Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Checking Out Switch Online's Virtual Boy Service?

Fighting_Game_Loser

I can't lie, I'm definitely excited for this. Is it expensive for the plastic replica? Yes. Is there no like "absolute 10/10 omg this is gonna make me go crazy" games? No. But be honest guys you haven't cared enough to want to try and give these games a fair shot anyways. I've gained a greater appreciation for the library overtime thanks to Jeremy Parrish's Works series and just the fact that these games are cool oddities that I feel like are worth giving a fair chance, even with the additional purchase of the cardboard model even.

Re: No Switch 2 "Upgrade Path" For Dragon Quest VII: Reimagined Planned

Fighting_Game_Loser

It's strange SE is trying to milk out people trying to buy physical but want Switch 2 enhancements when FF Tactics has a free upgrade. I gotta imagine the Switch one versions of their cross gen titles must have much more superior graphics and performance, but Tactics just feels silly for them to exclude probably because there is no real advantages they did to make them want to charge for it.

Re: Nintendo Direct September 2025: Every Announcement, Game Reveal, Trailer

Fighting_Game_Loser

I'll be honest I really loved the Direct. I mean obviously there were some eh things related to the stuff that was announced, but I just kinda move on. Galaxy games being expensive? Have them on Wii already. Paid DLC for a lot of titles? Doesn't matter if I feel like the game itself is good on its own imo, especially if a game is already pretty big. No new major announcements? That's just a lie Fire Emblem is a major title even if I haven't fully gotten into the series yet and was really the only realistic answer for a new major entry in a series that could be releasing now from Nintendo's main studios. No 2D Virtual Boy option? That one is honestly a little disappointing but I just appreciate Nintendo brought it back at all and in the silliest but best way possible. People just gotta stop expecting Jesus Christ to return with each Direct because you'll always disappoint yourself. I'm glad with what we got and gave it a 9

Re: Panzer Dragoon Zwei: Remake Resurfaces, Will Be Playable At TGS 2025

Fighting_Game_Loser

Ooof, this not looking great. Just from the screenshots it looks like a lot of the textures and lighting are super undercooked. Makes it look super low budget, especially in comparison to to the first remake which I thought at least looked pretty good in most parts. It just feels like MegaPixel studios just forgot they had their deals with Sega and are now having to rush them out. I at least hope it looks better in motion or gets graphical tweaks, but I'm not holding my breath. Super unfortunate

Re: "I Can't Afford To Give It Away For Free" - Silksong's Low Price Is Causing Devs To Re-Evaluate Their Own Games

Fighting_Game_Loser

The people here don't seem to be actually thinking with their brain and just going "GUUUHHHHH SILKSONG REAL GOOD GAME SO DEVS NOT WANTING TO MAKE BETTER GAMES!!!" Brother, these devs want to make their games really good, these are also small developers just like Team Cherry. You are literally missing the point made by Unbeatable's director here and reinforcing what he said that they can charge it that much because they already had all the money from the original, and were poised for success anyways, but everyone now putting all games on the same scale when they didn't have the resources or time to do so. You gotta have a little bit of empathy for the smaller devs that are trying to compete with this, because you can't get more games like Silksong of you don't support the indie devs that don't currently have that luxury.

Re: Poll: Three Months In, How Would You Rate Switch 2's Library So Far?

Fighting_Game_Loser

Idk what people are saying about this line-up being one of Nintendo's worst line ups for launch. People forget (sometimes I do too) that the Switch 1 was much more desolate in terms of games being released with the only things we've had being BotW, MK8DX, ARMS, 1-2 Switch, and Snipperclips up to that point within the same time of Switch 1, not to mention that we were still slow to get games coming as well since Nintendo was still reeling from the Wii U. I think in this time frame we've gotten a pretty similar line-up if not slightly better for Switch 2, everything just doesn't feel as exciting when we are building up momentum more after we saw how much of a roll Nintendo and 3rd parties went after the Switch got going, and us not just having excitement over a new idea of a console and just being out of the Wii U era. But overall decent start, we've gotten some really good 3rd party ports, but I think it would be nice to see some more exclusive titles coming (in terms of devs not having Switch 1 versions which kinda hampers excitement as well lol)

Re: Sonic "Love Letter" Rollin' Rascal Announced For Switch 2

Fighting_Game_Loser

@OwenGamer22 I think this is different in more that it's an early access option for those on PC and not like the game releases and it's single player is bare. TFH was a bit different in the fact it was a fighting game, and thus their main game was more so the actual combat systems rather than the single player mode, but I still get sad either which way with how the game got screwed over. That game is awesome to play online

Re: Yooka-Replaylee Gets A Launch Date On Switch 2, Full Physical Release Confirmed

Fighting_Game_Loser

I definitely feel like the $20 increase for physical across the board was done for the Switch 2 version to subsidize the cost of the cartridge while keeping it in line with the other versions. I think this definitely will show if people are willing to put their money where their mouth is and buy a physical version of a Switch 2 game for $20 more of it's all there, because man if people don't then you better not be complaining if companies do more key-cards

Re: Official Box Art For Kirby Air Riders Revealed, Price And File Size Confirmed

Fighting_Game_Loser

@Yodalovesu I believe so. Mario Kart World was around 24 gigs at launch so I assume they must have something big in it. Obviously cartoony and unrealistic styles can still be super big in size depending on how detailed it can get with things like animations, since games like Crash 4 were around that size and also look beautiful (PS4 possibly even being twice the size lol). The maps themselves do also look super beautiful but I know that this size is weird just because Nintendo are gods of compression, so that's why I'm thinking Sakurai has something even more for us later, not to mention the full $70 price tag

Re: Feature: 32 Games We're Dying To See On Switch 2

Fighting_Game_Loser

Lumines Arise I feel would have to be coming to Switch 2 at some point. I know the series has lots of legacy with PlayStation, but lets face it with the current environment with what's successful on PS5 it kinda needs a Switch 2 version. I do also hope that Enhance's other most recent title Humanity comes over because that can run on a PS4 so it would have to work well on Switch 2, plus mouse mode for it would be very cool to have since it's a VR title that uses motion pointing for gameplay

Re: Sonic Mania 2 Prototype Artwork Revealed By Christian Whitehead

Fighting_Game_Loser

@Druidsbrook They probably couldn't in a reasonable budget even if Sega wanted to because Ubisoft made the UbiArt engine just for Rayman Origins and Legends so that way 2D art can be used with as little work as possible. Not to mention they much more so used rigging for their 2D characters rather than hand drawn animation, obviously not saying that it doesn't look amazing, but it isn't exactly fully hand drawn.

Re: Capcom 'Platinum Titles' Sales Update - Monster Hunter, Resident Evil And More

Fighting_Game_Loser

Honestly idk why people are saying Wilds is doing awful. The game already sold at least half of World's sales in one month and people expect it to just keep selling multiple millions for month after month, when I think that more so everyone that wanted Wilds super badly bought it on launch, and that everyone else that would want it are just waiting for sales and being slow with game purchases since World definitely got to where it is from said sales and just the current climate of the average game buyer requiring them to be more picky and slow with the games they get

Re: Animal Well Is Getting A Gorgeous New Physical From Lost In Cult

Fighting_Game_Loser

Glad to see that this is getting a new physical! It honestly kinda sucks whenever I hear a game is a numbered LRG game because I know I probably won't be able to get it at all. At least with every other company I can buy it later if they don't sell out immediately. I think that's why I get so annoyed at LRG. Well hey at least this is here now
