So, after a shock Earthbound reveal and Nintendo Direct Mini, here's your Nintendo Download update, North America. We have a good idea what many of you will be downloading right away, but there are some other tempting goodies on the way to both Wii U and 3DS, so let's get to it.
Wii U Virtual Console
Earthbound (Nintendo, $9.99) — Deep breaths everyone, Earthbound is available now. It's had a passionate following demanding its Virtual Console release since the service began on the Wii, but supposed licensing issues seemingly prevented it from arriving on the service. Announced earlier this year with much fanfare it makes a surprise appearance this week, delighting many retro gamers even if it does come in above the standard SNES price band; Europeans, it's also waiting for you in the Wii U eShop. We'll work on a review of this Wii U Virtual Console release very soon.
Wii U Retail Download
The Smurfs 2 (Ubisoft, $39.99) — Available from 23rd July.
Wii U eShop Temporary Discount
Puddle (Neko Entertainment, $4.49 until 1st August, normally $7.99)
3DS eShop
Attack of the Friday Monsters! A Tokyo Tale (Level-5, $7.99) — Possibly the most intriguing of the Guild02 titles coming to the eShop, this is a mystery title that'll likely focus on exploration and storytelling above all-else. Has Level-5 saved the best for last in this series? We'll work on a review to let you know.
Robot Rescue 3D (Teyon, $2.99) — The third entry in this puzzle series from Teyon, and the first on 3DS, previous titles have offered tough puzzles at a budget price. This is apparently a MEGA pack of content with some levels from the DSiWare releases alongside new additions; we'll wrap our head around moving multiple robots at once and bring you a review.
Undead Bowling (G-Style, $6.99) — So it's a zombie apocalypse, you find the nearest weapon and shoot your way to safety, right? Wrong, you use dangerous customised bowling balls and put your ten-pin skills to the test, at least you do in G-Style's End of Days scenario. We'll see whether this bowls us over in our upcoming review.
3DS Virtual Console
Shantae (WayForward, $4.99) — Happy news for all as, after a bit of a delay from its original release date, this Game Boy Color title from WayForward finally arrives. The action / platformer / exploration game, where hair is a very useful weapon, has been on a number of wishlists, especially as DSiWare sequel Shantae: Risky's Revenge was one of the best and most popular games on the service. We'll be whipping our hair back and forth to bring you a review, soon.
3DS eShop Demos
The Denpa Men 2: Beyond the Waves (Genius Sonority, free)
Undead Bowling (G-Style, free)

Just finished downloading EarthBound, yay.
Gonna try out the free demo of Undead Bowling.
Shantae looks promising.
I was hoping for Super Mario Bros. 3 after last week's release of Super Mario Bros. 2.. Oh well. In other news, Earthbound is here!
Yay, Earthbound for sure!!
I'll be getting Attack of the Friday Monsters later today. Eee
What the hell is earthbound???
@GearsOfWarU A beloved franchise of Nintendo that you should check out the reviews and maybe a video so you see what it is about.
The Smurfs 2 for me.
I had never played Earthbound back in the day, and I can't say it really jumps out at me, but I've downloaded it anyway to give it go through. If it's half as good as everyone says, it'll be well worth the $10. Mostly, I'm just glad we wont have to listen to the "We want Mother / Earthbound!!" crowd anymore...
One of the best updates EVER... and I'm broke. 😢 Just kill me now. Earthbound & Shantae, whenever I have $$$ again.
I haven't played Earthbound and people say its good so I just might pick it up
Quick quiz, which game is longer Shante GBC or Shantae DSiware? I mean, because the price difference is ginormous for eshop standards (5 and 12 USD respectively).
Wow votes for Earthbound went from 2 to 24 in a few minutes. I've never played it and just this once I won't even wait for the review. I want to feel like part of the "it" crowd and just buy it right away. You get the strategy guide too for $10 that's great.
Leaving work in 3 hours and driving 90 mins out of my way to pack up my Wii U for my weekend trip. Awww yeah.
I'm happy about the earthbound release but the premium pricing ia not justified.
I am d/ling Shantae today. I have saved, & allocated some of my e-Shop funds for this. From what I hear, there is only a missing power-up of sorts, b/c the game will play like it's in a real GBC (Gameboy Color), as opposed to GBA(Gameboy Advance).
Everytime I do a Club Nintendo survey, I express how I am dissapointed in the 3ds VC, b/c they don't utilize the hardware to, & for maximum emulation. Lemme just give a quick example: the WU GamePad can be used to emulate the SNes mouse. Same thing with the 3ds touch screen.
I make a point to say how players should be able to custom tweak (original/monochrome) Gameboy games, w/ Super Gameboy enhancements(user-created custom colors/plattes, borders). I go on to type in that pretty much every feature the SGB(Super Gameboy) could do, the 3ds could do, too. For example:
1. Player/User-created custom colors for original GB titles. 2. Borders, & the gameplay screen itself can be drawn on, just by using the touch screen to draw, & then the image gets copied, or transposed to the top screen, where the gameplay is. 3. The special sound fx that certain SGB enhanced titles contained. 4. Though rare, there was, I believe at least, 1 game, that actually displayed 16-bit graphics when played through SGB.
I also express how for games that supported (being played in) different formats, the players should be able to launch those games, & play them in their preferred emulated format, that said game supported. Game&Watch Gallery 2, & Link's Awakening DX are 2 examples of titles currently on the e-Shop that supported both the SGB(custom built-in borders, & colors included on both carts), & GBC. Not only that, but they were also black carts. This meant they also could be played on the original GB. 3 different formats supported. Donkey Kong is another example on the e-Shop, having the ability to play in the original GB, as well as being made for the SGB. The players should have the ability to decide upon booting up the game, how/what supported format we want to play it. This would solve the issues of ppl unable to see/play, & therefore not d/l any original GB games, due to no-color, aside from that pea-green. It would also take care of the inablity to 100% certain games, that needed to be played on more than 1 system, for acheiving that 100%.
Edit: If I owned a WU, I would get Earthbound. I'm also getting the Dempa demo.
It's times like these where I wish I had a Wii U...
...and no, not for The Smurfs 2.
This is the best Nintendo Download in recent memory. <3
Hopefully if the Wii U version of Earthbound sells well they'll consider bringing it to 3DS as well so I can enjoy it for the first time.
Wow
Earthbound, immediately.
Im a bit confused about the digital guide to earthbound that is supposed to come with it. Is it a US only thing ? I cant seem to find anything
Everyone buy Earthbound! Really hoping this release makes Nintendo so much money they can't ignore its popularity. Just an absolutely wonderful RPG.
@Yomerodes Well the DSiWare was originally meant to be an episodic game but they combined it all into one game. I haven't played the original so I wouldn't be able to make a comparison between their lengths.
Ok Undead Bowling actually looks cool from the screen shots. Will wait for a review but if it scores anything above a 6 ill get it for sure lol!
BEST WEEK EVER AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
EarthBound
I've waited so long. After playing through most of the game a few years ago, I had thought I would never get the chance to finish such a wonderful experience, and now I can~
Can't wait to start playing!
Earthbound is more than a videogame, it's an experience BUY IT NOW!
"Attack of the Friday Monsters! A Tokyo Tale" seems to catch my interest. I wonder how the gameplay is like since I only see the trailer for it in the Nintendo direct awhile back.
Wasn't really crazy for Earthbound when I was younger and before the N64 smash bros, but I'll get it to support the effort Nintendo went through to release it and to see if my taste in games have change. Most times it doesn't but who knows
Yeah...Earthbound pretty much took me by surprised, lol. Already playing it.
I wanted to vote for both Earthbound and Shantae, Figured more people voted for Earthbound so gave my vote to Shantae
I'm going to buy Shantae. I have a very large library of GB/GBC carts. I just couldn't spend the money for some of the more rare gems like this one, which can easily go for a 100 bucks, even in very used condition.
if i had a Wii U i'd be DLing Earthbound, but as it stands it looks like i'll be picking up Attack of the Friday Monsters because it just looks and sounds interesting. I've got beetles to farm and a home loan to pay off first, though D:
The strategy guide is not downloadable or included in the purchase of the game. It's available on the nintendo website, anyone can access it online. would have liked to have seen it be downloadable...
Earthbound was a very pleasant surprise
I'll be downloading tonight! I'm very excited :3
@ultraraichu Good for you. I have picked up a few titles just to suppurt unique gaming types. The guild games to be specific. I have found that Earthbound seems more enjoyable to me these last few years as opposed to when I was a kid. Hope you enjoy it more this time around.
Of course I'm purchasing Earthbound, but Shantae and Attack of the Friday Monsters as well. Very solid week!
@theblackdragon Well sadly I spent my bonus $$ buying WiiU's for all my friends at the start of the year. Or else I would grab you one since it makes me sad when anyone doesn't own it . I am suprsied at just how much I enjoy it, especially when I wasn't really that excited for it in the first place. I though it would be like the Wii, which I hated.
@daveh30 Ah, ok. That was really misleading to say that it was included. But having it online gives you the possibility to view it while playing, instead of switching applications, since the browser acts as an overlay.
Wow, too bad I don't have a Wii U. Awesome week for Nintendo downloads. Totally getting Shantae today and Attack of the Friday Monsters once I get that $30 credit from Club Nintendo.
Kinda broke right now, but I think I have enough money to snatch up Puddle while it's on price cut. I'll get Earthbound, Metroid, and maybe some other next weekend after I get paid.
@Zodiak13: don't worry about me, i'll be picking up a Wii U once X hits. i'll be able to pick up Earthbound then. glad to hear you're enjoying yours, though! and in the meantime, i've got plenty to play on my 3DS :3
@daveh30 Ok, correction. It is available on their website in PDF format, so inaccessable via WiiU...bummer...
This is really getting confusing, where do the news come from that the guide is included then ?
10$? They're taking advantage. Bad Nintendo, bad.
@theblackdragon Yeah the 3DS does suck up a lot of my time, thankfully I get to play a lot at work. I try to just play consoles when I'm at home, except AC:NL often finds itself getting extra play time every night since I bought it. Stoked for X as well, but I do not have your patience.
I'm assuming that EarthBound is $9.99 instead of $7.99 because of the licensing hassles that Nintendo had to go through in order to put it on sale. I don't think $2 is that big of a deal...
Weeks like this can eliminate a considerable amount of complaining. Good job, Nintendo .
For everyone wondering: The Guide can be found at:
http://earthbound.nintendo.com/playersguide/
Type that into your WiiU browser and you can excess the guide everytime you need to.
To anyone who did not vote for Earthbound, may your Nintendo gamer card forever be taken away and your bones be grinded up and fed to Sony and Microsoft trolls.
@SkywardCrowbar I agree. I would have paid $20, and you know what, its all about supply and demand.
I'm a little irked by the price, but I might just have to get Earthbound to see what all the fuss is about. I normally only go for games that I know I'll like, but a game can only have so much praise before I figure it's probably a safe bet.
I really want Attack of the Friday Monsters! to be good, if only because I love the premise so much.
@XCWarrior But my son was playing Lego City, so I DL Shantae first, so that is how I voted. I did DL Earthbound the minute I could kick him off (yeah I'm a mean dad), but is my gamer card really revoked??
Is Earthbound coming to the Wii?
@Capt_N I stopped downloading original GB games cuz of lack of color. SGB emulation would have been wonderful but I doubt Nintendo will bother updating every single GB release cuz they wouldn't make any more money from people who already (often stupidly for collective reasons) bought the games in black 'n white.
@Zodiak13 You're bones are about to be grinded up and fed to trolls, and you're worried about the gamer part of it? Muwahahaha!
OK, since you downloaded it, I'll let you live... this time. But to the rest of you, buy or be grinded up! GRIND!
Just downloaded EarthBound. I'll be playing that while waiting for the Robot Rescue 3D review!!! Awesome Nintendo Download week!!
Sexy Shantae!!!
Wallet, it's that time.... don't worry, it's a special occasion.
2 instant buys for me, earthbound and shantae
2 instant buys for me, earthbound and shantae
2 instant buys for me, earthbound and shantae
Don't forget to snag Puddle while you're at the eShop for Earthbound.
Bet even with the most demanded VC title ever now being available, there will still be complaints about this update not featuring so and so game...
i have downloaded earthbound and shantae now i do not know what to play first
Downloading ATTACK OF THE FRIDAY MONSTERS right now. Finally!! I've been looking forward to this one for months.
EarthBound just instantly blew everything out of the water for this week! I absolutely love it!
@daveh30
it is online so that you can look at it while playing the game without having to quite, if it was downloadable as an app, you'd have to close earthbound to look at the guide.
Earthbound and Shantae make for a good week. I'll definitely be hitting up Earthbound first, though.
@ikki5
not if it was part of the game, the way they put the instruction manuals accessable from the home menu
Well that just came out of nowhere didn't it??? No pre-release hype, just sort of sneak it in to the e-shop. Not sure if that's the best idea but word will spread like wildfire. Good to see it's finally available for others!!
There is no sensible reason that Nintendo doesn't have every old Nintendo game ever made on the lineup for VC release ASAP. Triple the team of guys who are working on the VC stuff until its all there. Until you have some new content to excite gamers, at least provide the old stuff.
@MrPockets poke fun at the smurfs all you want, but my wife is begging me for it, so i will have to fork over cash for it =(::;
I know shes just secretly trying to get me to spend all the Pikmin 3 money before Saturday.
I can't wait to hear about what has been changed from the original SNES release in this digital re-release of EarthBound, if there are any differences that is.
I was holding out on buying a WiiU, but the ability to play these older games on the game pad while not holding up the TV makes me want to buy the console just for this!
"supply and demand"
@Zodiak13 not to nitpick, but since its digital Nintendo has an unlimited amount of copies to sell.
@DerpSandwich The game probably isn't for everyone... You have to like RPG's to really get into it.. My brother never liked it, but I had a ball playing it.. different strokes.
@element187 I do like the occasional RPG and I love a good story. Hm. I'll have to think on it more. (Not like I have the money for it yet anyway. XD)
"There is no sensible reason that Nintendo doesn't have every old Nintendo game ever made on the lineup for VC release ASAP."
@theadrock13 There is a sensible reason.. Nintendo didn't accumulate 10 billion in extra cash from doing unsensible things.... By trickling out titles on the VC they give the titles that aren't as well known some breathing room... if Nintendo just bombarded their entire catalog in one swoop, consumers would only buy the games they know and love from their childhood and the rest will just sit out there unpurchased.
From a business perspective it makes perfect sense. Heck even I have fallen for it and picked up a couple VC titles I never heard of before just because there was nothing else to download.
@XCWarrior But what if you don't have Wii U? I want one, and I want to play Earthbound, but my 3DS is taking up too much of my money.
@element187
I'll repeat myself to be more clear: Nintendo ought to be dedicating the resources to have all old titles on the lineup for release. I did not say that they should all be released on one day (not sure why you implied that). They don't have content for their only console, yet there is a library of content in the closet. Utilize your assets Nintendo. There might be some potential buyers of the U who are super jazzed to play that old title from their youth. Nintendo doesn't have the luxery of taking their sweet time getting the market interested in the U.
And as for Nintendo doing unsensible things: take another look at their history to see how untrue that statement of yours was. Heck, just look at how they botched this latest console. Did they create, launch, and market the U in a sensible manner to you? smh
I would have been a little happier for earthbound on the Wii...oh well I guess I will go with Shantae.
I'll just get Shantae for now, for some reason I'm not really all that hype for EarthBound.
Nintendo could be making more money if they still offered games for the Wii (Virtual Console and Wii Ware). That's just bad marketing. Some people are not going to buy a Wii U no matter what because of the higher price.
Nintendo could still give titles room at 1-2 releases a week for the Virtual Console.
I don't have the money for anything right now, so I'll just download the demos for Denpa Men 2 & Undead Bowling.
nothing for me...which is all good anyways since i'm getting SMT IV and Animal Crossing this weekend
Ness is ripped off in Smash Bros.
Earthbound and Shantae in the same week? Did the underworld just freeze over or something?
I hear Earthbound is pretty good.
Earthbound and Attack of the Friday Monsters are on my list for this week.
EarthFLIPPINGbound.
@tsm7 one could make a point that having the game guide included which is going for $150 on eBay would justify the extra few dollars.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/EARTHBOUND-PLAYERS-GUIDE-for-Super-Nintendo-SNES-Strategy-Book-Scratch-Sniff-/271239965437?pt=Video_Games_Games&hash=item3f27296afd
Once I pick up an eshop card, I'll pick up Earthbound.
So....about Mother 3......HURRY UP AND BRING IT OVER HERE!!!
@Yasume .... just looked it up on wiki... its a Japanese RPG ... that was popular in Japan but seen as a failure in the West. Well I'm not big on Japanese RPGs ... so I will be glad to pass on this title... but if your a fan glad u can enjoy it : )
@XCWarrior To be fair, not everyone owns a Wii U. Why would anybody vote for a download on a system that they don't even own. I have a 3DS, so my vote goes there.
Being a Sony or Microsoft fanboy has nothing to do with it. Not everyone has a Wii U, so why should they vote for a game they can't even play? If Earthbound was on the Wii or 3DS VC, I would vote for it in a heartbeat.
But since it is on the Wii U and I don't have one, my vote is going somewhere else.
And even so, not every Nintendo fan has to like Earthbound.

Click the little floppy icon in the bottom right hand corner and save the whole PDF!
This game looks Bad... ugh ... i want Dungeons & Dragons Chronicles of Mystara for the Wii U eShop !!!!!
Just Shantae GBC, Robot Rescue 3D, and the demos for me this week. Too bad they didn't release Earthbound on the 3DS VC.
@KnightRider666: and to bad they didn't release Shantae for Wii U VC.
@Ryno: I'd trade, lol.
@KnightRider666: Don't want Shantae that much lol
@Ryno: Lol. Who could blame you?
I really wanted Friday Monsters for some reason. And I don't have a Wii U, but Earthbound + Restore Points = Sold! Call it OCD, but never again will I get that Sword of Kings without resort points-or...wait, does it just load the drop data when you get into the battle--aw, it does, doesn't it?
Whatever though, great game.
@Yasume
Let me know when you want your $40.00 back.
I'll be getting Fractured Soul, which, I noticed, you guys didn't say was discounted. It's currently $8.00.
'ATTACK OF THE FRIDAY MONSTERS! A Tokyo Tale' looks really interesting. I'l give it a shot later, maybe during a sale.
Also, I'll give the Undead Bowling a shot, it just looks so funny.
And definitely Shantae. I watched the trailer. Heck yeah. Insta-buy.
I wish Earthbound would come to 3DS VC. Iwata-san's a genius.
But yeah, new demos and quality releases, even a Direct Mini, good Nintendo Download.
I got EarthBound, and will download Shantae when I get the funds.
I was hoping EarthBound would be available for purchase through the original Virtual Console in addition to the Wii U Virtual Console since I don't have a Wii U system and have no interest in getting one (unless my original Wii system malfunctions).
I seriously deeply envy all of you who are going to play Earthbound for the first time. ENVY! You are about to have a wonderful time.
I just downloaded EarthBound and Shantae. I've never played either of them, so this is super exciting for me! However!!! I have school stuff like homework and quizzes to deal with so it's super distracting!!! Hahahahaha! XD
How can I choose between 2 awesome (and might I add rare) games. Both Earthbound and Shantae for me. This is kind of a crazy coincidence though, since I picked up some Eshop money on a whim the other night just to prepare myself for something like this to occur.
Awesome week indeed.
EarthBound and Shantae on the same day!?? It happened didn't it, I got hit by a bus and this is some kind of coma dream.
I gots me Earthbound, as I've heard that's a pretty good game. I'll get Shantae at a later date (have to manage my money, after all).
I still wants my arcade version of Magic Sword.. that being said.. I will get Earthbound eventually.. but first.. D&D next month...
Nintendo took too long to release earthbound for me. So I got it on my Wii 3 years ago by running an emulator and rom. I know it's wrong but I got tired of waiting.
@daveh30 You think you're getting away that easily? Now they will keep asking for the whole trilogy! And when they get that, a sequel! You will never be free! Never!
Two questions:
1. Where is the Wii Virtual Console version of Earthbound?
2. Why is Earthbound more expensive than other Virtual Console games?
I don't have a Wii U so I don't know the regular prices of SNES games on it.
@LzQuacker

Downloaded Super Luigi U and Earthbound with my free $30 eShop credit! Thanks, Nintendo!
Shantae was a game I wanted to play for so many years, and now I finally can. I also downloaded Earthbound, even though I have it on my SNES, it's just worth it to have again.
Hey! If you are searching coins for Club Nintendo, you can get 140 coins for 29 bucks...
Or easily, 40 coins for just 4 bucks...
Cha, the DAY Earthbound comes out is the day I'm broke. I'll have money in the next like 3 weeks -.-
@element187 RPGs have always been my favourite, but I could never get into Earthbound - but then again, I could only get into a few JRPGs, such as Chrono Trigger - which I would definitely buy.
However, I am willing to give it another go...
@DrDaisy: The answer to both your questions can be summed up with one answer. Not only do you get Earthbound but you also get a digital copy of the strategy guide that came with the SNES release. So that's why it's more money and not on the Wii.
@Caryslan Love when people give serious responses to clearly joking around comments. Laugh a little. It's not totally banned on the Internet yet.
And, uh, I don't really care if you have a Wii U or not. In fact, anyone who doesn't own a Wii U should buy 2 COPIES of Earthbound!
@UndeadTree I want you to sit your 3DS down and have a talk with it. Tell it that it can't have all of your money. It needs to learn to share.
@Zodiak13 Thanks. So far it feel better playing it now then as a kid. I guess its one of those games that I was too young to get, just like Chrono Trigger.
My brother has the original EarthBound with the original box for his SNES, but I prefer geting it for $8 instead of $250 lol.
Had to use a credit card to add funds since i was just 5 cents short for earthbound, all because i downloaded 30 cent donkey kong yesterday. Time to see what all the hype surrounding this game is about.
when i get my wii u, ill get earthbound to go with my sexy 2 complete original copies. that makes 3! yaaay for greed!
got earthbound, never played it before. I did try the nes version on the pc once. cant wait to see what the fuss is about
I have never played Earthbound (or it's Japanese prequel and sequel). I guess now I need to see what all the fuss is about.
@Einherjar The guide is on Nintendo's earthbound "site".
http://earthbound.nintendo.com/playersguide/
Stopping support of the original Wii console isn't going to convince me to "upgrade", it's only going to make me feel resentful, and in my resentment, I use "other" methods to get what I want.
I loooove how skewed the voting is!
@theadrock13 I'm still failing to see how they are unsensible. They made a lot of right moves, do you think forces outside of their control makes them unsensible? Again, you don't build up a big bank account by making constantly bad bets. if the public hasn't reacted to the Wii U as they would have hoped there really isn't much they can do on short notice, only shift directions but that takes time, but its not like they are losing much money if any. The name of the game for any business is making money. They have more money in the bank than even super mega-corporations like Sony. its quite an impressive feat considering their only business is video games. How is it Sony is next to broke when they have so many different businesses to fall back on, their gaming division is in tatters from flop after flop after flop (I think they broke the record for the most flops in a single decade)
Nintendo is sensible because they know how to maximize profits, even in the smallest of margins. So because Nintendo isn't trying to stroke the ego of a single gamer it means they are being unsensible? Love the logic.
@DrDaisy: I dont see why you are expecting the Wii to last forever, this is normal. The Gamecube stopped production when the Wii came out the N64 slowly stopped production after the GC came out. The NES stopped production when the SNES came out. I am confused on why you would think it would be different with the Wii.
@Selene: Yeah, I too, don't really d/l (original/monochrome/pre-GBC) GB games. A few maybe, but I mean literally a few, like (a) small handful. Aside from those few titles, pretty much I skip 'em. There are 2 palettes: monochrome/greyscale, & a pea-green, w/ a sprite shadow effect, like what would have been seen on a real GB. Color customization would have been very nice, indeed. Unfortunately, I have a feeling if Nintendo added anything, it would be no more than how you could select a system pre-installed palette, upon booting up a GB game in a GBC, or GBA system.
That's cool that EB comes w/ a guide, like it originally did. That certainly opens up possibilites.
Shantae for me and maybe that undead bowling demo.
I wish they would just put earthbound on the 3ds so I can play it anytime or anywhere. I already have it on my super nintendo so why download it on the Wii? Its still the same thing. Have to be stuck at a Tv to play it. Sigh. I would download it immediately if it showed up on 3ds. Even better: release it as a game cartridge for 3ds! I'd pay $30 for it! Are you hearing me, Reggie?
@GearsOfWarU @GearsOfWarU The reason why Ness is in Smash Bros.
@JoeysGirl I think people have rigged their Wii Us in such a way that you can play it on the road on a gamepad, I believe it just requires a charger.
Shantae GBC for me
It's a Virtual Console game. It shouldn't be that hard to make it dual-compatible. It's also a game that Wii Owners have been begging for on the Virtual Console and should have been out ages ago. I think it's a crappy move to make it a Wii U-exclusive.
