I'm also very interested in this. It's been too long since we had a 3D platformer besides mario. I hope nintendo does snap them up. They really do need more development teams. Nintendo even said a year ago that they were looking into game studio acquisitions. These guys are a good start.

Bryon15 commented on Capcom Could Be Up For Sale After Shareholders...:

Okay. Let me start out by saying that I definitely think Nintendo should be the ones to get Capcom. Now I'd like to clear up a few things.

1. To people saying that microsoft, EA, activision, could buy capcom and thus ruin them. Stop worrying. There is a law in japan that prohibits an american company from buying a japanese one. This is why microsoft could not buy atlus, despite having more money then sega.

2. To people saying that nintendo flat wouldn't buy capcom. Why do you thing that? Is it because they didn't buy atlus? Consider this. Nintendo has explicitly said that they are looking towards mergers and acquisitions. Here is a link:

Nintendo said that AFTER atlus had already been sold and bought.

3. Nintendo and capcom have had a good relationship that goes all the way back to the 80s. megaman, street fighter, bionic commando, ghosts and goblins, they all debuted on nintendo systems. Plus we got the best resident evil games when they were gamecube exclusive. Capcom also made the best 2D zelda games.

4. Several dead capcom franchises would be revived. Like megaman, breath of fire, bionic commando. Games developed by platinum games like okami, viewtiful joe, devil may cry, godhand, would also be revived. I mean since platinum has such a close relationship with nintendo.

5. Perhaps most importantly, Nintendo knows that they are not getting third party support. This is the problem with Wii U. This is why we have these long game droughts in between new releases. Acquiring capcom would be a major help with that. Because they wouldn't just be getting capcom's IPs. They would get their development teams as well. Nintendo said that they wanted to expand. And this is the best way to do so. Who wouldn't want to buy a system that was the exclusive home to both nintendo and capcom franchises? I sure would.

Bryon15 commented on Month Of Kong: Whatever Happened To Donkey Kon...:

I remember this game. I wanted donkey kong racing so bad. And I still think that nintendo was stupid for not fully buying rare when they had the chance. And no, retro studios is NOT nintendo's new rare. At least not in my eyes they aren't.

Bryon15 commented on Wii U and 3DS Nintendo Direct Confirmed for 13...:

Here's a wish list of stuff I want, but know that we won't get.

1. That they bought both sega and capcom.
2. New 3D metroid from retro studios.
3. New 2D metroid from wayforward.
4. New star fox from platinum games.
5. New f-zero from sumo digital.
6. New megaman game (since they've acquired capcom).
7. Wii U version of kingdom hearts 3.
8. Release date for shin megami tensei X fire emblem, along with a trailer.
9. Update of their online infrastructure/real unified account system.
10. Massive amount of retro games released for the Wii U and 3DS virtual consoles.
11. Gamecube games on eshop.
12. Trailer for Zelda U.
13. Isaac and Sora as new characters in smash bros 4.
14. A full 3D kirby game for Wii U (seriously, why hasn't this been done yet?)
15. A 3D pokemon game for Wii U, like colosseum and XD.
16. New golden sun for 3DS.

Bryon15 commented on Feature: Nintendo Games Our Readers Would Love...:

I'd just like to point out that it is already possible to play gamecube games on Wii U. Hackers have done it. The homebrew app is called devolution. For games that require the analog shoulder trigger, there's a $20 adapter you can buy that let's you use your old GC controller. So there's really no reason nintendo can't put gamecube games on virtual console. If the hackers can do it, so can they.

Bryon15 commented on Talking Point: Claims of Wii U Third-Party Dev...:

Yeah. I think it's pretty obvious at this point that nintendo is going to have to carry their own system. But in order to do this, I think they need to increase their in house development studios, by buying some small independent developers and making them first party. Guys like platinum games, monster games, treasure, wayforward, sumo digital, etc.

Bryon15 commented on Review: Double Dragon (3DS eShop / NES):

Double dragon 2 was infinitely better than this. I don't understand why they keep releasing the first one and not the second one. This is why people hack their systems to run emulators.

Bryon15 commented on A Third-Party "Secret Developer" Gives an Insi...:

I think nintendo should just forget about third parties and focus on increasing their own in house development teams. Maybe buying some small independent studios. Like platinum games, monster games, sumo digital, treasure. Then they can carry their own system, without relying on third parties.

Bryon15 commented on Feature: The Biggest 3DS Games of 2014:

Yoshi's island 2 for nds was pretty mediocre. So I don't have high hopes for the sequel. I mostly want:

Bravely default
Kirby triple deluxe
Super smash bros 4
Monster hunter 4

But we did get a new zelda every year from 1998 to 2007. Here's a list:

1998 - ocarina of time
1999 - link's awakening DX
2000 - majora's mask
2001 - oracle of ages/seasons
2002 - a link to the past/four swords
2003 - the wind waker
2004 - four sword adventures
2005 - the minish cap
2006 - twilight princess
2007 - phantom hourglass

I don't agree with their current approach at all. I'm sick of mario, zelda, pokemon, all the damn time. We haven't seen a new f-zero since 2003. We haven't seen a new star fox since 2005. What is the problem? If they don't have enough teams to make these games, then buy more! Purchase platinum games already. Pick up next level games too.
