@Edgarska I don't I remember what I posted. Maybe I deleted it myself after realizing I posted in the wrong article (which has been known to happen), but it's also likely deleted (as this one likely will) by someone else to make a point. That's one of the main reasons I almost never come here anymore, and the only reason I'm replying now is because I noticed an alert in an email account I haven't checked in a while.

Yet another reason to hate Mickey Mouse ... and Nintendo. Nintendo never had the guts to officially release a system with a female character's theme even when Sony sold a Hannah Montana PSP. But they were boneheaded enough to have a GameCube with the obnoxious Lloyd from Tales theme.
Actually I pretty much hate all game companies right now (though I hate Sony and Microsoft for different reasons) but it's especially painful seeing this crap from a company I used to have so much respect for!

It's a Virtual Console game. It shouldn't be that hard to make it dual-compatible. It's also a game that Wii Owners have been begging for on the Virtual Console and should have been out ages ago. I think it's a crappy move to make it a Wii U-exclusive.

Stopping support of the original Wii console isn't going to convince me to "upgrade", it's only going to make me feel resentful, and in my resentment, I use "other" methods to get what I want.

Two questions:
1. Where is the Wii Virtual Console version of Earthbound?
2. Why is Earthbound more expensive than other Virtual Console games?
I don't have a Wii U so I don't know the regular prices of SNES games on it.

DrDaisy commented on Crystal Dynamics Explains Why Tomb Raider Isn'...:

I remember the Wii ports of Tomb Raider Anniversary and Tomb Raider Underworld being pretty dismal, but I think that had a lot to do with having to use unconventional controls. Had those ports been compatible with the GameCube controllers and/or Classic Controllers, I think they would have done much better.

@AugustusOxy
Actually, I was referring to region-locking, lack of multimedia compatibility, continued use of friend codes, lack of improvement on Miis, power that can barely compete with consoles that are at least six years old, limits on playable demos, lack of custom soundtrack support, and short battery life on typically mandatory controllers (unless you play next to an outlet or like using extension cords). Pointless nitpicking to you, I'd imagine, but that doesn't mean it doesn't matter to anyone else.
And they still used cheap labor to make Wii U's in a factory with working conditions that are questionable at best.
I'm no fan of Sony either or Microsoft either with their constant nickel-and-diming in the form of "DLC" that's actually just content on the disc that they decided to lock up and sell it for more while rubbing their customers' faces in it.

Nintendo shouldn't have counted on all its fan buying another under-powered system that has more restrictions and less positive features than its competitors. You can only demand your fans play by your strict rules for so long before they eventually abandon you.

@odd69 I played the demo on PSN, then bought the game on GOG when it went on sale. I guess I sorta used Sony, but I don't feel too guilty since they're not always up front about their digital merchandise. Actually, I don't feel guilty at all. I want to screw Sony even more!

I think psychopaths are more likely to be into violent video games, not the other way around. If I was going to blame someone though, I'd blame people who hunt animals with guns because I am sick to death of people telling me it's not okay to blame them for anything. Yeah, I hate hunters! So what?!

DrDaisy commented on Microsoft's Application For Killer Instinct Tr...:

So let me get this straight. They can't use the title Killer Instinct because of a show that came out much later on and is now gone anyway?
The only blockage I could see from porting Killer Instinct 1 & 2 is that those games' developments were funded by Nintendo so Nintendo owns the right to those games' source code.

I thought Real Bout Fatal Fury was already out on the Virtual Console. No matter. Keep'em coming, D4. I'm crossing my fingers for Shock Troopers 2nd Squad, Savage Reign, and Kizuna Encounter. Hey, why isn't Baseball Stars Professional on the Virtual Console?

I'll need whatever the hell I want to need! I am so sick of fanboys who defend every fault! What's next? "You don't need it to stay on for more than 30 minutes! Get outside."? Right now I'm trying to imagine what kind of excuse fanboys (or fangirls) would make for a system that demands monthly payments for use of each game even after it's been bought!

It looks cute, but hasn't pretty much everyone interested in Wii bought one already?
And it lacks online compatibility? Seriously?! That's ironic seeing as how the PS2 Slim came with a bult-in internet connection. Way to go backwards, Nintendo!

DrDaisy commented on Resident Evil Revelations Jumping Ship To PS3?:

How typical. Any time a Capcom game does well on a Nintendo system, it pops up elsewhere with new content. I don't mind if Capcom releases this game on PS3 (especially since I have one), but Wii U should definitely be considered as well. I may not be happy with the Wii U itself, but I do want it to get good games from third-parties.

Isn't it ironic that the one company still supporting the Wii Virtual Console once tried to crush Nintendo with arcade-perfect hardware? It probably would have worked too if the console and games weren't so damn expensive.

"Buy a game, make Mario say wahoo!"
I know that's kind of a joke, but since I grew tired of his voice a long time ago, you would have given me a reason NOT to buy a Wii U game if you were being literal.

DrDaisy commented on The Wii U CPU Is "Horrible" According To Metro...:

What can you expect when a system comes out that does not outperform 6-year-old hardware in every single way? I think Nintendo doesn't care much for for big third-party support because it has its own big-name games (and might see serious third-party titles as competition on its own platforms) and it knows there are millions of loyalists who will buy anything with Nintendo's name on it. I can't rely on a company that apparently thinks like that so I have no plans to get a Wii U, especially after reading report after report of bad news. Like I said before, Nintendo should have made a more powerful (if even more expensive) console and continued to support the Wii for a few more years and its more "casual" customers. I have no loyalty to Sony what-so-ever, but at least Sony had a good weaning strategy by slowly decreasing support for the PS2 when PS3 came out rather than dropping support for PS2 entirely.

I wonder if Nintendo will ever make Link's gender optional like the heroes of the Fable (after the first one) and Mass Effect games. It would be so totally worth all the misogynistic fanboy rage that would be sure to surface from backward gamers.

DrDaisy commented on Nintendo Has No New Wii Games In The Pipeline:

Not all that surprising. Nintendo wants everyone with a Wii to "upgrade". Maybe Nintendo should have made a more powerful console and continued to support the Wii as well like Sony did with PS2 after PS3 was released.
