I really hope they start adding Wii U eshop/ VC games to the Club Nintendo rewards alongside the 3DS and Wii downloads...

i would love to see some of the old VirtualBoy games hit the 3DS VC. Seems like a perfect fit to me.

anyone find where to enter the DLC code that comes with the LC Police Chase lego set? The code option in the Extras menu only takes 6 characters, and the code is 9.

I haven't had this issue... but I haven't had any of the freezing issues that others have spoken of, so I guess I'm just one of the lucky ones.

After looking at the Kickstarter page, this looks pretty deadly. Did the $20 pledge, includes a copy of the game for the Wii U, and the first 200 pledges @$20 get your name in the credits! Pretty cool!

Sony has always been my #2 console behind Nintendo... But I can switch to MS this gen, no prob. Sony doesn't offer anything that matches a good Mario game.

wasn't really looking forward to this one myself, but i know a lot are and this is a prick move by Ubisoft., especially after already giving a Wii U release date. Major blow for Nintendo.

I quite enjoyed both games. What i don't understand is why people think this really means anything either way. Just because one game sells more copies than another, on different consoles no less, does not really mean its the better game, or should necessarily be perceived as such. Theres lots of other factors. First off, 3D Land, as a handheld game, was cheaper. Thats gotta be good for SOMETHING in terms of sales. Second, 3D land came out at the end of 2011, the 3DS' first year. I don't recall being excited for any big releases that year that were not N64 remakes. It came at the end of a big dry spell, and games like MK7 and RE:R were still a couple months away, which is again gonna move a few extra copies. Galaxy, by comparison, came out a little over a year into the Wii's life cycle, at a time when the system had a much more respectable library than the 3ds' at the time of 3D Lands release. we had already seen some big first party titles on the Wii, including Zelda, Metroid, Mario Party, Mario Strikers, and Paper Mario. Not to mention that in 2007, the DS was going strong, where as in late 2011, the Wii was starting to collect dust. So I don't think we were quite as desperate for something, ANYTHING, to play at the time of Galaxy's release as we were when 3d Land came out. Not to say people weren't looking forward to Galaxy, but it was a different situation.

Luigi's Mansion I already have pre-ordered. Lego City is a maybe. I have the Wii U game re-ordered, so whether or not I get the 3DS prequel will depend on how the Wii U game is. Other than that, nothing else I'm really looking forward to yet. would love to see a new Zelda game on the 3DS...

I personally have not experienced any glitches in 2 complete runs through the game. I'd love to see a secondary melee weapon added... but its probably a fix for the infamous nursery basement glitch... that i've yet to be able to trigger.

Been looking forward to Luigi's Mansion for a while now and have that pre-ordered. Pre-ordered Lego City with my Wii U. Definitely looking forward to the Wind Waker re-release, and seeing some new screens/ video of the new Zelda. Mario Kart I don't mind waiting for since MK7 and Sonic & AllStars Racing are still getting lots of gameplay on my systems, but I'm dying to see whats goin' on for the new 3d Mario. Still waiting for some more info on Game & Wario, but that's looking like a probable purchase.. Pikmin 3, Rayman, Project Cars, NFS, Yoshi... plus we know theres the inevitable announcements for Metroid, Maro Party.... Plus Virtual Console... gonna be LOTS to throw money at. And I can't wait

Best thing about Nintendo's Customer service.... I've never had to use it. Their products are top notch in that regard. MS and Sony... not so much. I had 3 Xbox 360's crap out on me in little over a year before I gave up on them, and Sony, after much deliberation, replaced my original PS3 when that died. By contrast, my Wii, GameCube, N64, DS, GBA, hell even Gameboy, are all still going strong. I have no worries about the build qualities of my Wii U or 3DSXL.

I was expecting things to be a little slow for the Wii U eShop starting out, while things are under development, but i'm surprised they would let 2 weeks go by with nothing at all for the Wii U. Even a couple of new demos would be nice...

The only problem I have with any of this is the way the media (NintedoLife included) reports on it. They are not "working on a fix", because nothing is broken. It was set up that way by design. They've agreed to change it. Why is the media LOOKING for ways to crap on Nintendo?

If I can figure out a sensor bar solution, I'd almost be tempted to pick one up to install in my car, hook it up to my in dash LCD.... it'd never get used, but it'd be cool, all the same. I'm almost a big enough consumer wh0re to do it... lol

@Kid_A piece of kit is very much a military-ism... we use it all the time. everything we use is issued kit...

battery life of the gamepad has been my only complaint of the Wii U so far. The Nyko battery pack for the 3DS has served me well, so i won't hesitate to pick up the UBoost...

Love it. online communities on other systems are way too testosterone driven, to put it mildly. MiiVerse is friendly, inviting, and to me much more mature than the knuckle draggers who insist they can only play "mature" games on "mature" systems, and that Nintendo is for babies...

I don't understand why anyone would try to compare the Gamepad to a tablet.... its not one. In a way, shape, or form. Its a controller, for a console. Period. If you want to play crappy iOS or Android games, go get a tablet. If you're looking for more than a million Angry Birds and Cut The Rope clones, Nintendo is still innovating.... Mr. Molyneux should try that sometime.

@Chrno-x You realize optic is a lower quality audio than HDMI, right? personally I'm glad they left the older optic port off and stuck with HDMI, just to keep cost down.

He wishes he got the first one... They always ignore the fact that there are two time zones in Canada ahead of EST. Atlantic, and Newfoundland. The Newfies were home from their local midnight launch and downloading the update an hour and a half before anyone in the states got their hands on one.

as long as games can be loaded from the external HD, its pretty much a moot point for me.

I like the idea of achievements, but I don't find most developers handle it in a way that enhances the game. I usually prefer to not look at the PS3 trophies in a game, and just see how many I get 'by accident' on a normal play through of the game. Normally ends up being in the 15 - 25% range. I'd like to see more of them be things that you could reasonably be expected to do playing the game normally, rather than some of the BS wild goose chases they try to send you on.
But thats just me....
