35 Minutes? Is that the longest Pokemon Presents yet?
I'm ofc expecting a release date for the first SV DLC and Detective Pikachu Returns news (and mobile games) but I do wonder what they'll have in store for a 35 min Presents
New 3D Mario is the most obvious choice. I think the biggest games Nintendo can launch their consoles with is either a 3D Mario or a 3D Zelda* and it obviously won't be the later
Also it has been almost 6 years since SM Odyssey (Bowser's Fury was made by a different team)
*A new Mario Kart would also be a big title but I think that's something they would release 1-2 months after release, similar to MK8DX
Can we also add OoT3D and MM3D to that list? I know that the N64 versions are on Switch but I really don't want to play those since I'm used to play the 3DS versions
@TenEighty ?
I never said games should run higher than 720p undocked? I said that many games don't manage to run at 720p undocked like the XC games, SMT5 and dozens of other games
Therefore I wish for a console that is actually able to run all games at 720p undocked. I agree that a higher resolution than 720 doesn't really make much sense on such a small device
Pikmin 4
It's my first Pikmin game and I'm enjoying it so far
Also I'm replaying XC2, this time in handheld mode. Doesn't look as bad as I remember. I mean it's not great but I remember it being an absolutely blurry mess in handheld mode
Not sure if I'd consider Donkey Kong Country a dormant franchise considering we got an entry on Swich. I mean sure it was just a Wii U port and we haven't gotten a completely new entry since 2014 but still
There are still so many cool tracks left in Tour that I hope there will be a Booster Pass 2 (or MK9 on the Switch 2 depending on when that one releases)
Interesting that they would add Moonview Highway since it is a city track even though we have already many (based on real cities) city tracks from tour
@-wc- Yes, because you have to recontextualize all those playable characters (which are a total of 14 btw). Also the way the story was told was completely different then, story telling was just completely different back then. I mean just compare the original FF7 to FF7R (and that is only the first 7h of the original recreated), how much stuff they had to adjust to work in a modern environment
Imo that can be harder than just straight up write a new story + characters
@nocdaes Depends, if we are talking about a 2D-HD style remake it surely would be "easy" But if we are talking about something like FF7R I'd imagine it would be very difficult, reimagining such an old game from the SNES era in modern style surely doesn't seem like an easy task, especially if they don't just straigth up want to cut parts of the original
I actually think that it is easier to come up with an entirely new game instead of modernizing such an old game

Re: Video: Red Dead Redemption Runs Pretty Darn Well On Switch
Glad to see that it actually runs (very) well
Which makes cloud versions of Kingdom Hearts 1&2 look even more pathetic
Re: Bandai Namco Has Multiple "Major Titles" Planned For The Remainder Of 2023
A remaster of the Xenosaga games would be cool
Re: Baldur's Gate 3 Surpasses Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom As 2023's Highest-Rated Game
@Rika_Yoshitake "PC fanboys are hyping this game up like it's welcoming to anyone... newsflash it's not..."
Same could be said about Elden Ring, BotW/TotK etc
Re: Talking Point: Should The Pokémon Company Stick To Just One Pokémon Presents A Year?
It depends, if there is a brand new gen it would make sense to make on in february and a second one at a later date.
But if there's nothing interesting to show they shouldn't do one. Todays Present could easily be a bunch of tweets
Re: Brand New Pokémon Dipplin Is The Best Thing About Scarlet & Violet's DLC
It's really interesting that Duraludon gets an evolution considering it already has a base stat total of 535
Re: Pokémon Scarlet & Violet DLC The Teal Mask Launches This September
I always wanted to have a giraffe Raikou
Re: Red Dead Redemption Fans Aren't Happy About Rockstar's "Lazy Port"
"with many fans of the company now essentially calling for a boycott"
Those always work out as we can see with games like Pokemon SwSh, Pokemon BDSP, Pokemon Legends Arceus, Pokemon SV etc
Re: Talking Point: Will You Pay $50 For Red Dead Redemption On Switch?
@Dragonite89 Well luckily this isn't a cloud version
Re: Surprise! Red Dead Redemption Blasts Onto Switch Next Week
That's pretty cool
But after that aweful GTA trilogy I'm interested to see how well it runs

Re: Rumour: Nintendo Is Targeting A 2024 Release For The Switch Successor
"but VGC states that it will utilise an LCD screen rather than an OLED screen in order to keep costs down"
If that's true, couldn't they just do two models? A cheaper one with LCD and a more expensive one with OLED?
Re: Rumour: Nintendo Is Targeting A 2024 Release For The Switch Successor
@TenEighty "What can you really add but 4K and maybe a slight bit faster. Maybe. 1080p gaming is more than enough for me."
Problem is that many games just don't run at 1080p docked/ 720p undocked. Some games are nowhere close to that
Re: Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Character Designer Celebrates 1st Anniversary With Special Artwork
Best game of 2022 for sure
Re: Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption Logo Update Reignites Remaster Rumours
@EaglyPurahfan 3 is the new 1 I guess
Re: Talking Point: Would A Third Wave Of Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC Have Been Too Much?
I'm more than happy with the MK8DX Booster Pass which kinda replaced the SSBU DLCs, but that's simply because I like MK8DX more than SSBU
Re: Review: The Legend Of Zelda: Oracle Of Ages - An Engrossing Tale And True Series Classic
I never actually beat OoA since I got stuck at some whirlpool puzzle (also that game had some pretty confusing puzzles in general)
Guess it's time to fix that
Re: Japanese Charts: Pikmin 4 Posts An Out Of This World Debut, Knocking Zelda From The Top Spot
That's amazing for a series that was never known to be a big seller
I kinda hope the Xenoblade series will see that kind of launch numbers one day
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Pikmin 4?
I haven't finished it yet but the running animation is a 10/10
Re: Feature: How Summer Holidays And Childhood Nostalgia Revolutionised Pokémon
Pokemon Ruby was my first video game ever and I'm really glad it was. I have such fond memories of the Hoenn games
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (July 22nd)
Pikmin 4
It's my first Pikmin game and I'm enjoying it so far

Re: Reminder: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Xenoblade Chronicles amiibo Are Out Today
I didn't buy much Amiibos in the past but this year I already bought 3 (technically 4): Sephiroth, TotK Link and Pyra/Mythra
Re: Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Version 2.1.0 Is Now Live, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
@EaglyPurahfan Pretty sure those will just give you N and Ms outifts
Re: Poll: Which Dormant Nintendo Franchise Would You Most Like To See Return?
Not sure if I'd consider Donkey Kong Country a dormant franchise considering we got an entry on Swich. I mean sure it was just a Wii U port and we haven't gotten a completely new entry since 2014 but still
Re: PSA: For Goodness Sake, Don't Fall For This Nintendo Switch 2 'Leak'
I think it's funny that there are only Switch games on the box of the system
Cause what would be a better way to convince costumers to buy the new system than putting a remaster of a Wii game that released in 2020 onto the box?
Re: UK Charts: FIFA 23 Takes First Place Ahead Of Switch FC 24 Debut
@Smug43 People who weren't even born when MK8 originally released
Re: Random: Digital Foundry Says Switch 'Last Of Us' Clone Has "No Redeeming Features Whatsoever"
My personal game of the year, every year
Re: Review: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass Wave 5 - A Good, But Not Great, Penultimate Lap
I don't get the hate against Moonview Highway
Re: Random: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's Sunset Wilds Is Missing One Key Thing
Some assume it's because of MK8DXs more complex skybox and because the shadows on maps are pre-rendered
Makes you wonder why they didn't choose any other track to bring back though
Re: Mario Kart Tour Gives Petey Piranha The Spotlight In Upcoming 'Pipe Tour'
There are still so many cool tracks left in Tour that I hope there will be a Booster Pass 2 (or MK9 on the Switch 2 depending on when that one releases)

Interesting that they would add Moonview Highway since it is a city track even though we have already many (based on real cities) city tracks from tour
Re: Poll: What's Your Game Of The Year Of 2023 So Far?
Before release I was sure it would be TotK and while I really enjoyed it I have to say that I enjoyed Octopath Traveler 2 more
TotK was just way to similar to BotW imo which after 6 years of wait was a bit dissapointing
Re: Nintendo "Currently Have No Specifics To Share" About Other Legacy Platforms For Switch Online
I hope if they ever rerelease TWW and TP it's the Wii U versions and not just upscaled GameCube versions
Re: Nintendo Download: 29th June (North America)
I'm very interested in Rain Code, but the lack of reviews a day before release has me concerned
Re: Activision CEO Made 'A Bad Judgement' In Not Supporting The Nintendo Switch More
@PessitheMystic Tbf people generally didn't care about the Wii U, therefore they also wouldn't care about CoD on Wii U
Re: UK Charts: Unsurprisingly, Final Fantasy XVI Knocks Zelda: TOTK Down A Peg
@ComfyAko Playing it right now (about 30h in) and I definitely wouldn't consider FF16 a "generic AAA copypaste title"
But I do admit that the overall tone of the game is imo very different to other FFs, it's much darker
Re: Poll: What Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Wave 5 DLC Racer Are You Most Excited About?
Kamek, simply because he was supposed to be playble in MK64 but got scrapped for some reason and he hasn't been in a mainline MK yet
Re: Poll: What Did You Think Of Today's Nintendo Direct?
Very good Direct imo
(especially for Mario fans)
Re: Pikmin 1 & 2 Drop On Switch eShop Today, With A Physical Bundle On The Way
I wouldn't mind if they start shadow dropping remasters of GameCube games in every Direct from now on
Re: Super Mario Bros. Wonder, A Brand New 2D Mario Game, Is Coming To Switch
Finally a new 2D Mario with new gameplay and a new creative artstyle.
Looking forward to it
Re: Detective Pikachu Returns At Last This October On Switch
Looking forward to Detective Pikachu: Tropical Freeze
Re: Pokémon Scarlet & Violet: The Hidden Treasure Of Area Zero Gets New Trailer
I saw Flygon, that's all it takes to make me happy
Re: Random: Some Square Enix Staff Really Want A Final Fantasy VI Remake
@-wc- Idk, that's hard to tell

Amazing, looking forward to it
edit: Also nice to have a Direct at a humane time for europeans

Re: Skyrim Has Now Sold More Than 60 Million Copies, According To Bethesda
@quinnyboy58 Well you could just google it but anyway it's PlayerUnknow's Battlegrounds, a battle royal shooter
Re: Metroid Prime 4 Developer Retro Studios Is Hiring New Talent
@SBandy1 I assume he's refering to when that game restared development and in that case it's been 4 years
