You know, when I saw the thumbnail for the article I thought it would be for a Switch 2 version/patch for XCX

But anyway, absolutely deserved. Honestly has to be my favorite developer out there

All I can say is that it looks fine in action and that is all that matters to me

Just because they like handhelds doesn't mean that they have to buy the handheld-only Switch

If I'd only play in handheld-mode and were to buy a Switch I'd buy the Switch OLED because the screen is bigger + better

Jokes aside, yes while there are probably quite a lot people who actually bought HL for their Switch I still think that people bought the Switch version to upgrade to the Switch 2 version.

For example I could buy a brand new copy for the Switch for 35€ and upgrade for 10€, or I could buy the Switch 2 version for 55€. The former saves me 10€

I'd guess that buying the Switch version + 10£ upgrade is cheaper than buying the Switch 2 version

I've noticed that downloading games drains the battery quite a bit, like 7% in 15 minutes or so.

But as soon as all download finished the battery drain is ok. Before I went to sleep my Switch 2 was at 100% and in the morning it was at 93%

The Switch Pro controller was my favorite controller because it is just so comfortable to hold

And the Switch 2 Pro controller is even better. It just feels so smooth to hold, is very comfortable + the new additions like the headphone jack and the back buttons are a welcome addition

It kinda smell like the Steam Deck vent (which means it smells good)

I had no clue how massive the Game Gear was. I knew that it was big but not THAT big

Thankfully mine already got shipped

@Joeynator3000 The lake which they show in the trailer is known to have an aweful framerate on Switch though

I think Reddit caps the framerate of video to 30fps because the video Serebii posted on Twitter looks a lot smoother

@Woodyshoe Yeah but the games on mobile are spin-offs specifially created for mobile and not the actual console games

@Woodyshoe Doubt it for multiple reasons:

1. I just cant imagine Nintendo putting any of their games onto PC, even if it's one of the lesser popular franchises
2. If they start putting XC or FE onto PC they'd open the floodgate to questions like "Where's Mario/Zelda/Pokemon on PC?"
3. Nintendo already has a big problem with piracy and putting their games onto PC wouldn't help with that, even if they come with something like Denuvo

Also will get BotW + TotK but I already have the Switch Online Expansion Pass so I'll get them for "free"

And also will check out Pokemon SV because I'm curious to see the game with an actual framerate

Not only will we have song for the 32(?) tracks but also a ton of remixes of older songs during free roaming and the intermission tracks.

The most interesting part about this is the fact that they were actually working on an original Mario Kart for the Switch despite the immense success of MK8DX

I assume the framerate upgrade for Bowsers Fury means that the game finally runs at 60fps (or maybe even 120fps) in handheld mode. The fact that the game only ran at 30fps in handheld mode while running at 60fps docked was always a bit off putting

Also the fact that there is no confirmed update for any of the XC games (yet) is a tragedy

@LegendOfStewart I assume since those games are programmed to be able to run at 60fps (even if it barely hits that target on Switch) that the Switch 2 is simply powerful enough to run those games at a constant 60fps. Therefore no upgrade required

@Solid_Python I could definitely see Nintendo allowing devs to restrict GameChat in some way in the future in order to get more memory for the game if memory ever becomes a problem

For example on the original Switch Nintendo at some point after release started to allow devs to use a bit more power in handheld mode in order to get better performance
