Depends, remakes like TTYD or greatly expanded upon remasters like XC:DE I don't mind full price but a simple HD upscale like Skyward Sword HD shouldn't be the same price as BotW when that one released

Whoever thought that generic Toads would be better than characters with unique designs deserves to step on a Lego brick

I only have 4 stars right now but as of now I don't really get the hype (and the hate against CS/TOK because of it)

I mean don't get me wrong, it is a fun and good game but considering how much people have hyped up the game over the years it is kinda a let down

The things I like:

• Unique character designs (that's one complain agains CS/TOK that I can completely understand)
• The tone of the game. There's surprisingly a lot of dark humor for a Mario game
• The combat system is more flashed out compared to the newer games. It could be a bit faster paced though

Things I don't like:

• The map design. For the most part it feels like I'm running from one corridor to another. TOK is way better in that aspect
• A ton of backtracking. I wouldn't mind that if I'd like the map design, which as I mentioned I don't

In conclusion I think if they'd take the characters and combat from TTYD and the map and music from TOK we'd get the perfect Paper Mario

edit: Btw I'd give it a 8-8.5/10 right now

I think North America / Japan looks better with the black spine whereas Europe / Japan looks better with the white spine

PM2 is the only one I haven't played yet

Curious to see if it lives up to the hype

There are multiple reason to pre-order:
1: I often get the game 1-2 days before release. That can't happen with digital pre-order
2: It's often cheaper. I have PM pre-ordered for 50€ whereas in the eShop it would be 60€

With that being said, I only pre-order games where I can be certain that they won't dissapoint me. Been doing that for 10 years and in those 10 years the only game that ended up actually dissapointing me is Cyperpunk 2077. And even in that case I would probably have bought it as soon as the reviews for the PC versions went live since those ones were actually good

People just need to stop pre-ordering games from companies that are known to not care like EA

That would make 4 years between Gen 9 and Gen 10 instead of the usual 3 years

Would be really cool if TPC/GameFreak finally realized that they need more time

Since they won't immediately stop selling Switches as soon as the next consoles releases I think they'll managed to do it

@Ade117 I think Nintendo cares more about maximazing their profits than surpassing the PS2s sales

So whatever their plans are I doubt that the PS2s sales numbers affects their decisions

Would be cool if the Switch 2 uses the docked-profile of Switch 1 games in handheld-mode, that way switch 1 games would automatically look better in handheld mode without the need of an update

The only problem would be games like Lets Go Pikachu which doesn't support normal controls in docked mode

I still think that Sticker Star is a good game, it's just not a good Paper Mario

I mean the fact that they had to add stuff like cutscenes, proper music etc via a day one patch is more than enough prove that they gave ILCA very little time

I think TotK might be the better game overall but my first playthrough of BotW was way more special to me because it was something completely new whereas TotK just expanded upon BotW

DLCs are cheaper (30$-35$ instead of 60$) and GameFreak actually has to add a lot of new stuff instead of rereleasing the same game again with like 5% new content (like USUM)

I'm surprised that people think Legends Arceus is a spin-off
It's made by Game Freak and it introduced new Pokemon + forms

Sure, the gameplay is a bit different but that's pretty common for other series/franchises, just look at 3D Mario games, Final Fantasy etc. By that logic BotW would be a spin-off since it plays differently to other Zelda games

@anoyonmus @Yoshif3 Yes, the Boo and the title glow in the dark after holding it infront of a flashlight etc for a few seconds

At least the european version does, just tested it again to be sure

edit: There's also the Polterpup and two ghosts on the cover that can only really be seen if they glow

Color Splash and The Origami King are very good imo as long as you don't have the "It's not PM2"-mindset

If you like it or not but Pokemon XY are over 10 years old at this point. RB and GS already have gotten remakes when they were that old

It's their right to go against emulator, especially if it encourages piracy (which it does by its sheer existence) but it's also sad cause emulation is currently the only way to e.g. play XC2 with a good resolution or Pokemon SV with an actual framerate

There may not have been a mainline cross gen Pokemon game yet but imo that's mainly because either the graphical jump was to big or the type of system was entirely differnt (3DS to Switch)

But if the Switch 2 is just a more powerful Switch I don't see a reason why they wouldn't be able to release the game with higher res + framerate etc on Switch 2

They didn't show much but the fact that they are working on a (modern day) Legends game is absolutely amazing. And Mega evolution is finally returning

Really surprised that it's Kalos instead of Unova though

Btw the fact that it's releasing in 2025 makes me wonder if the game releases for Switch 2 as well

The Presents that revealed SV was 13 min long, the Presents that revealed Legends Arceus and my worst nightmare (BDSP) was 20 min long and the presents that revealed absolutely nothing was 35 min long

I hope this means they will focus on the relevant stuff here
