"In handheld mode, you can use the touchscreen, but gyro control (for the pointer) is also available, which was missing from 3D All-Stars"
Thank god, gyro control my not be ideal in handheld mode but it's still miles better than having to use the touchscreen.
Also there are parts in Galaxy 2 that would be straight up be unplayable without it (there are parts where you need to press A to jump with Yoshi, use the C-stick to move left or right and use the pointer to aim at a point for Yoshi to cling onto)
Call me crazy but games have become so detailed and busy to look at that I don't mind a game having dated visuals. At least it looks better than PLA and SV
As long as it is fun and runs well that's good enough for me
@RemyMartin "Being so expensive will only hurt sales" but will it hurt overall profit? For example if they sell 15mio copies for 40$ that would be 600mio$. But if they sell 10mio copies for 70$ that would be 700mio$ (not all of that 600/700mio$ goes to Nintendo but for simplicity let us say it does)
So yeah, from a business perspective it probably makes sense, since they care about total profit and not total sales numbers
(Btw don't interpret this as me trying to defent the pricing)
The price for the DK Banaza DLC is way more expensive than anticipated as well
20€ for one new Level and a "Luigi's Ballon World" style minigame. For comparision for just 5 € more (therefore 25€) you can get 48 tracks and multiple new characers in MK8DX
Glad to hear that it's running well. But with that being said Sector 5 and Wall Market are the real stress test, hope it runs well there too. But it did on the PS4 so I don't see a reason why it wouldn't
(Although there also is no reason for Elden Ring to run that poorly either)
Very happy about that, the game looks great but other Falcom games do not have the best performance on Switch. Glad that there is a version that takes advantage of the Switch 2s hardware
Is it known if it launches the same day as the other plattforms? Since it only mentions "Additional information will be announced at a later day"
But I don't know how I feel about that trailer. Customizeable main character even though the series is known for having 8 different main characters? Also I'm just not a fan of town building in general, I hope it can be entirely ignored (like e.g. Bravely Default)
While ports of games like RDR2, P3 Reload, Metaphor etc would be very welcome I really hope that we get to see some brand new games and not just ports of years old games
With that being said I hope we get a Switch 2 version of The Witcher 3
That's honestly a very neat look behind the scenes
I think the Switch version didn't look half bad (although it's hard to judge based off a blurry screenshot). I never noticed just how much vegetation there is on Switch 2 without the comparision
Still can't believe someone would destroy their voice acting career just because they were salty they didn't get the (honestly unreasonable) amount of payment they asked for
Although I guess it wouldn't be the last time someone would ruin their voice acting career over stupid reasons (looking at Paimons former VA)

Glad to see that Flygon is on that list
Re: "Lighting Is The Crucial Factor" - How Square Enix Made Final Fantasy VII Remake Look Great On Switch 2
Should have remade Final Fantasy 13 if Light(n)ing is important

She is from the Hoenn region and invented the PokeNav

Re: Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties Announced For Switch 2, Launching In February 2026
@Warioware I already played Yakuza 7 and 8 and both Judgement games so I know I will like them
Just havent gotten around to play the Kiryu games yet
Re: Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties Announced For Switch 2, Launching In 2026
Guess I really should finally play Yakuza 0, Kiwami and Kiwami 2, huh?
Re: Anniversary: Celebrate Unova As Pokémon Black & White Turns 15
"Do you want to see a Pokémon Black & White remake?"
No, not after what they did to the DP remakes

Re: Pokémon Legends: Z-A Is Getting DLC Featuring Two Different Mega Raichu
We got DLC for an unreleased game before we got MK World DLC

Re: The Entire Final Fantasy VII Remake Trilogy Is Making Its Way To Switch 2
Why wasn't that in the Direct? That's a huge announcement (although we already kinda knew that)
Re: Pokémon Pokopia Looks Like An Adorable Mix Of Minecraft And Animal Crossing
You know what? This actually looks surprisingly neat
Also surprised that it's made by GameFreak
Re: Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave Charges Onto Switch 2 In 2026
Sothis at the end definitely hyped me a lot.
Three Houses is one of my favorite Switch games, I hope this one is as good as that (and not like Engage)
Re: Surprise! Donkey Kong Bananza Is Getting DLC, And It's Out Today
Really surprising considering that SM Odyssey never got (paid) DLC
Re: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Finally Gets A Release Date, Open World Confirmed
It will still be a good game and I'm excited for it but man I'm burned out of open world games
Especially for a game like Metroid Prime
Re: Nintendo Direct Announced For Friday, 12th September 2025
I appreciate that the Directs are at convenient times for Europeans lately
In the past they sometimes were at 11pm/midnight
Re: Poll: Three Months In, How Would You Rate Switch 2's Library So Far?
@X68000 You specifically said first party line-up. Only two of the games you just mentioned are first party
Re: Poll: Three Months In, How Would You Rate Switch 2's Library So Far?
@X68000 A brand new Mario Kart and DK Banazna is a worse first party line up than the forth same-ish NSMB and Nintendo Land on Wii U?
Or the 3DSs Nintendogs, Pilotwings and Steeldiver?
Re: Ubisoft Employee Explains Why Star Wars Outlaws Is A Game-Key Card
Waiting for the "I would have accepted 20fps if that means it's actually physical" comment
Re: Review: Star Wars Outlaws (Switch 2) - An Underrated Adventure, A Super-Solid Port
Have seen some footage and it seems to run really well
Makes me wonder why Ubisoft barely showed any material of the game on Switch 2, and that little footage they showed looked kinda rough
Re: SEGA Shares A Detailed Look At Yakuza Kiwami & Kiwami 2 In New Switch 2 Gameplay Footage
I assume Kiwami 1 will perform just like 0 since both use the same engine
Kiwami 2 uses a newer engine so I wouldnt be surprised if it's 30fps
Re: Pokémon Legends Z-A's Latest Mega Evolution Looks Particularly Snazzy
Always liked Hawlucha and this mega looks really cool
Definitely will be on my team
Re: Pokémon Legends: Z-A Seems To Be Teasing Another New Mega Evolution
Hope they don't announce all new Mega evolutions. Want some surprises left for the actual game
(And avoiding official news is hard unless you stay completely off the internet)
Re: Video: So Just How Might These Third-Party Games Run On Switch 2?
I'd say they would run well (min 1080p30fps) if the devs bother to optimize the game. With focus on if
Re: Video: We've Played Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade On Switch 2

Re: Trails In The Sky 1st Chapter Switch 2 Edition 'Upgrade Pack' Confirmed
@Liam_Doolan Great the hear, will be my first proper JRPG on Switch 2 then

Re: Final Fantasy 14 Director Has Had "Positive Discussions" With Nintendo On Switch 2 Port
I'd love XV. Square Enix did try to bring it on Switch after all but it didn't work out (so they just ported the mobile demake)
I know that it isn't the most beloved FF entry out there but I personally really enjoyed it
Re: Tales Of Xillia Remastered Coming This October, Confirmed 30fps For Switch
No Xillia 2, no Switch 2 version
Disappointing
Re: Geoff Keighley Either Knows Something About Silksong, Or Is Just Being A Tool
I mean we already know that a Silksong demo will be playable at Gamescom so it'd be weird if it isn't shown beforehand
Re: Mario Kart World Announces 'Summer Vacation Skill Test' Event
@ImpromptuR Tbf the biggest part of the playerbase is most likely located in the northern hemisphere
Re: Japanese Charts: Sega's Latest 'Demon Slayer' Kicks Mario Kart World Into Second
MK World only in second?
That's it, the Switch 2 is officially doomed
Re: Metroid Prime 4, Elden Ring, Silksong All Playable At Nintendo's Gamescom Booth
A lot of games without concrete release date on that list
Hope that means they release sooner rather than later
Re: Octopath Traveler 0 Will Bring More Adventures To Switch 1 & 2 This Year
OT2 was my GOTY 2023, even beating out TotK
But I don't know how I feel about that trailer. Customizeable main character even though the series is known for having 8 different main characters?

Re: Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase Announced For Tomorrow, 31st July 2025
Will probably be more interesting than the average Partner Showcase but I'd still have prefered a general Direct
Re: Mario Kart World Has Been Updated To Version 1.2.0, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
"No CPU" and "Mushroom only" in VS mode are a very welcome change for me
Re: Hollow Knight: Silksong Will Be Playable At Gamescom 2025
Monkeys paw: We get a Silksong demo but it is like the Sonic Forces demo that ends after 30 seconds
Re: Pokémon Legends: Z-A Is Getting Its Very Own Switch 2 Bundle
@ParrakerriRush Probably because Nintendo wants Pokemon fans to buy a Switch 2 instead of playing ZA on the original Switch
Re: Poll: Has Donkey Kong Bananza Made You Feel Ill?
I get motion sick very quickly and I did not have any problems so far with DK Banaza after about 15h of playtime
Re: Pokémon Is Teasing Something Ahead Of Next Week's Showcase
Switch 2 patches for the remaining Switch Pokemon games would be neat
Re: Here's What Donkey Kong Bananza Looked Like On Switch 1
That's honestly a very neat look behind the scenes
I think the Switch version didn't look half bad (although it's hard to judge based off a blurry screenshot). I never noticed just how much vegetation there is on Switch 2 without the comparision
Re: Atelier Ryza Secret Trilogy Deluxe Pack Announced For Switch 2 And Switch
Would also love an update for Yumia
Re: Mario Kart Tour Grants Access To A Track Unplayable Anywhere Else
Well at least the music of that track is in MK World
Re: Rainbow Road Master Is Back In Mario Kart World, And He's Already Setting Records
@chewytapeworm Reminds me of how I was in the top 100 in Koppa Freerunning in Cap Kingdom in SM Odyssey simply because it was release day

Re: Video: Digital Foundry Delivers Its Technical Analysis Of Street Fighter 6 On Switch 2
Honestly reading those internal resolutions makes DLSS even more impressive.
I played SF6 a bit on Switch 2 and never would I have guessed that the resolution is upscaled from as low as 540p/360p
