Re: Yes, We're Getting Closer To Pokémon Day

@VoidofLight The difference is that in the past the systems were to different or the graphical jump to high were it didn't make sense to do cross gen

GB to GBA: 8 bit on GB to 32 bit on GBA. They basically would have to remake the game at that point

GBA to DS: 2D on GBA to a 2.5D on DS. Also the DS had two screens unlike the GBA so they would have had to redo the menues

DS to 3DS: 2.5D on DS to 3D on 3DS

3DS to Switch: The Switch has only one screen unlike the 3DS so they would need to redo the menus etc

But the Switch 2 is most likely just a more powerful Switch so just increase the resolution, framerate and maybe better graphic settings and they'd have a next gen version

Only 145h this year which is less than TotK alone last year, with the top one being M&L: Brothership with 45h

But not surprising tbh, not that many releases that interested me this year + some of them I played on Steam Deck instead

I'm sure next year it will be a lot more though when the Switch 2, XCX:DE, MP4 and Legends Z-A + unannounced Switch 2 games release

I hope the games also run better as well, even without an update for the game that takes advantage of the more powerful hardware

Constant 30fps in games like Pokemon SV or TotK or constant 720p in XC2 (which runs somewhere between 540p-720p) would be nice

Updates that allow those game to run at higher res and framerate would be more than welcome though

Honestly the biggest disappointment of the year for me

Over the years I've heard so many times how amazing the game appearently is, also people always claimed that it is way better than Color Splash and Origami King (both games I really enjoyed)

But for me it just didn't live up to the expectations I had because of that, I actually ended up dropping the game in chapter 6 because the game simply bored me to death

Kinda weird that we haven't seen anything about Legends Z-A in over 8 months. This must be the longest timespan between reveal and the first proper trailer for any (mainline) Pokemon game. I mean there have been Pokemon games where the timespan between announcement and actual release was shorter than that

I assume they safe the gameplay reveal til after the Switch 2 has been announced cause otherwise I don't see why they wouldn't show anything at all for that long
