I've not played any of them, but I've been tempted to play RE1 OG version. The only things I know about that game is that there's zombies, there's a mansion, and the Jill Sandwich line. And the remake changed the Jill Sandwich dialogue.
It's probably a dumb reason for wanting to play the original instead of the remake, but I'm sticking to it.
Tinkaton. I've not played these games, but flicking through all the designs, that's the one that most stands out to me. I love an oversized hammer, very reminiscent of my times playing Monster Hunter.
Toxtricity. Finally selecting something other than a bird pokemon for one of these polls, as it has a cool design. I prefer the Low Key form in terms of colour scheme.
Probably be a lot of talk celebrating the history of the series. They love doing that in these presentations, and the 30th anniversary seems like an appropriate time to do that again.
I fell of the pokemon wagon with the more recent games, so it would be lovely if a 10th gen trailer could somehow get me excited for the series again.
Rufflet. It's a fluffy bundle of feathers, what more could people want?
There were a few other choices though that I was torn between. Pansage and Litwick are also cool. And I did think about Tympole too, most because I have tadpole in my username.
Piplup. I had to think about this one, and was reluctant to say a starter as they're always the obvious choice, but Piplup is so cute and adorable. Outside of starters, Magmortar does does often find a place on my team, though that pesky trade evolution makes it hard to acquire unfortunately.
Latias. Sticking with the legendary birds (I'll count that duo as birds). Latias seems a bit more memorable to me than Latios due to that movie when she disguises herself as a human and interacts with Ash.
Lugia. Similar to my gen 1 reasoning, birds are cool and I have a thing for the legendary birds. Choosing between Lugia or Ho-Oh isn't easy, but Lugia just has slightly more of a mysterious vibe to me.
Moltres, who's also my favourite overall pokemon. Birds are cool, and I have a thing for the various legendary bird pokemon. Moltres wins out of them, as it's so majestic and has a cool design.
I'd probably play the extra DLC routes if they ever get added, but it's already a hugely long game as is. It might be better for them to put their ideas into a new project.
Not surprising. Like others are saying, my local GAME is also just a small, quiet corner in a Sports Direct. They've got a very minimal selection of games, so there's no longer any fun in browsing through them. Plus, they always seem to be pricey.
They did exactly this in the gameplay already, but it feels weird to rebrand it at this stage. Personally, I still count it as one absolutely huge game.
Good. It's silly that other places do it before the end of the year anyway. If they do it early, the stats will miss out on much of the December gaming.
Wow, it's rare to see any mention of Tonic Trouble these days. I think I had the earlier beta (special edition) version of it bundled in with stuff when I was young, but didn't get too far with it. The initial ski slope level was fun, but then I quickly got stuck in the caves afterwards.
It was starting to lose its shine on X and Y, but they still had some interesting aspects. But Sword and Shield was when things became much more noticeable.
Interesting timing for this article. I've only recently started playing Persona Q2, and just reached the P3P female protagonist.
The lack of her was my main reason for skipping P3 Reload. I've played the male protag route before in P3P, so was hoping to play the female protag route next time I revisit P3.
The golden pistols should also be available in Tomb Raider 1-3 now. I could unlock them on PC, so I assume it'll also work for the Switch version of 1-3.
I did get confused by the "Ranoa's Treasure" quest repeating, and was wondering whether or not all quests would repeat. Good to know that it was just a glitch with that one quest that they've fixed.
It's been a steady decline for years. Last time I went into my local shop, the collection of games was woefully lacking, with much of the limited space being taken up by other merchandise. I'd thought they'd closed for good in my city, but apparently they're now holed up in a nearby Sports Direct.
Rhythm Paradise Groove is the big one for me. I ought to get into the AI The Somnium Files games as well, and Metroid Prime 4 and Fantasy Life i are also games I'm considering.
It's not a good a sign, sounds as if the game has been in development hell. I enjoyed the original Fantasy Life, but I think I'll wait for reviews to check it's all good before getting Fantasy Life i.
The Zero Escape and Danganronpa creators can make some brilliant games, so I'll keep my eye on this one, though I'll need to see more before I'm sold on it.
I'm looking forward to them. Chapters 1 and 2 were great. But at this point, I'm tempted to wait for all the chapters to be released before playing any more Deltarune.
Whilst I'm interested in the upcoming Layton, Decapolice, and Fantasy Life games, the multiple delays have got me concerned. Hopefully this event will give some reassurance.
Surprised to see all the timeline hate here. I just view it as an interesting tidbit. It's mostly held together by ductape anyway, and can be retconned whenever needed by the developers, so it's not something to take too seriously.
It could easily go either way. If I had to guess, I'll say they'll keep the Switch ticking along this year, with the successor's announcement in early 2025.
It's a slightly underwhelming way to end the challenge, but clearing every uploaded level (excluding TAS and hacked levels) is still a brilliant achievement. A big well done to everyone involved.
It's interesting how this level is the final one. At first glance, it doesn't seem as wild as a lot of other kaizo levels out there. But, the multiple frame perfect jumps makes this deceptively difficult.
Hopefully someone will manage to beat it before the servers are shut down.
It feels too soon. They were only the previous generation, and I still play my 3DS occasionally. Plus, two and a half months notice isn't really a lot of notice for this kind of announcement.
Nintendo Switch 2 is a decent and sensible suggestion. It's not their usual naming pattern, but it wouldn't surprise me if they went with that. However, my money is on them replacing the word Switch with a new buzzword.
The last Keiji Inafune game I played was Mighty No 9, so I'm now much more inclined to hold off and wait for reviews after seeing his name attached to Fantasy Life i.
The game wasn't on my radar before, and judging by the demo, it isn't for me. There's a heavy focus on self-discovery, which isn't a topic that interests me all that much. Likewise, the pizzle-solving is more basic than I would have liked, with it heavily railroading the player towards what they should be doing next.

Rowlet. Owls are my favourite real-world creatures, and Rowlet is adorable.

Re: Random: Disney's Terrible DS Game 'Cory In The House' Is Now Selling For Hundreds Of Dollars On eBay
Yikes, those are ridiculous prices. As brilliant as this game is, I wouldn't pay any more than $100 on it.

They did exactly this in the gameplay already, but it feels weird to rebrand it at this stage. Personally, I still count it as one absolutely huge game.

Good that they're fixing things, but it should have been better at release. I'll wait for a good sale, then see what the state of the game is then.

My personal favourite of the series, glad to see they're remaking it.
Re: Professor Layton And The New World Of Steam Has Been Delayed Until 2026
I'd forgotten this was supposed to be releasing this year. I must have already assumed it was getting delayed into 2026.
Hopefully the final game will be brilliant, as long as up to the standards of the previous games then I don't mind the extra wait.
Re: Review: SHUTEN ORDER (Switch) - An Audacious Swing That Doesn't Quite Connect
I should be excited for this one. However, I'm still playing The Hundred Line, and would burn out playing another Kodaka game anytime soon.
They're clearly trying something weird and interesting here, though I am bearing the "Jack of all trades" complaint in mind.
Re: Poll: Ahead Of Silksong's Release, Are You 'Finally' Playing Hollow Knight?
No. It's on my wishlist, but it's fairly low priority. I might get it eventually, but there's plenty of other games that I'm more eager to play first.

My highlight of the Direct. The previous Rhythm Paradise games are all wonderful, so hopefully this one will also be great.
Re: Feature: "If The Game Does Not Sell Well, We May Be Done" - It's Do Or Die For Too Kyo Games & 'The Hundred Line'
I enjoyed the demo, and hope it'll do well. However, it does seem like a fairly niche game, so it's a risky move.

Re: Your 'Nintendo Switch Year In Review 2023' Stats Are Available Now
I played 4 Switch games for a total of 130 hours.
My top 3 most played are:
1) Monster Hunter Rise
2) Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
3) WarioWare: Get It Together
Monster Hunter was the bulk of my Switch time at 93 hours. And the other Switch game I played was Suika Game (that watermelon game).
