Cool, but I stopped playing weeks ago. The grind just became too tedious for me, especially when trying to get items in the limited time events. That duck looks nice.
Nothing for me this week, especially since Monster Hunter World is about to consume my life. I never got round to playing Pokemon Yellow VC, so I'll pass with Crystal VC.
Edit: Celeste is getting great reviews. I'll have to look into that game.
Could be something that is truly fascinating, or it could be something minor and insignificant. I think the latter is more likely, so I'll keep my expectations low and see what's announced later.
This game is a maybe for me, I'll have to read the reviews first. I'd enjoy this, but it's not a high priority for me.
I'm curious about what the amiibo does. I don't plan on getting the amiibo, so it could discourage me from getting the game if too much is locked away by it.
Underwhelming. Most of the games were either ports of games I've already bought or games that I don't care about. Not enough new games to get me excited.
@ThanosReXXX Nintendo helped to fuel the fires of the internet hype. Usually I set my expectations low so that I'm not disappointed, but I figured that I'd be optimistic for a change since Nintendo was hyping it up.
This seemed quite underwhelming. The excessive hype and Nintendo Twitter trolling set my expectations way too high, and I didn't care for the shorter "mini" format.
With all this hype, people are going to have ridiculously high expectations. The Direct needs to be fantastic to meet these expectations, otherwise there'll be plenty of complaining.
The big problem for me in recent games is that the story and character interactions get in the way of the gameplay. The Rotom Dex is really bad at this, as it always seems to be talking or asking questions just as I want to look at the map. Too often in Ultra Sun I found myself mashing the buttons trying to hurry up the dialogue so that I can go back to exploring and catching pokemon. The story drags on too long in Ultra Sun, especially early on.
Also, I'd like lots more exploration. Ultra Sun constantly seems to be railroading you to your next objective. Legendaries should be a lovely reward for exploring, it was always satisfying to find one at the end of a big cave in previous games. Most legendaries in Ultra Sun were found using the Ultra Wormhole, and so didn't need any exploration to find them.
More optional extra activities would be great. I'd really like a return of contests, battle frontiers and safari zones. Once the post game story is over in Ultra Sun, there wasn't much I really wanted to do in the game other than capture some legendaries and other pokemon, and a little bit of the Battle Agency.
Lost Vikings was good, but rather hard. Didn't know there was a spiritual successor. Certain recent games have made me wary of spiritual successors, but I'll have a glance at this one on Steam later and see whether it's any good.
A text list would be great. Video only is annoying.
Off the top of my head, some of my 3DS favourites are Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask, Zero Time Dilemma, Etrian Odyssey IV, Pokemon Ultra Moon, Kid Icarus Uprising, and Hatsune Miku Project Mirai DX.
I enjoyed it on PS4. It was alright, but not particularly great or anything. There wasn't anything majorly bad with it, but everything about it could have been better. The combat wasn't very exciting, none of the characters were that good, and some of the puzzles were frustrating.
It's an excellent first year for the Switch, but I'm wondering what 2018 has in store. There's not too much confirmed just yet. I think it's about time for another Nintendo Direct.
I'll give it a try once it releases, but I'll treat it cautiously. It's a free to play smartphone game with microtransactions, so I'm concerned that there might be too much grinding or waiting.
Gonna get Pokemon Ultra Moon tomorrow, so I'll play lots of that. I'm also going to play lots of Horizon Zero Dawn Frozen Wilds. If there's time, then probably a bit of Etrian Odyssey V or the old Tomb Raider 3 as well.
I'll keep an eye out for any spectacular Switch deals. I doubt there'll be anything particularly amazing this time, so I'll probably wait until next year at the earliest before getting one.
These games should be great, but I'm skeptical about whether Ultra Sun and Moon deserve a 10. There were lots of small annoyances with regular Sun and Moon, such as a story that drags on with no way to skip cinematics, an annoying rival, festival plaza, and the sos mechanic. Maybe the Ultra games have fixed the issues with the older games, we'll see.
Wasn't there already did a review for this, or maybe I'm getting muddled up with somewhere else. I only got this a couple of days ago, so I'm still in stratum 1.
So far, it seems to be at least on par with Etrian Odyssey 1 Untold. I wouldn't say it's as good as Etrian Odyssey IV, mostly because I preferred having the overworld and multiple smaller mazes instead of 1 huge labyrinth.
That expansion pass seems rather expensive. I'm also not keen on the expansion pass model, I'd prefer to be able to just buy the new story and skip the other things.
Okay, I'm finally hyped now. That remix of the Team Rocket battle theme sounds fantastic, and it's nice to have other teams as well instead of just being completely gen 1 fanservice yet again.
Also, this trailer had a good amount of legendary bird pokemon in it
I've become rather wary of Mega Man inspired Kickstarter games with the word Mighty in the title, so I won't back this. If the final game ends up being brilliant, then I might get it.
My biggest worry with this so far is that it looks more like a copy and paste of Mega Man instead of taking inspiration from it.
It's very unlikely Europe will get this. Atlus isn't releasing the special edition of Etrian Odyssey V with the soundtrack in Europe, and there's no reason why this will be any different.

Re: Soapbox: Monster Hunter World Has Claimed Its Prize, But Capcom Shouldn't Forget Nintendo
I've been really enjoying it so far. Glad they focused on making the game as great as possible on the more powerful hardware.
Re: Review: Celeste (Switch eShop)
If it weren't for the great reviews it's getting, I would have easily overlooked this game.
Re: Nintendo Download: 25th January (Europe)

Re: Miitomo Meets Its End On 9th May
It was fun at first, but I eventually got bored of it and deleted it.
Re: Amazon Launches Pokémon Channel For TV Shows And Movies
I'll pass. It would have been tempting if there wasn't an additional fee on top of the Prime subscription fee. Also, missing episodes are a pain.
Re: Feature: The Biggest Nintendo Switch Retail Games of 2018
Bayonetta 3 and Hyrule Warriors are the main ones here that I'd like to get. Also, there's a little thing called Pokemon.
Re: Nintendo Announces Labo, A Range Of Interactive DIY Toys For Switch
It was a better announcement than I was expecting. It looks cool, but it's not really something I'm interested in buying.

Re: Video: Get Ready To Crack The Case With Detective Pikachu In The Latest Trailer
@rjejr lol, just a coincidence. I changed the avatar just before the Chibi Robo tweet.

Re: Nintendo's Track Record With Direct Broadcasts Points to Another One Happening Very Soon
I'm not getting myself hyped up again until there's confirmation, especially since the lacklustre mini Direct didn't meet expectations.

Re: Bayonetta 3 is In Development and is a Switch Exclusive
Slightly disappointing that it's an exclusive, I sure would have liked to play this on my PS4.
Re: Mega Man 11 Confirmed For Switch In 2018
I'm cautiously excited.
Re: Nintendo Download: 30th November (Europe)
Nothing for me this week. I've got Xenoblade 1 unplayed somewhere, I'd like to play that before considering getting the new one.
Re: The Latest Zelda: Breath of the Wild Gift is For Your Lovely Horse
That would be an ecumenical matter!
(father Ted is still one of my favourite comedies)
Re: Feature: Yooka-Laylee Jumps Onto Switch in December - We Learn All About It
I enjoyed it on PS4. It was alright, but not particularly great or anything. There wasn't anything majorly bad with it, but everything about it could have been better. The combat wasn't very exciting, none of the characters were that good, and some of the puzzles were frustrating.
Re: Deals: Upcoming Nintendo Switch Games And Accessories For December
Not a lot for me this month. I've still got the first Xenoblade unplayed somewhere, so I'd like to play that before considering getting XC2.

Re: "No Plans" To Localise Shinobi Refle: Senran Kagura, Says Marvelous Games

What's up with that title? Minimum of 2 years away is still very far off.
Re: Nintendo Is Ramping Up Switch Production To 25 To 30 Million Units A Year
That's very ambitious. As long as they don't overdo it and have lots of Switches sitting on shelves, then next year should be very good for Nintendo.
Re: Video: L.A. Noire for Nintendo Switch Gets a Smart New Trailer

That's very optimistic. The Switch is doing very well, but I can't see it getting close to that number. Even the Wii hasn't hit that estimate.

Etrian Odyssey V for me, since the physical release is on Friday.

Re: The Next European Splatfest is All About Breakfast
It's lame that Europe didn't get a Halloween splatfest. I could never say no to a hot breakfest, so I'd like that team to win.
