My big issue with dynamax was how long the animation cutscene takes. Especially if both you and you opponent are using it on the same turn, then there's a lot of waiting around.
I only started playing Splatoon 2 about two years after launch, so it's a bit too soon from my perspective. If it's more of the same and without any major new features, then I can easily skip the third entry.
The PWT was a lot of fun, but the B2W2 side activity that I spent the most time on was Pokestar Studios. That involved helping to direct movies by selecting the appropriate moves in the fight sequences. And there's a few different endings for each movie based on how you did.
I'm not fond of those comparisons. If they're comparing it to something I like, then I tend to assume the new game won't be as good as that. And it's just seems to be a lazy way to describe a game.
Nightfire and Everything or Nothing were the two that I played back in the day, with Nightfire being my firm favourite. It would be interesting to try out Goldeneye if they ever re-released it and make it purchasable.
It's been so long since I've played the main game, I'd forgotten there was DLC incoming. Cuphead is great though, so I'm eager for this. With both this and Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, I'm going to be oddly busy with expansions at the end of this month.
After being disappointed with Shield, I'm basically done with the mainline series for now. Of course I could well change my mind if Scarlet/Violet end up being phenomenal, but currently I expect to skip them.
The only one I've bought is a PS Vita game, IA/VT Colorful. But as it's a rhythm game, knowing Japanese isn't required to enjoy it, once you figure out all the menu options mean.
Working as a support studio isn't normally as fun as having your own product to work on. Sounds like it ended up being more fun than expected as they got to work on entire tracks.
Porting the older Persona and Shin Megami games to modern hardware would be lovely. I'd also like to see more Etrian Odyssey, though that might not be the same without the 3DS dual screens (guessing they'd have to scrap the map-drawing mechanic, and turn it into an auto-fill map).
Makes sense to keep the current naming convention. Earthbound Endings is a good idea, or replace the word Endings with another word relevant to the game.
That was a tricky poll question, trying to choose between 999 or Danganronpa 2. I went with 999, which was also my first.
The World Ends With You is also a killing game then? I was aware of it being an RPG in modern day Japan, but didn't know it had killing game elements. It doesn't seem like there's a good way for me to try it out though. Second-hand Nintendo DS prices for it are expensive over here, and there's various complaints about the Switch version's controls.
I'd also recommend Your Turn To Die. It's not on Switch (though neither is Zero Escape), but it's a free web browser game. It takes quite a bit of influence from Danganronpa and Zero Escape, but whilst also doing its own thing.
Yooka-Laylee 1 was fun, but wasn't that great. I'd like to see them do another 3D game. With a bit of refinement, they could make a wonderful 3D platformer.
The first two games are worth playing. I think the story was better in Bayo 1, but Bayo 2 really nailed the gameplay. This sounds like Bayonetta 3 would be better for those who know the reoccurring characters along with a rough idea of past events.
The name makes it sound like a generic strategy game. That wouldn't matter that much if there's lots of promotion for it, but so far I've not heard too much about Triangle Strategy.
As a huge Wallace and Gromit fan, I'm super excited that it's getting a new movie.
The job listing for the game says it's a brand-new IP, so it'll be fun to see what they design as the main character. 3D action-adventure games are my jam, so I'm looking forward to seeing what they come up with.
I'll hold off until the reviews are out before considering getting this. My main concern is whether the gameplay is any good, or whether it will get boring fast. And also, will it be fun to explore the region? The new trailer doesn't reveal much, so I'm unsure about these things.
The game has a lot of potential, but there's always the possibility that it'll end up being mediocre.
I enjoyed the first two, but I'm in no rush for more of it. If the third game has a hefty single player campaign or tries something new, then I could be tempted to get it.
Not having played the original was the main reason why I didn't consider getting this. Though, I don't know if the original is even required to understand what's going on here, or if they're completely separate.
I was interested in trying out the original, but the weird controls in the remake (and no Pro controller support) put me off getting that.
So they're alright games, but also perfectly skippable. My biggest issue with Shield (outside of the dialogue and Hop) was being overlevelled. Battles were a case of pressing A mindlessly without putting any thought into them.
As overlevelling is a problem here too, and there's nothing particularly impressive about these games, I'll skip these or maybe wait for a sale.
Lazy is the wrong word here. I'd suggest the word Cheapskates instead, which may apply more to the publisher than to the developers. Lack of resources is a bigger problem than laziness, which could mean a lack of time, budget, or skills.
Developers work hard, but it's business decisions that causes games to cut back on features or not have enough polish.
I'll get SMT V eventually, but not straight away. Currently playing Persona, and don't really want to be playing both that and SMT. And possibly Pokemon Brilliant Diamond, but that'll depend heavily on reviews and the general reception to it.
The demo was fun. I'm still unsure about the different playable characters mechanics though. Switching characters does liven up the gameplay, but it also makes it a bit more confusing.
I have a lot of fond memories of playing the PS2 version of Sims Bustin' Out. Didn't know there was a GBA version, but it sounds completely different to the console version.
Potentially some wonderful stuff here. Bayonetta 3 is the one I'm most eager for if that ever releases. Warioware, Pokemons, and Splatoon 3 are strong maybes for me, once there's more info for them then I might get hyped.
It'll probably be great once it releases, but at this point I don't really care. Once they announce a release date and show some trailers, then I'll get excited.
I do have a soft spot for FMV games. Deathtrap Dungeon could be very fun if there's lots of ways to die in it, and your choices matter. Night Book probably isn't my sort of thing though.

Re: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Booster Course Pass Wave 2 Confirmed For Next Week
That's a great selection of tracks, especially Waluigi Pinball. Now it just needs MK7 Rainbow Road, and then it'll all be perfect for me.

Re: Long-Awaited 'Blade Runner: Enhanced Edition' Is Finally Out Digitally Today
I absolutely loved the original movie. Hopefully the game's good, but I'll need to look at some reviews.

Re: Uncover Yurukill: The Calumniation Games' Demo On Switch Today
It's an interesting concept. I'm not sold on the game yet, so the demo will be useful for me.
Re: Rumour: A New Crash Bandicoot Game Might Be Revealed Very Soon
A multiplayer brawler isn't really what I want from a Crash game. Hope it sell though, so that they'll continue to keep the Crash series alive.

This does sound rather interesting. I'm interested in trying this out for myself.
Re: Toby Fox Shares Brief Game Development Update, Says It's "Going Well"
I had a lot of fun with Deltarune chapters 1 and 2, so I'm more than happy to give him my money once he starts charging for the remaining chapters.

Re: Poll: Triangle Strategy Is Out Today On Nintendo Switch, Will You Be Getting It?
I'm skipping it. Strategy games don't usually click with me, and I don't think this one will be any exception.
Re: Hideki Kamiya Would Like You To Play The First Two Bayonetta Games Before Trying The Third

Re: Banjo-Kazooie Is Getting Jiggy With Nintendo Switch Online In January
I'd buy the game if it was sold separately, but the NSO subscription just isn't worth it for me.
Re: Review: Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp - Fanservice Aplenty, But A Total Grindfest
Oof. I was hoping it would still be fun to play whilst ignoring the microtransactions. Shame that it's grindy and repetitive instead.

Heart Gold/Soul Silver, though I also love Platinum and Black 2/White 2.
Edit: And I nearly forgot about Pokemon Colosseum on the Gamecube.

I'll get SMT V eventually, but not straight away. Currently playing Persona, and don't really want to be playing both that and SMT. And possibly Pokemon Brilliant Diamond, but that'll depend heavily on reviews and the general reception to it.
Re: Pokémon Brilliant Diamond And Shining Pearl Trailer Shows Off Bad Guys, Gyms, And DLC
It's nice that Manaphy is being given out using the standard Mystery Gift option instead of the mess with email codes from the last few events.
Re: Poll: As Sora Joins Smash Bros. Ultimate, How Much Of The DLC Roster Do You Own?
I just have the first fighter pass. None of the characters from the second batch were really must-haves for me.
Re: Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp Will Have Gacha-Style Microtransactions
That's lame. I'll wait for a sale before buying this, that is assuming the game is still fun to play when avoiding the microtransactions.
Re: New WarioWare: Get It Together! Trailer Shows More Gameplay Ahead Of Next Month's Launch
The demo was fun, but I'll look at the reviews before getting it.

Re: Monster Hunter Rise To Add Okami-Themed Content In 'Capcom Collab 2'

Nigel Thornberry as a playable character? I'm sold.
Re: The Smurfs - Mission Vileaf Is A Cutesy 3D Platformer Heading to Switch
Could well be decent. 3D platformers are my jam, so I'm hoping this will be good.
Re: It's Official - Sonic The Hedgehog Is Now A VTuber
That still picture looked horrifying, but he looks much more adorable in motion in that short clip.
Re: Nintendo Reassures Us That Bayonetta 3 "Still Exists" Despite E3 No-Show

I do have a soft spot for FMV games. Deathtrap Dungeon could be very fun if there's lots of ways to die in it, and your choices matter. Night Book probably isn't my sort of thing though.
Re: The E3 2021 Awards Winners Are In, But Nintendo Lost Out
I've never been one to agree with these sorts of awards, and it doesn't look like I'm starting now.
Re: Halo Dev Says It Would Be "Amazing" To See Master Chief In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
He is an iconic character that's been in multiple games, so I wouldn't mind him being added to Smash. He's not one I'm personally hoping for though.
Re: Nintendo Wants To Know If You Would Fork Out $50 For A New WarioWare Game
I like WarioWare, but probably wouldn't pay $50 for a collection of micro games.
