I'm not sure why anyone buys Ubisoft titles Day 1. They're always heavily discounted within weeks.

Confirming these release dates just makes me extra curious for what they have for the back half of the year. We know pretty much nothing of Nintendo’s Q3/4 plans.

Not them listing F Zero 99, an online, digital-only title, as an option for which titles we "own".

@WhiteTrashGuy This was my issue with it too. The game world was actually interesting but the combat so was poor, attacks had no weight to them. I felt totally disconnected between the controller and what was happening on screen. It's one of the few games I put down after a few hours as I just couldn't get into it.

@Qwertyninty It's easy to blame the Switch but these are just very lazy ports. Plenty of developers have done much, much better. See Doom, Wolfenstein, etc.

It sounds like it could be a Switch 2 launch title, or cross-gen at minimum.

Switch not getting a game release this year was the gag of the direct. Not Gamefreak actually taking their time to develop something properly.

I was so excited at the start of this trailer when I thought they were bringing the full Rare Replay to Switch. Surely it can't be far off...

Square Enix are in dire need of a new strategy considering their continued focus on NFTs and wildly unrealistic sales expectations. Hopefully this is the start of that change.

@jedgamesguy It’s not too surprising. TOTK had incredible hype prior to its launch considering it was a direct sequel to a game widely lauded as one of the best of all time. It was was always going to be more front loaded.

Nintendo were in a much different position with the launch of BOTW coming off the back of the Wii U with expectations a lot more muted.

Either way it’s good to see Zelda has truly cemented itself as one of Nintendo’s biggest franchises this generation.

Thoroughly undeserved.

At least it’s good to see Arceus sold so well from just one version.

The Sky Islands/opening tutorial were by far my least favourite part of the game but the steps required to skip it are far too convoluted.

Nintendo have never failed to defy industry predictions time and time again. Even if the Switch's successor doesn't sell as well the Switch, it could still be a huge success.

This game is unfortunately never getting fixed, we're 14 months on from release and they still run like a slideshow.

@SwagaliciousJohnson I prefer Zelda myself but there's no denying that this title will generate far more than some HD Zelda ports.

Pikmin 4 being such an evergreen title is a really delightful surprise.

The face of absolute evil. I'd say good riddance but something tells me we haven't seen the last of him in this industry.

They promised fixes over a year ago and it still runs diabolically so I really wouldn't expect much from this update.

I started playing The Teal Mask in preparation for this and forgot how dire the performance. It's actually an unfinished product and it's infuriating the game is still in this stage. Gamefreak really do not care about their product, it's embarrassing for one of the biggest gaming franchises in the world.

@Hinade It's often on sale for less than a tenner, it's well worth picking up if you like 2D platformers (or platformers in general).

Impossible Lair was excellent, the first game... not so much. I feel their next title could go any way. I just wish they'd get a move on and reveal something though.

People complaining about Metroid Prime 4 still being a TBA have clearly forgotten about poor Beyond Good & Evil 2, first announced in 2008.

Great to see it selling so well, I really didn't think there was going to be much of a pulse in the series when it released.

Shocking sales for Sonic, Sega releasing the same as Mario really shot themselves in the foot.

For comparison, does anyone know how much 3D All Stars, Galaxy or 3D World sold in their opening weeks?

I'm surprised it didn't surpass Odyssey or All Stars but I've no doubt it'll be an evergreen seller over the next few months and possibly the best-selling 2D Mario game.

Anyone know how long the game is?

I can't stand EA and their scummy practices but I think we need to wait for the digital sales before making any assumptions about how EA Sports FC performed overall. It's a title that's becomingly increasingly digital over the past few years.

Any idea of how much it costs? Curious if anyone who buys it will make a saving, but knowing Nintendo's pricing policy I doubt it...

I love Pikmin but wouldn’t even consider a free download of anything from Niantic ever again.

The best part about the Yiga clan this time round was the stealth sections being ditched.

Niantic must genuinely be the most incompetent developer I've ever come across. The amount of "make up" events, bugs and errors in Pokemon Go is unprecedented and beyond embarrassing.

When does the review embargo lift? I'm expecting a solid 80 on Metacritic.
