And all of this is without a price cut. I really think we're at least 2 years away from a successor. I expect Nintendo to drop $50ish off the RRP either this Xmas or early Spring before we even get a a sniff of a new console.

@Arawn93 The digital landscape has changed drastically since then, I'd imagine digital sales make up 40-60% of PS5 sales now depending on the title.

@Cashews But Scarlet/Violet are on track to be the biggest Pokemon title of all time since Red/Blue/Green and one of the Switch's biggest selling games of all time? They were half-baked games but trying to make out like their sales somehow unperformed is a weird narrative.

Anyone know how much previous Zelda titles sold in Japan in their first week for comparison? It's an incredible result for a region that typically isn't the strongest for the franchise.

The difference versus Pokemon (which I also bought) is that TOTK is actually a finished game.

I wouldn't ever touch a Niantic product again having seen how they've treated the Pokemon Go community.

I'm very curious how Sparks of Hope sold. I know it was off to a slow start but it seems to have stuck around the charts for a while. Hopefully Ubisoft give an update on it at some stage.

It's genuinely quite bizarre that they'd respond to this but have completely ignored the community feedback on the Remote Raid changes. The disrespect to their player base is unlikely anything I've ever seen before.

I'm playing this at the moment on PS5 and it's a huge disappointment. Dull open world, a really bizarre storytelling style where one narrator narrates everything, and weightless combat that feels like you're making no impact on enemies.

@PessitheMystic They are more a fan of low budget shovelware.

Announcing a partnership with Niantic whilst they're in the midst of a huge community backlash that they've yet to address is... certainly interesting timing.

It's funny how the more of Nintendo's history that becomes apparent the more it feels like every console they developed previously led up to the Switch.

After performance patches they need to focus on fixing the mess that is Tera Raids. They are an absolutely tragic, buggy disaster. It's impossible to tell what's happening half the time. You can be waiting to see an attack option only to have the timer be suddenly be the halfway mark with most of the team's Pokemon knocked out. They are not fun in any way, compounded by the fact you have to partake in them if you want to obtain some of the Pokemon not otherwise available in-game e.g. Cinderace, Walking Wake, etc.

@riChchestM I'm not sure you understand how typings work. Fire isn't strong against flying. Electric, Ice or Rock types will be best here.

@Axecon Where has it been said it's a "limited release"? Demand has definitely outstripped supply but I don't think the physical release is limited. Nintendo are also currently producing more stock.

Based on that trailer we can assume we'll be getting more new characters in the future which is great news.

Paradox Pokemon are super cool but I hate hate hate the naming convention of them. Just say they are a past or present version of the Pokemon they actually are.

Probably DLC for Scarlet and Violet but they really need to prioritise performance patches first.

Actual lol at the below, Gamefreak are so incompetent it's astounding that they can't get a game properly running.

@Pillowpants I doubt it's a disgrace to Gamefreak when they've been putting out subpar entries for several years now.

This method sounds incredibly tedious, I'm sure there's more rewarding ways to play the game.

I'd love to replay Breath of the Wild (again) but given what a huge game it is I'm going to save myself for Tears of the Kingdom so I'm not burnt out on the series.

@Controller-Drift I've played the game to Pokedex completion and had a lot of fun with Violet, but there's no denying it still needs a serious amount of polish. The framerate drops and stutters are embarrassing.

Nintendo and Gamefreak sure are quiet when it comes to patching the game considering their acknowledgement of the issues last month.

@Mana_Knight I recall GCN magazine in the UK used to give away demo discs with certain issues.

€75 for some old ports?! Square Enix poor decision making continues. Surprised they haven't tried to shoehorn in some NFTs.
