They've been surprisingly quiet about the Diamond and Pearl remakes as well. I really thought we'd have seen a bit more footage by now considering we're not that far from release.
Everything is cyclical. I fully expect physical games media to have a small resurgence in future years, similar to how vinyl is performing now. The physical market won't ever be as a big as it once was but I don't think it will totally disappear either.
I'd never heard of this title before today and it looks right up my street. Will definitely nab it when it goes on sale as my backlog is too big at the moment.
I agree that this change is totally unnecessary but the Pokemon Go community is probably the most toxic I've ever come across and will always have something to complain about. If it wasn't this issue it would be another.
@kurtasbestos Japanese gamers definitely get screwed on pricing but my original point was about why Xenoblade is so much more expensive than all other games on the list. It's 8,778 Yen vs. 6,578 or 7,678 Yen for all other first party titles. Just thought it was a peculiar oddity.
@Bentendo1609 Not necessarily. Gaming has come a long-way in 10 years and what may have been a good or innovative game in 2011 doesn't always hold true in 2021.
The colour looks cool but this offers so few features over the standard model I don't see any point in upgrading. It'll be nice for first time Switch buyers.
@Sandro89 These are only Nintendo published and developed titles so wouldn't be included here. I think Pokemon Go probably earns more revenue than all these titles combined!

Re: Zelda: Breath Of The Wild And Splatoon 2 Will Get New Physical Releases With DLC Included In Japan
I'm surprised it's taken so long but that boxart is ugly as. I've seen it reported online that it's just a code for the DLC which is a pity.
Re: Nintendo Direct To Air Tomorrow, 23rd September
Strange to have this so late in the day (BST), wonder if that means it'll be more US/Western-focused titles?
Re: Rumour: It Looks Like Nintendo Will Soon Unveil A New Controller For Switch
Maybe it's just an updated Joy Con but with the drift fixed?
Jk, this will never happen.
Re: This Reimagined GameCube Controller Offers Wireless Play, Pre-Orders Open Now
@Anti-Matter Not everything is about Dance Dance Revolution 🤦♂️
Re: Nintendo Switch Base Model Price Officially Reduced To £259/€269 Across Europe
Ouch at the Sterling price change compared to the Euro difference.
Re: The New Pokémon Movie 'Secrets Of The Jungle' Comes To Netflix Next Month

Re: Random: This SHOCKING Fact About Wurmple Will Change Your LIFE

Re: Pokémon Legends: Arceus Info Is Coming "Soon", Says The Pokémon Company
They've been surprisingly quiet about the Diamond and Pearl remakes as well. I really thought we'd have seen a bit more footage by now considering we're not that far from release.
Re: Darksiders III Is Coming To Switch, And It Launches Next Month
I'm glad Switch owners will get a chance to play this title but it's not a patch on the first two and quite underwhelming.
Re: Random: Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Player Takes The Old Man To Meet... Another Old Man?
All that painstaking effort for no reward and a few YouTube clicks does not seem worth it.
Re: Metal Gear Creator Hideo Kojima Is "Afraid" Of A Future Without Physical Media
Everything is cyclical. I fully expect physical games media to have a small resurgence in future years, similar to how vinyl is performing now. The physical market won't ever be as a big as it once was but I don't think it will totally disappear either.
Re: Mini Review: Ayo The Clown - A Breezy Platformer That Yoshi Fans Will Enjoy

Re: New Pokémon Snap Passes Two Million Sales Outside Of Japan
@RobotReptile It's a niche spin-off so I don't think sales were ever going to be huge. It's probably selling quite well compared to Mystery Dungeon?
Re: Switch Hardware Sales Reach 89 Million Despite Facing A Year-On-Year Slump
Incredibly impressive considering they've yet to give it a price cut. How far were the DS and Wii into their life cycles before a price reduction?
Re: Pokémon GO Reduces PokéStop Spin Distance In America And New Zealand
I agree that this change is totally unnecessary but the Pokemon Go community is probably the most toxic I've ever come across and will always have something to complain about. If it wasn't this issue it would be another.
Re: Video: 9 Exciting New Games Coming to Nintendo Switch In August
Very little of interest lately. I'll stick with Skyward Sword and my back catalogue for the foreseeable.
Re: Capcom Reports Record Q1 Profits, Monster Hunter Rise Continues To Grow
I still find it bizarre they released Monster Hunter Stories 2 so close to Rise, that surely had to have cannibalised a lot of sales.
Re: Pokémon GO August Events Detailed, Including Eevee Community Day
@Ogbert You can easily get the Legendaries as a Go Battle League reward if you don't have people to raid with.

Re: The First Review For The Legend Of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD Is Now In
@Bentendo1609 Not necessarily. Gaming has come a long-way in 10 years and what may have been a good or innovative game in 2011 doesn't always hold true in 2021.
Re: Here Are The Switch eShop's Best-Selling Games Of 2021 So Far (Japan)
@KeltonA But this is the price on the eShop so I'm unsure why the physical price would impact its digital pricing.
Re: Here Are The Switch eShop's Best-Selling Games Of 2021 So Far (Japan)
Any particular reason why Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is so much more expensive than every other title?
Re: New Zelda: Skyward Sword HD Footage Shows Off The Game's Autosave Feature
@dystome I'd imagine that embargo will lift Wed or Thurs at 2 or 3pm BST based on previous timings. Very curious to see how this rates...

Re: Mini Review: DOOM Eternal: The Ancient Gods - Part One - Rip, Tear, Repeat
5-8 hours for part 1 of a DLC package seems a pretty decent amount of gameplay.

@Jey887 Impossible Lair is such a drastic improvement on the underwhelming first game that you're really not missing much.

Re: Pokémon GO Fest 2021 - Details, Dates And Pricing Revealed
@SoManyHaveDied What an original comment.
Re: Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl And Legends: Arceus Get Confirmed Release Dates
I'm surprised they're releasing so close together, it feels like Legends could curtail Diamond/Pearl sales earlier than Nintendo would like.
Let's hope Legends has had a major frame rate improvement when they next show it.
Re: UK Charts: Miitopia Gets Off To A Cracking Start With A Second-Place Debut
Genuinely shocked at that, Mittopia doesn't feel like it has much hype around it.
Re: Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom Is Coming To Switch
I so wanted to like the original but I gave up after about 10 hours as I detested the combat.
Re: Japanese Charts: New Pokémon Snap's Off To A Good Start, But Resident Evil Village Is A Major Threat

Re: UK Charts: Resident Evil Village Spooks New Pokémon Snap Out Of Top Spot
It's worth noting that Mario 3D World's first week boxed sales are still the highest of the year. Resident Evil 8 came in second.
Re: Nintendo Reports Major Increases In Profits, But Anticipates A Drop This Year
The fact they managed those numbers with so few software releases is even more staggering.
Re: A True Pokémon Master Has Defied The Odds And Collected Every Shiny Pokémon
Impressive but Pokemon Go has also made this significantly easier. Shinies are handed out like candy on Community Day in particular.
Re: Ouch! NES Collector Recalls The Time He Threw Out Packaging Worth $4,000 To 'Save Space'
How could a collector be so careless?
Re: Review: New Pokémon Snap - The Best-Looking Pokémon Game Yet, And A Joyous Revival

Re: Random: Boy Has To Choose Between Nintendo Switch And Pizza, Chooses Pizza
The dearth of Nintendo game news honestly feels worse than the Wii U days.
Re: Free Super Mario Party Update To Give Massive Boost To Online Play
I mean the game is 2.5 years old at this stage, classic Nintendo.
Re: Tough Blow As Sonic Lost World Yoshi's Island DLC Is No Longer Wii U Exclusive
