Re: Review: Virtual Boy For Switch 1 & 2 - Is It Really Worth Revisting Nintendo's Greatest Folly?

You've got your VB stand the wrong way round, FYI.

When using the Switch 2 with the VB replica the outer edges of the screen image are blurred. I have to physically move my face up and down to get them into view. It's very annoying. It's fine when playing the actual VB games, but the Switch UI like the game selection screen or control customisation screens you can't see them everything at once. It's weird.

Anybody else finding the the edges of the screen aren’t in view when playing on the Switch 2 using the Virtual Boy replica? I have to adjust my view to see the everything on the main VB menu screen, controls screen etc. The games are fine as they don’t take up the whole screen. The adjustment screen size only affects the VB games themselves, not the Switch user interface.

Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Checking Out Switch Online's Virtual Boy Service?

ROBLOGNICK

I am in to this on Day One! Back in the Noughties, I bought a Virtual Boy off eBay sealed but it didn't work. Was gutted. So I've never been able to play one. So I'm really all in here.

I've got both the cardboard and replica and I will be playing EVERY game. I might even take couple of days off work to celebrate! Lol. It'll feel like having a a whole new system! And I always take days off for those.

Re: Nintendo Is "Acting To Protect The Industry" With Switch 2 Game Key Cards, Says Ex-Capcom Composer

Well I don't buy it.

"Do physical items outside of digital products last forever? Most of the time, they don’t, right? Physical things always have a lifespan and will eventually break. Digital products, on the other hand, generally don’t have a lifespan."

Rubbish, people are still able to play their NES games if they've taken care of them. They're surprisingly hardy. Sure, battery backup might fail, but can be fixed.

Digital items, as the articles says, last only as long as the service is provided unless you have them downloaded to your own storage. And even then you can't guarantee you'll be able to play that game because those consoles often require a connection check you have a licence.

The only good thing about Game Key Cards is that you can sell them on. But that's generally not what I'm interested in doing so as far as I'm concerned I'm never buying one.

Re: Mini Review: The Exit 8 - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition - Unnerving Horror Loop Is Worth The Budget Price

£1 to upgrade to the Switch 2 version? Sure, I'll pay that. Turns out there were five additional anomalies and those anomalies weren't particularly exciting. The graphics do look a LOT better. The movement feels much smoother. But there's still this awful fuzziness around any kind of movement and the posters being so blurry at a short distance is disappointing. It's really enjoyed this game though when I played it on Switch and enjoyed this quick little run-through again. I was hoping we'd maybe get a trailer for the movie or something. It's apparently still looking for distribution outside of Japan but I may need to hunt that down as I'm desperate to watch it. I hope that the new game this developer is making appears on Switch 2. Platform 8 is also really good. Highly recommend that too.
