I've loved all the CG Resident Evil films so I'm looking forward to this. The upload wasn't the best quality. I'm sure it being a series, the budget will have to spread very thin so it may not be the absolute best CG it can be.
I don’t fully agree. Nintendo can do what they want, people can buy the game if they want it during the allotted time of its release. It’s not like we haven’t been warned.
Plus these are re-releases of games that have already been physically and digitally released before.
How did we cope back in the day when no game developer had a digital store front to rerelease old games when they felt like it? We’ve never had it better when it comes to accessing games from all previous generations. I’m guessing this unhappiness stems from us having to pay again to access them.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Nintendo release each game separately on the eShop come April 2021 anyway (without the soundtracks).
I think they really missed a trick making this a Game & Watch that is capable of being loaded with other Game & Watch titles. Sell them on the Switch eShop for £5 each, connect this to your Switch to load them to it.
I've bought this only for the collectability of it. I doubt I'll even use it.
I tried to get into to Oceanhorn one. I did buy it on iTunes because it was like half the price of the Switch port and I do have an Apple TV with one of those Steelseries controllers. It just felt a bit too shallow, I don't know it just didn't click with me. I'm sure I could play it if I didn't have a Switch with a superior Zelda game on the shelf to play instead.
When I saw this game during Apple's announcement of Apple Arcade I thought it was Nintendo's Zelda game that was rumoured they were devoting for mobile for moment. It really did look very Breath of the Wild.
I've loved HORI products for as long as I can remember playing video games to be honest. I've wanted a Split Pad Pro but not in the Daemon X Machina or Pac-Man designs so happy to read about this. Fingers crossed they come to the UK / Europe.
My Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Pro Controller started to drift last month. Which scared the hell out of me because people are trying to change £200 for these things on eBay!
Anyways, giving it a good blow and cleaning out the analogue stick caps, which were admittedly filthy, seemed to do the job for now.
Oh wow, that's the worst video I've seen. I'm not too fussed about frame rate drops - they don't really affect my enjoyment of games much. But I have to say that second video is just awful and I'm going to join in and say a developer should be ashamed of themselves if they thought that was acceptable.
After playing the first game I have this sat on the shelf waiting for me to play it but I'm still only half way through Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition.
You only need to Google it to see that use or the word lame to describe something as bad is a point of contention for those sensitive to the topic of disability. It’s use in high school playgrounds as meaning “bad” is similar to the way use of the term “gay” drifted to that way, only it happened much earlier in time so it didn’t really get the same reaction.
I just think a professional journalist should have an awareness of such things.
On the one hand, you can't buy Wii U consoles as new any more. You'll only buy them second hand now, and if that's the case you can buy a second hand physical copy if you really want to play it, can't you?
On the other hand, what's the harm in keeping it on the Wii U eShop. Sure, you might be getting 0 sales on this right now, but this revival on Switch may actually make those that have stuck with the Wii U buy a game and there's no harm in making a couple of extra sales that go straight into your pocket even if it's an old platform, surely?
Eventually they'll shut down the Wii U eShop anyway won't they? Might as well have as much choice to be able to make as much money as you possibly can until that day. Just seems counter productive.
Honestly Chibi Robo on the GameCube is one my most favourite games ever. It truly is just a delight. I must have played through it three or four times.
I imported Park Patrol and enjoyed that too. It was just different enough while kept the charm of the original.
I never played one after that, also on DS. But it also sounds goods.
Then for some reason they started going in weird directions. The photo finder game was a little quirky but wasn't going to attract large sales and Zip Lash just was just hovering below average, wasn't it?
I love that we got an Amiibo of Chibi though. At least we'll always have that.
I would love a remake of the original though on Switch. With some quality of life improvements.
I was too late with The LEGO.com purchase, but then Nintendo UK sent me an invitation to buy one so I did it through them. I'm probably not even going to open it and pray I can sell it for a little more that I paid for it in ten years or something, lol.
I bet I cave in and open it though.
I wish you could buy the Mario figure separately to the LEGO sets because I don't want to those but I'd love to use it with this for the sound effects.
I bought it when it was on sale a month or so ago and I loved it.
The story was great, I loved that you could just wander off the story and the conversations he would have with you as you drove.
But the driving was AWFUL.
Also, the glitchiness of the NPCs in any other game would be unforgivable but I it made me howl with laughter in this for some reason. It did looks pretty crap, and combat was basic but it I actually really enjoyed it.
I don't remember the first game frame rate being so bad but I do remember it chugging sometimes.
Who wants to be the fix is simply a downgrade on resolution rather than an optimisation? Ugh, I'd be so disappointed. I don't believe for ONE second that the Switch isn't capable of running this game at 1080p docked if they spent some time optimising it properly.
I was really disappointed with the game. It sells itself on this unique puzzle mechanic, and introduces another two but it underuses all of them. The end of the game is just a mess that really hurt my eyes and I was so happy it was over. For a two hour game it excelled at making it feel like such a drag at the end. I was so happy it was over.
Deadly Premonition Origins just got updated to 1.0.4. It was apparently 300MB. Can’t find out why. The icon changed though that can’t be all it was.
The jankiness is part of the game but if something is truly game breaking I’m sure it will be fixed.
I would laugh out loud when people would get into their cars and drive straight through buildings in Origins. I found it funny rather than something that made me hate the game more.
I pre-ordered this last week on a whim after watching the teaser video on Nintendo's YouTube channel. It just looked like my sort of game right now. Can't wait to play it.
I got to a point in the demo where nothing seemed to happen and I couldn't figure out what to press. Not sure if it crashed but I just lost interest after that. I found the presentation peculiar and not particularly inviting.
@CupidStunt Malpractice. Scream! Have you been watching American courtroom dramas or something?
At worst it’s just bad organisation. And a life lesson for the backers (and Platinum) on how the financial / commerce world works.
It should be part of the standard template for physical rewards on Kickstarter, frankly. I’m more surprised at them than some Japanese company that’s never had to deal with publishing anything themselves before.
@CupidStunt Me? A fanboy? I couldn’t give to sh*ts about this game. I did not buy it, and don’t intend to. What I am raging about is people like you that don’t understand how life works and then blame companies that have nothing to do with it.
The sheer entitlement. The lack of knowledge. Far too much!
Who already paid for postage? Import duty is NOT postage. You know what VAT is, yes? When you import goods into the UK you bypass VAT and so the GOVERNMENT charge you this for importing something into the UK. The courier company have to declare this and administrate the charges. It is the law.
@CupidStunt My comment has no logic? We would pay custom charges on all games if we purchased them from outside UK or EEA. If you’re in the UK you don’t pay custom charges on games you buy from retailers in the UK because they’ve already been imported and are already in the UK. Are you being stupid on purpose?
I don’t get why the need a clause in the backer T&Cs anyway. It’s nothing to do with them. If you’re buying stuff some outside the country in which you’d normally pay a tax for the item then customs will charge you. It’s basic knowledge for your average citizen.
Kickstarter should not have to spell out the rules of living in your own country.
Like I said before though, they could arrange to pay the custom fees or charge you the custom fees in advance. But that’s more work for them. Not every retailer does this either so I can only assume it’s not the easiest of things to manage.
I’m confused why UK people expect not to pay import duties when ordering from countries outside the EU?
Also this article suggests it’s only because they shipped from the US. Would import duties not also be due if they shipped from Japan or China? I’m pretty sure you do.
I know a lot of companies let you pay for this in advance, so you can avoid the annoying additional admin fee that Royal Mail often charge you. This should me something Kickstarter offers.
I'm pretty sure I had Pac-Land on the Atari Lynx. Far superior version of a very average game. I'm disappointed that these are all NES version to be honest.
Were we watching the same presentation? I thought it looked pretty basic.
The water as Wailord was surfacing was awful. The apple that had only two states of being eaten. The rest of world looked nice but it was all fairly static. I'm sure it will improve. The "not actual gameplay footage" disclaimer made it obvious they're probably very early on in development.
What I'm really starting to get fed up with is how every Pokemon of the same species looks absolutely identical. Not every tabby cat looks the same.
Nah, Sony be paying them hush money that's NDA'd to hell and back. Otherwise why do we not have any Persona games on Switch yet? 3 or 4 or ripe for conversion.

Bowling motion controls are terrible. We need this to mimic Wii Sports bowling as best it can, it does not recapture that magic.
Also, I hate in games like Yacht that you can shake the dice with a shake, but you still have to tap A twice to throw.
