Had a ton of fun with this game in couch coop mode. I guess it's time to get the DLCs and updates, order some pizza, get a couple of cold brews and have a fun night with the boys!

Those are some nice discounts. I believe Europe has them too. I'm currently on holiday in France, so it will have to wait until I'm back. Hopefully the discounts will still be there by then. Mega Man Battle Network has been on my wishlist forever.

I remember getting this game and being severely disappointed with it. It felt so much like a tech demo for DS. But the game itself had so little content. 😕

@FX29 Three Houses was developed by both Intelligent Systems and a team from Koei Tecmo, it was a collaboration, because Intelligent Systems was having trouble bringing Fire Emblem to the big screen.

This was my most wanted announcement. We already knew about Metroid Prime 4 et al, but this made my day! I'm a huge FE fan and this game looks great! And from what we glimpsed, I think it's safe to say this one is connected to Three Houses, very exiting!

This was a huge surprise, but seriously... why can't we play them in 2D? Is 3D an absolute must? I hope this version doesn't come with the extra headache!

As a massive Yoshi fan, this was one of the best surprises of this Direct! I love the art direction and it looks like it could be a blast!

Wonder how this will turn out. I wasn't sold on the bike idea, but I have good faith in the studio that it will absolutely be awesome!

These are the first Amiibo that can be swapped. Pretty nifty!

Pretty cool. Too bad I have yet to get the main game, but I will soon, I think.

Great! Now I can finally play those games! Really looking forward to them and hopefully more ports of the other remakes!

@Jujuman Not saying they shouldn't and I agree that blatant rip-offs should be addressed.

Regarding copying... I think a lot of games and other arts copy off of each other, it's the twist that the creators put on it that makes it either good, or a blatant rip-off.

In a world where we want to believe that Nintendo is good, they probably did this to protect themselves, but we all know how protective they are of their IPs and ideas. I just think it's so weird that you can patent game mechanics in this manner.

Interesting, but I'm hoping to see a game linked to the movie. I don't like Mario for his movies, exactly...

Just installed it so I could choose the new Kirby theme. It looks good!

@DonnieTACO There's plenty of games to choose from and not enough time to play them all. And there's rewarding good behaviour and punishing bad behaviour. We all choose our battles.

@mercilessrobot True, but if you look at Monster Hunter, for instance, you can usually just download the event quests and play them at a later date. I hope it's a bit like that, but I'm not familiar with how events work in this series.

Great to see the patches coming for this. I've yet to buy the game, but I most definitely will at some point, because it comes on the cart, as it should always be the case!

Timed events? I'm not a fan of those... Unless they are readily available at later dates, too.

I'm convinced, thanks in part to this article now, that a Nintendo Direct will come somewhere between now and next year! Call me crazy.

@Exerion76 I agree with you. There were so many bad and mediocre games on old platforms! Shovelware is not something new, but it has become more numerous. But thanks to the internet it's become much easier to separate the wheat from the chaff.

While I compliment them for trying, Bubsy was always very mediocre at best. I don't even know anyone who's even remotely positive about Bubsy. An old school friend of mine had one of the games on his SNES and I absolutely hated it. I guess only collectors would be remotely interested in getting this for nostalgic reasons. But otherwise, I can't imagine this collection selling well, at all.

Didn't Hollow Knight have difficulty options? Strange they didn't include them here.

This sounds like a job for a controller with rubber bands attached to it, so you don't have to press the buttons yourself, and a timer so you know when to come back to the game! Otherwise, why bother? 😅

Well, seems like a pretty fair outcome to me. To be honest, they did screw up big time by revealing their product line ahead of the official Switch 2 reveal. So it's pretty much their own fault. I guess it could have turned out much, much worse for them.

@PeterTomlan86 Huh, I thought they were out of business, but I guess I was mistaking them for Alpha Dream, my apologies. Anyway, I hope they get to make another entry into this series, or a remaster.

WHAT?! Well, this won't make me download the demo, either. I wasn't planning on getting the game anyway, since it's a Ubisoft game. OR I might get it 2nd hand, so they won't get any profit from it. Either way, save data not carrying over to the full game is a baffling decision.

I think I'll get this somewhere down the line, unless Capcom brings all the RE games that are cloud versions now to Switch 2 as regular versions.

It's still a shame Camelot doesn't exist any more. I really hope Nintendo will give us another entry in this series. I loved it and the Golden Sun series is easily top 10 GBA material for me.

I guess this one goes on the "maybe" pile for me, after reading the review. I'm a big fan of Metroidvanias, but there's more interesting games that I'd rather try in this satiated genre.

I want Smash Bros Melee, because nostalgia. But there's still plenty left for N64, GBA and some others. Although my fondest wish is that they would just localise some more Japan only games. One can dream, right?

Sad... One of my BFFs loves this series, but he also has a PS5, so I guess we'll play it on there at some point. But the amount of games with performance issues is troubling... Especially on Switch 2!

Well, a bigger player base means potentially more sales, so they would be stupid not to do it. I am hoping for it, but I won't hold my breath.

They can bring all the other RE games to Switch 2, though. The ones that are cloud versions now. And I would gobble them all up. 🤷‍♂️

Pro tip: Don't release it on game key card, or worse, code in box, if you want better sales, Square Enix!

Okay, since I only have a Switch 2, I'll wait for the optimization patches before getting this. What a total bummer! I was really looking forward to this one.

@PJOReilly Thanks! I think this game is a safe bet for me, then. But maybe I'll wait a bit until there have been a few patches before diving in. My backlog allows this easily

I recently bought the first Daemon X Machina for Switch 1, in anticpation of this one. I have yet to play it, but I know these kinds of games are right up my alley. It's sad to see this game getting only a 6 here, but on the other hand, I have enjoyed so many games that got mediocre reviews at best. I think I'll have a good time with this one, too.

Hopefully the performance issues will be addressed with patches in the future, for a more smooth experience. Would you have rated it higher then?

@OFFICIALMichi from what I can find on the web, Shadows of Valentia remake sold about 1 million copies, which is the least from all 3DS FE games. That game was released around the end of the 3DS lifecycle, however, so I guess that didn't help much, either. But it was my 2nd favourite game on 3DS and a hell of a remake.

Another day, another day where EA is not telling the truth? I'm appalled, shocked and aghast at the same time!
