What an opening for Dragon Quest! I still have to get the games myself. Wasn't there a trilogy bundle available. Or something?

Oh and this comes after the news that the people at EA absolutely hated their AI companions? These are some interesting times. To be fair, AI seems to be getting worse over time and way more neurotic. It's almost as if it's mimicking human behaviour...

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is such a massive game to overcome, so this is a bit of a safe statement. Still, I do hope Nintendo will be very succesful with a new IP. Splatoon is a pretty good example of a fairly young one that grew quite fast.

@Willo567 No, I don't have proof. But come on, man, things like this didn't happen say 10 years ago. And announcing DLC day 1 and then also making it look like it could have been part of the main game? That doesn't ring right with me.

Rushing things out before X-mas, eh? So... After watching the trailer, we're going from a pretty lifeless city to a really lifeless city? I can't say I'm excited about it much... This looks like post-game content that used to be in the actual games...

Haven't got the game myself yet, but I will soon and I can't wait for the soundtrack. The "Warriors" games usually have some pretty amped up guitar versions of tracks I love!

I'm expecting mine any moment today. I treated myself to Metroid Prime 4 Nintendo Switch 2 edition with all the extras and all Amiibos. Very excited to play this game!

I'm currently almost halfway through Tears of the Kingdom, doing a 100% completion with the Zelda Notes app. It's absolutely a ton of fun and I agree, it's such a sandbox variety of game, you can't put that in a book, or a movie. It's whatever you want it to be, in many ways. It's your adventure!

New Zealand, not surprising! I'm really looking forward to this movie, but I'm still surprised they went for live action, instead of animated. I prefer the latter, but I guess I'm just highly sceptical on everything that tries to go from animated to live action.

Depending on the actual content of this DLC, I might swing around and get this game.

Definitely going to get this as I have a friend who is a big fan of Marvel and we both love beat 'em ups!

I can't wait to dig in myself! This is one of the higher ups on my wishlist, bar Metroid Prime 4, which I'm most excited for. I'm so glad to read that this game is everything you hoped for and it sounds like it is the same for me! And finally a game that allows the Switch 2 to shine, instead of just being a visual upgrade machine for older games.

I'm also glad this game doesn't have those idiotic Titan missions. I loathed them in Age of Calamity.

@Nintendoh Okay, buddy. But Kirby Air Riders DOES have a story mode, so what's your point exactly? Race games can have story modes. 🤷‍♂️

Would it be too much to ask for a simple list as well? 😇 That way I don't have to copy/paste every title seperately and add them to Excel so I can check which I have and which not. (Yes, I'm a huge data nerd and no, I'm not sorry)

I agree with the general konsensus on this game's kurrent state. The "new" strategy is to just launch an incomplete product, so they can cash in and then fix things as they go. This is my main reason for rarely buying games Day 1 currently. Unless companies are proven to launch a quality product (looking at Kirby Air Riders) I'm willing to buy them at launch and at full price (unless a lucky discount is available, of course. I'm Dutch after all.). But these practices are usually a sign that the company is either in a bad shape and need money, or that they are doing it for the shareholders. Neither of those are a positive sign.

Superstars is still on my wishlist. When it comes down to it, I'm more of a 2D Sonic player, even though I loved Adventure 2 on GameCube!

The exclusion of Welcome Tour and Drag x Drive are clear signs that people just didn't like them enough, I think. I didn't get either, because I thought the Welcome Tour should have been included and Drag X Drive felt like it was more of a tech demo for mouse mode than anything else. So I guess I contributed to them not being mentioned here in a small way.

Of all listed games, the only one I don't own is New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe. I didn't feel the need to get it, since I already owned the Wii U version and the Luigi DLC.

I'm fairly sure they will sell those last 10k units to make it their most succesful console to date. There's still plenty of people getting the OG Switch(es).

Personally, I'm very curious to see where Switch 2 will end up, eventually. It's been a massive success so far, but I seriously wonder if they can keep the momentum going.

@Twilite9 Well, Sakurai-san just finished working on Kirby Air Riders, so perhaps he can start working on a new Smash Bros now. Although I would hate to see him get burnt out again from working on such a massive project.

And @Olliemar28 is right, it'll be the 40th anniversary for Zelda, so I can't imagine they'll just let that go by without any sort of celebration. A new game would be awesome, but I expect a port of Twilight Princess, or at least the addition of that game to the NSO GameCube line-up.

I don't get that people are complaining that Switch 2 "has no games". I think 2025 has a pretty solid line-up. Much better than Switch had anyways.

Great to see the Switch 2 perform so well! Now that there's some more exclusives on the way this month, I am so glad I am an early adopter.

Having said all that, the attach rate of Mario Kart World is pretty astounding. I have to admit that I'm not as impressed by it as I had hoped. Free roam still SUCKS. I just wish they'd made some sort of story mode out of it. I wonder if they'll be doing anything with MKW in terms of DLC or free content updates.

They really should do these "of the year" things in January, when the year is properly finished. Metroid Prime 4, Kirby Air Riders and Hyrule Warriors are still to be released. A lot of late releases will be left outside of this award. And that's why I don't care about any of these awards in the first place. Especially since most of them are pretty much just a circle jerk.

I said to myself that I'd wait to get a Switch 2 Pro Controller until there was a unique design one. I'm a big fan of Resident Evil, so this controller announcement was cool, but the design isn't really that special, now that I've taken some more time. I might get it, but I'm not entirely certain, especially given that it's 10 euros more expensive than the regular one.

Well deserved, but kind of odd that Miyamoto-san from Nintendo wasn't the first to receive such a distinction. I wonder why?

Wow, people are really getting upset by just a single promo video for a collab with Baby Metal? I'm sure there's more to come for the celebration. Why are people so damn stingy these days? Can't please anyone, it seems.

@Erigen To be fair, EA games are so laden with monetisation, I'm sure they're only made for shareholders primarily and players second. Appalling business ethics.

Losing the FIFA license doesn't seem to affect sales for the annual football game EA puts out, does it?

I'm also surprised Mario Galaxy 1+2 is still in the top 10. I've been having a ton of fun replaying Galaxy 1 so far. Getting all 121 is quite a challenge. But I'm on 83/121 now so just keep on trucking, I guess, haha.

I'm getting the upgrade pack for €5. Looking forward to replaying the game and exploring the new content!

I have a long weekend, but my wife and I have LEGO date weekend. She is building the Hocus Pocus house and I finished building the Mario and Yoshi set, which is awesome! I plan on displaying it right next to my Switch 2 in my study.

But I'm also going to play some games! Here's what I'm currently playing:

• Tears of the Kingdom 41% completion
• Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster step 7/17 of my walk through
• The Binding of Isaac Repentance: working on getting all the Lost marks. Got the Beast in a very lucky run. Got 13/17 marks so far
• Pikmin 1 17/30 parts

I might get this at some point. The fact that it's not a game key card also really helps! Too bad about the online multiplayer, but I won't be making use of that anyway... So I guess I can add one point to the score myself.

It's already included in the NSO+EP sub, so I'm good. I'm not going to double dip, either. I will get the upgrade for €5 and that's that.

If only they added PDFs of the original magazines too, now that would be awesome! I love this cover, it's so weird in so many ways. Especially Mario with a blue hat and the look of a murderous maniac. They would never allow that these days.

This is good news, patenting stuff like this should be prohibited. I love Nintendo for a lot of things, but this isn't one of them.

I'm having a LEGO date with my wife this weekend and I'm building the Mario & Yoshi set. She's going to start working on the Hocus Pocus house and I'll probably help her when I'm finished with my set, which is the smaller of the two.

But adding LEGO to Animal Crossing is pretty cool! I can't wait for these collabs!

@TryToBeHopeful Yeah, that's how we do it, too! But even if I was alone, I'd still think it's a really good deal, if you look at the price point per month, which is somewhere around €5,00. It's cheaper than any other online gaming sub. So I really don't get the hate. Especially with all the extras that are now part of the subscription.

They should put the new Monster Hunter on Switch 2 again, just so it can have a larger install base. And hopefully they'll come back to design flaws of Wilds. I never played it, but I follow the subreddit for Monster Hunter and I see so many complaints about the game. It's a big shame. I loved Rise and Sunbreak (which I'm still playing). But I wasn't so sure about Wilds.

Cool! I might just revisit this classic! I remember getting it as the launch title for GameCube back when it released here in Europe. I think it wasn't what people were hoping for, but man did I have a blast with this game. Especially the mirror mode, which was quite a challenge to complete, as I recall.
