Sounds good! I can't wait for the actual reviews for this game. I think I'll try and get my hands on it eventually and probably 2nd hand so I can get a good price. I have to say I'm more excited about the game now that I see so many good previews!
@BloodWolfe Your reasoning baffles me. You refuse to buy Game Key Cards, yet you will happily use Steam? Why is it that so many people are massively against GKC, but use platforms like Steam, who are digital only? It makes zero sense to me.
NSO with Pokémon Home support would be the best option. Personally, I voted for Pokémon Emerald, seeing as it's one of my favourite releases. I LOVE the GBA outings of Pokémon and have the fondest memories of those games. The sprites were just so damn good!
"15 seconds to load after you die." People have forgotten older games, like Fallout? Those loading times were enough to brew a pot of coffee, haha. But it is long by today's standards.
I am a bit on the fence on this one. I might get it to play coop with a friend at some point, but I can wait. Glad to see it's such a great experience, though!
Thanks for the review PJ! I am really bummed out that Adventure Mode is short... I was hoping for something more this time around. I might get this at some point, but for now it seems I am better off waiting and getting some other games first.
@PinderSchloss Why would they limit themselves to generations 1-3? Are you looking at Pokémon with your nostalgia glasses on? I mean, sure those older games were great, but with 1.000+ Pokémon, it would be better if they made a game where you could actually catch ALL exisiting ones. A reboot is not necessary, a big budget game to redeem the bad reputation is what's really needed.
They better be celebrating the 30 year anniversary by releasing the mainline classics on NSO with Pokémon Home compatibility. I'm tired of those games missing on Switch (2).
Only thing I didn't really like about this game was the final boss battle, otherwise this game was great! Am listening to the OST right now on my commute. 7+ hours is long!
@BrazillianCara Well, I based that comment purely on my own experience with The Pokémon Company. And while I enjoy Pokémon Legends Z-A, I can't help but feel it could have been 10x better when I play Final Fantay VII Remake Intergrade and see what Switch 2 is capable of. But hey, that's me.
My advice would be not to read comments if you are not in the right headspace for it. I know there's a lot of pessimism out there and I am certainly critical about the video game industry. And I think it's good to stay skeptical, especially when one is proven time and again that many companies put profits first and not consumers first.
I am glad that Blasphemous was the one holding my attention a couple of years ago, so I can now fully enjoy my time with Hollow Knight on Switch 2! I only ever played four hours, so I'm fairly sure that the game will feel new enough for me, when I play it Soon™
@betterman as I said, I had expected the loss of the FIFA license to have some effect, but I am not seeing it. So, I guess you're right that there's no competition in the field. Just like Pokémon keeps having success regardless of the overall quality of the games.
@WheresWaveRace , I dislike EA for a lot of reasons. I don't mind football games at all, don't play them myself, but I am astonished by the continued success of the games.
@larryisaman , apparently it has very little influence, indeed!
@Duncanballs , Quite smart to switch, but you'll still have to wait for the final part of FF7 eventually I am in the same boat, too little time and too much great games, haha. 1st world problems And good ones!
I'm still baffled by how good EA Sports FC is performing. I had high hopes that the loss of the FIFA contract would spell doom for this franchise. I suppose I was mistaken and it's still as popular as ever.
DQ VII is high on my list of games to get next, after playing the demo, but it will have to wait until after I finish FFVII Remake Intergrade.
Jigglypuff is my favourite too, mostly on account of how awesome Jigglypuff is in Smash Bros. The Snore/Snooze move always manages to surprise other players! But whenever Jigglypuff is present in any game, it is sure to get a place in my team. Although it has to be said that I also love Scream Tail, which should come as no surprise.
I am really hoping for a more linear experience again. Back to basics, dungeons with upgrades and puzzles that require said upgrades/tools. I loved the Age of the Wild. It was a great time, but I feel that we need to go back to what Zelda really was at its core.
Also, I'd love for A Link to the Past to be remade, or a port of A Link Between Worlds. Or a reimagining of the very first Zelda game, seeing as this year marks the 40 year anniversary!
9/10 for me. Some really good announcements and a lot of great games coming to Switch 2. Everyone who claims there are no games on Switch 2 is definitely not very informed and/or heavily biased.
I love Orbitals, but there were some other really exciting games like Elliot, FF7-2 and Pragmata that I voted for too. Now to find the time...
Capcom is really cooking this year! I love how this is another, fresh IP. It's something I have been longing for. I'm a bit done with remakes/remaster/Switch 2 Editions.
I already finished this game on PS4 with Platinum Trophy and am not going to triple dip (I own this game on PC, too). I don't have much faith in Bethesda after they botched the Switch 2 version of Skyrim.
Just started the first part. Definitely going to get the second. Already loving it. I am playing with Japanese voice-overs and absolutely love revisiting this wondrous world from the first Final Fantasy game I ever played.
Resident Evil has already been pre-ordered. The bundle with three games and the pro controller. I can't wait to dive in, although I am considering where to start. Requiem is the one I most look forward to, seeing as it's new.
Besides that I voted for Dragon Quest VII and Mario Tennis. Both of which are going to be added to my collection at some point whenever I can get a decent bargain. Not to mention, find the time to play them.
@Bolt_Strike Oooh, yes, a Sylux side-quest would be lovely, great idea! But I fear it's a bit of a pipe dream... Let's just hope they will give us more MP in the future! Although I have to admit that I love 2D Metroid a bit more.
Would love to get the upgrade for this game. I tried it once, played about 4 hours and then Blasphemous (which I started at the same time) managed to hold my attention. I would love to revisit this game, but a Switch 2 upgrade is more than welcome!
@PtM Yeah, I suppose you are right. But they are a bit too frequent for my taste. I hope the 2nd year of Switch 2 will see this practice reduced drastically.
@FaroreAbhorsen I sincerely hope Nintendo will not go down that road. All the doom & gloom stories surrounding this series have so far proven to be false. Let's hope it stays that way. I think people forget that Nintendo's coffers are so full they can easily withstand some hardships here and there.
My biggest concern right now is the flooding of Nintendo Switch 2 versions with titles as long as the proverbial bible. What we really need is new games.
@sportymariosonicmixx Your scope is way too small. The geopolitical situation with tariffs in the US, the memory shortage, a lot of things outside of Nintendo's direct control are also putting pressure on things.
Yes, they do need new big hitters, but I can't imagine they aren't working on them.
Besides all that, I don't agree with you that Switch 2 is not a new hybrid console. If you're going down that road PS5 is just a PS4 Pro+

Re: Round Up: The Previews Are In For Pokémon Pokopia
Well, I'm just about done with Legends Z-A, so it looks like this will scratch a Pokémon and cozy game itch I might have...
Re: The Hundred Line Creator Wants To Keep The Game Going For "Around Ten Years"
Sounds cool! I am eagerly awaiting a Switch 2 version of the game.
Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting Mario Tennis Fever For Switch 2?
Only if I can get a hefty discount. I'll be patient. I am in no hurry with the size of my backlog taken into account.
Re: Review: Mario Tennis Fever (Switch 2) - Slim For Singles, But An Addictive Core Gives It Online Legs
Thanks for the review PJ! I am really bummed out that Adventure Mode is short... I was hoping for something more this time around. I might get this at some point, but for now it seems I am better off waiting and getting some other games first.
Re: Pokémon Pokopia Demo Event Is Heading To London This Week
@The21zonz I'd rather see a downloadable demo, too... If that's what you're suggesting.
Re: Pokémon Pokopia Demo Event Is Heading To London This Week
I am eagerly awaiting reviews for this one. Massively on the fence. I hope it'll be good, because the premise is fun and the game looks kinda nice.
Re: Video: Monster Hunter Stories 3 Trial Demo Side-By-Side Graphics Comparison (Switch 2, Xbox Series S, PS5)
@Duncanballs I've got a bit longer to go, but no kids, so a bit more time to spend on games, I reckon, haha.

@Duncanballs you and me both! Haha, there's just too many great JRPGs lately. Early retirement would be great
Re: Video: Monster Hunter Stories 3 Trial Demo Side-By-Side Graphics Comparison (Switch 2, Xbox Series S, PS5)
I played quite a bit of Stories 2 and performance was a bit bumpy on the OG Switch. I'll survive if it's not consistent.
Re: If You Like Paper Mario's Newest Entry, This Nintendo Music Update Is For You
@Polley001 Oh, I thought I had checked the All Songs list! Wow, this soundtrack is massive!
Re: Capcom's New IP Is Off To A Promising Start As Demo Hits One Million "Combined Downloads"
I am definitely getting the game, but not day one. My backlog won't allow it. 😅

@BrazillianCara What is pessimistic about my reaction? I said I am curious about the article?

Re: TIME Magazine Reveals Special Edition Pokémon 30th Anniversary Covers
@gcunit As my father would say: "Can you count? Don't count on it."
Re: TIME Magazine Reveals Special Edition Pokémon 30th Anniversary Covers
@Erigen That was my first thought, exactly!
The covers are pretty cool! I don't read Time magazine myself, but am pretty interested in the article.

Might try the demo, but my backlog is starting to grow recently and I don't really want to "waste" time playing demos all that much.
Re: Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 Updated To Version 1.3.1, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
What a nothingburger of an update. I recentely 100% Super Mario Galaxy. I hope they added more stability for SMG2, but apparently not.

Final Fantasy VII: SD Full Edition
😅 Oh dear, oh dear, I guess I better invest some money in storage space.
Re: Super Bomberman Collection Gets A Surprise Shadow Drop On Switch 2
Excellent! This game was like the predecessor to Mario Party in terms of ending friendships. I hope to end many more with this collection! 😈

"You might cry, a lot." Okay, you convinced me Alana. I'll put this on my wishlist!
Re: Video: 14 Exciting Games Coming To Switch And Switch 2 In February 2026
@IronMan30 And yet people say there are "no games" for Switch 2. Truly baffling.

Really looking forward to this one. I hope it will release sometime soon. The demo was enough to convince me to buy it.
Re: Metroid Prime 4's "Combined Sales" Have Surpassed One Million, Nintendo Confirms
@FaroreAbhorsen I don't see how you could add DLC to this one, to be honest. They just need to make sure MP5 doesn't take 18 years to release.
Re: Metroid Prime 4's "Combined Sales" Have Surpassed One Million, Nintendo Confirms
We can all rest easy, then! Phew!
