After my initial adventures in No Man's Sky years ago, when it first launched, I haven't touched the game any more. I have to say the additions are lovely, but I won't be playing any more. Wishing everyone fun with this new addition though, it looks good!
I've seen people do this for breeding and egg hatching too. It's boring, so why not automate it? On the other hand, it's definitely not what I would do. But kudos if this is working for him!
Awesome! That one is such a classic. Remember playing it a lot back in the day and really enjoying the mirror mode once you finished the game. Can't wait to replay it and maybe buy Luigi's Mansion 2, so I can have the trilogy on Switch 2, as stated in the trailer.
Thanks for the review! I finally came around to playing Persona 5 Royal this year and it was the longest JRPG I ever played, just to get the entire story completed.
Knowing Atlus, I think there's a pretty big chance for a Persona 3 Reload <insert giddy name here> version with all the DLC and whatnot to make it more complete. I think I'll wait for that and play Shin Megami Tensei V : Vengeance first.
Can't wait, because I am yet to begin properly with my Dragon Quest adventures. I'll be playing the remakes of the original trilogy first. But the art direction for this remake is simply delightful and I love dark stories, although I wonder how dark it will be compared to, say, Fire Emblem and Xenoblade Chronicles.
Yeah, I won't get my hopes up. I still think the most jarring omission from NSO are the mainline Pokémon games and I'm pretty sure we can just forget about them. Virtual Console won't get the revival some people might be yearning for.
I'm perfectly happy with NSO and emulation, if I get an itch to replay Pokémon games. Especially with the addition of Retro Achievements they can be a lot of fun to replay!
As a kid I never had Metroid II, which is a big shame, because I wouldn't have shut up about it to my friends, back then. It's such a good game and I finished it last year, mastered it even on Retro Achievements, which was pretty cool! It's so much better than Metroid 1. The only jarring omission is a map, but regardless, the game isn't that big of a maze and the seperate areas don't force you into huge backtracking trips, either.
Love that they added the OST. But I'm still impatiently waiting the Xenoblade series OSTs!
If there's anything I've learned over the years it's that it's best to wait to get Atlus games late, because they'll release a new version of the game with new content and all DLC. I recently finished Persona 5 Royal and I thought it dragged on a bit too long, for my taste. I don't think I ever played a game that lasted 140 hours for me to finish the story.
I still have Shin Megami Tensei V Vengeance in my backlog too, so I'm good for the time being. But I am looking forward to playing Persona 3 at some point!
Yeah, both of them are on my wishlist, so I'm sure to add to their sales numbers. But first I have to finish a couple more games from the good ol' backlog!
@AverageGamer Yeah, I agree with you. I was just choosing my words carefully. Personally, I am feeling like I would have fun with the game, but at the same time I'm a bit torn because I don't want to reward TPC for putting out games that are subpar when it comes to graphics and performance.
I wonder what people who are trashing the game get out of it, besides engagement on their channels and thus money. I think it's a very unhealthy way of living if that's what gets you off. But hey, to each their own, I guess. I just can't imagine that it's a very fulfilling lifestyle.
Weird, I'm still able to take screenshots from Nintendo Today on my Samsung phone?
I've been using the app daily and the addition of "Released today" is a lovely one. My biggest issue with the app is that some images won't rotate when you rotate the phone, which means landscape images are really small and zooming in is a bit pointless.
What they should really add is the ability to download images as wallpapers. But given how protective they are of their IPs, I don't think we'll ever see a feature like that added to the app.
With all the updates, I think it's about time I look into getting one of these myself. The only drawback for me personally is that I can't use it as intended, because my wife would kill me if she was wakened by Nintendo sounds and music. Still, I think it would be an awesome clock in itself on my work desk in my study/mancave.
@RupeeClock Yeah, agreed, it doesn't really do much and it's not essential to get these "trophies", but it just stings somewhere that these things are tied to timed events. It's something I've grown to hate.
So, does that mean you can't get these outside of the event and will it return? Or is this just another way for Nintendo to create FOMO? God, I hate these practices these days to create some sort of urgency to get stuff. Back in my day you could just unlock new game modes, characters and stuff... (Yes, I am slowly turning into Cranky Kong).
Wow, I did not expect that split for PL:ZA to be slightly in favour of Switch 2! I have to be honest that I am intrigued by the game, simply because I hear people say that the combat is phenomenal. But I'm still going to hold off, because I'd rather wait for a complete edition with all the DLC for a change. And because I just don't want to buy Pokémon games Day 1(-ish) any more.
It's great to see the Mario Galaxy pack doing well, too. I've been having so much fun replaying Galaxy 1! And I can't wait to dive into Galaxy 2 after that.
Ever since I discovered the website Retroachievements.org I've been really into replaying old classics with achievements. I have a RetroFlag Game Boy style handheld for emulation and play mostly on that, but also love to emulate games on my PC with the SNES controller for the Switch, since it's a bluetooth device. It's really been a game changer.
But sometimes I do boot up the app on my Switch too. I just feel that replaying games with achievements made by a great online community feels like they give the games a new lease on life. Especially because some achievements force you to play the game in ways you probably never even tried!
I'll wait for Nintendo to give us a NES-styled pro-controller. I still own a NES style GBA SP. The keyboard is way too steeply prized for me to get it.
I am curious to see the sale number split for this. I'm afraid many people will get the Switch 1 version, because they don't have a Switch 2 yet. If I get this game it will be the S2 edition. This is just another sign that The Pokémon Company doesn't care about optimisation and just want to earn cash fast.
It was a great move for Nintendo to combine their handheld and console into one machine to focus on. I also feel that the controversy of which people speak is mostly just a really small group of loud fans. Apparently the rest of the world doesn't care so much about the quality of the screen and the game key cards. It would be nice to see some numbers for the latter, though, so we can get a general sense of whether or not sales are really as bad with all the people not buying them.
I had my fun with PvZ when Popcap wasn't owned by EA. Those were the days. I won't be getting this one, since I'm boycotting EA. Too bad, it looks like it could be fun, but I'm almost certain EA wil find some way to screw the fans over with this.
Great fun! And so cool to see Jon pop up out of nowhere! Fun fact: This feature would have been impossible during the Corona epidemic, as the stores were historically low on toilet paper rolls.
@GgGames The lack of voice acting is a bit jarring, I agree. I mean we're talking about a billion dollar company. Sadly one who wants to get away with bare minimum quality games and profit maximization.
@wizzgamer To be fair, this game doesn't seem to me like anything much over a 7/10, given its scope and size. I'm sure hardcore fans will rate it higher, but I'm glad they gave it an honest review.
@Sylamp too bad, but perhaps not as big an issue as it should be. I have friends who are likely to like this game too! So they might get it too, if it's good!
Looking forward to this game and also planning to rewatch T1 & T2 at some point when the game releases! I wonder how many of these branching points there are in the final game!
