Final Fantasy VII: Re-d XIII

It's interesting to see Animal Crossing performing so well. Personally, I bought the upgrade pack for Switch 2, booted the game up once and quickly lost interest... That is mostly because I have such an extensive backlog and Animal Crossing can be a big time sink, if you let it... Still, it hasn't managed to grab my attention that much, perhaps because I'm not that much into home designing myself.

@OldGamer999 Agreed, but sadly Nintendo does not share their digital sales numbers easily... Or just rough estimates. It would be great to know what the ratio is, especially since we're pushed towards more digital these days.

@Anti-Matter Yes, Yoshi can talk. Have you ever played Super Mario World? He tells Mario about being trapped in his egg by Bowser there, among many other pieces of dialog in various games.

But it could be a Pokémon-like deal where he speaks his name, mostly.

So glad Yoshi is going to play a big role! Really loved seeing it!

Japan for me. The more Yoshis the better.

I am not of the habit to rate a game until I either finished it, or put it aside. I'll refrain from voting until I actually finished this one.

I love me some point 'n click adventures, so thanks for bringing this to our attention! Definitely going to check out the games already available on Switch!

Hello fellow Nintendo Lifers!

This weekend I've got some me-time so I'll be spending that gaming, mostly. This is what I'm currently playing:

• Super Luigi Galaxy 70/120 stars
• Tears of the Kingdom 65% overall completion
• Pokémon Legends Z-A , on my way to reach Rank A
• Resident Evil 4: Chapter 5-2, Krauzer is one of my least favourite bosses, but I'll live 😜
• Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance: Chapter 10

@gcunit Imagine FF7 on 3.5" floppies. You'd be installing it until the end of your days and beyond.

I might get the upgrade, but it really depends on how much single player content there is. So I'll just wait. The Koopaling missions might be fun, but I'm not sure they'll be a meaty enough expansion to get.

It also heavily depends on the price, but I think it'll be 19,99 or something to that effect. That might be a bit steep for what I will consume, as I don't play these games multiplayer at all.

@SuperEndriu That's fine if you already own it, sure, but not all of us have a PC or PS5 to play this game on. Personally, I think 50 euros isn't a high price, especially comparing to what most others ask for their ports.

@gcunit Of course you are allowed to have your opinion on the matter. But what irks me is that many are still going on about the game being on a Game Key Card when it literally doesn't fit on one.

I think I'll get the physical Day 1 Edition, because it features a booster pack of Magic The Gathering cards. But this is tempting, too.

@gcunit It doesn't even fit on a 64Gb cart, so there was no way they could have done this in the first place. This rhetoric is getting old, fast.

If only there was something like "Elephant Yoshi". I'd be all over that Amiibo. These are all pretty cool, but I don't think I'll bite this time.

@Johnny_Arthur it's basically DLC for Switch 2, so yes, you will have to pay for this. Just like Kirby and Mario Party.

I love how Nintendo is all in on Amiibo's again. But who is Prine Florian?

I'll be checking the trailer myself, although I doubt I'll be double dipping for the upgrade myself, with its focus primarily on functions I don't intend to use.

This thing would be fun at the office. Especially since I'm only there two/three days of the week. Having someone sit at my desk and being annoyed by this would be great!

Well, here's hoping Ubisoft will be gone sooner, rather than later, so they can sell the Might & Magic franchise to a better company. What a bunch of quacks... And that's why I've been boycotting them since shortly after the Wii U era.

I don't know which I prefer, stability or comfort. Does this mean the rough edges of the Tetriminos have been chafed?

Having said that, I love reading comments such as these. I mean, I understand that the Switch 2 version will have significant graphical cuts, but if it looks anything like the first part, I really couldn't care less. I can play FF7 remakes on the go, or on the couch, or on my TV! And that is why I bought a Switch 2 in the second place, versatility of where I play. The first reason being 1st party games.

So, we can now catch real life Pokémon in the themeparks to take home? Can't wait to own a Mawile!

I am also patiently waiting for a new Animal Crossing. It'll be a long way off, probably. The 3.0 update hasn't managed to grab my attention thus far. It's just more of the same, I guess? But I am just not in the mood for an aimless game. Not with the backlog I have, haha.

@Shmoo You can never have too many consoles or games! Just enjoy your hobby, like we all do!

I just watched the trailer and I have very little idea what is going on in this game. I might like it, but the smorgasbord of styles doesn't really appeal.

I hope they can put the game out soon and hope their lives will be a bit smoother after its release! Life is indeed not getting any easier, lately.

The demo was enough to convince me. Final Fantasy VII was my first FF game I ever played back on PC, back when. I think I'll order the Day 1 Edition at my local game store!

Predictions. How is this news and not "Rumour"? Come on... This is all speculation!

Yeah, looks like the rumour mill is running overtime for these games to be remastered. Personally, I crave a NEW Fallout experience, or 3D remakes of Fallout 1 and 2. But if they do pop-up, I'll probably get both anyway.

Good, if I can get it for € 20, I'll get it.

@WiltonRoots Glad to hear it! This will be my first DQ game, I decided. I will get 1-3 at a later date. But first it's time for the FF7 Remake for me!

@BriskSunrise Yeah, but graphics wise it is miles from their latest Pokémon game. So that's already a big win.

So, when can we expect the first Nintendo Magic: The Gathering card sets?

If only they would put as much effort into a Pokémon game as their latest game "Beast of Reincarnation". I also really hope they will release the classics on Switch (2) with Pokémon Bank support. They're the most glaring omission from the library on NSO.

All of my favourite developers are present: Nintendo, Capcom and Square-Enix. The only outlier is Minecraft, haha!

@somnambulance Dude, January isn't even over and we got some big games lined up for this week and February is looking pretty lit to me!

I mean, even if FF7 Remake already came out on other platforms, it's new for those who game purely on Nintendo consoles (myself included).

I just sincerely hope Devon will be more visible than Bowser. I mean, I knew he was CEO of Nintendo of America, but he was so invisble! It really made me miss the Reggie/Iwata era. I hope Nintendo will bring some of that goofy charm back. Especially with the current geopolitical situation, I think it would be good to bring some feelgood stuff into the world!
