@Quarth I agree that it's great to play on 3DS and that's probably the best way to play it now. But I meant a full console remake from the ground up. The models in the 3DS version look miles better than the N64 ones, that's for sure!

Always good to explore different options. Personally, I haven't used Switch 2 mouse mode, but I don't have any games that require it, so far. If I'll ever play a game in mouse-mode, I'll have to attach something to my lounge chair to make it feasible.

I am eager to play Requiem! So excited to see Capcom support the Switch 2 like they have, so far. Still one of my favourite developers!

Ocarina of Time feels so overrated, but it is also the one in need of a true remake, I think. I doubt it will ever happen, but who knows.

For me #1 is still A Link to the Past.

Wow, TotK and BotW at the top is insane. I'm playing TotK right now and it is a really good game, but I think it's a bit overshadowed by the fact that it feels a little like a collectathon at the same time. Especially when played with Zelda Notes. I'm having a great time 100+ hours in, but I still think it bleaks in comparison to BotW and A Link to the Past.

And putting Fire Emblem: Three Houses so low on the list should be a criminal offense.

How is this a top 100 Nintendo list when there's plenty of multiplatform games on it?

The earlier trailers already showed that Samus will be interacting with more people in this game than what can be considered normal for the series. I also hope the "sidekick" character will have a short stay. I'm not keen on babysitting some schmuck with Jar Jar vibes.

Still very excited about this game and hope to stay relatively spoiler free when my copy arrives on launch day!

I see a lot of fixed issues in those patch notes. Hopefully they'll help with the performance as well. What I saw in the trailer looks pretty dope. Can't wait to start this one, eventually!

Mosslax is cool! Hoping to see more variants! Peakychu seems a bit uninspired. I'm not sure what to make of the game, yet. I was excited at first, but releasing it as a GKC is kind of a deal breaker for me.

I'm curious to find out how Pokopia will do as a GKC. And I'm kind of glad to see that Europe is at least voting with their wallets. I know I did. Never going to get a Pokémon game day one and definitely not without a hefty discount. I've already seen the price for this game drop to € 56,50 for the Nintendo Switch 2 version in retail. But I'll probably get it off Vinted 2nd hand for less. If I change my mind about it.

@gcunit Your logic is a bit unsound. Buying 2nd hand does NOT add to sales numbers in charts like these. Each unit can only be sold once new. After that, they don't count for sales numbers for charts any more.

@BAN I never said that you're not allowed to voice your negative opinion. I voice my opinion on many things here, postive and negative. All I was saying that it's good that you're not forced to play them, since they seem to tire you.

I don't think I played any indie games that were actually released this year, but based on what I know, I think Absolum, Hades II and Silksong would be my picks.

Can I also take a moment to address the fact how weird it is to have GOTY awards when the year isn't even officially closed? I mean Mina the Hollower would be top on my list otherwise. The demo was great! And I'm bummed out it was delayed.

Articles like these are why I love this website! I remember seeing tons of these on sale in shops in the Netherlands. Even then I never bought it although the packed in Amiibos were certainly nice.

I'm just glad we were spared anything remotely like this. 😆

This is one game I was excited for. I might still get it digitally, but ONLY if it gets good reviews.

So, a cosy survival game? I had such high hopes for this game when I saw it, but I am a bit bummed out by how easy it is for a survival game. Yet, I could use a cosy game and the art direction is great! Perhaps they can add a difficulty option to make the game more brutal? For those who like a real challenge, by making some resources more scarce or by adding permadeath, like with Don't Starve (which I absolutely hated, btw).

Overall I think I'll keep this game on my wishlist. A 10-hour snack-sized cosy survival game might be just what I need during the dark days of December!

I have to say that it's amazing that I'm excited for this game. I was/am quite burnt out on anything Marvel, but after thoroughly enjoying Shredder's Revenge I'm so excited for this game and the huge roster of playable characters. It's going to be a fun time playing this couch co-op with my friends with snacks and a beer!

You can definitely see the influence of Dead Cells on this game, when it comes to animation smoothness. I loved Dead Cells, even though I never finished a run properly. I'm not getting this game, however, because I refuse to buy anything from Ubisoft.

The first one was fun and I went to see it twice. I am definitely going to see it, but I'll choose a calmer moment, somewhere towards the end of the movie's lifespan in the cinema.

They both seem fine, but the Illumination sauce is heavy on both. My biggest worry is Yoshi, who was totally absent in the Direct. Such a big disappointment for me.

Kirby Air Riders and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment for me. Although I am interested in Morsels and Demon School, too!

The game has seen larger discounts already in retail. I'm still a bit on the fence about it. Seeing as I've already got plenty of long JRPGs in my backlog. But it's nice to see discounts like these!

Gonna be a good night at the cinema with a bucket of popcorn and some beer!

Glad to hear they're getting more pay. And a good sign, too! It's refreshing to see a message like this instead of another mass layoffs and restructuring one.

@John_Deacon don't know where you live, but here in the Netherlands it's still a thing here. At the end of the year when I have my annual review with my manager it's always part of the discussion.

It'll be interesting to see if this tactic will pay off for Sony.

The success of the first Switch was so good and Nintendo became so dominant, it's no surprise developers and publishers want their games on Nintendo systems. At the same time Nintendo has the best first party releases of all three major video game console producers. Sony really is having an uphill struggle against their biggest rival. I don't see any reason to get a PS5, when I can play so many good games on TV and on the go on my Switch 2.

February and March will be full of horror games, it seems. I love that there seems to be some kind of resurgence of the genre going on for Switch 2. I can't wait!

I have only ever played the Warriors cross-overs with Nintendo IPs. Maybe I should change that at some point.

I had quite a bit of fun with the Romancing SaGa 2 remake. Would be nice if we got a remake of 3 too at some point. But I guess an anniversary is a perfect opportunity to announce something regarding the series.

Please refrain from using the term "full blown" in combination with Game Key Card. There's nothing full blown about them. They're empty cards...

If this game is coming on Game Key Card that's a hard pass from me.

Wow, a 3rd playthrough? Where does one find the time for that? I'm on 47% overall completion with Zelda notes and once I'm on 100%, it's done for TotK for me. But kudos to him! I can fully understand the need for a comfort game.

My comfort game is The Binding of Isaac: Repentance. I feel that it has unlimited replayability and even though I've spent over 500+ hours on the game, I'm nowhere near completing my first save game. Mostly because I'm just not that good, but also because it took me a very long time to find out the subtleties of the game and the incredible depth it has, if you really dig into it.

I liked the first movie and I'm sure I'll like this one too, but these Directs are not what they used to be and it makes me feel old and a bit sad.

I don't have any idea how much prestige this particular award holds, as this is the first time I heard of it. But there's no denying how iconic Pokémon is. Curious to see who will be accepting the reward on TPCs behalf.

Haven't had any major problems so far. The only thing is the blur in handheld mode for some games, but I played docked 90% of the time, if not more anyway.

It would be nice if they added more support for games, though.

@Suketoudara I agree, the borders are a real nuisance... The only borders I'd be remotely interested in are the Game Boy Player ones. Just allowing them to be gone and black would be infinitely better than what we have now.

Voted for the Japanese version. The US version is nearly as uncanny as the old Mega Man covers. Also calling it Dragon Power, instead of Ball... it's just weird...

After looking at this version of Yoshi a bit more carefully, I feel like they did my boy dirty. One thing that always stands out to me are his eyelids and it seemed they chose to go for a wide-eyed Yoshi. I don't like it. But then again, I think the art direction for the Mario Movie(s) is a bit too much Illumination-like and I really don't care for it much.

Great to see they're actually implementing a mod! I've still to get this game, which I will, after I properly finish Hollow Knight.
