Jigglypuff is my favourite too, mostly on account of how awesome Jigglypuff is in Smash Bros. The Snore/Snooze move always manages to surprise other players! But whenever Jigglypuff is present in any game, it is sure to get a place in my team. Although it has to be said that I also love Scream Tail, which should come as no surprise.
I am really hoping for a more linear experience again. Back to basics, dungeons with upgrades and puzzles that require said upgrades/tools. I loved the Age of the Wild. It was a great time, but I feel that we need to go back to what Zelda really was at its core.
Also, I'd love for A Link to the Past to be remade, or a port of A Link Between Worlds. Or a reimagining of the very first Zelda game, seeing as this year marks the 40 year anniversary!
9/10 for me. Some really good announcements and a lot of great games coming to Switch 2. Everyone who claims there are no games on Switch 2 is definitely not very informed and/or heavily biased.
I love Orbitals, but there were some other really exciting games like Elliot, FF7-2 and Pragmata that I voted for too. Now to find the time...
Capcom is really cooking this year! I love how this is another, fresh IP. It's something I have been longing for. I'm a bit done with remakes/remaster/Switch 2 Editions.
I already finished this game on PS4 with Platinum Trophy and am not going to triple dip (I own this game on PC, too). I don't have much faith in Bethesda after they botched the Switch 2 version of Skyrim.
Just started the first part. Definitely going to get the second. Already loving it. I am playing with Japanese voice-overs and absolutely love revisiting this wondrous world from the first Final Fantasy game I ever played.
Resident Evil has already been pre-ordered. The bundle with three games and the pro controller. I can't wait to dive in, although I am considering where to start. Requiem is the one I most look forward to, seeing as it's new.
Besides that I voted for Dragon Quest VII and Mario Tennis. Both of which are going to be added to my collection at some point whenever I can get a decent bargain. Not to mention, find the time to play them.
@Bolt_Strike Oooh, yes, a Sylux side-quest would be lovely, great idea! But I fear it's a bit of a pipe dream... Let's just hope they will give us more MP in the future! Although I have to admit that I love 2D Metroid a bit more.
Would love to get the upgrade for this game. I tried it once, played about 4 hours and then Blasphemous (which I started at the same time) managed to hold my attention. I would love to revisit this game, but a Switch 2 upgrade is more than welcome!
@PtM Yeah, I suppose you are right. But they are a bit too frequent for my taste. I hope the 2nd year of Switch 2 will see this practice reduced drastically.
@FaroreAbhorsen I sincerely hope Nintendo will not go down that road. All the doom & gloom stories surrounding this series have so far proven to be false. Let's hope it stays that way. I think people forget that Nintendo's coffers are so full they can easily withstand some hardships here and there.
My biggest concern right now is the flooding of Nintendo Switch 2 versions with titles as long as the proverbial bible. What we really need is new games.
@sportymariosonicmixx Your scope is way too small. The geopolitical situation with tariffs in the US, the memory shortage, a lot of things outside of Nintendo's direct control are also putting pressure on things.
Yes, they do need new big hitters, but I can't imagine they aren't working on them.
Besides all that, I don't agree with you that Switch 2 is not a new hybrid console. If you're going down that road PS5 is just a PS4 Pro+
Great! Looking forward to it. But it makes one wonder when we can expect a 1st party one, we need release dates for Fire Emblem and Yoshi and the Mysterious Book!
Yeah, no real surprise there. As I have learned, it's important to always put numbers in perspective. So don't just look at one set of numbers, but compare it with similar companies and other world events that are happening.
Well, that's good news for those who got one! I am personally considering getting the cardboard one for Switch 2. The Virtual Boy shell is just too unwieldy in my opinion. No matter how cool it is to have a piece of Nintendo curiosa.
@SabreLevant Engage isn't bad gameplay wise at all. The story is very vanilla, but if you accept that, it's actually one of the most "engaging" Fire Emblem games I've played. I just took the story for granted.
Yoshi is a fun little game that I used to play quite often. Never played Balloon Kid, so I'll definitely check it out, though the Japanese version looks so much better!
Capcom is really cooking this year! So many awesome releases I can't wait to play. This might be the most surprising one! I loved the theory that it was secretly a Mega Man game.
Wait, I was under the impression that the 100 Euro set came with an actual controller. It doesn't? Well, I guess it only makes more sense to just go for the cardboard alternative, then. I mean, it looks great as a collectible, but this is just taking it a bit too far...
@Polvasti Maybe the biggest mistake was naming it Metroid Prime 4, instead of just Metroid Prime - Beyond. At least, that's how I feel about it. A lot of people who haven't played any of the previous entries would be much less pressured into thinking that they need to play all entries that came before 4, at least... And the game is perfectly playable as a standalone. So it's just a weird choice.
To be honest, I'm really bummed out by the lack of performance of these games. They're more "up my alley" than most large releases and I am seriously rooting for both. I bought Metroid Prime 4 directly from Nintendo with all three Amiibos to boot. I will get Age of Imprisonment after I 100% TotK. By that time I can probably get the game for half off, which is good for me, but definitely not for the likelyhood of seeing more games in the Warriors series in the future...
@Jhena It's also gotta do with when taxes and year reports are done. At least here in the Netherlands. We need to do our taxes in March, so you always have the first quarter of the year to make sure all your numbers of the previous year are in order. The larger the company, the more complex and time consuming. So I guess that's also got to do with it.
@Elbarbo I would have loved to see MP4 perform better. I really enjoyed my time with the game, but it really suffered from big expecations it never would have been able to fulfill.
At least Metroid Dread performed well enough to see another sequel. I sincerely hope Metroid Prime will be given another try, but the delay really didn't help at all.
@Thrussted I was the same with Tomodachi Life on 3DS. I expected nothing, but I got hooked really fast. If it clicks, it really clicks for this game. It's very weird and quirky, but I loved every bit of it and can't wait for the next instalment.
@NintendoWife That makes sense. It's a shame these games didn't perform well, Metroid included. But I fear the latter suffered badly from too high expectations after an 8 year wait since it was announced. That never helps any game...
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment also seems to be absent?
I got Pokémon Legends Z-A as well and I have to admit that gameplay wise it is a lovely game. I got it 2nd hand, so it doesn't affect the sales numbers given here. But I don't think I will get the DLC, on account of it being a bit too expensive for my taste.
@Olliemar28 Thanks! I agree that we are still lacking a big hitter from one of the "big three" (Mario, Zelda en Pokémon). But my hopes are that we get at least one announcement during the Pokémon 30 year anniversary and hopefully somewhere around March for a brand new Mario game. A full fat Nintendo Direct would be nice too, sometime soon.
@Serpenterror This is my biggest wish, to be honest. Or the addition of all mainline games to NSO with Pokémon Home compatibility. I don't care as long as I can just play those games on my Switch (2)! Surely TPC know this...

Re: PSA: Monster Hunter Stories 3 Switch 2 Trial Demo Now Available, Save Data Carries Over
Might try the demo, but my backlog is starting to grow recently and I don't really want to "waste" time playing demos all that much.
Re: Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 Updated To Version 1.3.1, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
What a nothingburger of an update. I recentely 100% Super Mario Galaxy. I hope they added more stability for SMG2, but apparently not.

Final Fantasy VII: SD Full Edition
😅 Oh dear, oh dear, I guess I better invest some money in storage space.
Re: Super Bomberman Collection Gets A Surprise Shadow Drop On Switch 2
Excellent! This game was like the predecessor to Mario Party in terms of ending friendships. I hope to end many more with this collection! 😈

@IronMan30 Yeah, it's one big nothingburger of an argument. Glad you don't give them the light of day by reacting!

"You might cry, a lot." Okay, you convinced me Alana. I'll put this on my wishlist!
Re: Video: 14 Exciting Games Coming To Switch And Switch 2 In February 2026
@IronMan30 And yet people say there are "no games" for Switch 2. Truly baffling.

If there's going to be a demo, I'll try it. I am still massively on the fence for this one, despite being a Roguelike lover.

Really looking forward to this one. I hope it will release sometime soon. The demo was enough to convince me to buy it.
Re: Metroid Prime 4's "Combined Sales" Have Surpassed One Million, Nintendo Confirms
@FaroreAbhorsen I don't see how you could add DLC to this one, to be honest. They just need to make sure MP5 doesn't take 18 years to release.
Re: Metroid Prime 4's "Combined Sales" Have Surpassed One Million, Nintendo Confirms
We can all rest easy, then! Phew!

Wasn't going to spend any money on this game, anyway after what that dude said about getting the game. I'm done sponsoring companies like that.
