Not even that big of a delay and regardless, glad they're taking their time to make it better from the get-go - definitely looking forward to this myself!
Fingers crossed there will be an upgrade (hopefully an actual one and not a discount only for those who have it digitally à la Stray etc. as much as of course even that is better than nothing at all) - that said, glad that this is coming also to Switch 1 and 2 for those interested in it, potentially me included!
I'm waiting to see how it actually ends up being and so the potential tradeoffs like the ones already mentioned here before judging it and maybe even considering getting it myself at some point - that said, the more options (while this should technically be the only model in Europe going forward most certainly people will still be able to find find the older models in some way or the other) the better!
At this point I'm glad the majority, me included, will most likely get this and other games regardless because these "boycotts" etc. more than AI are hurting the human developers still mostly involved in creating games, images etc. (and even exclusively, let's not forget all the witch hunts against creators who actually aren't using AI at all, here's an example and this is just the tip of the iceberg) - personally, I'd rather go against AI usage that genuinely negatively affects creators first and foremost and their creations instead of hurting them myself just for the sake of a crusade against AI as a whole...
Glad the Switch 2 version finally has a precise release date - absolutely getting it (love the Lego games I've played in general and have heard great things about this one in particular)!
As already mentioned also by people in the forums, it would make sense even without considering the potential leaks (although now that NatetheHate also mentioned that it's more likely than not as he's practically always right when it comes to Directs unlike games) as this week Summer Game Fest and after the next week there are various things that could divert people's attention and at the very end of the month Star Fox - looking forward to the Direct whenever it happens, but most likely next week!
Happy for those interested in playing this on mobile (not me included as most likely I'll just stick to Switch 2 personally, but still) - will have to remember to get Raichu and its Megastones then!
Great parody, kudos to ultratom07 for making it (and of course thanks Jim for sharing it here on Nintendo Life) - later I'll check Koopa Komforts as well and absolutely looking forward to the official Aardman and Pokémon collab next year, too!
@Itsashame "[T]he original Legends being way more recent than the original Star Fox 64" (and so of course its graphics as well) - anyway, in addition to the abovementioned there are also all the marketing advantages of a new release like being presented at showcases as has just happened, being in latest games section of stores etc. while being less risky than a completely new game... and again, even if I didn't care about such remakes myself I'd still be happy for those who'll play these games if not series for the first time thanks to all that other than hopefully these being just the starting points to eventually get completely new titles, too!
@Itsashame ... I've practically already mentioned that myself, what's comparable is the intention of introducing the franchise to more people and doing so by remaking the most notable game in these series while there are those differences (although not only opinions on visuals can differ and I've already seen several here on Nintendo Life preferring the new version even when it comes to Rayman, but also these remakes will have additional contents and/or QoL features etc. as reasons for people to get them instead of the originals) - regardless, I really hope both will succeed at that and so these series will finally make proper comebacks!
Thanks for the review, way more interested in this myself now based on what's mentioned here - glad online is still included, but I get more of a kick out of offline modes like World Tour etc. personally (in addition, the offline focus means that most of the game should still be available in the future regardless of servers shutting down)!
Love to hear it, fingers crossed it keeps on selling and so Yacht Club Games will be in an even better spot (glad we're already beyond the "really, really great" stage based on the current sales and that quote) - personally, I've supported Mina on Kickstarter and I'm so looking forward to playing it as soon as I can!
Unfortunate, but at least it's still coming to a Nintendo system - anyway, looking forward to getting and eventually playing this myself (I should play Origins first and foremost, though)!
As much as I wouldn't have said no to additional contents through DLC, Air Riders has been chock-full of things to do from the start (and if it got DLC then people would've claimed they cut stuff from the base game, damned if you do and damned if you don't)... Leaving that aside, glad these amiibo are now supported and getting them myself when I can - in general looking forward to eventually playing more Air Riders on my own and for my channel!
Really cool that it's included with Legends Retold (so glad it's confirmed also for the physical version) - would've got both regardless, but even more so considering this!
It's similar to the Star Fox situation in that they're trying to introduce Rayman to more people and so it makes sense to start with Legends for the reasons Gougnon mentioned, but there are some difference that make it weirder (the original Legends being way more recent than the original Star Fox 64 and its availability on all contemporary platforms while the previous remake of 64 is stuck on 3DS) - regardless, personally I absolutely welcome it and even more so considering its additions... and also since I haven't properly played Legends yet and again, as abovementioned this is first and foremost for those who haven't played the game or even any Rayman games before, if I weren't on board myself I'd still be happy for them and also what this could mean for Rayman's future!
Unless I had somehow completely missed them before I thought the 3D sequences were new, thanks for the confirmation - anyway, glad this has now been officially announced and it's coming also to Switch 2, absolutely interested in it (even more so since I haven't properly played Legends yet, only at a friend's house so far)!
Could be that they need more time before announcing the release date on Switch 2, but at the same time I wonder if the "later date" could just be whenever the Direct happens - regardless, glad this is now confirmed to be coming also to Switch 2 for those interested in it (potentially me included, wouldn't mind giving it a try at the very least)!
So glad this is now confirmed also for Switch 2 and even more so since it should be a day-and-date release - definitely interested in it myself (we'll see if I'll able to play other Tomb Raider games before this one comes out or if it will, funnily enough considering it's a reimagining of the very first game in the series, end up being my first one)!
Again, the "something more new and exciting" should eventually happen, but only after introducing Star Fox to more people first in the Mario movie and then as a videogame (by the way, here are the sales of the series so far) and I'd say there's no better way to do so with a remake of 64 that has improved visuals, controls, extras etc. - anyway, glad most mentioned here enjoyed what they've played of this, looking forward to doing so myself as soon as my copy arrives!
Think I had the first of these Toy Story games or at least its demo as a kid, but on PC - anyway, what a nice surprise (lol A Bug's Life also being included), always glad when older games get officially rereleased in general and also personally interested in these myself, especially the physical including all the games if available also here in Italy!
Of course your mileage may vary based on the technical compromises, but for all the reviews so far even this version is great if not better and I love to see it - so looking forward to my copy to arrive and then eventually playing it (i.e. after having played Remake which I'm starting as soon as I can)!
I'm definitely interested, can't say no to a good (fingers crossed for the best) kart racer - looking forward to the official announcement whenever it happens... and this is one more reason for me to finally play the Yooka-Laylee games when I can!
Glad these have now been officially announced - will definitely consider getting at least some of these (especially the smaller and less expensive sets) obviously for me and in the future for my niece, too!
Great overview trailer (appreciated the little additions here and there for those who have already watched the Direct like the multiplayer power-ups) - so looking forward to this game, in fact I'm starting it as soon as my copy arrives!
Didn't expect a preview already, nice - most likely the main purpose of this remake is exactly introducing new players (even more so after Fox's inclusion in the Mario movie) to Star Fox and 64 is definitely the best starting point although of course with improved visuals, controls and even some additions - seems like it's mission accomplished, not just complete, based on this although of course we'll see when we get closer the full release... and fingers crossed that will be the case for the sake of this very game and hopefully completely new ones in the future, too!
Thanks for the review, most certainly I won't particularly mind the technical downsides (that's usually the case for me in general and even more so when it comes to such a game in particular) while practically everything else mentioned absolutely appeals to me - so glad they ported it to Switch 2 and so I'll be able to play it myself... after finishing Remake, haven't started that yet but I'll do so as soon as I can considering not only Rebirth, but also the third game which seems to be coming sooner rather than later!
Love to hear that Gravity Circuit is getting a sequel next year and that it's already confirmed also for Switch - definitely checking it out myself (I should finally play the original as well when I can)!
Glad they're further improving this game in general and also specifically on Switch 2, while not a dealbreaker for me it would be great if they added gyro - even more so if that ends up being included there, fingers crossed they'll release the second, larger patch in time for the physical release (regardless, I've already preordered that and I'm looking forward to playing this game when I can)!
Nice, neither too long nor too short (although nowadays I overall prefer the latter between the two extremes for sure to have more time for more games) - looking forward to my copy to arrive and then starting it when I can!
Preordered it, just waiting for my copy to arrive - that said, of course I'm not starting it anytime soon since I haven't played Remake yet (as soon as I can I'll start that and then when I finish playing it I'll move on to Rebirth)!
Love to see the Mario Kart World soundtrack being added and Android Auto/Apple CarPlay compatibility (happy for those who have been waiting for any of those in particular), but personally even more so Nintendo Music available also on web browsers - thanks to that I'll finally use it way more myself!
Love to see First Light debuting on top! Also personally happy for Lego Batman in 2nd, Requiem in 3rd, Pokopia in 5th, Yoshi in 6th, World in 7th, Forza Horizon in 10th, Legends Z-A in 12th, Pragmata in 15th, the Galaxy bundle in 16th, Wonder in 17th, Red Dead Redemption back to the charts in 18th (most certainly thanks to a sale on PS5, but glad to see the Switch 2 percentage), Bananza in 19th, 8 Deluxe in 20th, Jamboree in 21st etc.!
Guess they're keeping the announcement for the June Direct then - regardless, glad Minecraft is finally getting a Switch 2 version for those interested in it (me included if I end up giving it a try myself at some point)!
Didn't know it worked that way, that's pretty clever - even more so considering that I still think this is a really neat collectible (obviously for Pokémon fans specifically, but that's a given considering the kind of product)!
Preordered from Italian Amazon all the highlighted games, Mouse P.I., Digimon Time Stranger (in addition from Japanese Amazon I've preordered Inazuma Eleven and Goemon) and getting a digital copy of The Witch's Bakery as I've supported it on Kickstarter - again, pretty busy months when it comes to new releases and I'd say I couldn't be happier... but of course most likely there will be a Direct as well, after that then I'll actually say that!
Don't have the time to watch the video now, but I've checked out which games are included (thanks for the timestamps) and it's an overall really nice selection - interested in playing at least some of them myself when I can, too!
Preordered physically Rebirth, Elliot and Star Fox (along with other games not mentioned here like the physical of Inazuma Eleven etc.), will eventually get Denshattack for sure, most likely The Grand Master 4, maybe something else from this list - anyway, June will be another busy month when it comes to new releases and I couldn't be happier... and as already mentioned here hopefully we'll get a Direct, too!
How I wish they even just announced a Switch 2 version of Minecraft - leaving that aside, these announcements are nice, happy for those interested in any of these (my favorite is Dungeons II)!
10/12 (misclicked the Virtual Boy game and forgot the name of the TCG expansion) and 01:34 so currently 9th on the leaderboard and rank 34th out of 182 - great quiz as usual!
By the way, funnily enough this is the WarioWare I had as a kid (I played the original GBA one only later on emulator) - anyway, fingers crossed it eventually comes to NSO!
North America for me as it shows not just Wario, but also the other WarioWare characters and that's even more important considering that each one of them hosts a multiplayer game which are the peculiarity of this version other than the usual single-player stages and are playable there - all the other covers tell instead of showing aspects about this game...
Speaking of, on the Japanese one it says 最多最短最速 - アツマレ!!メイドインワリオ Saita Saitan Saisoku Atsumare!! Made in Wario "Most, Shortest, Fastest - Gather!! Made in Wario" (Made in Wario is the Japanese name of WarioWare while Atsumare of this one in particular and there are also other writings, but the remaining big one is simply あつまれ!! atsumare!! again, just in hiragana)!
Love to see the compatibility fixes continuing (in particular among these games Monster Hunter Stories for me) - fingers crossed they'll be able to keep on doing that so that more and more Switch games will run on Switch 2 without issues!
Haven't checked out all the patch notes here, but the first ones are funny in my opinion (in more ways than one, certainly didn't expect "[e]nsuring Bubsy's bowel movements are consistent" and "[e]ducating Bubsy that even bobcats need to obey the laws of physics") - anyway, glad they're further improving this game, looking forward to getting and then eventually playing it myself!
Nice, happy for those who get to work on this sequel (and good luck to those taking part in the build challenge) - hope people interested in it will enjoy it and who knows, maybe I'll watch the original first and then this myself, too!
What's weird is that they've shown footage of XII and nothing for this - also considering this rating now, even more I can't help but wonder if they're keeping some info for one or multiple of the upcoming summer showcases, but of course we'll just have to wait and see (not much since in a couple of days it will be June, but still)!
@eldersnake Thank you, luckily it's not too bad for now (hopefully I'll be able to play CrossWorlds on stream tomorrow, especially to take part in the Puyo Puyo Festival), but that's exactly why I'd rather not risk making it worse by going out - ha ha yeah, while I'll still stick to my gaming schedule I'll definitely play even just slightly more Yoshi and Bananza today considering that!

Re: Minecraft Movie Sequel Gets Official Title, New Cast Members Revealed
Nice, happy for those who get to work on this sequel (and good luck to those taking part in the build challenge) - hope people interested in it will enjoy it and who knows, maybe I'll watch the original first and then this myself, too!
Re: Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World Has Been Rated For Switch 1 & 2
@iLikeUrAttitude Exactly, we'll see when those happen if that's the case or not!
Re: Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World Has Been Rated For Switch 1 & 2
What's weird is that they've shown footage of XII and nothing for this - also considering this rating now, even more I can't help but wonder if they're keeping some info for one or multiple of the upcoming summer showcases, but of course we'll just have to wait and see (not much since in a couple of days it will be June, but still)!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (30th May)
@D-Star92 Thank you!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (30th May)
@eldersnake Thank you, luckily it's not too bad for now (hopefully I'll be able to play CrossWorlds on stream tomorrow, especially to take part in the Puyo Puyo Festival), but that's exactly why I'd rather not risk making it worse by going out - ha ha yeah, while I'll still stick to my gaming schedule I'll definitely play even just slightly more Yoshi and Bananza today considering that!
