Love to see another Marvel collection, kudos to all those making this happen and fingers crossed there will be more after this one - absolutely interested in it myself (should finally play the Marvel Vs Capcom one first and foremost though also considering that I already have it)!
@hXcBoomstick According to Tony Gowland from Ant Workshop "[i]n terms of dev kit availability, there has been a similar situation to the OG Switch, which was also like hen’s teeth for a good 6-7 months after launch" - simply there has been more focus on the matter when it comes to Switch 2 (more developers being interested in the system from the get go is most likely a reason, but I can't help thinking that it's also unfortunately due to all those profiting from the negativity ever since the start of this gen)...
Nice, looking forward to giving Balatro a try myself when I can even more than I already was now that it got a Switch 2 version - glad it's a free upgrade for those who already have the Switch one (not me included so I'm buying it now, even more so considering the current discount on it)!
Thanks for the review, glad to hear the game itself is so good and that it overall runs pretty well even on Switch 2 for those interested in it (potentially me included, but after all I'd say it's better if I play it safe and give Resident Evil a try by playing 4 first and foremost and also considering that I already have it) - fingers crossed Mercenaries Mode gets added as DLC!
Thanks for the review, as usual for me personally games being relatively short is more of a positive than a negative, at worst I'll just stop playing TaleSpin and/or Darkwing Duck if they end up being too frustrating even with the luckily available rewind while everything else absolutely appeals to me - regardless, so glad this collection is finally coming also to Switch 1 and 2 and better than ever with the additional games (will try to get a physical copy of the former if it ends up being confirmed that there aren't differences between the two versions, otherwise the latter)!
Pretty cool, happy for those going for any of these (not me included, I doubt they'll be available also here in Italy in the first place and even if they were I'd go for one of the smaller items like the Gengar Cap at most)!
Won't watch the video fully since it's extensive footage, but I checked it out here and there and yep, as mentioned also in the article it looks pretty good especially performance-wise in addition to what others mentioned in the comments about the different options etc. yesterday and now here, too - looking forward to the full review and most likely playing it myself at some point (even more so since it's digital only I'll wait for a discount other than of course not having the time for it now anyway)!
Huh, so only AiAi got delayed while Tangle & Whisper are coming out in February as planned, interesting - anyway, looking forward to them (despite not having read the IDW comics yet, really should do so when I can) and taking part in their festival on stream this Sunday!
Yep, have seen the update this morning on my own Switch 2 although as usual I wonder what actually got changed - anyway, looking forward to playing more Bananza as part of my gaming schedule and even more so since in addition to continuing completing the main game I've finally started Emerald Rush, even given the event at least a couple of tries (unsurprisingly didn't get any rewards for that, but still)!
Glad that Air Riders got at least several updates like this one to make it even better - so looking forward to finally playing the full release myself when I can (might be sooner rather than later, I've finally started cancelling my stuck preorders including that so as soon as that's finished and this gets discounted again on Amazon or elsewhere I'll get it)!
Despite not having played the Xenoverse games myself (so far, hopefully I will at some point) yeah, I wouldn't be surprised at all if this were confirmed - anyway, looking forward to seeing and hearing more about this game whenever they're ready to announce it!
Ever since I heard about it I've wanted to give Gunvolt a try at some point, maybe I'll start with this collection - regardless, so glad to hear that this is coming and even more so since there's a Switch 2 Edition (will consider importing the Japanese physical version if it doesn't become available elsewhere)!
Thanks for the review, definitely interested in giving this at least a try (wonder how it is in handheld on Switch 2 although I could simply play it docked anyway and most likely I'll prefer one of the non-classic modes, but we'll see) - regardless, so glad this is finally also on Switch!
Nice trailer, looking forward to the review here on Nintendo Life - definitely interested in giving Fallout 4 a try myself when I can now that it's also on Switch 2 (and even more so based on what's mentioned in most comments here, having all those options is great)!
Nice to see this game still getting such additions - looking forward to this DLC and the rest of the game when I can (now I have the base game and past DLCs so it's just a matter of finding the time for them)!
Ah, so it did start around carnival and is simply lasting way past it, now I see - anyway, doubt I'll go for anything myself, but happy for those who will or already have (didn't expect Banjo-Kazooie and Tooie vinyls, pretty cool)!
Pretty funny the enemy in Revelations inspired by Iron Knuckles from Zelda II (have finally fully played the latter and they were a pain in that game, bet the enemy in the former is easier to at least an extent compared to those) - anyway, great Creator's Voice and most likely I'll eventually get Requiem myself... maybe even sooner rather than later, getting more and more tempted to give Resident Evil a try with this one despite having finally got 4 and so having that to play first and foremost in theory!
Not particularly interested in this myself since I don't play GO anymore but still, pretty cool idea (and I might check it out at least from time to time for the articles about other Pokémon games) - anyway, wish the best to Matthew in this endeavor!
Thanks for the review, it further confirms my interest in this when the physical version comes out (in addition to finally playing Rayman 2 now that it's luckily on NSO) - that said, fingers crossed they'll be able to fix its straight up issues and hopefully also include the original soundtracks although that likely depends on licensing as already mentioned here!
While of course we'll have to wait and see personally I'm confident that it will be an overall great port, especially after their excellent work on Remake as mentioned also in the article, by Digital Foundry etc. - speaking of, so looking forward to playing the latter myself as soon as I can (I've finally got a physical copy so now it's exclusively a matter of finding the time for it)!
Unfortunately here's an example of the serious problems even just when it comes to gaming I mentioned earlier today - sad to hear for those interested in it (me included to at least an extent, would've given it at least a try had it come to Switch) and even more so its developers!
And we're back to the regular Tuesday Nintendo Music updates, love to see Super Mario Land 2 being the next soundtrack coming to the service - it's a relatively short, but absolutely sweet one (have recently listened to it again in game when I played and this time finally finished the game for my channel)!
Even more so since this game hasn't come out yet I'm glad they delayed it if it means it being better from the get-go (and it's a slight delay anyway) - not as interested in it myself considering the genre but I might eventually give it a try since some aspects like its cartoon style etc. definitely appeal to me and regardless, hope those going for it will enjoy it!
Twice as long as Pokémon Presents usually are, nice - also considering that other than it being the 30th anniversary of the series and them announcing FireRed and LeafGreen before it, I'm so looking forward to seeing what they have in store (as usual I'll watch it live on my own in Italian and then later, in this case most likely on the same day, on stream in Japanese)!
@OmnitronVariant Yep and in addition to what you've already mentioned even on sites like this one there's a silent majority that doesn't comment mostly if at all (you can tell for example based on the way more votes in polls than comments and/or the differences between them) - I can see where you're coming from about frequently regretting commenting and I feel like that myself from time to time, especially when some start attacking me personally and even by creating accounts exclusively for that purpose, but luckily overall I still enjoy my time here on Nintendo Life, both writing and reading articles and others' comments... including yours regardless of disagreements to various extents from time to time, a recent example of one that I quite appreciated is what you mentioned about Kamiya-san's comment yesterday (funnily enough we did that practically at the same time, in fact yours wasn't on screen for me until I left mine)!
As usual don't mind delays if they mean games, in this case the Switch 2 Edition, being better from the get-go like seems to be the case for this also based on what's mentioned in this article (they could've waited before announcing a precise release date though, even just "Spring 2026" would've been better) - anyway, looking forward to finally giving this a try after the upgrade has come out and when I have the time for it!
Maybe, just maybe, most people are more interested in these and other games themselves than the incessant "controversies" on the internet? Considering all the actual, serious problems even just when it comes to gaming starting with the layoffs, personally I'm so glad that the majority still cares first and foremost about games at the very least (in my case also the fellow human beings whose livelihoods depend on them, but those supporting the official releases also contribute to that regardless) - even more so when the "issue" is the starting price and people could and should simply, like many if not most already do, look/wait for:
discounts both digitally and physically, doesn't apply to these specific games at the very least for now, but it does to most in general and you can keep track of those with Deku Deals;
discounted eShop cards which absolutely apply also to these, in fact it has already been mentioned in this very comment section;
buy from foreign stores which is what I did since I wanted the Japanese version, got a 2000 Yen card for €15,60 and now even some cashback on Playasia...
Yeah no thanks, personally I'll gladly keep the 60fps as that's quite the noticeable improvement while stuff like this others and I didn't notice at all (I'm all for fixing it if possible, though) - regardless, so looking forward to playing more Xenoblade Chronicles X!
Funnily enough this is the kind of "spoiler" I don't mind despite being technically major as it makes me even more excited for the movie of course assuming it's true and not just a mistake - so looking forward to seeing Wario in action maybe also in trailers and for sure in the full movie (and while it doesn't particularly matter to me personally as I'll watch it in Italian first and foremost I'm curious about who will voice him in English, would be hilarious if it actually were Danny DeVito)!
Thanks for the review, unfortunate to hear about the hit in handheld although I bet even that is still better than cloud (other than of course not losing access to it eventually for sure) - this one's most likely not for me either, but I hope those interested will enjoy it!
Thanks for the review, glad to hear this version is so good for those interested in it (not me included considering also the first person in addition to it seemingly being horror more on the disturbing side than other games in the genre in general and Resident Evil in particular) - fingers crossed more if not all the games that were exclusively cloud versions on Switch will get such ports!
Nice, definitely watching it live if possible or at worst after - curious in particular what they'll show of Wonder (maybe finally including the single player unlike the previews?), but of course more Pokopia is welcome, too!
Yeah, not particularly surprising considering how much the games above Mario Tennis Fever in these charts constantly sell - what's a nice surprise is Reanimal gaining a position, glad for those interested in it and its creators! Also personally happy for Mario Kart World in 2nd, Legends Z-A in 4th, New Horizons still in 8th, Cyberpunk in 9th and selling the most on Switch 2, CrossWorlds back to the charts in 12th and selling the most on Switch (when the Switch 2 physical comes out it will definitely help as well), Skywalker Saga in 15th, Hogwarts Legacy back to the charts in 16th and selling the most on Switch and more than half of the sales when combined with Switch 2, 8 Deluxe in 17th, Armored Core VI in 18th, Bananza in 19th, Switch Sports in 20th etc.!
The expression 万死に値する Banshi ni Atai suru literally means "deserve to die a ten thousand deaths", but by extension it means "to be the worst of the worst of the worst" (most likely it's related to Buddhism as if one doesn't attain nirvana then they keep on reincarnating and so die ten thousands, i.e. a myriad of, times) - anyway, personally I'd rather avoid exaggerations and even more so when it comes to something like this luckily not as serious as other crimes, but I certainly can see where Kamiya-san is coming from!
Already got a Japanese copy of FireRed, maybe later I'll get also LeafGreen - not only it's the game I had as a kid, but also it's the one that makes the most sense to play on my channel (makes more sense to teach 赤 aka "red" before 緑 midori "green" and also considering the slightly more exclusives than LeafGreen when excluding the Pokémon we've already seen by playing Pokémon Snap)!
This time as well I'm going for a Pokémon that I of course like in itself and its appearances first and foremost, but also representative of a distinctive feature of the gen and of course for this one it's Terastal - considering all that I'm going for Ogerpon... and let's be honest, it also helps that I love Kitakami and its Japanese cultural elements!
Here are my comments to the main letters as usual:
couldn't agree more and that's exactly why if I ever get another system in addition to Switch 2 it's Steam Deck (waiting to see if a successor to the latter is at the very least announced one of these years or not) - unfortunately doubt 100% Orange Juice will ever be released elsewhere also due to how they made it etc. if I recall correctly but yep, such a nice "small" game;
can see where whoever wrote the second letter is coming from and it is kind of a bummer, I guess Nintendo want to keep the online with randos of Wonder strictly the way it already is (be it due to safety concerns, taking longer to implement etc.) - that said, you could make Switch friends with people here on Nintendo Life or elsewhere and then play with them;
I'd say that the whimsy and charm are still present although not in the same spots as on Wii U/3DS and not exclusively on the system itself due to Nintendo expanding their offerings - in addition to My Nintendo Store there's My Nintendo for the bonuses, Nintendo Today etc. (and for the straight up weird we have Virtual Boy, Alarmo, the Talking Flower and so on)!
Japan without a doubt as it shows the characters and setting of the game (also a fan of its aesthetic in general and in particular the logo in the shape of the island for the part of the title specific to this game, it's such a nice touch) - North America/Europe is only good at showing that it's a Zelda game in general which makes even less sense for Link's Awakening considering that it's atypical in several ways!
Again, nobody is forcing anyone to buy anything and no matter the reason why you're not buying something, you're not entitled to make false accusations by saying exaggerations - so glad others have already addressed that... Leaving that aside, absolutely looking forward to replaying FireRed myself, this time in Japanese for my channel (most likely as soon as I finish Super Mario Advance 2)!
Love to see FF7 Remake debuting in 2nd on the Nintendo charts (and so also going back to 9th on the general ones, lol that it was in 225th before)! Also personally happy on the Nintendo charts for Legends Z-A still in 1st (and in 16th on the general ones), Bananza still in 3rd, New Horizons back to them in 4th, Jamboree in 5th, Prime 4 in 6th, the Galaxy bundle in 7th, Mario Kart 8 funnily in 8th, Hogwarts Legacy back to them in 10th while on the general ones Red Dead Redemption II in 8th, Code Vein debuting in 11th, Split Fiction in 17th, Elden Ring in 18th, Fallout 4 in 20th - of course, also so glad to hear that about Switch 2 hardware as much as again, that's just one part of the whole picture and what matters the most is worldwide sales (here are VGChartz's estimates for January 2026)!
Love what they've shown in this trailer (not watching the Developer Walkthrough since it's extensive footage) and before - so looking forward to playing this game myself at some point although not anytime soon since I'd like to finally play the previous ones first and foremost also considering that I already have them!
Yet again other than the usual and fundamental me liking the Pokémon, its appearances etc. I'm considering the distinctive feature of this gen so Dynamax, in particular Gigantamax - based on that I'm going for Alcremie and as an additional factor there's also the funny (in more senses than one) evolution method and variants!
@The_Nintendo_Expat I can see where you're coming from in general but please, look at what actually happened here: instead of considering that there is an official option to subscribe to NSO for a really, really low price (and where there's a will there's a way as proven by those here on Nintendo Life collaborating to share family subscriptions) yet again people are fixated on exclusively the starting price - the same happened with people bringing up only the starting price of Mario Kart World despite the lower one even at launch in the bundle and so on... Having said that, I agree that we can end this exchange here and regardless, hope you enjoy whatever games currently interest you, both new ones on other platforms and past Nintendo ones and who knows, maybe in the future Switch 2 games by Nintendo, too!
@The_Nintendo_Expat My point is simply that there are several ways to pay less for games on Nintendo systems including those by Nintendo themselves to an extent (and signficantly so in the case of NSO which is the main topic of this article) for those interested in them in the first place - if that doesn't apply to you, why not just move on then?
@The_Nintendo_Expat Just look at the lowest prices of even Nintendo games on Deku Deals - and it's far from exclusive to Italy or Europe although it might be more common here (especially when it comes to physical, for example Kirby Air Riders already got discounted to €47,35 at some point despite coming out on November 20 last year), I've seen people from the US here on Nintendo Life mentioning them as well in several occasions...
Happy 40th anniversary Zelda and Famicom Disk System, I think the first time I played the original was Animal Crossing on GameCube or on GBA, but I certainly didn't finish it back then (in fact, despite playing it several times across different systems I finally did so only when I played it for my channel last year) - my first Zelda game was Ocarina at a friend's house, but even after I got it on GameCube thanks to the bonus disc I didn't even just finish that either (similarly despite playing it several times across different systems I didn't do so until the 3DS version) so my first proper one was Wind Waker... and after that I've at least played most if not all the games in this series and finished and/or completed several of them, love this legendary series!
By the way also for the sake of one of the suggested additional polls (will check out later if those get added or not), if I have to choose a single favorite then I'd say Link's Awakening - no matter the version although my preferred ones are DX for the photos still exclusive to it and the Switch remake for the quality-of-life features!
As usual I'd say that more than leaks in themselves (they can actually convince people on the fence to get games sooner rather than later) what's annoying is some putting them in hard to avoid spots like YouTube thumbnails etc. - luckily I don't particularly mind spoilers myself unless it's something major or even more so extensive footage, but I feel for those accidentally getting spoiled!
@AlanShore I don't get this obsession with the starting prices when you can officially - Nintendo themselves allow it at least so far - get the exact same product (you're not splitting also that unlike food etc.) by sharing a family subscription in the case of NSO, looking/waiting for discounts on games and so on...
@Neiltendo64 How about getting one version in French for you and the other one in English for your son? You'd pay twice for them, but at least you'd have both versions and so access to all the exclusive Pokémon by trading them assuming you have two Switches - luckily there are no limitations to it in the gen 3 games, the only downside being the names of the traded Pokémon as you can see here (and that luckily can be countered by giving them nicknames yourself)!

Re: Nintendo Treehouse Returns This Week With A Pair Of Gameplay Showcases
Nice, definitely watching it live if possible or at worst after - curious in particular what they'll show of Wonder (maybe finally including the single player unlike the previews?), but of course more Pokopia is welcome, too!
Re: UK Charts: Mario Tennis Fever Gets Lobbed By Old Favourites
Re: Resident Evil Requiem Leakers Deserve "A Thousand Deaths", Says Hideki Kamiya
Re: Poll: Will You Be Getting Pokémon FireRed Or LeafGreen On Switch?
Already got a Japanese copy of FireRed, maybe later I'll get also LeafGreen - not only it's the game I had as a kid, but also it's the one that makes the most sense to play on my channel (makes more sense to teach 赤 aka "red" before 緑 midori "green" and also considering the slightly more exclusives than LeafGreen when excluding the Pokémon we've already seen by playing Pokémon Snap)!
Re: Poll: What's Your Favourite Gen 9 Pokémon?
This time as well I'm going for a Pokémon that I of course like in itself and its appearances first and foremost, but also representative of a distinctive feature of the gen and of course for this one it's Terastal - considering all that I'm going for Ogerpon... and let's be honest, it also helps that I love Kitakami and its Japanese cultural elements!
Re: Mailbox: A Good Switch 2 Console Pairing, Fun With Strangers, Sterility - Nintendo Life Letters
Here are my comments to the main letters as usual:
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl: Duel - The Legend Of Zelda: Link's Awakening
Japan without a doubt as it shows the characters and setting of the game (also a fan of its aesthetic in general and in particular the logo in the shape of the island for the part of the title specific to this game, it's such a nice touch) - North America/Europe is only good at showing that it's a Zelda game in general which makes even less sense for Link's Awakening considering that it's atypical in several ways!
Re: Gallery: Here's A Look At Pokémon FireRed And LeafGreen On Switch
Again, nobody is forcing anyone to buy anything and no matter the reason why you're not buying something, you're not entitled to make false accusations by saying exaggerations - so glad others have already addressed that...
Leaving that aside, absolutely looking forward to replaying FireRed myself, this time in Japanese for my channel (most likely as soon as I finish Super Mario Advance 2)!
Re: Final Fantasy VII Remake Places Second In January 2026 Nintendo Charts (US)
Love to see FF7 Remake debuting in 2nd on the Nintendo charts (and so also going back to 9th on the general ones, lol that it was in 225th before)!
Re: Video: Capcom Releases New Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection Trailer
Love what they've shown in this trailer (not watching the Developer Walkthrough since it's extensive footage) and before - so looking forward to playing this game myself at some point although not anytime soon since I'd like to finally play the previous ones first and foremost also considering that I already have them!
Re: Poll: What's Your Favourite Gen 8 Pokémon?
Yet again other than the usual and fundamental me liking the Pokémon, its appearances etc. I'm considering the distinctive feature of this gen so Dynamax, in particular Gigantamax - based on that I'm going for Alcremie and as an additional factor there's also the funny (in more senses than one) evolution method and variants!
Re: Nintendo Seemingly Rules Out Virtual Console Revival, Says It Remains Focused On Offering Classics Via Switch Online
Re: Video: Pokémon Shares Side-By-Side FireRed And LeafGreen Opening Theme
@Neiltendo64 Glad to have been of help - hope both you and your son enjoy these games!
Re: Nintendo Seemingly Rules Out Virtual Console Revival, Says It Remains Focused On Offering Classics Via Switch Online
Re: Nintendo Seemingly Rules Out Virtual Console Revival, Says It Remains Focused On Offering Classics Via Switch Online
Re: Anniversary: The Legend Of Zelda Turns 40 Today - How Did You First Play It?
Re: "Please Don't Post Or Share Pre-Release Leaks And Spoilers" - Capcom Sets Its Sights On Resident Evil Requiem Leakers
Re: Nintendo Seemingly Rules Out Virtual Console Revival, Says It Remains Focused On Offering Classics Via Switch Online
@AlanShore I don't get this obsession with the starting prices when you can officially - Nintendo themselves allow it at least so far - get the exact same product (you're not splitting also that unlike food etc.) by sharing a family subscription in the case of NSO, looking/waiting for discounts on games and so on...
Re: Video: Pokémon Shares Side-By-Side FireRed And LeafGreen Opening Theme
@Neiltendo64 How about getting one version in French for you and the other one in English for your son?
You'd pay twice for them, but at least you'd have both versions and so access to all the exclusive Pokémon by trading them assuming you have two Switches - luckily there are no limitations to it in the gen 3 games, the only downside being the names of the traded Pokémon as you can see here (and that luckily can be countered by giving them nicknames yourself)!
