Could be that some including Konami are just holding back info for the Direct and especially if they have to announce a Switch 2 version, but even if that's not the case I'd say better late than never and I'd rather them take their time to release the Switch version in a better state from the get-go instead of rushing it just for the sake of a day-and-date release - anyway, looks great, looking forward to it whenever it comes to Switch (at this point I might start with this one and then go back to past Castlevania games after)!
Yep, glad they've finally shown this - need to see more, but I'm interested and I overall like what they've shown so more likely than not I'll get it (would be great if Sega also rereleased more their older games including Crazy Taxi ones)!
And of course I'm interested even just considering the setting although it looks pretty good in general - looking forward to seeing and hearing more about it and then most likely getting it whenever it comes out next year (would be great if they eventually ported the first game, too)!
So glad to see Spyro back with a new game and it coming also to Switch 2 - absolutely looking forward to it whenever it comes out (I really should play the remake trilogy in the meantime, so far I've only played past Spyro games on Nintendo system starting with Enter the Dragonfly which I had as a kid and then the GBA ones on emulator)!
All great if not better games this month - haven't played any of them yet, but most likely my favorite will end up being Mina the Hollower (so glad the only potential downside for me which is difficulty shouldn't be an issue thanks to wealth of options included)!
@h3s It was still $50 etc. more compared to Switch 2 on its own - why would people, again even beyond launch and so after all the complaining about World on the internet, spend more for a game that they think they won't overall like?
Couldn't agree more and let me add that exactly considering how much 8 Deluxe sold and it also being available on Switch 2 it only makes sense for World to be different and personally I'd say overall great in its own, distinct way (and clearly despite the loud online complaining the silent majority also overall likes the game because otherwise it wouldn't have kept on selling beyond launch to the point that it currently has a 74% attach rate thanks to its 14.7 millions sales compared to 19.86 millions Switch 2 systems and so be its best seller by a great margin) - in addition, this is just the beginning for this game unlike 8 Deluxe which benefitted from being a Wii U rerelease and eventually the Booster Course Pass so why not just wait and see how World ends up being after getting DLC, too?
I should play Tangle Tower first and foremost (already knew about that and also their other games, but haven't got around to doing so yet), but glad this is coming to Switch 1 and 2 relatively soon!
Looks pretty cool so I'm even happier that it's coming also to Switch 2 - fingers crossed for the best, but I'm definitely interested in it myself (and yes, I also really hope we'll eventually get native ports of Kingdom Hearts games on Switch 2 instead of exclusively cloud versions)!
Yet another reason for me to play these games when I can - glad they'll be available also as free upgrades (and proper ones if they're actually called Switch 2 Editions, but we'll see) and looking forward to the reveal of this dev's next game!
Great that even Blasphemous 2 is getting DLC (so many announcements of that kind today) and even more so since it's free and out now - happy for those interested in it!
Oh wow that's a lot of additional news beyond the "Wet Update", love to hear about the Switch 2 version in particular (and I straight up didn't expect a Japanese subsidiary, nice) - looking forward to playing Vampire Survivors when I can even more than I was!
Didn't expect the next Digital Eclipse retro collection to be a Barbie one but sure, the more older games coming to contemporary platforms (and of course for me personally Switch 1 and/or 2) the better - not gonna lie, I'm kind of curious about it myself so I might get it and also potentially for my niece... and yes, it seems that apart from difficult if not practically impossible licenses etc. any collection might happen at some point!
Didn't see a Star Trek game by Bloober coming, pretty cool and also nice that they announced DLC for Cronos - happy for those interested in any of those (not me included considering the genre and when it comes to Star Trek I'd rather play Across the Unknown first and foremost)!
@EarthboundBenjy Thanks for the warning, I'll keep it in mind - I'd rather play it on Switch anyway myself, but glad to hear that about the GOG version (knew it existed, but not the other details)!
North America for sure since it has an actual background and action other than of course being a homage to the Rayman 2 original art as mentioned also by the article (I'd say that one is better, though) - speaking of, I unfortunately missed both the N64 version and this one so I'm really glad the former has finally come to NSO, looking forward to playing it when I can!
Nice to see the continuation of that article and good job with those correct predictions - as for the anomalies, Mario's absence isn't particularly weird to me considering all the reasons mentioned along with so many spin-offs and even more so Bananza (while a DK game it's clearly also Odyssey's counterpart) while the other "misses" show how much Nintendo can be unpredictable as much as even them obviously have some trends...
Anyway, looking forward to seeing what games we end up getting during Year Two first and foremost in themselves of course, but also to then look back on those predictions again!
Glad that for now the Switch 2 release period has been reconfirmed (looking forward to that version myself whenever it comes) - also nice "year one content" additions and happy that First Light has already sold so much!
As usual I hope it will be a proper, separate upgrade pack instead of other ways (although in this case I don't think this came out physically so at least that shouldn't be a problem unlike for Stray etc.) - regardless, good to hear it's getting an upgrade in the first place and I'll consider playing this on Switch 2 myself although not anytime soon as even just when it comes to games by IO Interactive World of Assassination which I already have and 007 First Light which I've preordered come first!
Glad you got to try this Damien and thanks for the hands on - overall even more intrigued by it considering its peculiarities (that said, when it comes to Mario Kart I definitely prefer later entries despite Super Mario Kart being the first one I played thanks to my older siblings)!
Glad this is now officially confirmed and also for Switch 2 - fingers crossed the previous remakes eventually (even better if sooner rather than later, maybe at least one or two if not another collection pack before/when this comes out?) come to Switch 2, too!
Didn't expect to hear Japanese in this trailer, interesting - anyway, so glad they've shown more of this and that it's now confirmed also for Switch 2 for those interested in it (not me included considering the genre, but still)!
Nice that another Hot Wheels game is coming also to Switch 2 and even more so since it looks quite promising as already mentioned here - will definitely consider giving this (and/or the Unleashed ones luckily also on the system) a try myself at some point!
Looks pretty cool and I quite appreciate the wealth of ways to play (single and multiplayer, co-op and competitive etc.) - definitely interested in giving this at least a try myself at some point!
Love to hear that Cuphead is getting not one, but two new games - as much as of course the main course will be the hand-animated one, Mighty Cuphead Adventure looks great in its own way (I'll give them all at least a try at some point although I'm not sure how much progress I'll be able to make into them considering the difficulty of the original)!
Glad the Switch 2 version has finally been announced officially other than of course the new expansion for those interested in it - not me included as mainline Monster Hunter isn't my cup of tea based on what I've played of it, but still (I'm looking forward to starting Stories when I can, though)!
Wouldn't mind giving the Attack on Titan games on Switch a try, but I should properly read or watch the series first (I've partially checked out the TV anime and movies so far) - anyway, glad to hear this is coming also to Switch 2 for those interested in it!
Didn't see those coming as Season Pass 2 paid DLC packs, especially Evangelion, but I absolutely welcome them (also nice the Pico Park collab) - in the meantime looking forward to the closer TMNT and Avatar packs and most likely also more free DLCs whenever they come!
Unfortunate, but it makes sense if he was straight up unable to participate and wish the best to Travis as the new English VA (of course doesn't matter to me personally since I'll play with the Japanese voices, but still) - by the way, nice that Maximillian Dood got to speak with Hamaguchi-san!
Love to see Tifa coming to Street Fighter 6, absolutely looking forward to her (also the other characters although to a lesser extent in comparison and yes, including Bosch who I didn't mind so far) - as usual first and foremost as a Master in World Tour since new fighters are added to that for free!
Tonight I'm not seeing my friends so I'll just continue with my schedule:
Fitness Boxing (FotNS, did a battle; 3 did all Box-and-Bond for Lin);
Ring Fit Adventure (didn't play it; 9 Worlds completed and 4 finished);
GameCenter CX (continued the 8th game, think I'm getting close to finishing it);
Freedom Planet 2 (didn't play it; Story as Lilac and Carol - 25/63 Badges);
Dragon Quest III (continued grinding to defeat that in even less turns - got the final classes for all my party members; game finished, all Medals, Monsters, Dungeons and Arenas);
Xenoblade Chronicles X (did a normal mission and many basic ones; 7/?? Chapters, 26/?? Affinity, 65/?? Normal, 81/?? Basic Missions and 64/?? Heart-to-Hearts - Mira 32.34% - 109/204 Story, 49/315 Combat and 79/222 World Achievements);
Guardians of Azuma (went around a new island and a previous area - also did many bonding quests; all Main, 192/?? Bonding Quests - 106/?? Bestiary - 16/45 PescaPedia - all Kamiwaza, 32/36 Quests, 5/6 Battles, 2/16 Bonds and 6/8 Everyday Life Seals);
Fantasy Life i (did many requests, Life quests and so ranked up the Miner Life; all Chapters - Lives 6 Master and 8 Expert Rank - 95 Personal Requests - all Strangelings, 105/148 Monsters, 89/138 Resources, 49/50 Characters);
Mario Kart World (did a Knockout Tour; Mirror Three Stars all GPs, 2 KT - 26 Panels, 64 Switches and 15 Medallions in Free Roam - all Vehicles, 117 Characters and 303 Stickers);
Soul Calibur II (did Arcade as 2 characters; Arcade as 10 characters - Weapon Master completed);
Street Fighter 6 (continued KO Festival in World Tour, unlocked both Masters; World Tour 11 Chapters and 33 Sidequests);
Yakuza 0 (finished Chapter 16 and barely started the final one; 16 Chapters - 37.43% Completion, 32/79 Adventure, 41/84 Battle, 45/99 Business, 10/27 Substories, 12/85 Minigames);
Bananza (completed SL 1000 - also continued Emerald Rush; game finished, 10 layers completed - 692/777 Banandium Gems, 620/696 Fossils, 110/117 Discs - VoidCo 15 Rewards);
Age of Imprisonment (did 3 aside quests - also did many quests; all Chapters and Battles, 114 Aside Quests and 247 Quests);
Persona 3 Reload (up to 6/6 not included; 4 Charm and Courage, 3 Academics - 1 Rank 6, 2 Rank 5, 1 Rank 4, 5 Rank 3, 2 Rank 1 Social Links - 17% Compendium - 18 Elizabeth's Requests);
Trails in the Sky 1st (went around the shore, advanced the story and so arrived at the stronghold; Junior Rank 6 8/50, 20/?? Requests - Rewards 46/??, Achievements 6/43 - Recipe Standard 1/28 and Specialty 1/30);
Tennis Fever (continued the Adventure and did the 2nd Tower; 1/5 Medals - all Courts, 14/20 Characters, 5/20 Colors, 22/24 Rackets, 4/7 Movies);
Ha ha, so after all others and I guessed the name correctly - anyway, looks fantastic, so looking forward to it (really have to start Remake as soon as possible now that this has a release date and it's less than a year away)!
Wow that's a lot of additions for a single update (lol that trailer) - happy for those playing Vampire Survivors and yet more reasons for me to finally do so myself when I can!
Waiting for confirmation about this footage (it does look good though) but still, really glad they took their time with the Switch 2 port so that it's better from the get-go - anyway, looking forward to finally giving the game a try thanks to this version!
Didn't know about this sale, happy for those in North America going for any indie games thanks to it - love to see UFO 50 included (that for sure since I've checked it and maybe also other games are currently discounted here in Italy and so most likely Europe in general, too)!
10 - Outstanding and I'm Ecstatic, the only reason why I was considering voting slightly less is because this is just the beginning - I've been enjoying Switch 2 in itself and the games on it, both those on it specifically and Switch ones thanks to backward compatibility, so much from the start and the positives vastly outweigh the negatives for me...
Speaking of I'm sorry, but while there are some objective negatives the controversies have been overblown (unfortunately also intentionally because negativity sales, by those straight up against Nintendo etc.) and I want to call out one in particular this time, the supposed "lack of games" as it's disproven by this very article and by the way, here's the Switch Year One for comparison!
Had no doubt these would sell like crazy (and not just because of scalpers), fingers crossed for restocks, indeed - if I could somehow find them also here in Italy I'd definitely consider at least one of them myself, this Pikachu is so cute other than of course nostalgic!
The more options the better so that everyone can pick their preferred one (in my case it would most likely be performance as usual if I played this) - still not interested in this myself, but really happy for those who are!
Had no doubt James Bond would return even without the statement and "spoiler" but still, good to hear - looking forward to seeing what they'll come up with next (would be great if they also rereleased some older games although I have doubts as well for the reasons already mentioned here), but first and foremost playing First Light myself whenever it comes to Switch 2!
Yep, have seen them on the Nintendo Life forums and I'm not surprised by the takedowns as they certainly look like the real deal - considering all the things mentioned in the article, fingers crossed they'll at least announce Persona 6 sooner rather than later (and hopefully also confirm 4 Revival for Switch 2, too)!
Had heard that this game is packed with stuff, but wow I didn't expect it to be to such an extent - looking forward to playing it myself even more than I already was when I can (and yes, I will consult "a friend" i.e. what others on the internet mentioned if needed for some secrets)!
I'd say we should wait and see how much Switch 2 sells in the following weeks, it's not the first time it sold under 50k (during the 20th - 26th April week and the one before that for example, 45 and 44k respectively) and of course there would be a decrease in sales immediately after the price increase - not to mention that even with that it keeps on selling way, way more than any other system in Japan...
Anyway, personally happy to see Tomodachi Life still on top, First Light debuting in 2nd, Pokopia in 3rd, Yoshi in 4th, World in 6th and Jamboree in 10th!
Yep, have seen the in-game announcement - definitely giving it a try (have doubts I'll unlock both statues this time, but still) when I play Bananza as part of my gaming schedule next week!
Happy for those playing Hades 2 on Switch 1 and/or 2 - looking forward to doing so myself at some point (after having played the original first, only watched my friends playing some of that so far)!
As usual didn't mind this getting delayed so that it would be better from the get-go (and based on previews it certainly improved, look at the first related article for example), but at the same time I'm so glad it now has a precise release date - definitely getting it to finally give Elden Ring at least a try myself!
My copy of Rebirth arrived earlier today, I'll most likely get eFootball and RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic at some point, maybe also River City Saga (waiting to hear more about this one specifically) and Stray (if only had it been an actual upgrade and so available also for those who have the physical Switch version like me) and that should be it unless I missed something - luckily when that happens others' comments come to the rescue!
@spiderman0616 The basic case as well (also because it was the only one available at launch here in Italy) and yep, I overall quite like it, too - would've preferred more spots for carts especially since I was used to more of them in my case for the Switch, but 6 is still nothing to sneeze at!
Practically still box fresh which makes sense considering that I've put on a screen protector from the start, I've been using it mostly at home both in docked and handheld and I got the official case for the times I bring it somewhere (usually to a friend's house, but also on vacation) - anyway, man have I been enjoying Switch 2!
While I can see where the criticism about this game comes from and even agree to an extent that has been said also about Banjo-Tooie and yet I've always overall (emphasis on that because certain things just suck, Canary Mary to make the most infamous example) loved it - in fact, I quite enjoyed the little I got to play of this myself on emulator before encountering issues preventing me from progressing back in the day so I'm really glad it's now also on NSO to properly play it when I can!

Re: Castlevania: Belmont's Curse Gets A Release Date, But Not On Switch
Could be that some including Konami are just holding back info for the Direct and especially if they have to announce a Switch 2 version, but even if that's not the case I'd say better late than never and I'd rather them take their time to release the Switch version in a better state from the get-go instead of rushing it just for the sake of a day-and-date release - anyway, looks great, looking forward to it whenever it comes to Switch (at this point I might start with this one and then go back to past Castlevania games after)!

Re: Japanese Charts: Switch Sales Plummet As Price Increase Comes Into Play
I'd say we should wait and see how much Switch 2 sells in the following weeks, it's not the first time it sold under 50k (during the 20th - 26th April week and the one before that for example, 45 and 44k respectively) and of course there would be a decrease in sales immediately after the price increase - not to mention that even with that it keeps on selling way, way more than any other system in Japan...
Anyway, personally happy to see Tomodachi Life still on top, First Light debuting in 2nd, Pokopia in 3rd, Yoshi in 4th, World in 6th and Jamboree in 10th!
Re: Donkey Kong Bananza's Next DLC Event Begins Next Week
Yep, have seen the in-game announcement - definitely giving it a try (have doubts I'll unlock both statues this time, but still) when I play Bananza as part of my gaming schedule next week!
Re: Hades 2's Next Update Launches On Switch 1 & 2 Soon, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
Happy for those playing Hades 2 on Switch 1 and/or 2 - looking forward to doing so myself at some point (after having played the original first, only watched my friends playing some of that so far)!
Re: Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition Will Finally Rise On Switch 2 This August
As usual didn't mind this getting delayed so that it would be better from the get-go (and based on previews it certainly improved, look at the first related article for example), but at the same time I'm so glad it now has a precise release date - definitely getting it to finally give Elden Ring at least a try myself!
Re: Nintendo Download: 4th June (North America)
My copy of Rebirth arrived earlier today, I'll most likely get eFootball and RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic at some point, maybe also River City Saga (waiting to hear more about this one specifically) and Stray (if only had it been an actual upgrade and so available also for those who have the physical Switch version like me) and that should be it unless I missed something - luckily when that happens others' comments come to the rescue!
Re: Talking Point: One Year On, How Pristine Is Your Switch 2?
@spiderman0616 The basic case as well (also because it was the only one available at launch here in Italy) and yep, I overall quite like it, too - would've preferred more spots for carts especially since I was used to more of them in my case for the Switch, but 6 is still nothing to sneeze at!
Re: Talking Point: One Year On, How Pristine Is Your Switch 2?
Practically still box fresh which makes sense considering that I've put on a screen protector from the start, I've been using it mostly at home both in docked and handheld and I got the official case for the times I bring it somewhere (usually to a friend's house, but also on vacation) - anyway, man have I been enjoying Switch 2!
Re: Review: Donkey Kong 64 - Kicks Some Serious Tail, But Goes Too Far
While I can see where the criticism about this game comes from and even agree to an extent that has been said also about Banjo-Tooie and yet I've always overall (emphasis on that because certain things just suck, Canary Mary to make the most infamous example) loved it - in fact, I quite enjoyed the little I got to play of this myself on emulator before encountering issues preventing me from progressing back in the day so I'm really glad it's now also on NSO to properly play it when I can!
