Pretty cool being able to relocate Pokémon Centers even during events (and of course the bug fixes are welcome as usual, too) - looking forward to playing more Pokopia tonight as part of my gaming schedule!
Downloading the update (don't think I've encountered any issues myself but still, better safe than sorry) and getting the new wave of icons immediately - anyway, I've been enjoying Living the Dream so much!
Nice to get all this music and even more so as a free addition - downloading it immediately and I'm so looking forward to playing this collection when I can (will try to do so sooner rather than later also considering that I'd like to see the differences between the games and the anime which I've been watching on Capcom's YouTube channel)!
@MyUsernameWasTaken Thank you so much - also for your appreciation of my comments in general, but especially the ones about Japanese language and culture (that in particular and languages in general are another big passion of mine along with of course videogames, in fact I got a bachelor's in English and Japanese and a master's in the latter) -, glad to be of help!
@Bluelink45 Should've specified human effort and so results, because what I heavily disagree with the critics is that these and other movies should be judged exclusively based on their stories - I guess it's because I'm a big videogame fan and those are even more complex audiovisual products, but just like I definitely wouldn't say a game is overall bad (again, we're talking about so many really low scores) just because of a single aspect while disregarding most if not everything else I refuse to do the same for movies!
So glad to hear these games are getting Switch 2 Editions - looking forward to finally playing them myself (especially Lorelei and the Laser Eyes) when I can even more than I already was!
By the way, considering the Japanese price the upgrades might be straight up free outside of Japan just like in the case of Vampire Crawlers, Deltarune etc.!
Glad most enjoyed what they've played of this and even found it intriguing so far - definitely playing it myself as soon as I can (preordered it, hopefully I'll be able to start it as soon as my copy arrives)!
Thanks for the review, will consider giving this at least a try at some point (not sure if it will be for me considering how brutal it can be, but still) - regardless, glad the new Acclaim published such a game, fingers crossed they'll keep at it!
I'm all for it and even more so if they figure out a fun way to integrate it in a future Mario game (other than it being a nice extra background element afterwards) - regardless, looking forward to seeing what they come up with next, both for the games and movies!
Looking forward to precise numbers from the sources citing them (so for sure the Japanese charts and eventually Nintendo's financial results) but still, love to hear this - again, not surprised by its success considering how much the previous games sold, how popular this one has been on socials etc., but I'm so happy for it in general and also personally being one of the many Living the Dream!
The 'controversial' term here in the original is 盛り上げる moriageru which actually means "to pile/heap up", but by extension "to stir up/enliven/bring to a climax" and in this context the meaning is clearly the latter, certainly not "to champion" ("energize", the first translation of the exact same term, is more accurate)...
Personally, I couldn't agree more with Miyamoto-san: it's baffling the amount of negativity about these movies - to the point that 'critics' even claimed that this one is "actually worse than AI" etc. - despite the human effort put into them and that they certainly stirred up/enlivened the movie industry considering their success with the public!
Glad this has finally been properly announced - absolutely hope it comes also to Switch 1 and/or 2, if it does I'm getting it for sure (even more so now that we know about all those contents in it)!
Thought it had the potential of being like this based on what we've seen in the trailers so far, but thanks for the further confirmation and glad you got to play it, Jim (by the way, the bee-like creature interaction with a previous level reminds me of Yooka Laylee and The Impossible Lair or Wario Land 3) - looking forward to this game even more than I already was!
Eventually got a copy, but haven't played it yet (only watched others playing a good part of the game so far) - a brand new Star Fox should come first and foremost, but I definitely wouldn't say no to a more convenient way to play Zero at some point!
The starting price of Ratatan on Steam is $25 so assuming it will more or less cost the same digitally on Switch 2 there's an around $15 increase for the fully physical version which is what makes it feasible (unfortunately some keep on disregarding the costs of making and releasing games which by the way is the reason why the Switch version got cancelled) for games with a lower cost and so starting price like this one while don't be surprised if publishers don't go for it for games that cost more and so with a higher digital price, especially after all the complaining ever since the start of the Switch 2 about starting prices and even more so those of fully physical games like Nintendo's...
Leaving that aside, love to hear that it's getting such a physical release - I'm getting a digital copy as I've supported it on Kickstarter, but I'll still consider getting this physically myself, maybe even at launch!
Got it yesterday and yes, luckily it's one of those games that lets you get the Switch 2 version for free (or a small, required fee in Japan) after purchasing the Switch one - looking forward to giving it a try at some point, but only after finally playing Survivors first and foremost!
Love to hear it and even more so since it doesn't include Japan as it's coming out there this week as mentioned also by the article (by the way, once more I quite appreciate the data per region, too bad Italy isn't included this time) - have seen and personally enjoyed it even more than the first one since it addressed most of the issues I had with that like its length, Luigi's role etc. and I'm so looking forward to the third one whenever it comes, most likely in another three years more or less!
In addition to it being only the release date trailer as already mentioned here, it's the start of the game (they straight up showed the character creation) so I have no doubts there's much more to Raiders - considering that, what we've seen is quite promising and most certainly a day one purchase for me, so looking forward to properly playing Splatoon games at last as in mostly if not exclusively their single-player contents starting with this one!
Getting it physically as usual, but even more so considering the box art (looks great) and file size - so looking forward to both Raiders and Groove this July!
Thanks for the review, would be great if such quality-of-life improvements could be added at least through a patch at some point (auto-save doesn't particularly matter to me as I prefer manually saving, but of course the more options the better) - that said, still looking forward to playing this game even as is along with other Ys ones whenever I finally start this series myself!
Nabbing them for sure, maybe even at launch - so looking forward to both these and Raiders in general (the latter I'm definitely preordering as soon as I can)!
Interesting, so we're getting two Nintendo games in July (of course one on Switch 1 and the other on 2, but still) - anyway, looking forward to watching the trailer as soon as it becomes available also on YouTube and so also added to this article!
... As soon as I refreshed the page here it is, immediately watching it!
... Back after watching it and yep, it was awesome indeed - more and more inclined to properly start playing the Splatoon games (as in their single-player contents mostly if not exclusively) with this one!
9 - Excellent, I agree with the review by Damien of the 3DS game here on Nintendo Life giving it a great and this one overall improves on that, especially when it comes to customization - as already mentioned here, with some additions it could straight up be a 10 (and for me personally I'd say it is even as is, I'm enjoying it so much), would love to see that happen!
Interesting, looking forward to seeing which games they end up publishing, both original ones at first and most likely eventually ones based on their IPs as well - fingers crossed they'll indeed expand into consoles (of course personally Switch 1 and/or 2 specifically) sooner rather than later!
Fingers crossed for official confirmation of it coming also to Switch 2 for those interested in it (me included although I'll most likely play Shadows first and foremost) - a day-and-date release would be great, but at the same time I'd rather them not rush that version!
Looks great, glad you got to visit it Jim (of course happy for others who'll be able to go there, too) - we've seen so many pop-up stores in the UK at this point that it's baffling that a permanent Nintendo store hasn't happened yet!
Thanks for the review, too bad to hear about the issues of the Switch version as that would've been my preferred way to give this a try (hopefully it can be improved through patches at least) - that said, glad to have supported ZPF in general on Kickstarter as the game itself does seem overall good if not better!
Happy 20th anniversary Ōkami, lovely message to celebrate it from Kamiya-san and products - so looking forward to the sequel whenever it's ready assuming it comes also to Switch 2 although yeah, I'be surprised if it didn't, too (in the meantime I should play the original myself when I can, have only watched others playing it so far)!
So glad Overwatch has a Switch 2 version now as good as the Switch one was considering the limitations as already mentioned by others here - looking forward to experiencing it myself whenever I play this again together with my friends (doubt soon considering that funnily enough we played it practically right before this version came out, but still)!
Love to hear that Argonaut Games are bringing back Buck Bumble next - absolutely interested in its revival in general and also personally to finally play it myself (just like Croc when I have the time for it), unfortunately missed the original back in the day!
Looking forward to seeing and hearing more about this game, if it's fun then I'll get it myself - that said, first and foremost I should finally play Island Adventure considering that I already have it and also that it's confirmed to be great (thanks to the articles and comments here on Nintendo Life about that)!
Yep, most likely those already announced games will eventually be added to the Switch 2 section, but even leaving those aside for sure they'll bring more games to the system at some point - looking forward to the former first and foremost (fingers crossed there will be upgrades for those who already have the Switch versions, me included when it comes to Epic Mickey), but also curious about the latter whenever they're ready and of course also the Switch games!
At first I thought they were Pop Up Parade figures, but when I saw them fully I realized that they're that other series of Fire Emblem ones by Good Smile (makes sense since apparently the former is limited to Three Houses at least for now while the latter has main characters from various series) - anyway, they look so good, happy for those going for them although personally I'l stick to the former series!
So glad this is usually the case when it comes to Nintendo games for the sake of its creators - anyway, absolutely living the dream playing this game even as is although I definitely wouldn't say no to additional contents in the future (my guess would be new clothes, items etc. at the very least if that happens in the first place, but we'll see)!
I mean, the delay of a single port certainly shouldn't delay anything else about an IP in general and specifically about Elden Ring the Switch 2 version will undoubtedly come out way sooner than the movie anyway - leaving that aside, nice that this got announced although personally I'm looking forward to finally giving the game a try myself whenever it comes to Switch 2 first and foremost!
Thanks for the review, even more curious to give Crawlers a try at some point - that said and also considering what's mentioned about the combo formulas, I'll play this only after having finally played Surivors, doing that most likely several bugs will have been fixed by then as well (I'll probably get it sooner rather anyway just like I did for the original game considering its low starting price and to support the creators)!
Love to hear it (and absolutely deserved based on what I've seen, heard of it and also played when it comes to the demo), fingers crossed it keeps on selling for both its creators and those interested in playing it - so looking forward to doing so myself as soon as I have the time for it!
Not particularly surprised that Tomodachi Life is on top (again, it's far from not popular at least globally considering how much previous games sold) and Pragmata in 2nd but still, love to see it!
Also personally happy for Requiem in 3rd, Elden Ring way higher in 5th (bet it was on sale), Pokopia in 6th, the Galaxy bundle in 8th, World in 9th, Armored Core VI back to the charts in 10th, Legends Z-A in 11th, The Witcher III way higher in 13th, Cosmic Invasion debuting in 14th (and selling the most on Switch 1 and 2 combined), Wonder in 16th, New Horizons in 17th, Bananza in 18th, 8 Deluxe in 20th etc.!
Funnily enough right-handed Link would make sense with an overall (leaving the cape and most likely future details aside) Twilight Princess aesthetic - anyway, pretty cool and in particular the patch, absolutely love that!
By the way, as much as what others here said is certainly true it's worth mentioning that when it comes to other aspects Bandai Namco have been better than other companies on Switch 2 so far - the one that immediately came to mind is upgrades, not always (Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac and Little Nightmares being the exceptions) but most of their games on both Switch 1 and 2 got them, even Time Stranger which isn't out yet is getting one while that definitely can't be said about other companies, looking at you Square Enix and Sega in particular...
Pretty cool both of them (the former seems quite appropriate as the final DLC while the latter is straight up a new game) - most likely that will be the case but still, fingers crossed Xenoverse 3 eventually comes to Switch 2, too!
Here are my comments about the main letters as usual:
nice Nintendo facts about hippos (knew most of them while a couple were new, the one hippo villager in Wild World in particular is quite the surprise) - I would love a Hoppo amiibo, too!
yep, hadn't it been for the Wii U the Switch wouldn't have existed (and not just when it comes to the remasters) so even just for that I'm so grateful for it - that said, personally I loved it back in the day and I really hope even more of its games will eventually come to Switch 1 and 2;
definitely made more songs than photo shoots in those respective games - speaking of Tomodachi Life, I'm enjoy Living the Dream so much (in fact, I'm playing it way too often although usually in shorter sessions in addition to my regular gaming schedule);
I'm here for the articles first and foremost, but I absolutely appreciate the puns as well!
Europe for me as it has almost all the elements present in the other ones - only Anton is missing - while putting them inside the titular Pandora's/Diabolical (the latter is practically the same as the Japanese title) Box, not to mention that it looks really classy... which also goes well with the Molentary Express etc.!
Happy 30th anniversary Metal Slug, quite enjoyed what I've played of this series in arcades back in the day - so looking forward to seeing what this "new mission" ends up being (in the meantime I should play more of the games already on Switch when I can)!
"It’s impossible for us to sustain the team size that we’ve carried this past year, even after our downsizing from last year" so yeah, as already mentioned here in this case it's mostly due to the excessive hiring during Covid and is also why "hiring fewer new staff"like they're doing in Japan (in good part thanks to Japanese employment law, but not exclusively and speaking of, as a comment to that article pointed out Iwata-san cutting his salary was not the only solution Nintendo could've gone for during the Wii U era and "is practically unheard of even by Japanese corporate standards") is way more sensible first and foremost and luckily also ethical than the mass layoffs most in the West are unfortunately going for - anyway, wish the best to those affected by this!
Nice list of games, several I've heard great things of also before while others are new to me (will consider adding at least some of the latter to my Deku Deals wishlist when I can) - thank you all for the recommendations!
Already quite appreciated the song as a Bond theme and in itself as mentioned in my previous comment, but even more so after watching the title sequence - can't wait to see and hear how this game is in general next month (guess there will be articles about it also here on Nintendo Life despite the delay of the Switch 2 version)!

Re: Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream Is Reportedly The Best Physical Launch Of 2026 In France

Re: Talking Point: Star Fox Zero Is 10 Years Old - Have You Actually Played It?

Re: Ratatan Is Getting A Proper Physical Release On Switch 2, Pre-Orders Live

Pretty cool both of them (the former seems quite appropriate as the final DLC while the latter is straight up a new game) - most likely that will be the case but still, fingers crossed Xenoverse 3 eventually comes to Switch 2, too!
Re: Mailbox: The Wii U's Legacy, Mii Singing, Hippos - Nintendo Life Letters
Here are my comments about the main letters as usual:
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl: Professor Layton And Pandora's Box
Europe for me as it has almost all the elements present in the other ones - only Anton is missing - while putting them inside the titular Pandora's/Diabolical (the latter is practically the same as the Japanese title) Box, not to mention that it looks really classy... which also goes well with the Molentary Express etc.!
Re: "A New Mission Awaits" - SNK Celebrates 30 Years Of Metal Slug, Teases Exciting Future
Happy 30th anniversary Metal Slug, quite enjoyed what I've played of this series in arcades back in the day - so looking forward to seeing what this "new mission" ends up being (in the meantime I should play more of the games already on Switch when I can)!
Re: Metroid Prime Remastered Studio 'Iron Galaxy' Announces More Layoffs
"It’s impossible for us to sustain the team size that we’ve carried this past year, even after our downsizing from last year" so yeah, as already mentioned here in this case it's mostly due to the excessive hiring during Covid and is also why "hiring fewer new staff" like they're doing in Japan (in good part thanks to Japanese employment law, but not exclusively and speaking of, as a comment to that article pointed out Iwata-san cutting his salary was not the only solution Nintendo could've gone for during the Wii U era and "is practically unheard of even by Japanese corporate standards") is way more sensible first and foremost and luckily also ethical than the mass layoffs most in the West are unfortunately going for - anyway, wish the best to those affected by this!
Re: Community: 31 Switch Games We Missed, As Recommended By You
Nice list of games, several I've heard great things of also before while others are new to me (will consider adding at least some of the latter to my Deku Deals wishlist when I can) - thank you all for the recommendations!
Re: Lana Del Rey Releases 007 First Light Official Theme Song
Already quite appreciated the song as a Bond theme and in itself as mentioned in my previous comment, but even more so after watching the title sequence - can't wait to see and hear how this game is in general next month (guess there will be articles about it also here on Nintendo Life despite the delay of the Switch 2 version)!
