Nice to see Drag x Drive still getting updates and even more so since such additions are included other than the expected bug fixes (certainly didn't expect them turning the Global Jam into a regular demo, but it's absolutely welcome) - happy for those playing it, might play it some more myself at some point for my channel!
There are a couple of imprecisions, Olimar isn't sending letters home in the first game (funnily enough mails from other characters to him are in the second game), he's writing his voyage log and of course there's more to the storyline of Pikmin 2 than that - regardless, glad to hear the first Pikmin meant so much to Cerny!
Didn't watch the comparison fully, but based on what I've seen it's a great improvement as expected - have just downloaded it myself (so glad that it's a separate upgrade on the eShop and so you can get it no matter if you have the base game physically like in my case or digitally), looking forward to finally giving Red Dead Redemption a try myself even more than I already was!
@metaphysician I was referring to the reporting itself first and foremost but yeah, definitely also in the sense that they should investigate, research and so on before doing that (honestly, to a lesser extent considering they don't have the same means even people should do that) - too bad that negativity sells in general and in particular the narrative you mentioned...
Couldn't agree more with "Miyamoto-san", Banjo-Tooie has always been also to me a "splendid game" overall (i.e. regardless of its shortcomings) - anyway, pretty cool that this happened and nice that Mayles has now shared it online!
Honestly, it looked overall perfectly fine even the last time we got to see some footage of it (and so at the very least docked), but man am I glad they delayed it to make it even better from the get-go - regardless, looking forward to giving Elden Ring a try myself whenever it comes out on Switch 2, my copy arrives and when I have the time for it!
Thanks for the review (and also second opinion, didn't expect that), overall looking forward to playing Cosmic Invasion even more than I already was when my copy arrives next year - if I have the time for it before that I'll finally play Shredder’s Revenge first, otherwise I'll play them in reverse!
Congratulations to the winners - hope those who took part in this and the viewers had fun (or will have fun in the case of those who'll watch it at a later point)!
If only people - and even more so journalists etc. - waited for actual evidence instead of jumping the gun in such cases... and while nobody is perfect and can make mistakes they could and should at the very least own those as Kamiya-san said last time (but of course way too many didn't and just deleted their posts)!
My Switch copy of NickToons has already arrived (didn't know there was a Switch 2 version, but it wasn't available here anyway), preordered Prime 4, Octopath, Terminator, Final Fantasy VII, Mortal Kombat, Yooka-Replaylee, Dragon Quest VII, Mario Tennis, Yakuza and Ys X mostly from my usual retailer here in Italy otherwise Amazon, will get the New Horizons upgrade as soon as it comes out, will eventually get AC Shadows, Dynasty Warrior, SpongeBob, Goodnight Universe and Trails for sure - hope others going for any of these games and/or accessories will enjoy them!
Thanks for the review, glad to hear that this is yet another overall impressive Switch 2 port by Ubisoft - looking forward to giving it a try myself when I can (will most likely wait for a discount also considering that I've just got Outlaws, but still)!
Nice, looking forward to giving it a try myself when I can - of course I should play the previous game first and foremost also considering that I already have it (a physical copy on Switch, hope I'll end up being among the majority that had few if no issues)!
Happy 8th anniversary Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and what a lovely artwork to celebrate it - looking forward to finally playing it myself after having finished X and then properly played 1 (of course would love Switch 2 upgrades for all of them, but I'll play them regardless)!
Based on what I've seen of the game I'd say Japan as the characters look the closest to how they are in game in addition to the big bad in the background as mentioned also by the article - that said, the American box art is pretty cool (the European one is the weakest one in every sense in my opinion)!
Funnily enough Super Mega Baseball 4 got fixed exactly before I ended up getting it as part of my Black Friday purchases on the eShop - anyway, good to see all these games getting fixes (in particular Nier of course), fingers crossed they keep on improving the backward compatibility like they've been doing!
Might still go for the Japanese version myself (now that I know it exists in the first place, have never even just heard of this art book before) - that said, great that it's now getting an English version!
Love to see Core Keeper getting a Switch 2 Edition and even more so considering the contents mentioned (and of course it being free is always appreciated as long as feasible which I presume and hope is the case) - looking forward to giving it a try myself when I can even more than I already was!
As much as I think Air Riders will be fine regardless (games of this kind are usually picked up and played regularly if less frequently than at launch of course by most) and while I appreciate Sakurai-san and co. putting in everything they could from the get-go yeah, this is the downside to no DLC - personally, I'll never say no to additional content as long as the base game is perfectly fine as is unlike others who skip or at least delay getting games exclusively due to the presence of DLC so how I wish that were the case also for Air Riders at least at some point even though it isn't currently in their plans!
Preordered a Switch physical copy from my usual retailer here in Italy as soon as they had it a couple of years ago (and so got it even further discounted although I would've gone for physical anyway), when that arrives I'll immediately get the upgrade - that said, the vouchers are great for those interested in getting such games discounted even day one, happy for them!
Will give Normal a try first and foremost, but so glad that Prime 4 has such difficulty settings in both ways for those interested in them just like Remastered etc. as mentioned in the article (and from the start unlike in Dread's case) although I agree with others here that it would be better if Hard were available from the start - anyway, so looking forward to starting playing it myself as soon as my copy arrives!
@OmnitronVariant People in this very comment section and previous ones constantly bring up isolation and so on in Metroid games (just look at the first comments here) while completely disregarding all the already shown sections that are exactly about that just like in previous Metroid games - sorry, but I can't help feeling that it's a Legends Z-A etc. situation all over again with some being fixated on a single aspect of the game...
And yet again people are acting as if they haven't shown and so are present in the game multiple sections (ironically enough including the bike and "open world" which is actually more of a Hyrule Field despite all the complaining about that as well) in which Samus is on her own etc. - one thing is not being a fan of certain aspects of a game, another is reducing it to exclusively those and so disregarding everything else... Anyway, overall Prime 4 looks incredible to me, can't wait to start it as soon as my copy arrives!
Tonight I'm not seeing my friends so I'll just continue with my schedule of alternating between:
Fitness Boxing (3, did the daily workout once; 3 did 4 Box-and-Bond for Lin - FotNS did Battle Mode);
Ring Fit Adventure (did 1 mission and so completed World 12; 8 Worlds completed and 4 finished);
Tears of the Kingdom (continued going around to find the remaining Voice Memories; all Towers, Tears, Tablets, Lightroots, Shrines, Temples, Sidequests, Caves, 230 Voice Memories and 181 Koroks);
GameCenter CX (continued the 8th game; first GameCenter CX, 7 Games of the second one completed, second GameCenter CX and 2 Games finished);
Freedom Planet 2 (did 1 stage as Carol; Story as Lilac - 21/63 Badges);
Jamboree (continued getting the remaining Minigame achievements - also got the remaining photos; all Mini Stars and Photos, 106/116 Achievements);
Brothership (continued collecting Bond Energy - also did a challenge; all Reefs, Islets and Sidequests, 20 Islands, 1200 Lumenade, 25 Challenges);
Dragon Quest III (continued sailing around the new map; 14 Dungeons, 87 Mini Medals);
Persona 5 Tactica (did 1 mission and so completed the base game except for the Compendium; all Quests, Hideout Conversations, Missions and Kingdoms in the base game);
Xenoblade Chronicles X (did an affinity mission and so unlocked a new character; 5/?? Chapters, 15/?? Affinity, 26/?? Normal, 36/?? Basic Missions and 34/?? Heart-to-Hearts - Mira 18,38% - 70/204 Story, 29/315 Combat and 50/222 World Achievements);
Guardians of Azuma (slightly advanced the story - also did a couple of bonding quests; 87/?? Main, 46/?? Bonding Quests - 53/?? Bestiary - 11/45 PescaPedia - 16/36 Quests, 3/6 Battles, 1/16 Bonds, 5/8 Everyday Life and 5/7 Kamiwaza Seals);
Fantasy Life i (slightly advanced the story - also did some Life quests and so found a Strangeling and ranked up the Miner Life ; 5 Chapters - Lives 6 Adept and 8 Apprentice Rank - 35 Personal Requests - 35/128 Monsters, 40/130 Resources, 9/49 Strangelings, 9/50 Characters);
Mario Kart World (did a Grand Prix; Mirror Three Stars 1 Grand Prix - 14 ? Panels, 30 P Switches and 10 Peach Medallions in Free Roam - 96 Characters, 35 Vehicles and 228 Stickers);
Soul Calibur II (completed Chapter 5 in Weapon Master; Arcade as 1 character - Weapon Master finished, 4 Chapters and 2 Sub-Chapters completed);
Street Fighter 6 (did Chapter 8-1 in World Tour; World Tour 7 Chapters and 16 Sidequests);
Yakuza 0 (continued Chapter 8 - also did a couple of substories and continued the business; 7 Chapters - 17.11% Completion, 15/79 Adventure, 28/84 Battle, 7/99 Business, 4/27 Substories, 10/85 Minigames);
Was interested in this game regardless, but definitely won't say no to a Switch 2 Edition (even better considering that the upgrade is free) - looking forward to playing this now that it's coming also to Switch 1 and 2 when I have the time for it!
Thanks for the review, good to hear this is overall great also on Switch 2 - looking forward to playing it myself when I can (it will be the first Inazuma Eleven I properly play, have only barely played Strikers on Wii so far)!
Happy 20th anniversary Partners In Time, still overall love it to this day for the reasons mentioned in this very article (along with some nostalgia as it's the first Mario & Luigi I finished despite playing Superstar Saga first, got stuck at the final boss there) so it was a bummer not seeing it rereleased on 3DS if understandable considering AlphaDream's situation - fingers crossed it at least eventually comes to NSO whenever they add DS games to it for those who have never played it and those who'd like to replay it on Switch 1 and/or 2, in my case first and foremost for my channel!
Hope people will be mostly satisfied at least when it comes to Air Riders's technical aspects unlike Age Of Imprisonment despite Digital Foundry's overall positive verdict even in that case...
Anyway, glad to hear about this myself, looking forward to playing the full release as soon as my copy arrives!
It's cool to see that Mario Run keeps on getting such events even after all this time - too bad that I don't have the time to take part in them myself (in fact, I haven't properly started playing the base game yet even though I should also considering the Platinum Points you can earn by doing so as already mentioned here)!
By the way, couldn't agree more with those countering the complaining about GameChat - not only you wouldn't free as much space as people claim since those 3GB are used by the OS in general (glad it has already been mentioned, that's way too often disregarded), but also a great point has been made about not forcing developers to have to account for even more configurations beyond the obviously required handheld and docked... and can we also stop pretending that nobody cares about GameChat just because some of you don't?
Seems like this could be another great Switch 2 port by Ubisoft just like Outlaws (in particular what they mentioned about VRR is quite interesting), love to see it - regardless, looking forward to playing Assassin's Creed Shadows myself when I can now that it's coming also to Switch 2!
Good to know for those interested in Call of Duty on Switch (not me included personally, but still) - wish good luck to whoever ends up being hired for this position!
@eldersnake Funnily enough it's not even the scary factors like being chased, jumpscares etc. that bother me to the point that it's better for me to skip such games (although I can definitely do without those as well), it's the disturbing aspects - technically any game can have those, but of course they're concentrated in horror games... unfortunately based on the cover and trailer for sure and maybe even your description this is a risky one in that sense! That said, glad to hear that you were able to play the original Layers of Fear and enjoyed it!
@The_Nintendo_Pedant Nice, definitely interested in giving this series at least a shot then - glad to hear you enjoyed TS2 that much and thanks for telling me!
As expected since these are the Japanese charts, but man do I love to see Air Riders selling so many copies at launch! Also happy for Mario Kart World in 2nd, Legends Z-A in 3rd and 5th, Momotaro Dentetsu in 4th and 6th, Age of Imprisonment in 7th (wish it sold better, though), Dragon Quest I & II in 8th, New Horizons in 10th and of course when it comes to the hardware charts Switch 2 on top and selling that much!
Most certainly not for me considering the genre but still, great that such a collection is coming to Switch 2 and even more so considering that it makes use of those features of the system!
Incredibly cool as in both fans making such a game and the IP holders allowing it - as much as FPS isn't my cup of tea I'll definitely consider giving this a try myself at some point and regardless, happy for those interested in this (would be great if the originals eventually got rereleased on Switch 1 and/or 2)!
Great interview, always a pleasure to learn more about games from their creators absolutely including these ones - so looking forward to playing Cosmic Invasion myself when my copy arrives (technically I've already preordered it from my usual retailer here in Italy, but I might cancel that and preorder it elsewhere like on Amazon depending on which version each retailer ends up having)!
Preordered Cosmic Invasion from my usual retailer (still have to ask them which version they'd get me and then decide to keep that or preorder the game elsewhere, but still), will eventually get AC Shadows, Simogo Legacy Collection, the two Picross - voting for the games up to here in the poll -, Popucom, Brok and Viewfinder for sure, maybe also Brotato and that should be it unless I missed something and not counting potential additions!
Can confirm that this is what it says in Japanese except that the shield recovering Samus's health to full when activated is missing (please add that when you can @Olliemar28) - anyway, pretty cool functions although luckily nothing essential, even happier that I got all these amiibo myself!
Thanks for the review, will eventually give this a try for sure even though it isn't a priority for me (even less so considering the mentioned cons, but those won't stop me from at least giving it a shot) - regardless, glad that it's finally also on Switch!
Again, reminder that Fortnite Battle Royale has a 12/T rating... Leaving that aside, pretty cool - hope those watching this will enjoy it (most likely not me included at least anytime soon, but still)!
Huh, didn't expect Nintendo to open a subsidiary in Singapore by doing this, but at the same time it's in line with their previous acquisitions (and as others have already mentioned here it seems like a sensible way to expand unlike what unfortunately way too many other companies do) - fingers crossed it will be for the best for Nintendo, Bandai Namco and also players!
Couldn't agree more with what others have already mentioned, these are video games, they should be enjoyable to play first and foremost - even leaving that aside, this is consistent 60fps, 1080p and has a low starting price further decreased thanks to discounts even day one (do I have to remind people yet again about all the complaining whenever even just one of those aspects isn't like that, especially ever since the start of the Switch 2 gen? Look at Age of Imprisonment for example despite Digital Foundry's overall favorable verdict) so I'm sorry, but I can't help feeling that some want to have their cake and eat it, too...
Nice, happy for those interested in using the Switch 2 Pro Controller on Steam - fingers crossed Joy-Con 2 will eventually be compatible, too (as usual personally I'm interested in a successor to the Steam Deck whenever it comes out first and foremost)!

Re: Video: Check Out Red Dead Redemption's Switch 2 Improvements In This Side-By-Side Comparison
@Truegamer79 Just a digital upgrade (at least for now, but I doubt they'll rerelease this physically only for the sake of including a 506 MB upgrade).

Can confirm that this is what it says in Japanese except that the shield recovering Samus's health to full when activated is missing (please add that when you can @Olliemar28) - anyway, pretty cool functions although luckily nothing essential, even happier that I got all these amiibo myself!
Re: Mini Review: Morsels (Switch) - A Punishing, Obscure, But Thoroughly Entertaining Roguelite Dungeon Crawler
Thanks for the review, will eventually give this a try for sure even though it isn't a priority for me (even less so considering the mentioned cons, but those won't stop me from at least giving it a shot) - regardless, glad that it's finally also on Switch!
Re: Quentin Tarantino's Animated Kill Bill Sequel Premieres This Week... In Fortnite
Again, reminder that Fortnite Battle Royale has a 12/T rating...
Leaving that aside, pretty cool - hope those watching this will enjoy it (most likely not me included at least anytime soon, but still)!
Re: Nintendo To Acquire Bandai Namco Studios Singapore As A Subsidiary
Huh, didn't expect Nintendo to open a subsidiary in Singapore by doing this, but at the same time it's in line with their previous acquisitions (and as others have already mentioned here it seems like a sensible way to expand unlike what unfortunately way too many other companies do) - fingers crossed it will be for the best for Nintendo, Bandai Namco and also players!
Re: Digital Foundry Dives Into Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition's "Big Downgrades" On Switch 2
Re: Valve's Steam Client Adds Switch 2 Pro Controller Support
Nice, happy for those interested in using the Switch 2 Pro Controller on Steam - fingers crossed Joy-Con 2 will eventually be compatible, too (as usual personally I'm interested in a successor to the Steam Deck whenever it comes out first and foremost)!
