Re: Talking Point: If The Star Fox Rumours Are True, Where The Heck's Our Captain Toad Sequel?

JohnnyMind

Fingers crossed we eventually get a Captain Toad sequel (although I'd also welcome even just a Switch 2 Edition over nothing), while I haven't finished the original for various reasons I loved what I played of it and I'm looking forward to eventually replaying and this time finishing it - that said and even leaving the rumors aside, I really hope we get a new Star Fox and also more rereleases of the previous ones first and foremost... and would be great if the same happened for other Nintendo series, too!

Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting Pragmata For Switch 2?

JohnnyMind

I've already pre-ordered it and yes, at some point I'll get the Diana amiibo, too - so looking forward to starting this game when my copy arrives and as soon as I have the time for it (hopefully I should finish playing at least Pac-Man World 2 in the upcoming weeks)!

Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Pragmata

JohnnyMind

Guess your mileage may vary when it comes to certain aspects, but it seems like a great if not better game (especially gameplay-wise) and I'm glad most enjoyed it overall - looking forward to playing it myself when my copy arrives and as soon as I have the time for it!

Re: Unsurprisingly, The Mario Galaxy Movie Is Already 2026's Biggest Box Office Hit

JohnnyMind

And that's without however much it will end up making in Japan considering that it hasn't come out there yet etc., I can definitely see it reaching if not surpassing the first movie - personally I love to see it as so many obviously me included really enjoyed it, so looking forward to the third movie whenever it comes out most likely in around 3 years (and in the meantime I'm curious about the Zelda one next year as much as I prefer animation)!

Re: UK Charts: Pokémon Pokopia Is Starting To Prove Its Staying Power

JohnnyMind

Yep, Pokopia is here to stay - not surprising at all to me considering it's Pokémon and its game genres first and foremost and luckily also quality but still, love to see it!
Also personally happy to see Requiem in 1st, World in 5th, the Galaxy bundle, Bananza and CrossWorlds back to the top 10 in 7th, 9th and 10th respectively, Legends Z-A in 8th (further proof of the abovementioned Pokémon factor), Crimson Desert in 11th, Hogwarts Legacy in 12th, Skywalker Saga in 14th, New Horizons in 15th, Wonder still in 16th etc.!

Re: Two First-Party Switch 2 Ratings Have Been Spotted

JohnnyMind

@PC2 Yep, in my case I've already heard that, when I have the time (maybe immediately after Raiders if I do end up starting with that?) I'm definitely playing also the mainline Splatoon games mostly if not exclusively for the single player content - anyway, glad you've already said it for those who didn't know!
@Joekun Fortune's Weave is already confirmed to be a return to 3 Houses when it comes to both gameplay and story, but I wouldn't be surprised if we still got more traditional Fire Emblem games from time to time (at least when it comes to remakes and there's one that was supposedly leaked along with Engage even though it hasn't come out yet) - regardless, like @Kingy I also recommend giving older Fire Emblem titles a try starting with the GBA ones on NSO or emulator to see if those appeal more to you!

Re: Two First-Party Switch 2 Ratings Have Been Spotted

JohnnyMind

Not particularly surprising but still, good to hear these got rated and so we're getting closer to their release - so looking forward to both whenever they come out (Raiders will most likely be my first proper Splatoon, have only played a little of the first one so far)!

Re: Mouse: P.I. For Hire Switch 2 Performance And Resolution Revealed

JohnnyMind

Most likely I'll go for performance both in handheld and docked - and yep, despite FPS usually not being my cup of tea I'm seriously considering playing this one as I love practically everything else about it (we'll see also based on reviews, there's a good amount of time for me to decide anyway since the physical comes out on July 10)!

Re: Opinion: Of All Things, Animal Crossing (And 'FOPI') Has Made Me A Switch 2 Evangelist

JohnnyMind

FOPI aside (I'm waiting for an increase to actually be announced before worrying about it, but on the other hand I seriously doubt there will ever be any decreases apart from discounts at retailers), it's exactly all those features people have been asking for throughout the Switch generation in addition of course to current and inevitable future exclusives and the strengths the first Switch also had that make Switch 2 worth it for so many, obviously me included, as shown by its sales regardless of what some on the internet claim - anyway, glad to hear you've been playing and enjoying New Horizons as a family!

Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Pokémon Champions

JohnnyMind

Competitive (not just Pokémon, anything) will always require "dedication and time to improve" or it wouldn't be that, but what this does based on everything I've seen and heard myself is exactly what most have been asking for all this time: give a streamlined way to prepare your Pokémon for competitive and so put your dedication and time into the strategies etc. instead of the boring stuff - considering that, I'm not surprised at all that I've seen several people here enjoying this even as is although of course we all hope the bugs will be fixed sooner rather than later!

Re: Round Up: Everything Announced In The Level-5 Vision 2026 April Showcase

JohnnyMind

Still want to watch the full showcase as soon as I can (most likely not earlier than tomorrow unfortunately) and so see these announcements in detail there, but glad to see them in general here - the game I'm most excited for is Professor Layton both in itself and considering that it's the one coming first, but I'm also really happy to hear that Victory Road is getting at least in Japan, absolutely importing it!

Re: Level-5 Release Dates Still Up In The Air For Some Potential 2026 Titles

JohnnyMind

It's exactly because they didn't hesitate to delay it that Fantasy Life i has been a success (there's literally an article about that on this very site) and most certainly the same can be said about Inazuma Eleven Victory Road, too - I don't mind delays in general if they mean getting better games from the get go, but even more so when it comes to Level-5 specifically considering the abovementioned!

Re: Review: Pokémon Champions (Switch) – The Most Accessible & Flawed Competitive Pokémon Has Ever Been

JohnnyMind

This is exactly what people have been asking for all this time then, a much more streamlined way to train Pokémon for competitive, and luckily it seems that the monetization can be mostly ignored so I'm not surprised that I've seen several here on Nintendo Life mentioning enjoying it even as is (looking forward to giving it a try myself) - that said, fingers crossed the technical issues will be solved sooner rather than later other than of course the inevitable additional Pokémon, items etc. over time although I couldn't agree more about the advantages of the limitations at first!

Re: Fear Not, Pokémon Champions' Naff Switch 2 TV Resolution Is Fixable

JohnnyMind

Good to know that it's just a bug of this kind (interesting that a similar but opposite one has already happened to Payday 2) and so not only there's this temporary solution, but most likely it will be fixed sooner rather than later - will keep it in mind if I end up trying Champions in docked before the straight up fix!
