Re: Round Up: The Previews Are In For Super Mario Bros. Wonder - Switch 2 Edition + Meetup In Bellabel Park

JohnnyMind

By the way, why not consider that each game has its own strength and weaknesses and so it's just a matter of taste instead of it being (objectively as that's what's more often than not implied if not explicited) "better", "under/overrated" and so on? Luckily there is at least some nuance in some comments here, but unfortunately way too often that's not the case...

Re: Round Up: The Previews Are In For Super Mario Bros. Wonder - Switch 2 Edition + Meetup In Bellabel Park

JohnnyMind

Again, too bad the preview was limited to the multiplayer component because while that's great for those interested in it as shown by most of these previews it's the single player that might convince those on the fence to get it - personally, I'm interested in this as a whole so I'm glad to hear that most enjoyed that part (other than of course for the sake of those who took part in this)!

Re: Pokémon Pinball Teased By Stern Pinball, Prices Start At $6,999

JohnnyMind

Pretty cool although yeah, it's clearly exclusively for business owners to purchase considering the price (happy for those who'll be able to play it whenever one becomes available at a business near them) - as for the Pokémon Pinball videogames, fingers crossed we'll get the old ones on NSO sooner rather than later and hopefully at some point a new one, too!

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (7th February)

JohnnyMind

By the way, usually I mention whatever game I'll play for my Sunday stream only the next week to show what I did (and also considering that I'm tight on space for my comments as is), but this time it's worth mentioning that unless plans change I'm playing the Pragmata Sketchbook demo - if you're wondering why someone voted for Pragmata that's why!
... Now there are multiple votes for it so others must be playing the demo this weekend, nice!

Re: Chrono Trigger, Xenogears Writer Is Releasing A Brand New RPG On Switch 2

JohnnyMind

Always love to see games not stuck exclusively on mobile and/or getting rid of gacha microtransactions and this is certainly no exception, even more so considering those who worked on it - absolutely looking forward to playing it myself at some point (how I wish Chrono Trigger and Xenogears also came to Switch and so I could finally play those, too)!

Re: Japanese Charts: Mario Kart World Can't Keep Code Vein II From The Top Spot

JohnnyMind

Unfortunate to hear here in the comments that despite being on top here Code Vein II isn't selling well in general - wonder if a Switch 2 version could help to an extent (but of course they should improve a potential sequel if it ever happens)...
Anyway, personally happy for Mario Kart World in 2nd, New Horizons in 3rd and 4th, Legends Z-A in 5th and 7th, Momotaro Dentetsu in 6th and 10th, Air Riders in 8th, FF7 Remake in 9th and of course Switch 2 on top of the hardware charts and still selling incredibly well and that's despite the lower sales of the games in this period!

Re: PSA: Monster Hunter Stories 3 Switch 2 Trial Demo Now Available, Save Data Carries Over

JohnnyMind

Will wait to see/hear how the full release runs as this could be, and apparently is based on an event build, just an older version, but if even now the issues are mostly if not exclusively in handheld then I'll just play it docked - anyway, not sure if I'll have the time for the demo, but I'm looking forward to playing this game at some point (most likely not anytime soon considering I haven't played the previous Stories games yet and I should play those first and foremost)!

Re: Oblivion, Skyrim And Fallout Switch 2 Physicals Will All Be Code-In-A-Box, Bethesda Confirms

JohnnyMind

And this is exactly why despite my preference for fully or at least partially physical like luckily Indiana Jones here I've never been as against Game-Key Cards as most here, you can do worse starting with code-in-box (i.e. digital in a box and so you can't resell, freely share and it's tied to a single account) - that said, digital-only unlike cloud etc. is certainly not enough of a reason for me to completely skip a game, still looking forward to all the games mentioned although I'll just get them on the eShop considering this!

Re: Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase February 2026: Every Announcement, Game Reveal, Trailer

JohnnyMind

My favorite announcements as in the biggest surprises other than me personally liking them were Paranormasight, Super Bomberman Collection (shoutout also to the Goemon collection in the Japanese version, looking forward to seeing what else they announced there when I watch it tomorrow for my channel), Kyoto Xanadu, Console Archives and last but certainly not least Oblivion Remastered - considering those surprises and the variety not only when it comes to the games themselves, but also as in getting completely new announcements, day-and-date releases, ports, shadowdrops, retro collections, Switch 2 Editions etc. I'd rate it 9 - Excellent!

Re: Hamster's 'Console Archives' Is The Closest We'll Get To Virtual Console In 2026

JohnnyMind

This was one of the biggest surprises, as I've just said over Time Extension I'm all for it as it will most certainly bring to Switch 2 games that for one reason or another wouldn't get added to NSO or at least as an alternative option to that like in the case of Ninja Gaiden II as already mentioned here - can't help but wonder though if some will change their opinion on that service after seeing the prices of these (would love to be proven wrong, but based on Arcade Archives, the licenses involved etc. I don't expect them to be cheap just like Virtual Console wasn't back in the day)...

Re: Super Bomberman Collection Gets A Surprise Shadow Drop On Switch 2

JohnnyMind

One of the big surprises today in general and also personally, man am I glad we're finally getting a Bomberman collection - absolutely getting this myself and even more so since I've never properly played these games (and I have my fingers crossed we'll eventually get other Bomberman collections after this one, hopefully including the 64 games if they don't let Nintendo put them on NSO)!

Re: Indiana Jones Cracks His Whip On Switch 2 On 12th May 2026

JohnnyMind

Glad to finally be able to play this myself instead of having just watched a little of it at a friend's house - fingers crossed all the Switch 2 version of games by Bethesda announced today will be good, but in the meantime kudos to them for bringing so many games to the system in the first place (this is the one I was already looking forward to the most, but now I'm actually excited for all of them also personally other than of course in general)!

Re: Video: 14 Exciting Games Coming To Switch And Switch 2 In February 2026

JohnnyMind

Already have Hello Mario as I downloaded it from the Japanese eShop back then, Virtual Boy I'll automatically have as it's on NSO, will eventually get Dragon Quest VII, Mario Tennis, Kiwami 3 and Disney Afternoon (voting for all of those but Kiwami 3 in the poll also considering that I won't play that anytime soon as I'm still playing 0), maybe also the Resident Evils especially Requiem, Star Trek and that should be it!

Re: Metroid Prime 4's "Combined Sales" Have Surpassed One Million, Nintendo Confirms

JohnnyMind

By the way, glad the misinformation about who, how and why handled the development of Prime 4 has already been countered and thanks for all the links (in particular I'll check out the Famitsu interview in Japanese when I have the time) - how I wish people and even more so journalists, YouTubers etc. actually looked up if there's such information first and foremost, but of course negativity sells!

Re: Metroid Prime 4's "Combined Sales" Have Surpassed One Million, Nintendo Confirms

JohnnyMind

So after all Prime 4 already surpassed one million when combining the sales as many me included figured out while we already knew Age of Imprisonment did so before the report and as some mentioned it could be missing from that just because it's published by Koei Tecmo in Japan - anyway, glad to hear it and I hope both games keep on selling for both their creators' and players' sake (I'm already playing Age of Imprisonment and I'm loving it)!
