Love that Mario and apparently also Luigi are visiting the Sand Kingdom in this movie and so we'll see more of it than the glimpse in the previous one - so looking forward to watching it (and of course seeing/hearing more about it in the meantime through trailers, posters like in this case etc.), will absolutely try to do so day one just like last time!
Nice, happy for those interested in a physical release of this (me included if it ends up being available also here in Italy - more likely than not, but of course we'll see)!
Might give the now called "Veteran Mode" a try, but won't hesitate to temporarily if not permanently switch to "Explorer Mode" whenever necessary (so glad they're adding the option) - anyway, great additions, changes and fixes in general, looking forward to playing Shadow Labyrinth when I can even more than I already was!
Nice that this version is getting a physical edition for those interested in it (not me included since I already have a Switch physical copy, I'll just get the upgrade which should also be available considering it's a Switch 2 Edition) - personally, don't mind delays in general and even less so for such a reason!
So unsurprisingly all those saying that Nintendo intentionally did this jumped the gun (reminder that when they want to go after someone they don't hesitate to explicitly say and straight up do so as proven by all their takedowns, lawsuits etc.) - anyway, fingers crossed all the remaining third-party docks with issues will receive fixes sooner rather than later!
The new suit looks nice, looking forward to discovering what it does (doubt it will be mentioned in trailers so most likely directly when I play Prime 4 myself - can't wait to do so)!
Some people will never be satisfied one way or the other, just look at the reactions to Age Of Imprisonmentdespite Digital Foundry themselves overall praising it last time - sorry, but games being fun and even more so for many (most likely me included in this case based on what I've seen and heard of it, unfortunately haven't played it as my copy hasn't arrived yet although I'd say the same anyway) and their creators being able to continue making them has always been and will keep on being what matters first and foremost and even more so nowadays that gaming is plagued by way, way more serious issues like all the lay-offs and so on!
And yet again most focus on a single aspect while disregarding everything else we've seen so far of this game - personally, considering all we've seen of Prime 4 (and of course also how much I overall enjoyed Remastered despite first person not being my cup of tea) I can't wait to play it myself!
Overall great list regardless of personal opinions on the ranking, it encompasses practically all Nintendo systems and kinds of games - even more than seeing the usual suspects at the top as expected, I'm happy to see no matter if near the bottom some games that were far from guaranteed to be included considering the sheer number of candidates, 999 just to make an example (and while it had a higher chance and so is unsurprisingly also higher in the ranking I love to see Elite Beat Agents, too)!
@SalvorHardin I can see where you're coming from, but as I've just mentioned in the other comment section after watching the latest trailer which at last introduces the Galactic Federation Troopers Samus is still on her own most of the time - I can't help but feel that it's yet another bike and especially "open world" (as others and I had guessed the latter is actually more of a Hyrule Field) situation!
Samus is on her own more often than not even in this trailer that at last shows the Galactic Federation Troopers so yeah, not particularly worried myself (to be honest I don't particularly care about that either way in the first place, but still) - anyway, great trailer, so looking forward to playing Prime 4 myself as soon as my copy arrives!
Thanks for the preview, looking forward to playing Prime 4 myself even more than I already was (and yes, despite Mackenzie as not only I doubt he'll bother me that much personally, but also because I'd be surprised to see him often if at all beyond that section - after all, he hasn't shown up anywhere else as in both in-game locations and footage before)!
More than the DK Rap (which I'd also say it's actually overall good) this reminds me of certain infamous past Nintendo commercials as others have also mentioned here - in that sense I do find it funny and not just in the "strange" meaning of the word!
Thanks for the review, definitely interested in giving this a try myself at some point - seems like a great reminder that we could and should be nicer to each other on the internet in general and such online communities in particular (of course nobody is perfect and so we can all make mistakes from time to time, me included as much as I've been striving to do that here on Nintendo Life and elsewhere, but still)!
Nice, happy for those playing Titanic Scion - looking forward to giving it a try myself (not anytime soon though also considering that I haven't played the original Daemon x Machina yet)!
@ShadLink Doubt it will ever happen not only because of the additional work involved in setting that up, but also considering the potential confusion for more "casual" users (and even more so since all the other apps would most certainly stay as they are) - to be honest, it's much more convenient the way NSO currently works instead of having to download each game also for me, especially considering that I've downloaded the Japanese apps, too.
Yeah, not only as already mentioned above each app has a different purpose, but also if they were combined you'd have more storage occupied even if you aren't interested in all the fuctions (ironically enough that's what some have been complaining about GameCube NSO despite it making way more sense to have all those games in a single app, again damned if you do and damned if you don't) - leaving that aside, nice little additions, happy for those using Today!
Overall great variety in the Pokémon selection for this game and love the new forms/characters (considering Professor Tangrowth in particular maybe they're just the latter as already mentioned here) - so looking forward to playing Pokopia myself!
Good to hear that they're still further improving it - happy for those playing Grand Bazaar (and of course also me whenever I finish playing Guardians of Azuma and so start this myself)!
Not surprised at all but still, love to hear it (again, games etc. being fun for many and their creators being able to continue making them is what matters first and foremost) - so looking forward to playing Legends Z-A myself as soon as my copy finally arrives!
Good to hear that it has been improved (overall worked well as is, but I had a couple of communication errors and also for some unknown reason a single software crash) - so looking forward to taking part in this test once more on stream this upcoming Sunday!
Nope, I use the official one (and yes, as already mentioned by others even more so considering what happened on Switch) - anyway, glad to hear that not all third-party docks are affected and even more so that the manufacturers are working on a fix if not even have already found one!
Waiting to hear confirmation that the upgrade will be available also for those who have the Switch version physically (more likely than not, but it all depends on how they'll implement it and we've just seen an exception in Kiwami) - that said, love to hear that this is now confirmed, there will be an upgrade and of course even more so since it will be free!
Love to hear that this isn't just confirmed now, but straight up available - immediately getting the upgrade (already have a physical copy) and looking forward to playing Hello Kitty Island Adventure when I can even more than I already was!
Love to hear it, so looking forward to it (and while of course the platforms aren't confirmed yet most likely it will come also to Switch 1 and/or 2) - further confirms that as soon as I have an additional slot in my gaming schedule apart from the ones I'll reserve for Nintendo games first and foremost I'll start Trails in the Sky!
Thanks for the review, absolutely getting this expansion and looking forward to it (of course along with the rest of Atari 50 - so glad I finally have a copy of the Expanded Edition) when I have the time for it!
So many great games this year in general and also when it comes to indies in particular as can be seen here - looking forward to playing the ones already on Switch 1 and/or 2 myself when I can (and fingers crossed the remaining ones will eventually come, too)!
Preordered Sparking Zero from my usual retailer here in Italy, will eventually get for sure Victory Road, SpongeBob, Kiwami, Kiwami 2 (voting for the games up to here in the poll), the Ryza games, Dave the Diver, Goodnight Universe, Overcooked 2 and Winter Burrow, maybe Morsels and that should be it unless I missed something - curious to see if there will be any additions thanks to others' comments despite all the games I've already mentioned!
Yeah, even though I also enjoyed it to an extent thanks to its charming aspects unfortunately the forced amiibo gimmick and especially the straying from the Mario Party formula (not necessarily due to the former aspect, let's not forget that Mario Party games themselves suffered from that at the time) bring it quite down to the point that while I wouldn't call it straight up bad I can't say it's good either - honestly, I'd love to see Nintendo revisit the concept as long as they improve on those aspects!
Didn't expect those new forms at the end, what a nice surprise - anyway, loved what they've shown of the game in general, so looking forward to playing it myself as soon as my copy arrives!
As expected but still, love to see Age of Imprisonment debuting on top and selling that much! Also happy to see Legends Z-A in 2nd and 5th, Mario Kart World in 3rd, Dragon Quest I & II in three positions, Bananza in 8th, New Horizons in 9th, Jamboree in 10th and of course Switch 2 on top of the hardware charts and selling that much, but still followed by Switch!
Pretty cool that this is coming also to Switch 2, looking forward to giving it a try myself then - should finally play Portal and Portal 2 (and also the previous ChromaGun of course) when I can first and foremost, though!
Finally had the time to watch the video, interesting as usual - so looking forward to Cosmic Invasion when my copy arrives and I have the time for it (at this point I'll most likely start with this and then I'll finally play also other beat 'em ups like Shredder's Revenge)!
Not particularly interested in playing such a game on mobile myself (doubt it will ever come to Switch 1 and 2, but would be great if it were also on PlayStation at least) - that said, hope those who'll go for it will have fun!
Thanks for the review, seems like a game I'd overall enjoy considering its qualities and even more so since I don't particularly mind the negatives mentioned (and it being short is straight up a positive for me) - looking forward to giving it a try myself when I can!
Glad they've shown also these in addition to the main trailer (in my case I saw them all in the Direct but still, thanks for sharing them also here) - so looking forward to seeing/hearing more about this movie whenever they're ready to share that and then finally watching it next year!
Preordered Age of Imprisonment, Sparking Zero and Air Riders (also Hades II mentioned here in the comments) from my usual retailer here in Italy and I'll eventually get most of the remaining games for sure - yet another busy month, indeed... and I couldn't be happier!
Yeah, also have doubts this will be for the best but of course we'll just have to see (doesn't particularly matter to me personally as I only play Unite from time to time, but still)...
Nice, happy for those interested in getting this digitally (not me included as I already have a physical copy and glad to hear from others here that's even further discounted) - the "prequel scenario" is a nice little extra!
Hope there will be an upgrade regardless of it being free or paid for those who already have the game on Switch (hopefully no matter if they got it physically or digitally unlike Kiwami) - that said, nice that Red Dead Redemption is getting a Switch 2 version in the first place, looking forward to playing it myself when I can even more than I already was... and of course fingers crossed the sequel eventually comes, too!
As others have already mentioned more than the GameCube it's straight up a cube and its aesthetic is closer to a Series X - leaving that aside, happy for those interested in this (not me included as I'd still like a Steam Deck successor first and foremost whenever it happens, not going back from the convenience of hybrid systems)!
What some don't or refuse to realize is that certain games straight up wouldn't exist and so all the human creators involved in making them wouldn't get paid for them if it weren't for AI usage in general and yes, even genAI specifically (there are even those willing to sacrifice human creators in the name of their crusade against those like in the case of Everybody's Golf Hotshots)...
Again, as I mentioned before it's exclusively a matter of usage - it can be used because devs simply can't afford it otherwise and/or in a sensible manner to not reduce the quality (an example of both is Broken Sword according to this article along with all the mostly positive reviews of the game when it came out), the biggest problem is that there are the companies forcing their developers to use it even though it negatively affects their work (like EA staff reportedly for example) and even more so using it as an excuse to get rid of their human employees despite being able to afford them only due to greed!
Love to hear that this now has a release date on Switch 1 and 2 - looking forward to giving this a try when I can (doubt next month even if I went for it digitally considering all the games I'm currently playing and upcoming ones, but still)!
Missed opportunity for this to have an actual upgrade and so compatible also with the physical version (although considering that most games by Sega don't have upgrades at all I'm glad at least those who got this digitally are covered this time) - anyway, thanks for the review, looking forward to playing Kiwami after finishing 0 regardless of the version although I'll definitely consider getting the Switch 2 one!
So glad that it's a Switch 2 Edition and so also has an upgrade option, getting that immediately (already have a Switch physical copy) - looking forward to playing this when I have the time for it even more than I already was!
Missed a couple of the more subtle ones like the Koopa Clown Car and Tostarena Sticker (spotted everything else myself) so thanks for the list - Film Of The Year 2026 jokes aside, I am so hyped for it, looking forward to seeing/hearing more about it and then finally watching it next year, absolutely day one if I can!
Overall absolutely loved what we've seen here, so looking forward to future trailers and then finally the full movie - curious to hear in more senses than one who will voice Rosalina and Bowser Jr. in other languages, too (in my case obviously Italian and Japanese in particular, but also in general)!
Thanks for the review, looking forward to this even more than I already was (doubt anytime soon considering that I'm currently playing 0 and I'll then play the first Kiwami before it, but still) - glad the wealth of stuff to do including but not limited to side activities has been highlighted this time since it's a signature feature of the series based on what I've always heard and now also experienced to an extent myself!
Thanks for the descriptions in the article, had no clue what Tail of the Sun was about beyond cavemen and the sun based on the trailer - anyway, pretty cool that these are coming to Switch, will consider giving them a try at some point myself (not sure if they'll come out also outside of Japan and especially localized, but fingers crossed that will be the case)!

Re: Two PS1 Curios From 'Doshin The Giant' Creator Are Heading To The Switch
Thanks for the descriptions in the article, had no clue what Tail of the Sun was about beyond cavemen and the sun based on the trailer - anyway, pretty cool that these are coming to Switch, will consider giving them a try at some point myself (not sure if they'll come out also outside of Japan and especially localized, but fingers crossed that will be the case)!
