Of course I've already got a Switch 2 - hope all those interested in getting one sooner rather than later if at all will be able to do so before the price goes up (so glad there's a good amount of time to do so especially outside of Japan and again, unlike what Sony did as luckily mentioned also by the article!
@somnambulance I'd say a new Mario Kart at launch, a game that has sold 14.7 millions when Switch 2 itself sold 19.86 million, suffices as the "megaton game" for the first year which hasn't even ended yet while being accompanied by "smaller" sellers like Bananza, Legends Z-A, Pokopia and Air Riders (relatively speaking of course, they sold 4.52, 3.94, 2.41 and 1.87 millions respectively and that's just so far, especially for Pokopia which came out only recently and is about to get a bundle) - a new Mario and Zelda will eventually come, but it makes no sense to get also those now, the former even more so considering Bananza!
Personally, I'll stick to TCG Pocket - that said, glad The Pokémon Company sent you these and you found these cards (my favorites being the fullarts with concrete backgrounds as usual)!
Yet again most people care more about the games themselves than any "controversies" on the internet (personally, I'd say good thing that's the case as there are way more serious issues even just when it comes to gaming) - got both FireRed and Pokopia myself and by the way, as mentioned before in my case the price mattered even less when it comes to the former as I got the Japanese version for less!
Leaving the questionable updated PS2 figure aside, it might still be possible for Switch to sell that much and yep, it all depends on how long Nintendo keep it on the market - regardless, so glad Switch sold that much even as is!
Love to see that many sales in such a short time, fingers crossed it keeps on selling (more likely than not, but still) and so it reaches and even surpass the 3DS game - got it myself day one and I've been living the dream ever since!
Love to see those Switch 2 games selling that much, especially happy for the newcomer Pokopia - of course also glad Switch games keep on selling and yeah, in particular it's nice to see New Horizons so close to 50 millions (fingers crossed it will hit that next time)!
@Max_the_German The sales speak for themselves when it comes to Fire Emblem, all the games after Awakening sold at least 1 million and usually more than 2 for mainline ones (Shadows of Valentia which is a remake and Engage being the exceptions and the latter still sold 1.6 millions) - in addition, the upcoming one is related to Three Houses which is the highest selling one at 4.12 millions...
And this is of course just what we know so far, most likely there will be a Direct in June to announce Nintendo's (and of course also third parties' ) plans for the rest of the year - that said, there are some pretty cool upcoming games even as is and I'm so looking forward to all of them!
I'll copy-paste the facts I mentioned in a comment yesterday since people keep on disregarding them:
The Switch 2 gen started with Mario Kart World (a sequel yes, but "controversial" on the internet exactly because of the differences compared to 8 Deluxe) and Welcome Tour and soon after Bananza (a 3D Donkey Kong after so much time instead of a 3D Mario) and Drag x Drive...
And let me also add a couple of examples beyond the first months: a Kirby Air Ride sequel after 22 years, a Pokémon spin-off à la Dragon Quest Builder by Koei Tecmo in Pokopia and so on - of course in between we got also Switch 2 Edition etc., but considering all the abovementioned can you seriously claim that Nintendo are being "complacent" and "safe"?
Those are incredible sales and I also expect it to keep on selling well in general although less considering those aspects - anyway, love to see it for both Nintendo and those who got Switch 2 and so will hopefully enjoy this lovely (still relatively little) system and the games on it!
Absolutely getting this myself (overall looks incredible in itself and not only visually) and yeah, I have my fingers crossed it will be just the start of a revival of the franchise and so we'll get a new game after it, too - between Fox in the Galaxy movie first and now this it's the best chance for that to happen and I really hope that will be the case!
Wonder if we'll get the full soundtrack on Nintendo Music when the game comes out or at least sooner rather than later after its release (personally, I'll wait to hear these tracks and the rest in game when it comes out and I play it myself in addition of course to parts of them in future trailers) - always happy to see such releases on the service, it's a great way to promote both it and upcoming games!
So funnily enough kind of like Mercenaries, but not exactly (didn't know there was a "Ethan Must Die" minigame mode in 7, nice) - anyway, seems fun, happy for those interested in it... if I end up playing and finishing Requiem myself at some point me included!
Not surprised since as already mentioned in the article Joe wasn't even the in-game voice when it comes to Zero - anyway, looking forward to hearing who the voice actors are (not sure how much I'll hear the performances of the English VAs especially while playing it myself, if there's a setting to change the language of the voices then I'll switch to the Japanese ones, otherwise I'll have the Italian ones by default)!
Surprised it took so long for most of these to be inducted, but glad they did now at least (and honestly that should happen also for all the nominated ones at some point) - in my case I've finally played, finished and almost "completed" at least Dragon Quest thanks to the latest remake!
Unfortunate to hear, but wish him the best in whatever he does next - thank you for all the memories I made by playing the games you worked on (and also future ones by playing them again or even for the first time if I haven't done so yet) and your work at Nintendo in general!
Sad to see it actually happen but yeah, considering the situation I'm not surprised it did - luckily a way lower price hike in general and especially compared to Sony'sand it wasn't even the first time the latter increased all their hardware prices (in particular just €30 in Europe is a welcome surprise) so it could still sell relatively well... but man am I glad I got one at launch and I hope all those interested in it will be able to get it before those dates, fortunately outside of Japan there are several months left!
Yep, such details are one of the many reasons why Pokopia is so good - looking forward to spotting more of them the more I make progress through the story (I'm currently in my third one which ended up being precisely Bleak Beach funnily enough) and each area!
Got an email about this since I've supported it on Kickstarter and also filled out the survey (went for the Switch version just to be sure since an upgrade to the Switch 2 one is confirmed, but I'm not sure if it works also the other way around depending on how they'll implement it) - so glad Mina is finally coming and looking forward to playing it myself when I can!
Would've been cool if they included also the 3DS version in the comparison - anyway, the Switch 2 remake looks great (and not just visually, big fan of the additions to it) and I'm so looking forward to it!
Went for a mix in the polls, I'm a sucker for most of the older versions but at the same time I'd say the new ones are great in their own way (except for Falco, that one I feel went too far compared to its previous designs) - regardless, I'm so looking forward to the upcoming game!
Thanks for the review, was curious about this game last time it got mentioned here on Nintendo Life, glad to hear it's so good (yet another great game brought to Switch 1 and/or 2 by Annapurna) - will consider checking it out myself at some point!
Haven't checked out Steins;Gate yet, will consider doing so with this version - regardless, glad it's coming to Switch 1 and 2 and that the Japanese release will have all those languages (still hope it will straight up be released outside of Japan sooner rather than later if not day one so that it will be more convenient to get)!

Typical of Nintendo (no matter if some claim that not being the case anymore, this is yet another thing that proves them wrong) and I'm all for it - if I ever have the chance to use GameChat and for this game specifically I'll give it a try myself!
Could do this myself since I finally have one of these controllers (got it when it was discounted on My Nintendo Store), but I'll most likely stick to Joy-Cons... also considering mouse mode, definitely want to give that at least a try - fingers crossed for regular gyro as well, the more options the better!
Adorable indeed, will consider getting at least some if not all of these myself at some point (of course for me as collectibles, but also for my niece) - fingers crossed they eventually come outside of Japan as well and so people interested in them won't have to import!
Glad Atari acquired these rights to put them to use instead of potentially someone else that wouldn't - looking forward to seeing what they release first whenever that happens (most likely and also hopefully also on Switch 1 and/or 2, if that's the case I'll definitely consider it myself)!
Didn't expect this to get a Switch 2 Edition, nice - definitely getting it to give it at least a try myself (not sure how often I'll play this version beyond that though since usually I play it on Switch instead since that's what's connected to my TV, my Switch 2 dock is connected to my portable monitor)!

Nintendo always have a mix of old and new, small and big etc. and as much as I would've loved a completely new game this is what makes the most sense for Star Fox to be successful, especially now that way more people might be interested in it thanks to the movie - I really hope that will be the case and so Nintendo won't stop at this and so after it we'll get a brand new game, too!
The box art is clearly based on the Super Famicom one which makes sense and I'd say it looks overall great - absolutely going for it myself (as usual physically, but glad for those getting the game digitally that it isn't too big and finally the lower price also in America)!
I'll preorder a physical copy as soon as I can (so I'm still voting for the first option in the first poll) - again, as much as I would've preferred not another remake this is what makes the most sense right now, looks great and I won't say no to more Star Fox in general, especially after so much time!
On the one hand it's most likely for the better considering the issues the game has on those platforms, on the other hand I can't help but wonder if the Switch 2 port will actually happen at some point considering their mindset (unlike again IO Interactive etc.) - still hope it does for those interested in it!
Quite the surprise waking up this morning and seeing this (regardless of the rumors and speaking of, we'll see if they're right also about the rest or if they got actual information only about this specifically) - as much as I would've preferred not another remake personally, it's what makes the most sense to hopefully make more people play Star Fox for the first time, especially after the movie, not to mention that in itself it looks great... fingers crossed that works out and so they won't stop at that and we'll also get a brand new game after it just like it happened for other Nintendo series!
Thanks for the review, absolutely interested in this now that I know it exists first and foremost and based on what's mentioned here (interesting main mechanic and luckily well executed, the really welcome collectibles tracker etc.) - fingers crossed they can fix the visual bugs through patches so that it can become even better than it luckily already is!
Assuming this isn't just another questionable article by Bloomberg (could be considering that Mochizuki is involved yet again), I'd say the former group of investors are exclusively looking at the profits in the short term like unfortunately way too many do - really hope Nintendo can avoid a price increase in general or at the very least for longer to increase the number of systems sold and so future software purchases... other than of course personally so that more can enjoy Switch 2 and the games on it!
Ah, the "joys" of the English language - at first of course I adapted these names to my mother tongue Italian (and I still do so to an extent unconsciously) while nowadays I try to pronounce them according to the terms they're based on, especially when not of English origin and so unambiguous (the Hydreigon evolutionary line being the most obvious example)... but I'm obviously much more of a fan of the Japanese names which don't have this issue in the first place!
It's so funny that this is possible in the first place - that said, I really hope YouTube properly comes also to Switch 2 sooner rather than later for those interested in it (haven't ever used it on Switch myself, but now I could use it to watch Pokémon Presents etc. on stream and regardless, I know others already regularly use it)!
Beyond the obvious new Mortal Kombat, I'm curious to hear what they're working on as there seems to be more based on this (a new Injustice would be pretty cool) - anyway, hope those interested in the series will enjoy that whenever it comes!
Wario doesn't necessarily have to be about flatulence etc. in the first place, just look at the Wario Land series (speaking of, please Nintendo bring that back), the Mario sports games and so on - anyway, looking forward to also him in the movies whenever that happens!
As usual I won't watch it myself, but I'm looking forward to the articles about any Switch 2 announcements here on Nintendo Life - as for guesses yeah, as already mentioned here I wouldn't be surprised if they announced Final Fantasy VII Part 3 considering what Hamaguchi-san said and how quickly Rebirth is coming to Switch 2 (maybe also Wilds not only as in the expansion, but also a Switch 2 version considering the datamines)!
And again, we're comparing a handheld system that uses under 25W in that mode and just slightly more docked to those power-hungry home consoles (thanks for the reminder about that and other specifics in the comment section about the internal resolution and now also here) - anyway, so looking forward to Rebirth on Switch 2 in general and playing it myself immediately after Remake which I'm starting as soon as possible!
Nice that they're continuing to bring the Gothic games to Switch, 2 in particular for this one - happy for those interested in them and I might give them at least a try myself at some point, but for now even just when it comes to THQ Nordic I'm more interested in the Switch 2 version of Epic Mickey (fingers crossed for an upgrade)!
Bittersweet after hearing about the layoffs - that said and just like for this game coming also to Switch 2, I'm happier than sad that it's getting a physical release for those interested in it (not me included considering the kind of game and also that the physical is by Limited Run which means increased cost due to shipping)!
Those changes included in the major update seem nice other than of course the new DLC fighter being welcome - happy for those playing this game (would like to give this series at least a try myself at some point, too)!
Unfortunate in general, but personally it will give me more time and also information to decide if I want to go for it myself and also which version to pick (how I wish there were an upgrade instead of them being completely separate releases on Switch 1 and 2) - anyway, hope those going for it will enjoy it whenever they play it!

Re: THQ Nordic Announces Open-World APRG 'Gothic III Classic' For Switch 2
Nice that they're continuing to bring the Gothic games to Switch, 2 in particular for this one - happy for those interested in them and I might give them at least a try myself at some point, but for now even just when it comes to THQ Nordic I'm more interested in the Switch 2 version of Epic Mickey (fingers crossed for an upgrade)!
Re: Alien: Rogue Incursion - Part I: Evolved Edition Is Getting A Switch 2 Physical Release
Bittersweet after hearing about the layoffs - that said and just like for this game coming also to Switch 2, I'm happier than sad that it's getting a physical release for those interested in it (not me included considering the kind of game and also that the physical is by Limited Run which means increased cost due to shipping)!
Re: Under Night In-Birth II Sys:Celes Announces Major Game Update, Releasing Alongside New DLC Fighter
Those changes included in the major update seem nice other than of course the new DLC fighter being welcome - happy for those playing this game (would like to give this series at least a try myself at some point, too)!
Re: R-Type Dimensions III Switch 1 & 2 Physical Release Hit With Delay
Unfortunate in general, but personally it will give me more time and also information to decide if I want to go for it myself and also which version to pick (how I wish there were an upgrade instead of them being completely separate releases on Switch 1 and 2) - anyway, hope those going for it will enjoy it whenever they play it!
