Nice that this now has a release date - keeps on looking like a fun if chaotic (especially in co-op) game, will definitely consider playing it myself at some point!
Nice video to introduce more people to Switch 2 and the games on it (including Switch ones with enhancements, noticed Tomodachi Life for example) - while I don't think it's particularly related to that, thanks for the reminder that Nintendo's next financial report is coming in two days!
A healthy balance is the right way forward... as has actually been the case for a while even before Today came out (remember how they announced Origami King for example?), the only difference being that now Nintendo have that as their main, official platform for such announcements - that said, of course I absolutely love Directs and will never say no to them and I'm looking forward to the next one, most likely in June!
Don't remember off the top of my head if I already have the Switch versions of these but regardless, hope there will be upgrades for those who do - that said, happy they're getting Switch 2 versions in the first place and looking forward to playing them myself (not anytime soon, still playing the Trails in the Sky 1st remake, then I'll play the 2nd and hopefully the 3rd one will come and also to Switch before I tackle these)!
Personally, I'm all for delaying games if it means them being better from the get-go (as long as they actually come in the first place, but I have no reason to doubt in this case considering it's by IO Interactive) - looking forward to First Light coming also to Switch 2 to play it myself whenever it's ready!
As much as I quite enjoy also the mainline games, seeing different aspects of Pokémon, especially the creatures themselves, is exactly why I overall prefer the spin-offs - anyway, glad to hear Pokopia had such a positive effect on you Tim and this is exactly one of the many reasons why I love videogames so much... no "right game at the right time" for me just because them in general have helped me throughout my whole life, mentally and even physically (as a kid I could barely see from my left eye and it's exactly thanks to games that I almost fully recovered)!
Didn't expect such a collab, seems like a nice idea (curious about the currently not specified "Pokémon TCG themed activities") - anyway, hope those taking part in this will have fun!
Love to see Tomodachi Life back on top! Also personally happy for Cyberpunk still in 2nd (guess the discounts are continuing), Pokopia in 5th, Requiem in 6th, World still in 8th, Pragmata in 10th (wish it were higher, though), Armored Core VI still in 11th, the Galaxy bundle in 12th, Legends Z-A in 13th, Clair Obscur in 14th, New Horizons in 16th, 8 Deluxe still in 18th, Wonder in 19th, Bananza in 20th etc.!
Scalpers are the worst, but they would stop their activities if people didn't buy from them (unless they want to keep on losing money instead of gaining it) as others here have already mentioned - even more ridiculous when it comes to such products...
The more games coming to Switch 1 and/or 2 the better, absolutely including these Star Wars ones (and also older ones, starting with the Rogue Squadrons so many keep on bringing up and for good reason) although for the poll I'm voting Zero Company specifically - if at least some do I'll definitely consider playing them myself!
Nice, will definitely take part in it (the Snake Bananza statue is appreciated, but the Rattly one even more so as I love to see all these characters coming back at least in this way) - good luck to others doing so, too!
This new date would make more sense and luckily it isn't too much of an additional wait (while of course having the positive of letting the movie stay exclusively in cinemas for longer for their sake) - anyway, hope those watching the movie whenever it becomes available also in this way and then eventually other ones as well have fun!
Nice length for the main campaign at least on paper, not too long nor short (and of course it then becomes much longer when counting extras like the Tactical Simulator, replays etc.) - so looking forward to seeing/hearing how the full game is when it comes out on other platforms first and then eventually playing it myself whenever it comes also to Switch 2!
By the way, glad others have already countered the straight up misinformation some complaining about Game-Key Cards keep on bringing up - one thing is personal preference, another is disregarding facts -, but here are a couple of additional points:
it has already been mentioned that "[m]ost games people obtain on PC are from Steam", but here's an article about a "research, based on responses from 306 PC game developers in the UK and the US – mostly senior managers" which states that "for the vast majority of developers (88%), Steam accounts for over 75% of their revenue, with 37% reporting that Valve's storefront makes up over 90% of their revenue";
in relation to that, there's the baseless fear "of servers shutting down, preventing them from access their purchases" when that hasn't happened yet even for Nintendo's oldest ones on the Wii and that is only around 3 years older than Steam (despite that I've seen way too many on this very site being perfectly fine with the latter while making such claims exclusively for the former)...
Of course this had to be the next bundle considering the success of Pokopia in particular and Pokémon in general - glad even more people will get Switch 2 and Pokopia thanks to this (and it will most certainly sell well as, and personally I'd say luckily considering all the serious issues plaguing even just videogames not to mention the world in general, the silent majority cares about games in themselves first and foremost, in fact my friend has just got Switch 2 exactly because of Pokopia)!
Lovely concept art, glad they made it public in occasion of the 35th anniversary celebrations - how I wish Sonic Adventure were also on Switch to finally play it myself and in a more convenient way (they could even just rerelease the DX version on NSO if they wanted to although of course a remaster and especially as part of a collection would be even better)!
Nice that there's now also this option and even more so since there's a "upgrade pack" for those who have the original as well - hope those going for either will enjoy them (if I ever wanted a controller of this kind I'd most likely go for an 8BitDo one considering all its features, including being able to use it wireless, and lower price compared to other ones)!
Have heard of this earlier today and yeah, good on Reggie for refusing that - so glad things changed to at least an extent at Amazon by the time the Switch was about to come out, "mutually beneficial approach" is exactly how it should be (and of course nothing of straight up illegal)!
Surprised it isn't mentioned in the article and so I suppose the video (sorry, don't have the time to watch that now), but apparently another big feature of this game is that the killer is randomly chosen at the start of a new save file - considering that and everything else listed here I'd say this game could be quite interesting and yes, I'll consider playing it myself at some point!
Thanks for the review, definitely interested in giving this at least a try myself at some point (even more so considering the inclusion of rewind to use it whenever needed although I hope they'll fix that aspect of it) - regardless, it's always nice to see older games coming to contemporary platforms and even more so when they include some extras like in this case!
Love to further hear that Pragmata has been so successful in itself first and foremost (but of course I'm curious about its potential future, too) - so looking forward to playing it myself as soon as I can!
Really hope this won't go through because I'm sorry, but I have serious doubts eBay would benefit from this - would hate to see it negatively affected both in general and personally as I still use that myself from time to time unlike GameStop (and yeah, now called GameLife here in Italy as I've heard of only recently exactly because of that)!
Unfortunate to hear, especially about the lay-offs and as usual wish the best to those affected (I'd say it's not just the games industry as a whole though, in this case most likely because of their focus on VR games and potentially excessive expansion in previous years, notice the "working there for the past 3 years" in Smith's quote) - that said, while I can see where you're coming from personally I'm happier than sad that they managed to bring the first part also to Switch 2!
Even happier that I've preordered a physical copy (hope the preorder bonus will be included) - so looking forward to playing it when I have the time for it!
Some really good eShop games this month (in the case of Mouse P.I. exclusively on it only for now as a physical release is coming), looking forward to playing several of them myself - not sure which one will end up being my favorite, maybe OPUS Prism Peak... hopefully the patch fixing its issues on Switch 2 will come sooner rather than later!
Didn't expect a quiz so soon after the monthly one and a Pokopia quiz at that, nice - anyway, got 9/15 (unsurprisingly made some mistakes between being currently in the 3rd area and playing in Italian) so currently 189th out of 462, obviously not in the leaderboard and so don't know the time!
North America without a doubt since it shows you what this game is about specifically beyond it just starring a Chocobo - funnily enough this is one of the few Final Fantasy games I've properly played, only spin-offs so far (technically including the Mario Hoops 3-on-3/Slam Basketball and Sports Mix since they have characters etc. from that series)!
So far the game seems great in itself, the recurring question is how much of a Bond game it is - unfortunately we'll just have to wait and see because three stages are far from enough to tell (although I feel like there's also some confusion due to the different versions of Bond throughout the years as for example several comments on Push Square were expecting and/or hoping for more action, but as a "mad bond fan" also there pointed out "Bond was never about all out action there has always been a lot of spy stuff going on there too" and "this looks like its going to be more true to the books")... anyway, based on these previews I'm overall even more looking forward to seeing/hearing more about this and eventually playing it myself whenever it comes to Switch 2, too!
In my case I'm not worrying about that at all in the first place as I'm focusing on playing through the story for the sake of that in itself and to unlock all the abilities, especially that final one before even thinking of properly rebuilding anything... if I ever feel like doing that - the beauty of videogames (and even more so ones like Pokopia) is experiencing them in your own way!
Didn't know the release date of Coffee Talk Tokyo so thanks for that - there are several games that interest me personally among this (some I've already preordered physically like Indiana Jones, Yoshi etc. and I'll receive a digital copy of Outbound as I've supported it on Kickstarter) and even in general May will be an intense month when it comes to game releases... and I couldn't be happier!
Thanks for the guide, glad you got to visit Madrid in general and these shops and museum in particular - will keep them in mind in case I end up having the chance of doing so myself (have been to Spain before, but only Barcelona and my game etc. purchases there were simply at Fnac)!
Huh, lower price than I expected - doubt I'll ever go for it myself or at least anytime soon (even just when it comes to Sega the Lego Sonic sets that you can play with are my priority, not to mention the Nintendo ones of course), but I hope those going for it will enjoy it!
Not interested in this myself, but I'm so glad we're finally getting more EA Sports games also on Nintendo systems for those who are (and mostly with content parity, not the nonsense we saw on Switch for a while) - fingers crossed even more of these series eventually come, hopefully including NHL as people not just in this comment section, but here on Nintendo Life in general would like that!
Really nice teaser - definitely won't say no to more animated (short) series in general and this one is certainly no exception also considering that it's Pac-Man!
Would like to give Melty Blood at least a try at some point, maybe starting with this one - anyway, glad to hear it's coming next year also to Switch 1 and 2!
Tonight I'm seeing my friends, not sure what we'll play (last time we played 8 Deluxe, Smash etc.). On my own I'll continue with my schedule:
Fitness Boxing (FotNS, did a battle, defeated Shin; 3 did 4 Box-and-Bond for Lin);
Ring Fit Adventure (did 1 mission of World 14; 9 Worlds completed and 4 finished);
GameCenter CX (continued the 8th game, started the next dungeon);
Freedom Planet 2 (didn't play it; Story as Lilac and Carol - 25/63 Badges);
Dragon Quest III (finished the final dungeon; game finished, all Mini Medals, Monsters and Dungeons, 9 Arenas);
Legends Arceus (continued going around to catch all Pokémon - also did 2 requests; 26/27 Missions and 98/122 Requests - Pokédex 241 Seen, 239 Caught and 143 Max Research);
Xenoblade Chronicles X (did 2 normal missions; 7/?? Chapters, 23/?? Affinity, 64/?? Normal, 67/?? Basic Missions and 60/?? Heart-to-Hearts - Mira 30.41% - 104/204 Story, 46/315 Combat and 78/222 World Achievements);
Guardians of Azuma (defeated a boss and so advanced the story - also did some bonding quests; 152/?? Main, 156/?? Bonding Quests - 100/?? Bestiary - 16/45 PescaPedia - all Kamiwaza, 31/36 Quests, 5/6 Battles, 2/16 Bonds and 6/8 Everyday Life Seals);
Fantasy Life i (did some requests, many Life quests and so ranked up the Angler Life; 6 Chapters - Lives 5 Master, 8 Expert and 1 Adept Rank - 89 Personal Requests - all Strangelings, 91/148 Monsters, 88/138 Resources, 49/50 Characters);
Mario Kart World (played it with my friends; Mirror Three Stars all GPs, 1 KT - 26 Panels, 64 Switches and 15 Medallions in Free Roam - all Vehicles, 108 Characters and 301 Stickers);
Soul Calibur II (did Arcade as 1 character; Arcade as 4 characters - Weapon Master completed except for an extra mission);
Street Fighter 6 (did Chapters 11-1 and 11-2 in World Tour; World Tour 10 Chapters and 29 Sidequests);
Bananza (completed SL 601, 602 and 700 - also continued Emerald Rush; game finished, 6 layers completed - 643/777 Banandium Gems, 582/696 Fossils, 107/117 Discs - VoidCo 11 Rewards);
Pac-Man World 2 (completed 1 level of the DLC);
Age of Imprisonment (did 6 aside quests and 1 battle - also did many quests; 4 Chapters, 21 Battles, 106 Aside Quests and 213 Quests);
Persona 3 Reload (still 5/24, Tartarus up to 34F; 3 Charm, Courage and Academics - 1 Rank 5, 1 Rank 4, 4 Rank 3, 2 Rank 2, 1 Rank 1 Social Links - 12% Compendium - 13 Elizabeth's Requests);
Trails in the Sky 1st (went around Bose, did a request and advanced the story; Junior Rank 7 9/40, 12/?? Requests - Rewards 36/??, Achievements 6/43 - Recipe Standard 1/28 and Specialty 1/30);
Nice, happy for those interested in watching it this way (not me included, I'll stick to regular cinemas) - looking forward to actually seeing it in trailers first and foremost and then the movie itself when it comes out!
11/12 (got the Splatoon Raiders name wrong), currently 1st out of 11, only me on the Leaderboard and my time is 01:30 - big fan of quizzes here on Nintendo Life in general, but even more so these monthly ones (both as in them being regular that way and considering that them being about gaming news is perfect for Nintendo Life)!
Thanks for writing an article about this, looks great - glad it has already smashed its goal, but I'm definitely supporting it on Kickstarter myself (most likely I'll just go for a digital copy plus extras, but it's great that there's also a physical release for those interested in that)!
Glad to have read now the full interview (thanks Nintendo Life in general and Ollie in particular for it) - quite interesting as usual and I'm so looking forward to this whole trilogy!
So glad others here have already called out the nonsense of those complaining about such internal resolutions while completely disregarding that this is exactly the point of DLSS - anyway, so looking forward to my copy of Rebirth to arrive and then playing it immediately after Remake (haven't started that yet, but want to do so as soon as possible)!
Considering that (and yeah, also how quickly Rebirth is getting released on Switch 2 as others and I already suspected) it's definitely coming sooner rather than later although of course there's more to do before it's ready for the public - so looking forward to playing this whole trilogy starting with Remake as soon as I can!
Fingers crossed for a Switch 2 Edition or at least an update/upgrade instead of a completely separate release - anyway, looking forward to seeing what this ends up being when it gets announced unless plans change (and yes, I'd also love to see Pushmo/Pullblox finally coming back, but as already mentioned that depends on Intelligent Systems other than Nintendo)!
@garfreek Nope, unfortunately missed them back in the day (as in my parents didn't get them for my older siblings, I wasn't born yet) and I haven't even just played them on emulator like I did with DuckTales, they're one of the many reasons why I was really hoping the Disney Afternoon Collection would eventually come also to Switch - glad to hear you got and loved them as a kid!
Pretty adorable indeed although I hope we'll see more regular sets with minifigures, too (if I'm ever getting Lego Animal Crossing ones those are my priority) - anyway, hope those going for this will enjoy it!
Interesting to hear the percentages of players' preferences depending on the different characters/parts of the game - anyway, so glad there are such options, personally I'll stick to third person for sure (as much as I've overall quite enjoyed Prime Remastered I'm still not a fan of first person)!
My copy of Shuten Order has already arrived, also preordered all the highlighted games and some of the other ones like Tales of Arise and Disney Afternoon (have to check if Bubsy 4D etc. will be available also here in Italy) while Outbound and The Witch's Bakery I should get digital copies of as I've supported them on Kickstarter - quite busy months, especially May, when it comes to game releases and I couldn't be happier!
I'd get it myself if there were a digital-only option available and so without quite further increasing its cost due to shipping (that used to be the case for Ninty Media publications, but now for some reason it isn't anymore) - anyway, it certainly looks great and I hope those going for it will enjoy it!
Too bad there's no way to disable autosaving and manually saving based on a quick search, I'd immediately do that since I prefer the latter method anyway and in this case I'd also avoid the micro freezes - regardless, really happy to hear that based on what people have played so far for these previews this is yet another overall strong port and that more and more are finally acknowledging how capable Switch 2 is for the kind of console it is... of course as long as devs can (both as in them being capable of doing so and allowed to) properly optimize their games for it just like in this case apparently!

On my own I'll continue with my schedule:
Re: The Live-Action Zelda Movie Is Coming To IMAX
Nice, happy for those interested in watching it this way (not me included, I'll stick to regular cinemas) - looking forward to actually seeing it in trailers first and foremost and then the movie itself when it comes out!
Re: How Well Do You Remember April's Gaming News? Our Quiz Of The Month
Re: Move Over, Indy - This New Game Boy Color Indie Wants Some 'Fortune & Glory'
Thanks for writing an article about this, looks great - glad it has already smashed its goal, but I'm definitely supporting it on Kickstarter myself (most likely I'll just go for a digital copy plus extras, but it's great that there's also a physical release for those interested in that)!
Re: Feature: "It's Rare For Me To Make Downtime" - Naoki Hamaguchi Talks Final Fantasy VII's "Packed And Eventful" Development
Glad to have read now the full interview (thanks Nintendo Life in general and Ollie in particular for it) - quite interesting as usual and I'm so looking forward to this whole trilogy!
Re: Final Fantasy VII Rebirth's Internal Resolution Detailed For Switch 2
So glad others here have already called out the nonsense of those complaining about such internal resolutions while completely disregarding that this is exactly the point of DLSS - anyway, so looking forward to my copy of Rebirth to arrive and then playing it immediately after Remake (haven't started that yet, but want to do so as soon as possible)!
Re: Final Fantasy VII Director Has Already Completed "Over 40 Full Playthroughs" Of The Third Game
Considering that (and yeah, also how quickly Rebirth is getting released on Switch 2 as others and I already suspected) it's definitely coming sooner rather than later although of course there's more to do before it's ready for the public - so looking forward to playing this whole trilogy starting with Remake as soon as I can!
Re: New 'BOXBOY! + BOXGIRL!' Rating Spotted In Taiwan
Re: Upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 Games & Accessories For May & June 2026
@garfreek Nope, unfortunately missed them back in the day (as in my parents didn't get them for my older siblings, I wasn't born yet) and I haven't even just played them on emulator like I did with DuckTales, they're one of the many reasons why I was really hoping the Disney Afternoon Collection would eventually come also to Switch - glad to hear you got and loved them as a kid!
Re: Animal Crossing's Timmy & Tommy Are Getting Their Own LEGO Set This August
Pretty adorable indeed although I hope we'll see more regular sets with minifigures, too (if I'm ever getting Lego Animal Crossing ones those are my priority) - anyway, hope those going for this will enjoy it!
Re: Resident Evil Requiem Director Breaks Down Players' Camera Preferences
Interesting to hear the percentages of players' preferences depending on the different characters/parts of the game - anyway, so glad there are such options, personally I'll stick to third person for sure (as much as I've overall quite enjoyed Prime Remastered I'm still not a fan of first person)!
Re: Upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 Games & Accessories For May & June 2026
My copy of Shuten Order has already arrived, also preordered all the highlighted games and some of the other ones like Tales of Arise and Disney Afternoon (have to check if Bubsy 4D etc. will be available also here in Italy) while Outbound and The Witch's Bakery I should get digital copies of as I've supported them on Kickstarter - quite busy months, especially May, when it comes to game releases and I couldn't be happier!
Re: POKEBOOK Is Taking You Back To Kanto For Pokémon's 30th Anniversary Year
I'd get it myself if there were a digital-only option available and so without quite further increasing its cost due to shipping (that used to be the case for Ninty Media publications, but now for some reason it isn't anymore) - anyway, it certainly looks great and I hope those going for it will enjoy it!
Re: Round Up: The Previews Are In For Indiana Jones And The Great Circle (Switch 2)
