Each one has something unique going for it in terms of contents, in particular Europe/North America a level as the background while Japan all the playable Yoshis (both have Baby Mario and Green Yoshi, an NPC be it either an enemy or a helper and technically eggs even though only one as part of the title in the former) - considering all that first and foremost and also aesthetically I'm giving a slight edge to Japan, but honestly both are great!
Unless something goes wrong (fingers crossed it doesn't) this is confirmed then, love to see it - looking forward to the official announcement and then most likely playing it myself whenever it comes out, definitely interested in playing more Rayman games and properly this time between this, Rayman 2 on NSO and Legends beyond what I played of the latter one at a friend's house back in the day!
Should play the MySims games already on Switch first and foremost also considering that I already have them but still, would love a new one - fingers crossed this ends up being confirmed!
First and foremost happy 40th anniversary Dragon Ball and nice that they're announcing a new game for it (even more so since Toriyama-sensei worked on it that much) - looking forward to seeing/hearing more of that and then it coming out potentially next year, the Sparking Zero DLC in general on Switch 1 and 2 and this one in particular considering the characters etc. included and whatever else they have in store for this occasion!
@mackers84 At least an estimate is possible although I (and others as well, both this time and past ones) still think that Nintendo Life make these polls way too close to the release of games - anyway, glad to hear you enjoyed this game that much so far and yep, I expect I'll feel practically the same about it!
In addition to everything already mentioned in the article, delays definitely help reducing crunch to at least an extent unlike locked releases back in the day - considering all that I don't mind delays at all, but what could be done is avoiding announcing precise release dates until games are much closer to completion and no, that doesn't mean they have to be shadow dropped and certainly not Team Cherry's near silence as regular updates are definitely part of the solution to this problem (of course then it's also up to people actually caring for games and even more so their developers, but unfortunately there are still way too many who don't based on their reactions and not just when games get delayed)...
Guess those who have already played this elsewhere will be able to score it now, not sure how those getting it for the first time on Switch 2 are supposed to do so this soon... Leaving that aside, I also expect that I'll quite like it based on what I've seen and heard of it (as in both the game in general and this version in particular) whenever my copy arrives and I play it myself - looking forward to finally properly starting mainline Final Fantasy with it!
Glad this has a somewhat more precise release period for those interested in it (still not particularly me included) - so happy to see more and more games getting Switch 2 updates, upgrades etc.!
Fingers crossed it eventually comes also to Switch in general and also personally as if it does I'll give it a try myself for sure (in the meantime I'm definitely giving the Darkside Detective games a shot when I can) - glad to hear you enjoyed it so much!
Didn't notice it at first because of the name change and despite the thumbnail, but I've got also Escape from Ever After as I've supported it on Kickstarter (in fact, I've just received my key) - so looking forward to playing it when I have the time for it and even more so considering what others mentioned about it here!
Tonight I'm seeing my friends, not sure what we'll play. Maybe before that and tomorrow for sure I'll continue with my schedule of alternating between:
Fitness Boxing (3, did the daily workout once; 3 did 4 Box-and-Bond for Lin - FotNS did Battle Mode);
Ring Fit Adventure (did 1 level of World 13; 8 Worlds completed and 4 finished);
GameCenter CX (continued the 8th game; first GameCenter CX and 7 Games of the second one completed, second GameCenter CX 2 Games finished);
Freedom Planet 2 (did 1 stage as Carol; Story as Lilac - 21/63 Badges);
Dragon Quest III (started the 18th dungeon; 17 Dungeons, 102 Mini Medals);
Legends Arceus (continued going around to catch all Pokémon; 26/27 Missions and 87/122 Requests completed - Pokédex 231 Seen, 220 Caught and 128 Max Research Level);
Xenoblade Chronicles X (did that basic mission, those normal ones and so finally got the Skell License - also did an unrelated basic one; 6/?? Chapters, 19/?? Affinity, 45/?? Normal, 44/?? Basic Missions and 41/?? Heart-to-Hearts - Mira 22,05% - 85/204 Story, 35/315 Combat and 60/222 World Achievements);
Guardians of Azuma (advanced the story and so started exploring a new sky island - also did some bonding quests; 102/?? Main, 92/?? Bonding Quests - 73/?? Bestiary - 16/45 PescaPedia - 19/36 Quests, 4/6 Battles, 2/16 Bonds, 5/8 Everyday Life and 5/7 Kamiwaza Seals);
Fantasy Life i (did several Life quests and so ranked up the Farmer Life - also did a request; 5 Chapters - Lives 1 Expert 13 Adept Rank - 48 Personal Requests - 48/147 Monsters, 63/138 Resources, 13/49 Strangelings, 13/50 Characters);
Mario Kart World (did a Grand Prix and continued Free Roam; Mirror Three Stars 4 Grand Prix - 16 ? Panels, 36 P Switches and 10 Peach Medallions in Free Roam - 100 Characters, 40 Vehicles and 260 Stickers);
Soul Calibur II (continued Sub-Chapter 4 in Weapon Master; Arcade as 1 character - Weapon Master finished, 6 Chapters and 2 Sub-Chapters completed);
Street Fighter 6 (finished Trial at SiRN for now in World Tour; World Tour 8 Chapters and 18 Sidequests);
Yakuza 0 (continued Chapter 11 - also did some substories and continued the business; 10 Chapters - 24.60% Completion, 20/79 Adventure, 34/84 Battle, 21/99 Business, 7/27 Substories, 10/85 Minigames);
Yes please to more characters starting with Sonic and in general Sega ones (personally don't mind the third-party ones either, but the former have priority for me also considering that they should be easier to include), absolutely including deep cuts - in the meantime, looking forward to Tangle and Whisper, yet another reminder that I really should check out the IDW comics when I can!
Unfortunate but it makes sense considering how long Konno-san worked at Nintendo and regardless, wish him the best going forward - thanks for everything indeed, both the memories of the games I've already played and future ones of those I haven't yet (or at least haven't finished myself, looking forward to finally finishing Super Mario Bros. 2, Yoshi's Island etc. whenever I replay them for my channel)!
Fingers crossed it happens for those interested in playing this on Switch 2 (potentially me included although I haven't checked out its recent showcasing yet - one more reason for me to do so when I can)!
Expected another Direct about the Galaxy Movie, just not now and even less so on a Sunday (considering it's happening when I usually stream I'll watch it later) - anyway, looking forward to it!
People making informed purchases matters more than aesthetic to me (not that I particularly mind this and other Switch 2 box arts in the first place, but that's besides the point) - even less of a "issue" since people can just buy this and other Nintendo games physically and then the upgrade digitally to have the original box art...
Love to hear it for those interested in playing Rocket League on Switch 2 (potentially me included at some point, with my friends if they ever want to play it again together and/or occasionally for my channel)!
Looks great, happy for those going for Alex and the Season 3 DLC in general (potentially me included at some point, but for now I'm just playing World Tour anyway and luckily he should be available there without getting that if previous characters are any indication)!
Nice, happy for those playing Legends Z-A (so glad the previous Mega Stones regularly come back so I'll be able to get them myself whenever I can play it myself)!
One thing is wondering if the single-player content will be enough for you personally and even more so if you're not interested in the multiplayer like luckily most are doing here, but why are there still some acting as if there's none of the former when Nintendo teased it in the very first trailer and they've now talked about it in more detail in the latest one? @Dogorilla I can see where you're coming from and even agree to an extent (I'm so glad the New Horizons Switch 2 Edition and free update are the way they are), but on the flip side most including Nintendo Life's review complained about that lacking contents and despite its low price - sorry, but I can't help feeling that whatever Nintendo do they're damned if they do and damned if they don't...
Of course, getting the upgrade as soon as it comes out since I already have a Switch physical copy of Wonder and will try to get all three amiibo - so looking forward to going back to this game (both on my own for the single-player contents and on my channel for the multiplayer first and eventually replaying the whole single player, too)!
Not particularly surprised - again, New Horizons is regularly in the top 10 in the Japanese charts - but still, love to see the Switch 2 Edition on top and the Switch one in 4th (too bad games sold less in general, but most likely it's just because it's January)! Also personally happy for Mario Kart World in 2nd, Legends Z-A in 3rd and 5th, Momotaro Dentetsu in 6th and 7th, Air Riders in 8th, Bananza in 10th and of course Switch 2 on top and selling that much but still followed by Switch, this time the Lite one instead of the OLED!
@AstroTheGamosian According also to this press release, this bonus is exclusively for the digital version (so on the eShop/Nintendo's site for those getting it on Switch 2) - on the other hand, the physical one includes a Magic Final Fantasy booster pack!
Too bad for the digital artbook and soundtrack, but I've already preordered a copy and I got the port of the original FF7 back in the day (would be great if you could upgrade to the Deluxe version like for other games like Fantasy Life i etc. although I doubt it will ever be possible in this case) - anyway, hope those interested in getting this including the bonus game will be able to get it in time!
Preordered a copy of FF7 Remake, will eventually get Dynasty Warriors Origins and Sail Forth for sure, maybe also Isekai Rondo now that I know it exists and it got a Switch 2 Edition (seems overall nice based on a quick search, will look further into it) and that should be it!
Pretty cool, happy for those interested in this - not particularly me included, I'll focus on Nintendo Lego that you can play with for my niece... other than of course as collectibles for me (and even more so since I got a Lego Mario Standard Kart as a Christmas gift)!
Thanks, was curious about this (beyond the obvious GameCube games and also GRID Legends considering the previous articles about it) - glad analog trigger support is available on Switch 1 and 2 at least in this way for those interested, fingers crossed more games will include it in the future, too!
And yet again the data when considered globally and not cherry-picked proves the Switch 2 doomers wrong - of course those will be back whenever they can do the latter for the sake of their narrative (and also profits in certain cases), but I hope everyone else won't entertain them anymore!
Lol that trailer although it really shows the difference between previous Bubsy games and this one (and not just according to what is said, the footage speaks for itself) - so glad it now has a release date, I'm absolutely getting one of the physical editions myself since it will be available also here in Europe being by Atari and as shown by the image here!
Yep, supported this on Kickstarter myself, looking forward to it - glad that it's now confirmed also for Switch 2 (wonder if supporters me included will be able to get that version, we'll see)!
Watched the trailer first and foremost now that it's on YouTube and so also in the articles here (and yep, as expected looking forward to this Switch 2 Edition even more than I already was after doing so) - as for the amiibo themselves I love them so I'll try my best to get them all!
It's hilarious that we're getting a real Talking Flower, absolutely interested in getting one myself at some point if I can (even more so now that it's confirmed it will keep quiet at night - had no doubt that would be the case but still, better safe than sorry)!
Looking forward to watching the trailer whenever it comes out also on YouTube etc. and gets added to this article - in the meantime, thanks for telling us about it and its contents, even more excited than I already was to go back to Wonder as soon as this Switch 2 Edition comes out (so glad it now has a precise release date and even more so considering that it's relatively soon) and most likely I'll get the amiibo, too!

Unfortunate to hear, wish the best to Tanabe-san for his retirement - thank you for all the memories, both of the games I've already played and also future ones whenever I play those I haven't yet (absolutely including Prime 4)!

Would be great to know exactly what they changed, but if moving event themes from the game server into the files is included like in previous updates that's great - regardless, hope this will make Tetris 99 even better for those playing it (potentially me included occasionally, most likely on stream just like last time)!
This is the perfect example of (Generative) AI not being the problem in itself, it's who uses it and how - unfortunate although not surprising at all that Ubisoft is among those making the worst decisions even beyond the use of that unlike Larian and so on... All that said I'm sorry, but completely stopping getting their games including ones made before this and without judging case by case certainly won't improve their workers' situation, in fact it can only worsen it!
Considering Hamaguchi-san and co.'s work on Remake most likely the following games will be overall pretty good (although of course with bigger compromises to at least an extent due to how they work as mentioned also by the article) other than of course without different gameplay - so looking forward to playing the former myself when my copy arrives and as soon as I can while the latter whenever they come out!
Yeah, waiting for development to be complete before offering games would definitely be for the best to avoid such situations - fingers crossed those who still have this preordered will get it sooner rather than later (personally, I was going to get this digitally anyway, even without these issues I seriously doubt it would've been available here in Italy without importing it and so quite increasing its cost)!
Not particularly surprising even leaving aside everything else Ubisoft is currently doing considering how long ago it got announced but still, sad to hear - that said, how I wish more companies realized that they don't always have to remake older games as they can rerelease them also as remasters, ports etc. (and having them available on contemporary platforms is what matters first and foremost to me and most certainly many others, too)!
Bananza was less of a surprise since they had already added Thai as a supported language to it, Mario Kart World more so - anyway and again, happy for those who needed or even just wanted Polish, hope they'll have fun playing this game, too (personally I definitely am and by the way, team races for Knockout Tour online and wireless is another great addition along with the usual fixes... man how I wish that weren't just a mistranslation and Kamek were actually playable, it's perfectly possible regardless of the item similar to Lakitu)!
Glad for those who needed or even just wanted Polish to practice it etc. as already mentioned, hope they'll enjoy Bananza - personally, I absolutely love the game, can't wait to play more of the postgame and start Emerald Rush as part of my gaming schedule (not sure if I'll be able to also take part in the latest event considering the latter, we'll see)!
Nice changes (especially the Mega Shards limit as already mentioned by others) and fixes - happy for those playing Legends Z-A and looking forward to doing so myself when I can!

Re: Prince Of Persia Team Behind Cancelled Sands Of Time Remake Shares Final Message
Re: Mario Kart World Has Been Updated To Version 1.5.0, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
Re: Donkey Kong Bananza's First Update Of 2026 Is Now Available, Here's What's Included
Re: Pokémon Legends Z-A Version 2.0.1 Is Now Live, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
Nice changes (especially the Mega Shards limit as already mentioned by others) and fixes - happy for those playing Legends Z-A and looking forward to doing so myself when I can!
