Where's Hitman? Been having a lot of fun with it on Switch 2.

I like the road trip style intermissions so this doesn't bother me too much. However I do hope Nintendo adds some sort of separate lobby where lap races are guaranteed.

See I'm fine with Smash because it's a crossover game. But this is a racing game with Sonic at the forefront so I don't like the focus on outside franchises.

I would genuinely prefer Marine, Mephiles, and even Elise over Nick characters.

Not happy about this in the slightest. I don't care about Nickelodeon shows and would rather they not flood the roster. Wish this game stuck to having actual Sonic characters. I get WHY because Paramount likely wanted their characters in this game since they have the rights to the Sonic movie but I genuinely do not care about SpongeBob, TMNT, or Airbender so this doesn't do anything for me.

Really hoping they add actual Sonic characters like Ray, Mighty, Sticks, Shade, Tikal, Honey, and the Hooligans.

Poppy Kong looks so cool! Glad to see more female villains in Mario franchise games.

The market for mainstream fighting games is absolutely present on Nintendo hardware. Hopefully we get Tekken 8 and Fatal Fury COTW as well soon!

I'd be happy with a remastered edition of Black Ops 2 honestly. I enjoyed it on my Wii U and would love it on Switch 2 with all the DLC the Wii U version never received.

I still want to play Nuketown Zombies and Mob of the Dead. Give us Zombies Chronicles while you're at it!

I cannot wait for this. I have 3k hours on Switch Fortnite and now my shackles will be removed with 60fps!

Agreed. This is why I like that Smash is 100% video games only. Crossovers become less special when "anything goes". Fortnite has made things worse.

Eh not too excited for this. Not a fan of SpongeBob anymore and I also don't care about TMNT, ATLA, or Minecraft.

Would rather the Sonic game focus on Sonic characters but that's just me.

Shame that we'll never get another cool stylish game like TWEWY from SE.

Thank God. Being able to skip those repetitive animations is something I've been waiting for.

Let's just hope Injustice 3 runs better on Switch 2.

Agreed. Link was already pushing for me given how realistic he is compared to Mario characters. I absolutely would not want Fire Emblem characters like Marth or Xenoblade characters like Pyra in Mario Kart. They're far too realistic and would clash heavily with the cartoonish setting of Mario.

And this is coming from a huge fan of Fire Emblem and Xenoblade. Not everything needs to be a crossover.

The other problem is that many RPG characters simply don't have 3D models so it creates extra work for the design team. This is unlike the Cow, Pianta, and all the enemies who have tons of 3D models to work with.

Granted, Baby Peach is an RPG character (first appearing in Partners In Time), but Nintendo likely considers her an exception to the rule given how closely tied she is to Yoshi's Island and due to how infinitely more marketable a baby version of Princess Peach is compared to Geno, Goombella, or Fawful.

Still waiting on actual Kingdom Hearts ports. As a Smash player I want to know what exactly the big deal behind Sora and his games are but I refuse to pay for lame cloud versions. 🙄

Not sure if I want an Injustice 3 from them at this point. WB's gaming division has proved themselves to be woefully incompetent. Between MK1, Kill The Justice League, and Multiversus, absolutely nothing they've made recently has gone well aside from Hogwarts.

And it's telling which of these games was the most successful because Hogwarts is the only one of the four so far to be confirmed to have a Switch 2 edition.

Not giving Zarya a skin based on Marisa makes this a 0/10.

I can say for certain that Gaku's freakouts will mellow out rather soon. His character develops very early on because Takumi is there to listen to his problems.

And Darumi is someone you'll get used to I think. She's actually rather kind and willing to pull her weight despite her "Himiko Toga"-like nature.

Nice of them to shout out a much smaller release. Academy being a Switch console exclusive (and thus avoiding competition since EX33 isn't on Switch) has probably helped it quite a bit. Hopefully PS5 and Xbox versions release later when things are less hectic.

And I'm currently on day 30 and the game is fun. The combat is actually somewhat challenging and each character having different abilities reminds me a lot of Valkyria Chronicles 4. Media.Vision (the developers of VC4) worked on Academy so that's probably why.

Make Silver playable or no buy.

Really hoping this game does well. Tactical RPGs that aren't Fire Emblem need more attention.

Yeah I don't get all the hate for it. Fortnite is a big game and it's gonna bring in more Switch 2 owners especially with the improved performance from Switch 1.

Between Street Fighter 6 and Hitman WOA alone, this is the best 3rd party launch lineup imo.

The fact that a portable device is capable of mimicking PS5 games is astounding. Can't wait to get my hands on this!

I think the big thing that World has over 8 for me is the character animations and expressions. Even down to the character selection screen.

In 8, the characters are already sitting inside/on their vehicles on the select screen which means we never see them standing otherwise. The last time Mario Kart had a character select screen that had the characters animated outside of their vehicles was way back in Mario Kart Wii and even then, most of them reused animations from Double Dash's selection screen which means we haven't had new out-of-kart animations in over 20 years!

World bringing back the selection screen with each character having a little animation as they wait to be selected is so charming and cute! A lot of effort seems to have been put into this game and I can't wait!

The best acquisition Nintendo has ever made.

True but considering it's an Apple exclusive game, the vast majority of Sonic fans simply haven't played it and don't care.

Cream being up here is a result of her being absent for so long that fans are genuinely are excited to see her return. I also imagine a lot of people are happy that there's another female character outside of Amy, Blaze, and Rouge being brought back into the fray.

And again, she was playable in Riders but none of the car-based Sonic racers, so her fans are happy to see her finally racing in a car for the first time. The idea that she's "too young" or "can't drive a car" has finally been debunked for good.

Cream being 3rd may seem surprising, but it makes a lot of sense. Not counting that one Apple Arcade game, Cream has been absent from the franchise since Generations which is well over a decade old at this point. This is also her first appearance in a Sonic Racing game since Free Riders in 2010 (15 years ago!). It's abundantly clear that everyone's been clamoring for her return and this popularity poll proves it.

Hoping she permanently returns in all Sonic games going forward. Cream was always one of my favorites.

Yeah they may be part of the "Xeno" franchise, but each series is its own franchise essentially. Not to mention that Square and Namco still like to pretend that Gears and Saga don't exist for the most part.

My personal ranking is:

1. Xenoblade 3/FR
2. Xenoblade 2/Torna
3. Xenoblade X
4. Xenoblade 1

1/DE's combat is the weakest but has the best story pacing, X's combat is some of the best, but has the least interesting story, 2's combat, world, and characters were my favorite of the series though the pacing is very slow at the start, and 3 overall has the best mix of everything but some of the worst villains ever.

Still my favorite RPG and Nintendo franchise though.

Star Wars fans cannot catch a break with recent online games. Between the awful BF2 remaster and this, I feel bad for fans of this franchise. Limiting the release to Switch and mobile also didn't help. You can't compete with a system that already has Splatoon, Fortnite, and Overwatch playable on it.

And yeah as others have pointed out, it's so funny that this game has been listed on the eShop for longer than it will have been playable.

This game is officially in a worse state than Overwatch. Literally the only thing keeping it alive is the fanart of the characters. Utterly despise how they treated Mike Z.

I love it. As a Xenoblade fan, this is the first time that a Pokemon game has looked appealing to me (outside of Pokken and Unite) so I might give this one a try as my first "mainline" Pokemon game.

As a Wonder Woman fan, I'm so upset by this. The fact that the most iconic female superhero still doesn't have her own video game or animated series is just plain wrong and WB should be ashamed of themselves for mistreating such a beloved character. There's more to DC comics than just Batman. :/

Okay the fact that Extreme Gear is its own playstyle has me sold as a Riders fan. I'm in.

As a big fan of NIS games, I'm sad to hear this. I hope his family and everyone at the company can take time to grieve. Their games always made me laugh during sad points in my life and I appreciate their work. Rest in peace.

Sweet! Can't wait to see what's next from them! Xenoblade is my favourite RPG series.

That aside, I wonder if Nintendo will be able to use the Xenoblade engine for Pokemon or Star Fox now.
