Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Gets A Release Date For Switch 2

Very much looking forward to this game getting more recognition, I can totally see it launching at $40/50. Incredible experience.

i am very curious how this one will look on the handheld. on steam deck was pretty blurry.

Wow, talk about fast! Hopefully it’s as polished as Remake.

Great game and a huge win for the “Nintendo-only” crowd.

I finished it on PS5, but I now have the PC version as well - though I have yet to really get to it - I’m in no rush.

This is incredible, and a nice time to release! The FF7Remake has been blowing me away on Switch 2.

Finished it on PS5 and can't wait to dive in again in handheld. Solid title and coming much earlier than I expected.

@Sindayl Depends what you want. Remake was very linear and story focused, by design.

Rebirth is more open with many optional side quests and minigames.

I loved both games but Rebirth is the highlight of the 2 for me.

Just started the first part. Definitely going to get the second. Already loving it. I am playing with Japanese voice-overs and absolutely love revisiting this wondrous world from the first Final Fantasy game I ever played.

Much sooner than expected. Makes me wonder if the third entry will launch simultaneously with the PS5 version barring any Sony timed exclusivity. It would be a good get for us for a day and date launch

@Darthmoogle yes, I was shocked at the release date as well. However, it jives with the team’s desire to get these titles out on the Switch 2 as quickly as possible. It looks like it plays very well on the device too. I’m impressed!

Surprised it's coming out way sooner. This could only mean imminent part 3 announcement shortly after

This looks quite impressive. I already have the game for PC so I won't be getting it for Switch 2, but happy for those who are.

That’s fast! Getting Remake and Rebirth in such quick succession will probably make the wait for Part 3 that much harder!

@Nao120 Well, FF XVI runs on a completely different engine that may or may not support Switch 2. I think it's also a fairly demanding game.

Just finished Remake, and am eagerly awaiting playing this again. Really glad they are getting it out so quick. It looks good from what we have seen so far.

I'm still playing through this game as they announced this. Gonna double dip since FF7 Rebirth is an awesome game.

@KoopaTheGamer True but people were saying the same as well especially when saying "FF7 Rebirth and 16 will be the real test" and looks like Square managed to run FF7 Rebirth so im having hope for FF16 as well

Square Enix has some truly impressive optimization ability for Switch 2. The game looks great!

From what little they showed this looks very impressive graphically

Hi guys. The eShop says FF7 Rebirth clocks in at 102GB! I said it before and I will say it again: If you plan to have a large digital library on your S2, an 1TB mSD Express Card is pretty much mandatory.

Jeez. 102gb. That's still less than my copy on PC, but still glad I got my express card when I did.
