I mean, the next movie is scheduled to release on 4/3/26... I feel like this weekend would be a great time to drop a premiere teaser trailer.

Oh man, so many things id like to see, but im trying to keep my expectations tempered so whatever happens is fine with me.

Xenoblade Chronicles X Switch 2 upgrade. If there's one upgrade thats announced, thats the one im hoping for.

I really hope we get Metroid Prime news... any news. Whether that be a shadow drop, Metroid Prime 2 & 3 switch versions, or delay to 2026... any confirmation would be appreciated.

I'll be very curious to see what Microsoft has in store for us too. Games like Call of Duty, Oblivion, Gears, Halo and South of Midnight, Outer Worlds 2, Avowed, Starfield, Fallout would all be welcomed.

Maybe Expedition 33 and Metaphor announcement, too?

Thats not even getting into the Mario 40th anniversary talk. I dont think they'll show a new game (just my opinion, but i hope im wrong!), but Switch 2 upgrades to other Mario titles like Thousand Year Door? Maybe a re-release of Mario 3D All Stars with a Galaxy 2 DLC? Galaxy 2 standalone? All seems more likely to me.

Wow, a collection of notoriously bad games got a bad score? Im shocked... SHOCKED!!

I remember renting a Bubsy game on the SNES, and even at a young age, I knew I never wanted to play it again.

I do get that bad games should be preserved too, but me personally, I can't justify this at any price. This isn't going to help sell the masses on the latest Bubsy game, haha.

It seems pretty clear that the Switch 2 is the preferred handheld way to play Outlaws. The ROG Ally X could not provide an enjoyable, playable experience with numerous tweaks to the settings in the demo they offered.

This bodes well for future open world games. Hopefully Elden Ring will be improved upon by the time it releases too.

I anticipate price drops for the holiday season for this and Cyberpunk, so thats where ill probably pick up the Switch 2 versions of each.

Nice selection of Switch 2 titles this week. I may bite on Star Wars Outlaws eventually since the performance sounds fairly stable. I'll definitely be getting silksong, but probably on Xbox purely for the Xbox Play Anywhere function. Few more days of earning Microsoft points and ill be able to get it for free!

The early reports of subpar performance is starting to sound like classic Ubi dissing at this point. Glad its a solid port. Hard to justify current price with 50% regularly off on other versions, so i may wait for a sale. Will need a SD express card soon too!

@jfp - Was thinking the same thing. I saw the subhead and sighed. We get it, game key cards arent liked. By placing more emphasis on it, it almost negates the positives no matter how good they may be.

Man, I played this on the ROG Ally X and it played terribly. Lots of stutter and graphical glitches, but the Switch 2 version seems to be running decent enough. I do love me some Star Wars, so I'll be curious what the reviews say.

I picked a heck of a time to play the Castlevania Dominus Collection. Made it through 2 of the 3 main games, and playing Order of Ecclesia now. I'll probably get Silksong around October/November to give myself a Metroidvania buffer. Still excited about it though!

Having played the demo, I could see myself getting into this, despite never playing a prior game. I would probably wait for a deep discount though.

I found it ran better docked than handheld pretty notably, and i typically play handheld most of the time. As for the controls, they definitely felt off at times, but after a few hours, it wasn't too bad.

Hopefully they'll be some future patches that iron out the kinks.

Picked up UFO 50 & No Mans Sky Switch 2 edition yesterday for the long weekend. Probably didn't need to since im only at Sublayer 500 on DKB, but I like a little variety.

Downloaded and played a few grand prix races to see how it is. Played on Switch 2 docked, although this version is the Switch 1 version.

It was actually fairly enjoyable, but not enough for me to purchase. Im not super big into racing/competitive games these days, but im glad to have had the chance to try it.

I dont think Nintendo will release it in December, so its either getting shadow dropped like MP Remastered or its getting pushed to 2026.

Guessing is fun, but I guess we'll find out at that rumored Direct next month! 😋

To add, what about Metroid Prime 2 & 3?!

I've played through to the ending several times across the Xbox and switch versions ovee the years... so im good to go for silksong already!

I'm having a blast with Bananza. My daughter loves it so much that she won't let me play unless she can watch. When she's not around, I go back to 100% levels she's already seen, haha. Working out good so far!

Don't know of SwitchForce's accuracy regarding rumors... so ill just stick with my own internal general dialogue... 'A Nintendo Direct will happen sometime in the future' 😋

Definitely has my interest now. Portable gaming on Switch and the ROG Ally X has completely renewed my love for RPGs, and if the Switch 2 version runs smoothly, I would choose that over having to tinker with the PC settings to figure my preferred settings for performance.

With maybe the exception of Doom the Dark Ages, any of those others running at 30-40 fps would be more than acceptable. Playing Doom on the original Switch, while playable, was just not as frantic and fun as playing it at 60 fps.

I saw an article on another site within the last few days that a Switch 2 version of Expedition 33 is 'under consideration', per the dev team. Hoping to see that one sometime in 2026!

Probably going to be a light gaming weekend, with home projects/repairs and studying to retain national credentials for my job taking precedent.

If I can whittle those down, Bananza will be my go to. I did recently start a file on Castlevania Portrait of Ruin on the Dominus Collection too, so I could hop on there for a few too.

Man, im still cracking packs for the current expansion to get all the diamond level cards. My luck hasnt been great, and when I get rare cards, they are dups, so ill have lots to trade when the new pack is live.

Radio silence probably wasn't the ideal way to handle, but i guess I understand where they're coming from. It'll probably work out in their favor too, because the anticipation for the game is at absurd levels that most companies could only wish they could achieve.

Not sure if ill be there on day one, or if I get it on Switch 2, but ill definitely be there!

Definitely excited for this. Handheld gaming feels perfect for RPGs, and FFVII is no exception.

Handheld mode definitely sees dips in performance on Switch 2. I just got done playing the Romancing Saga and Daemon x Machina demos both handheld and docked, and I was pretty surprised now notably different they are. Elden Ring in handheld playing less than ideal isnt surprising now.

I remember renting mythologies back in the day... twice! At the time, I thought it was cool. Not so much now, lol.

I was watching the gameplay on the Xbox showcase and it looks so cool. Glad to hear its coming this year to the Switch consoles!

@Johnny44 - I remember seeing that reported too. There is a picture above of a MP4 banner, so its probably there in some capacity.

After the Air Riders release date was revealed, im getting increasingly concerned that MP4 is going to slip to 2026.

Never played a Daemon x Machina game before, but ive sunk about 2 hours into the demo and im starting to enjoy it a bit. Getting the hang of the controls and the customization options are nice, but I dont think this is enough to sway me to purchase. Perhaps in the future at a discount I'd consider it though.

For some reason, playing Starfield handheld on the ROG Ally X was a far better experience for me than on console. I lost interest twice on console, but once I played on a handheld, I easily sunk in over 100 hours. Won't double dip, but happy that its possibly coming to Switch 2.

Downloading the demo for Daemon X Machina to see what that's all about.

As for Indy, ill need to see specs before I dip into that. Im leaning towards the Xbox Play Anywhere purchase so I can play it on the ROG Ally X, but I heard performance wasn't too good at launch.

The quietness from Team Cherry all this time makes me think there was some sort of ongoing legal issue or something that prevented them from talking about it. Guess we'll find out!

Great presentation. Never played the first game, but it basically looked like Mario Kart and Smash Bros mashed together. That's not a knock on it at all, but I'll probably end up skipping it as I'm not much of a multiplayer gamer anymore. Theres going to be a lot of people that thoroughly enjoy it though!

Definitely surprised that its only Kirby Air Riders... especially with that run time. Was really thinking Nintendo would have a full blown Direct this week to shore up the holidays. Regardless, ill definitely be watching.

I finally beat Tears of the Kingdom last night! I started a playthrough when it first came out, but just fell off it about halfway through the game. Decided to start over once the Switch 2 edition came out and wasn't disappointed.

Looks like I can finally start playing Bananza now!

@JTurner - I was joking to a degree. I know Nintendo will be at Gamescom and nearly half the titles confirmed for their booth dont even have release dates, just release windows (MP4, Elden Ring, FFVII, Hades II). That seems surprising to me... so I purposely jumped to a 'Direct' conclusion, haha.

Love that this is available, but ill probably pick it up on Xbox since its a Play Anywhere title... meaning ill have it for ROG Ally X too! The less violent games I can have accessible on the Switch 1 & 2 for my daughter, the better.

Thanks for the review! While I see little reason to get this myself, I am happy that it exists. Quirky pieces of software that utilize the Switch 2 capabilities in unique ways in terms of controls and accessories aren't a bad thing.

Played through the demos of Adventures of Elliot and Mina the Hollower already, so its back to TotK and Bananza for me! UFO 50 is looking awfully tempting too.

I remember taking this game home on the Gamecube while working at Blockbuster Video. It was a fairly enjoyable romp. Glad its being remade.

Omg! I loved Hexen on the N64. I played split screen with my brother for AGES when we got it.

Never played this and the genre doesn't really appeal to me anymore, but happy to see a far better version on the Switch 2 than Switch 1. Who knows, maybe ill give it a whirl one day.

Just wrapped on the demo... and the game is spectacular. I'll probably go through it with the other weapons to see how differently the game plays, but im definitely hooked. As for the FPS, I definitely can't tell that its 120, lol.

Jokes aside, this looks amazing. I got SNES Contra/Battletoads vibes watching that, both of which were my type of game during that era. Looks like a lot of replayability too!

Im all in on Mina, UFO 50 and Well Dweller. There are a couple of others ive wishlisted too. Definitely a solid 8/10 presentation. Great variety of titles, many that im interested in which is rare for me these days. Better than the partner showcase in my opinion.
