Definitely surprised that its only Kirby Air Riders... especially with that run time. Was really thinking Nintendo would have a full blown Direct this week to shore up the holidays. Regardless, ill definitely be watching.

I finally beat Tears of the Kingdom last night! I started a playthrough when it first came out, but just fell off it about halfway through the game. Decided to start over once the Switch 2 edition came out and wasn't disappointed.

Looks like I can finally start playing Bananza now!

@JTurner - I was joking to a degree. I know Nintendo will be at Gamescom and nearly half the titles confirmed for their booth dont even have release dates, just release windows (MP4, Elden Ring, FFVII, Hades II). That seems surprising to me... so I purposely jumped to a 'Direct' conclusion, haha.

Love that this is available, but ill probably pick it up on Xbox since its a Play Anywhere title... meaning ill have it for ROG Ally X too! The less violent games I can have accessible on the Switch 1 & 2 for my daughter, the better.

Thanks for the review! While I see little reason to get this myself, I am happy that it exists. Quirky pieces of software that utilize the Switch 2 capabilities in unique ways in terms of controls and accessories aren't a bad thing.

Played through the demos of Adventures of Elliot and Mina the Hollower already, so its back to TotK and Bananza for me! UFO 50 is looking awfully tempting too.

I remember taking this game home on the Gamecube while working at Blockbuster Video. It was a fairly enjoyable romp. Glad its being remade.

Omg! I loved Hexen on the N64. I played split screen with my brother for AGES when we got it.

Never played this and the genre doesn't really appeal to me anymore, but happy to see a far better version on the Switch 2 than Switch 1. Who knows, maybe ill give it a whirl one day.

Just wrapped on the demo... and the game is spectacular. I'll probably go through it with the other weapons to see how differently the game plays, but im definitely hooked. As for the FPS, I definitely can't tell that its 120, lol.

Jokes aside, this looks amazing. I got SNES Contra/Battletoads vibes watching that, both of which were my type of game during that era. Looks like a lot of replayability too!

Im all in on Mina, UFO 50 and Well Dweller. There are a couple of others ive wishlisted too. Definitely a solid 8/10 presentation. Great variety of titles, many that im interested in which is rare for me these days. Better than the partner showcase in my opinion.

The original game was a fun little romp while it lasted. I'd consider getting it on the Switch if it got a Switch 2 upgrade, but other than that, it doesn't sound like enough to pull me back in.

Not my cup of tea personally, but happy its on the Switch for those who like that stuff. Seems to have a lot of positive reviews on Steam.

I've been holding off from getting this on Steam to see if we'd get it on the Switch, and today is the day! Will probably pick this up with the next paycheck.

I like the concept, so ill be keeping an eye on this.

Played the demo... i liked it but not enough to buy the full game. Now that my daughter is 5 though and is getting the hang of using a controller (thanks DKB!), this would be a good option to get, maybe around xmas.

Great line up. I hope we get a release date for MP4 out of Gamescom... or better yet, a Nintendo Direct to deliver that news and more!

@PikaPhantom - I knew someone would say it, and debated adding it to my written stream of thoughts. I am aware of the controversy. Despite whatever people want to call it, the fact remains that a Switch 2 upgrade was announced, and as someone who enjoyed Dave the Diver, would love to have it sooner rather than later.

I hope its announced tomorrow on the Direct just to watch the world burn. 🤣

Hoping to see Silksong, Hades II, Mina & UFO 50. Anyone one of those will instantly make it better than the Partner direct that just happened. I also want to see quirky games that make use of the Switch 2 mouse controls.

Maybe Dave the Diver Switch 2 upgrade news? I know they announced it coming 'soon', so hopefully that means tomorrow. 😋

My prediction of an early to mid August direct came true! I know, I said it would be a first party direct, but beggars can't be choosers. Where's my clout? 🤣

Given all the stories about a lack of dev kits, I wonder how many Switch 2 titles will actually be shown. Hades 2 feels like a definite, perhaps even a shadow drop of Switch 2 upgrade of Dave the Diver. I want to say Silksong too, but we all know it doesn't exist.

After playing the demo myself, i love it. Can't wait for the full release. It takes just about everything I love from the SNES era and puts it into a single experience in the HD-2D engine.

Probably won't play much this weekend. Between my second job and home projects that need immediate attention, I see little opportunity to play games.

However, if I do find time, now that I rolled credits on Dragon Quest Builders II, I have Bananza, Adventures of Elliot demo, and TotK to look forward to.

I think we're due a second direct with Nintendo and the larger third party efforts in August now that the quarterly financial report has been released. There's still some gaps and unknowns in the release schedule. I hope these things aren't revealed casually on the Nintendo Today app though.

Yes! Very excited. Wasn't sure if it was going to be in July with how close they cut it, but im happy to see whats in store for us.

I got this for the Switch, no DLC, and while the puzzles are fairly simple, they are perfect for my 5 year old who has really taken to a wide variety of puzzle types as of late. She also loves pokemon plush too.

I'll do a few puzzles just to get some extra yarn for my daughter to get extra plush too. 🙂

I went on vacation last week, and ended up dabbling in Dragon Quest Builders 2 a bit, and now I can't put it down! The game has been in my backlog forever, but hadn't gotten around to playing it. I can't speak of its performance on the Switch 1, but it runs and plays great on the Switch 2.

I think im at 60 hours and nearing the end, so once im done there, ill hop back on TotK. Should keep me busy until the next direct (Xenoblade Chronicles X boost please!)

I think a Direct is coming, but it'll probably be early to mid August. With Microsoft supposedly announcing Switch 2 ports 'in a few weeks', I tend to believe those announcements would come from Nintendo first.

As for Metroid Prime 4, I cant wait to play it. Just need a release date, and hopefully an announcement of a Prime 2/3 release as a shadow drop.

Played this on PC and it was delightful. I like puzzle games a lot and this was throughly entertaining. Glad it's coming to the switch for those who dont have other options!

I downloaded the puzzler on my phone after the video and enjoyed what was available so far. I'll probably get ZA on Switch 2 too, just not right away.

Looking forward to scoring it when I get it. Was on vacation when it came out, so once it comes in the mail, it's a top gaming priority!

Playing on the ROG Ally X has not yielded the experience I'd hope to have for Cyberpunk despite quite a bit of setting tweaking. There are points where the game nearly comes to a halt, especially driving, that by the time the game syncs back up, ive crashed into a building.

Sounds like the Switch 2 is probably the better way to go to evade much of the portable PC hassle ive dealt with.

@jess_elizabeth_reed - I was reading elsewhere that framerate is kind of up and down in handheld mode on the Switch 2. Can you elaborate on that?

Wow, I remember spending a lot of time on Forsaken 64 when I was younger. I'm sure it hasn't aged well, but lots of good memories in the moment!

Great to hear about free Switch 2 upgrades for prior Switch titles. I hope we start seeing a wave of these over the coming months.

Im a bit all over the place at the moment. I usually like to play one or two games at any given period of time to not get too distracted, but on Switch 2, I'm still working on medals on Welcome Tour, unlocking stuff in Fast Fusion, playing through Pokemon Legends Arceus with my daughter, and playing the Switch 2 edition of TotK.

On the ROG Ally X, I'm working on playthroughs of Borderlands 3, Yakuza Kawami, and GTA San Andreas from the trilogy collection. Busy time!

I knew Fantasy Life appears to be receiving a lot of praise, but never expected it to hit the top of the charts at the time of writing. Might need to check this one out. I'll need to look at the file size though as I dont have an Express card yet.

Thats a bummer, would have loved an enhanced version for Switch 2. Dying light on switch is frequently on sale and I got it for $7.99. Well worth it at that price and was a highly enjoyable game on the Nintendo console.

Definitely would be interested in trying a demo just to feel how it controls, but have zero interest in owning. More of a single player adventure guy, so DK is on my list.

I remember pushing Mario Kart 64 to its limits and getting comical results too. Love it. Can't wait to mess around like this.
