And it has cross-save between switch 1 & 2, steam, and ps5, so I can buy it on steam and play on my pc monitor first, and then buy it again physically on switch 2 for portable and tv play when I have the console, I just know it today. Yay for cross-save

All game should have cross-save, it's super annoying when I have games that I really like so I have it on multiple device and my playtime is divided between them with no real progress, like blasphemous and huntdown (has it on my ps4/ps5, pc, and switch). It's a win-win for gamers like me (can play it with my save on whatever device I have), and for game devs too (can have their games purchased on more than one device).

This make the story / lore confusing, so the mario odyssey game is the sequel where's pauline already mature, but why the kong kidnapping pauline in the arcade game, or maybe they're rescuing her from this crazed jump man. I though it will be revealed that this kong isn't dk but younger cranky kong, but there's cranky kong in the game. If diddy and dixie in this game is young so does that mean they're will be mature in odyssey or not. Or maybe the pauline kidnapping isn't canon so this game is a soft reboot 🤔

Either way, I'm hyped, can't wait for this game especially after the direct. Heck, I already satisfied with the game previews before, but now after knowing the game story seems more interesting than I thought and the gameplay looks really good, I'm more hyped.

And yes, I will be trying to make my own river in the water stage / world, I love it when physic interact with water in games 😃

I hope shift up release the game on switch 2, and 100% sure switch 2 can run this game at $60 fps since steam deck can run it 60 fps too, their engine for this game is really flexible.

I didn't know pauline will be in the game, but the surprise is pauline still a child in this game, so would that make mario odyssey set in the future timeline from this game since pauline already mature in odyssey?

Wish we got the full game on cartridge, maybe a special $60 version with the full game and manuals. I mean, if $25 evercade cartridge can get full colour manual, full game on cartridge and colour manual for $60 is fair.

Oh well, maybe I'll buy it on the first discount on eshop since the cartridge is the same as digital.

Sigh, just don't pirate new console games, there are times for emulation and backing up games, it's when the console is 2 generations or at least 10 years behind, not when it's still on launch weeks 😕

One of the best zelda game, the only bad part is I think the game is too easy. But I played the wii u version with 16:9 ratio and some adjustments to gameplay, so I think I'll pass this game.

Hope there's still gonna be zelda ww and zelda tp remaster for switch 2, I just need at least 1080p, 60 fps, and widescreen for the games 😃

I think nintendo will get so much good will if they make it free at launch since it's a fun way to play what is basically switch 2 manual, but I guess after switch 1 nintendo still got a lot of good will left so making money is more important to them.

I don't need the cards now since my 256GB card isn't even full on switch 1, switch 2 256GB internal memory is enough for at least 1-2 years for me.

I'm glad nintendo use microsd express cards, normal microsd card is just too slow for gaming now, it's like ps4 hdd vs ps5 ssd, you can't go back to hdd after using ssd. And the microsd express price will come down, just like ssd.

After the fall of wii u, nintendo is in "acquire good will" mode, now that switch 1 is really successfull, they're in "spending good will" mode, which they don't care if people don't like what move they're doing as long as it making them money.

I know this because sony operated on this mode too, with ps4 they acquire good will, with ps5 they spending it.

Nintendo need to sells cheaper (smaller storage) cartridge, no wonder smaller games by 3rd party publishers mostly using game key cards 😕

It really nice that these games updated to have HDR, I think this is the reason on my tv most switch 3rd party indie games just looks worse compared to ps5 even though the resolution and framerate is the same.

I hope next is home theatre 5.1 sound update, most indie games (like shantae and the 7 sirens) only has stereo on switch while it has full 5.1 sound on ps5.

I hope most indie games on switch 1 will be updated to 120 fps on switch 2, then switch 2 will be the console to play indie games

I have no problem paying $2.5 for upgrade, a bit annoying but fine. I really want to know the framerate of the game on switch 2, I'll buy it on switch 2 if it's 120 fps, and I think I'll buy it on steam if switch 2 version is only 60 fps since I plan to buy 240hz pc monitor in the future.

"Remapping controls", friggin finally, I can't play n64 games using joycons or pro controller, the n64 C button should be mapped to switch second analogue stick rather than switch button from the beginning.

Now I can finally play n64 games on switch without buying the switch n64 controller.

Nintendo today still isn't available in my country because nintendo didn't sells switch officially here, despite many people already imported it, same with nintendo music. I wish they just release the app everywhere rather than in select country 😕

I think nintendo is doing what they already doing with their nintendo direct, which is cutting out the middleman, before it was E3 Shows, now it's news websites. Direct to customer, don't need anyone else.

I usually don't watch let's play in the game I'm interested in buying but man this game is fun to watch too. I just want to know the switch 2 upgrade resolutions and framerate before buying it, if it's 120 fps I'm playing it on switch 2 since my tv and pc monitor is only 60hz, if not it's either on steam or ps5 since the price is annoyingly the same (usually steam is cheaper in my country).

It's the equivalent of apple bricking your iphone if you jailbreak your own phone, there's no way this is legal.

In one hand it's annoying to pay for upgrade, but in the other hand it's only $2, so yeah, it's annoying but it's better than nintendo $10 upgrade I think.

@LastFootnote I haven't played both games either so I don't have nostalgia for both of them, I played dragon trap and stuck after I got the mouse form. I remember liking dragon trap more because cursed kingdom is too cartoony for my taste back then, although it seems now I have no proble with cursed kingdom graphical styles.

And since cursed kingdom actually discounted to $10 now on eshop, I think I'll buy and play it

I just want dpad for the left joycon, I use skull & co dpad button cap for my switch oled but I still want official nintendo left joycon with dpad.

Having fun playing mandragora whispers of the witch tree, a really good 2.5D metroidvania with souls-like combat and a lot of ability and magic.

I tried the demo on steam and bought it right away, I really recommend the game if you like metroidvania, the graphics reminded me of the trine series, but with a darker theme.

I have no problem with 2.0 but already downloaded this update just to make sure my switch is okay.

I don't love polygon so I have no problem watching it disappear, in fact it's good for other websites that their competitor gone and now they have more readers.

Is it possible to have the division 2 with 60 fps for switch 2, I have fun playing the game on ps5 but when I played the demo on ps4 back then, the 30 fps gameplay suck, this is a game that has to be 60 fps to be playable.

I prefer code in the box now, at least we know it's not cartridge and when limited run or others made physical available, it mean we'll get a real cartridge 😕

@Sebos That's a nice use for game screenshots, although maybe gamers that buy the game expecting great graphics but in reality it only run 30 fps with that graphics will be disappointed.

I think it would be cool if maybe one or two years in the future nintendo make switch 2 dock that's can upgrade switch 2 graphics in tv mode (like external gpu for laptop) so all switch 2 games can be played in 4K & 120 fps mode.

Play cyberpunk 2077 portable on switch 2 with 720p & 30 fps, and 2K & 60/120 fps on tv

@killercerial Movies is different, playing movie at 60 fps make the movie seems "cheap" somehow, like watching telenovela, for movies 24 fps is way better.

It's annoying but I'm okay with $10 upgrade if it means I can play nintendo switch 1 1st party titles with 120 fps update, better if it's free though

I will only play nintendo 1st party titles and indies so the internal 256GB is enough for me for a while. At least until the microsd express card is a little bit cheaper than now.

@HalBailman I bet the next 3D mario and zelda will be $80, and donkey kong bonanza 2 will be $80 too. My prediction is every nintendo games that sold more than 10 millions will be $80. They will up the price again and again if there's no backlash, I'm glad there's such a big backlash for this $80 price.

@killercerial Even my non gaming friends can see the difference between 30 fps and 60 fps on ps4 tomb raider, they can see that the camera swaying is way smoother in 60 fps mode.

@SBandy1 It affect me by making the 120 fps doesn't exist, if the developers didn't spend their time and money making the useless 30 fps that nearly everyone didn't want, maybe they can have 120 fps at launch.

More option is good, but not if it's the worst option.

There are only 1 problem with switch 2, the price of mario kart 9 at $80, if they price it $70, the switch 2 reveal will be a way positive for nintendo, and the $10 demo will be just an annoyance. But gaming corporation always want more after successful console 😕
