Never played the game so unbiased. I’m thinking Europe. But would have switched my vote to NA if the ladies face had anything to do with the game - but it sounds like it didn’t.
Direct in a month. I literally mean it will occur inside a month, I’m not specifying which month. Technically it’s impossible for a direct to be outside of a month.
I’ve hit peak Mario kart saturation. Like others have said 5-10 minutes for me and the fun was over. But clearly something about this franchise resonates. Maybe for those not playing it since the 90s
I’m just stoked for the hollow knight fans. The wait for this game has been a low grade running joke for a while now. Looking forward to reading the comments in the week following the release to the general population
A bit off topic, but were there sources that said prime 2 and 3 had been ready for ages? Or am I imagining it. It may have been that TP and WW had HD versions waiting.
Anyway would love some more prime games before beyond
I remember acclaim back in the day. Can’t remember their games though…. Time for some google-fu
I spent a lot of time on the wizards & warriors trilogy - looking back time has not been kind and I think rare probably had their fingers in it. And Bart v space mutants I played a bit but wasn’t the best game on the NES.
I’ll be surprised if this generates much excitement
I would love to play shadow of the colossus - so bring that back like portal. Otherwise I’m very into doom right now, plays pretty good on switch 2, so give me an impossible dark ages port. And I’ll take Indiana Jones just because I’m an 80s/90s kid at heart
I imagine pushing a wheelchair builds some real wrist strength. So those of us not in wheelchairs with fragile wrists just have to accept the developers bringing that realism of wheelchair based sport through the discomfort of sideways joycons.
I writing this in jest of course.
This is not very PC but in terms of wheelchair based video games, but I always imagined a Stephen Hawking Pro-Wheelchair game in the vein of tony hawk. It would have been ridiculously funny and because it was Stephen Hawking the physicist maybe you could chuck in a teleport ability because clearly this would not have been a game to take seriously.
Switch 1 the plug in the base of my dock broke from toddlers constantly pulling the console in and out.
Bought a 3rd party ‘dock’ that resembled the talacone and had no issues. If the dock fan provides no cooling to the switch as others have pointed out, then replicating a plug/cable and HDMI output seems a reasonable option.
I tried to play this back in early switch 1 days. Partly as a homage to the original which I played to death back in the 90s. The loading times sucked, I struggled with the playstyle that needed constant aggression and didn’t come back to it until switch 2.
Now that I’ve figured out the playstyle that works, wow I love this game. Just bought doom eternal when I’m only halfway through doom 2016 and fingers crossed dark ages lands on switch 2.
This is a very enjoyable game I have to say, but for those who played the original there is a learning curve and you cannot play cautiously.
I actually quite enjoy the combo driven game play of tour. I must be the only one. Knock Out is a great shake up of the MK world formula, but the series definitely needed a pivot. My kids still are obsessed though.
@The_Nintend_Pedant There’s something about your George Costanza avatar that makes me interpret all your comments like they’re coming from George. I think I must have a Seinfeld region of my brain deep down
I thought rainbow road was epic. Playing with the kids was a blast. When you launch up into the screen of white my 4yo son was screaming ‘I can’t see!!!!’. The whole thing had me in stitches and was pretty epic really.
I know WW is much loved, but I just couldn’t gel with it… at least compared to earlier titles. I would say for me, pre switch it’s probably #5.
It’s a great game still, but against some stiff competition. If I had embraced the game cube era and played at release, my nostalgia points might have been higher.
Essentially the seafaring needed to be streamlined and if they had expanded the undersea world I would have given this a 10/10.
But when you head into that last dungeon I remember thinking just how freaking amazing that point in the game was. One of the most epic bits in the series.

Re: ICYMI: If You Want To Play Virtual Boy Classics, You'll Need To Buy One Of Nintendo's Accessories
So far I don’t see that they are available in Australia. I do want to buy one for historical purposes more than playing the worst of their consoles 🤣
Re: Super Mario Galaxy 1 + 2 Prices Are Live, And It's Sticker Shock Time
Doesn’t surprise me. Nintendo has long had the cynical strategy of selling the same game multiple times.
I’m glad they’re not forcing you to buy both. But I’ll be super annoyed if the Mario Galaxy 1 is hugely improved.
I would love for Nintendo to include NES / SNES without a paid subscription. It would be a nice offering for their customers.
Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Direct September Predictions - What Do You Hope To See?
Metroid prime 4
Prime 2&3 in interim
Something crazy like the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time remaster
I don’t see a new Mario game, but I think others have already called Super Mario Bros 2 - the movie, could drop the trailer for the 40th anniversary
Doom: The Dark Ages
Elden ring
Diablo IV
Yeah, that should do it
Re: Round Up: Every "Exciting New Game" From The Acclaim Showcase
Sorry acclaim. None of these are my jam
Re: Metroid Prime 4 Rating Spotted On Nintendo's Website
Bla bla bla September 11 direct bla bla Nate the hate bla bla bla

Rumour me intrigued.
Re: Mario Kart World Wins "Best Nintendo Switch 2 Game" Of Gamescom 2025
Yeah it is pretty odd that unreleased games are up for awards. There is probably still work being done on MP4 for example

I’ll probably give this a red hot crack when it drops
Re: Hollow Knight: Silksong "Special Announcement" Is Coming This Thursday
I’d laugh if it was an announcement that it is delayed. That degree of trolling would win the interwebs
Re: Geoff Keighley Either Knows Something About Silksong, Or Is Just Being A Tool
He could be both knowledgeable and a tool

Re: Metroid Prime 4, Elden Ring, Silksong All Playable At Nintendo's Gamescom Booth
August 20-24. Hopefully a Nintendo life person or two can get some hands on and let us know the verdict

Wow. Non specific breaking news.
Re: Nintendo Schedules Network Maintenance For Thursday
Bad luck Nate the Hate. July is on its last legs. I’m definitely feeling the “SOON (TM)” vibes though.
EDIT: Just remembered July has 31 days. So I’ll shut my pie hole.

Doronko Wanko? Isn’t that Mrs Palmer and her 5 daughters?
Re: Random: Don't Worry Folks, Nintendo Says Mario And Peach Are Just "Good Friends"
Soon as bowser makes a move she’s always on Mario’s arm. Perhaps peach is toxic bad news causing all the Mario bowser conflict.

Metroid 4 news hopefully. Give me the full prime trilogy too

Initially not interested, but this makes me more intrigued

Re: Poll: Do You Three-Star-Gold Every Mario World Grand Prix Before Moving On To The Next?
I just went straight to 150. I’ve only 3 starred one or two cups though
