It's an amazing game. You have to see it in motion as it's a lot less static than the screenshots convey.

I have a bunch of this stuff from Japan. I like the model house stuff, especially the piplup in the icey bath tub. The actual range not yet announced for the West is a lot more borad than the above.

@Daniel36 The board game is excellent, although Jaws of the Lion is a great intro to the series. There's a 2nd edition int he works, but that's not yet reflected in the digital version. They've also kickstarted a TTRPG using the combat system, which is really excellent.

@MontyCircus You can play the boardgame solo. Main difference is you run two characters and up the difficulty (level) of the enemies, because you have full control of the party. In multiplayer, you have to contend with miscommunications and sometimes conflicting mini-goals, but otherwise it's the same experience.

@Cashews It's not really that early. For the West, it would be the 4th ScarVi TCG expansion. In Japan that number is higher (6th or 7th). It's typical to do a special set once a year.

Ignoring the MAGA vibe to some of these comments, I think the critics were right. It's a a terrible and also successful film. I hated it. My daughter hated it. The crowd cheered more at the Mario Odyssey advert before the film started. It will make lots of money.
