@theModestMouse People and corporations have as much right not to sell their property, as you have to not buy them when they are offered. If all the people boasting about being pirates had any guts, they'd be emailing Nintendo to tell them what they are doing.
@mercilessrobot "no other option" besides buying it now. Also, just because something is not for sale, doesn't mean it's not stealing if you take it. What if your kid drew you a picture, and someone takes it and claims that it's morally okay, because you weren't selling it?
@JohnnyMind I only got one, online, because the 3 others knew what they were doing, and I quickly realised I was more use just heal cheering them. Two Miriadon and a Grimsnarl. One Miriadon did 70% of the damage in one hit with a charged electro glide. That owl might not be so good against the Greninja, but perhaps Iron Leaves might work. Puzzle time.
While the raids (and indeed game itself) can be a pile of jank, I do find myself really enjoying them. Each 6+ star raid is often a little puzzle. Even if they can be frustrating (like the ghost/fighting+fighting Annihilape I failed to take down last night), finding the key to each one really does extend the post game and provides a good challenge.
I'm more interested in confirmation that these won't brick my Pokémon boxes. Although I suspect it's a rare issue confirmed to modders and tweakers, it's over a hundred hours to progress to risk, without Cloud backups and no Pokémon Home interface.
Cute, but not cuter than firing then mocking disabled former-employees (which is only 1 crap thing that Space Karen has done this week). So, no, I haven't spotted this on the birdsite yet. I'm one of the many that have moved on to better things. A bit of a downer, maybe. So, okay mushrooms are cute.
@TheBigBlue Those new cards will have different backs and not be legal for tournament play. They will be, in effect, proxies. For collectors, this means they have little value. You can still have fun playing with them, of course.
@RupeeClock Fire > Flying and also strong against the grass attacks that are going to be coming in. The issue will be the ghost attacks too. I main Iron Hands with bright powder so will try it, but I think those strong grass attacks are going to be a problem.
EDIT: sorry, was wrong about fire strong against flying. But I do think the flying is resistant to fighting (drain punch)?
@Uncle_Franklin A different back, which makes them novelty items only. You cannot use these with other cards at all. You might as well use fake cards or proxies.
Look like this will cost £200. This is similar to what Hasbroken did with Magic the Gathering last year. One of several mistakes that nearly broke the company.
I have one path via an earlier eshop sale (WHERE ARE THE FINAL SALES?!??!?) but am really wondering how missable these other two DLCs are. For both, that's the cost of a whole new game, such as a Switch Fire Emblem. I'm very much a fence sitter and thinking this missable might be okay to miss after all. A last gasp sale doesn't seem to be happening to push me over the edge.
I love We love Katamari. It is the best of the series. The issue with Forever, for me, was that it was recycled a lot of older content, to make it available to newer platforms. The Switch already has a remaster of the first game though. Forever is still a great game, but We Love is certainly the best.
How do we know this isn't just a better branded and package version of alternatives that cost a third of this? What's different about the components here?
I just went through the payment loop twice - even to credit card verification, but it's just going around and around now. Tried several more times. Finally the 5th one got through but only if it was the only item in the cart
I got to the payment stage before it crashed and (presumably) lost my order, which is more annoying than if it was never a possibility. Running a store is not a competency of Nintendo, and they shouldn't try to do it themselves anymore.
Best part of Worlds though. Unite seemed like a sideshow, the TCG camera angles were terrible (couldn't see the cards) and the amount of shuffling in the Shady Dealing/Palkia/Arceus meta made spectating very boring. The VG (Sword Shield) was going strong at least, but that meta (Inciniroar, Grimsnarl, Charizard, Groudon, Zacian) meant the roster sometimes felt smaller than Pokken's. Pokken is great for a tournament like Worlds, and I'll miss it next year.
I went via artist and clicked on a couple of artists that I follow, but there's just 1 picture, no commentary and not even the artists name, let alone bio or related cards.
Apart from a bit of Rada school graduate, Eastenders wannabe, hammy cases (yes, you, Eunie) the voice acting is great. But for the cutscenes only. I would love to turn off the inane battle chatter. It's so grating. 'Ere that No-uh? Lanz wants sumthing a bit quieter! Cor luv-a-duck. Sparks yer Uncle!
@Pachrisu Well what you say is what the article above says. That isn't what previous information has been. The company may have changed its mind on this. They are concerned about COVID at the event, and it's all the way at Excel.
Others: It was very tricky to get spectator passes. They went live with little notice and in three waves that suited the Chicago timezone rather than BST. They sold out super fast and the website was janky. But I did manage to get a pair at the 1am wave. Only £10 each and you get two packs of cards included too.
Commenters should note that this is a pop-up store at a ticketed event. You have to either book a slot or join a virtual queue, but at least you can watch the competitions. If you do not already have a competitor pass or a spectator pass you cannot visit the store.
So it looks like you had to battle 3 times. My daughter battled twice, once against a hacked team and the other cancelled. She was in absolute tears this morning to read that the info on this page was incorrect.
