Re: Next Limited-Time Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Tera Raid Battle Event Announced

@JohnnyMind I only got one, online, because the 3 others knew what they were doing, and I quickly realised I was more use just heal cheering them. Two Miriadon and a Grimsnarl. One Miriadon did 70% of the damage in one hit with a charged electro glide.
That owl might not be so good against the Greninja, but perhaps Iron Leaves might work. Puzzle time.

While the raids (and indeed game itself) can be a pile of jank, I do find myself really enjoying them. Each 6+ star raid is often a little puzzle. Even if they can be frustrating (like the ghost/fighting+fighting Annihilape I failed to take down last night), finding the key to each one really does extend the post game and provides a good challenge.

@RupeeClock Fire > Flying and also strong against the grass attacks that are going to be coming in. The issue will be the ghost attacks too. I main Iron Hands with bright powder so will try it, but I think those strong grass attacks are going to be a problem.
EDIT: sorry, was wrong about fire strong against flying. But I do think the flying is resistant to fighting (drain punch)?

Re: Countdown: 3DS eShop Spotlight - Fire Emblem Fates

I have one path via an earlier eshop sale (WHERE ARE THE FINAL SALES?!??!?) but am really wondering how missable these other two DLCs are. For both, that's the cost of a whole new game, such as a Switch Fire Emblem. I'm very much a fence sitter and thinking this missable might be okay to miss after all. A last gasp sale doesn't seem to be happening to push me over the edge.

Re: Pokémon Says Goodbye To Pokkén Tournament World Championships After Six Years

Best part of Worlds though. Unite seemed like a sideshow, the TCG camera angles were terrible (couldn't see the cards) and the amount of shuffling in the Shady Dealing/Palkia/Arceus meta made spectating very boring.
The VG (Sword Shield) was going strong at least, but that meta (Inciniroar, Grimsnarl, Charizard, Groudon, Zacian) meant the roster sometimes felt smaller than Pokken's.
Pokken is great for a tournament like Worlds, and I'll miss it next year.

@Pachrisu Well what you say is what the article above says. That isn't what previous information has been. The company may have changed its mind on this. They are concerned about COVID at the event, and it's all the way at Excel.

Others: It was very tricky to get spectator passes. They went live with little notice and in three waves that suited the Chicago timezone rather than BST. They sold out super fast and the website was janky. But I did manage to get a pair at the 1am wave. Only £10 each and you get two packs of cards included too.
