@gojiguy There are two great Japanese books that do this.

@Quarth These have grinding within grinding within grinding to the level of an artform. Defeat mobs to level up your team, get their loot, travel inside the loot, level up your team while levelling up the loot by defeating specialists inside the loot and clearing 5 levels at a time and getting even more loot. Use the specialists to add properties to the loot. Hit bigger mobs with the upgraded loot.

@Quarth You'll never complete any of them. So much levelling and grinding is possible if you like that sort of thing. D1 is the classic story but D5 is the most recent until now. The core gameplay is largely unchanged between each though.

The core game is great. The board game is my daughter's favourite and we have the European Expansion. The board game is surprisingly luxurious for the price and offers the solo-play automa. I do also want a digital edition but I get the sense that its true [digital] platform will be iPad. Switch is, at least, portable for solo-play on the go, and I will get it when it's on sale.

One thing the reviewer may have missed is the more social "pink" powers that trigger when an opponent takes a certain action, and the European Expansion "teal" powers that trigger at the end of the round.

@RainbowGazelle Redownload the game and it will fix the issue. I had the same problem.

Don't forget the 3DS. Etrian Odyssey Nexus and Persona Q2 are on lowest price ever sales on that eShop.

Have the physical plus European Expansion. My daughter never wants to stop playing it. I do have a couple of 30% off vouchers for the Steam version that came in the box, but the Switch version is the one I've been waiting for.

Price is fine. 410Mb though... Did they add 1000 death animations or something?

@dew12333 Enjoy the paying VAT and import fees (under currently no trade-deal) on EU imports too from January. Also the UK has no trade-deal with the US in place for January yet, so we could be facing even higher import fees.

Apart from no 24 hour clock mode this thing makes a wonderful desktop clock. I don't care that it's only got 3 games. It's perfect for zoning out on Zoom and Webex calls. I put it right under the camera.

They will be forced to change the name.

It's a bit thin and the angle is too high, but props for getting this free STL out so quickly. I can fix the angle and build quality.

Screen not sharp? We used to play this on 11 inch cathode ray TVs through an RF cable. Screen is plenty sharp.
Downsides for me are no kickstand (I'll be 3D printing one soon I expect) and no 24 hour clock setting.

C418 is very capable of putting out some bangers to suite the Sumaburo mood. It's the dull spot on an otherwise very exciting looking DLC.

Saw Alpharad play this. The levels took longer to load than play. They then turned this off and loaded Smash instead.

Cool but I fully expect this car to fall off a cliff in the middle of the track.

The only problem I have with that 2nd screenshot is the level itself. That stupid rotating cube, combined with the camera and Mario's eagerness to slip off the sides that you can barely see. Sunshine is a really frustrating game for me.
