What's the risk of something like PokeGenie leading to a ban? Is it considered cheating by Niantic? Not a rhetorical question - I honestly don't know.
EDIT: It seems PokeGenie uses offline screenshots and does not access Niantic servers at all. This is really cool!

Perhaps we will see the mega evolutions return. I think we saw one in the Genesect movie(?) but they could be back. Or Shadow MewTwo from Pokken. The interesting thing is the implication for the video game and card game if that does happen, as that was a mega evolution, which barely features in the current meta.

Yes you die somewhat unexpectedly, but the checkpoints are very generous and it's usually funny. In fact it's worth dying at more points for the entertainment. I completed it so it's not that hard.

About one of those is really new (Octopath). The rest are ports, rereleases or shovelware.

I've only been playing a little but it seems the first two weapons you get in the game are possibly the best anyway.

I would like to see this, but unless YKW4 boosts interest, it's a dead franchise even in Japan now.
Meanwhile I'd like to see more of the anime translated. It used to be on TV here and was pretty funny. At least my daughter can now read subtitles, if I can find something online.

I have all three. The new one is the best. I like Historia too, but it conflicts on several pointed with the Encylopedia. The omission of BOTW is a huge gap - no doubt due to the translation schedule. So I look forward to the new book too. Another omission is much about the characters from Hyrule Warriors (like Wizzro: is that his eye or mouth?) even though it's technically non-canon.

Meanwhile I picked up Splatoon 2 as I think it's the cheapest it's ever been.

Blocks the power port. Needs extra adapters (not yet built) to work with a stand (the most likely use case for BT audio), won't work when docked and is chunky as hell.
Standalone BT adapters are about the same size and don't have the above issues.

I've posted a thread on the suggestion page of the forum here to start a discussion about the lack of European update this week. NL is missing a lot of core topics lately. No EU update this week and late most other weeks. MyNintendo updates ignored too.

@Haywired We're too busy playing with Labo still. It's still really good. My daughter and I have been having a blast using the piano to scan fish for the aquarium.

I wanted to play in casual mode using the gesture controls (like Wii Sports) but that doesn't seem enabled for the demo. That's the make or break test that means pre-order or ignoring for me.

I took one for the team and bought the 3 pack bundle and now it plays pretty much like a regular game. There's still a battery (with 8 charges) but the cost to recharge it is almost nothing because I get hundred of tokens a day.
It does get a little dull though because evolving doesn't seem to change type (that I've seen so far) or add new moves.

Also very negative about Gatcha. some are surprisingly good. I've got a Snorlax Gatcha machine that came out of a Gatcha, that dispenses mini prizes. It';s great. A lot of the cosplay Pikachu and Eevees are awesome too.
