@Thomystic Do Pro Controllers have drift issues? I’m still using my 2017 launch Pro Controller with zero problems.

@Matt-e-r It’s a sequel to a Switch exclusive. Not a brand new IP, but not that old in the grand scheme of things.

It looks so goooood. I just finally played this game a few months ago (Vita version with the English patch), and it was amazing. Playing through the second one now.

Weird year for me. My top 3 is
1. Nintendo 64 App (Paper Mario exclusively)
2. Super Mario RPG
3. 1000xResist

All bangers. 1000xResist is one of my favorite games of the year.

My 2 year old loves the Stoopid Buddy produced Mickey Mouse holiday specials, and they did this short as well. I gotta show it to him.

He doesn’t know who produces what, but he’ll know the vibe is the same, haha. I noticed immediately. Good stuff.

I still remember the debacle that Marvel vs Capcom 2 on PS3 was just a code in a box. And that was back in 2009!

Why are they still releasing physical copies without actual games??

I’ll definitely get it. I loved the remakes of the first two. Just not day one. I’m working on a lot of backlog stuff at the moment.

@rjejr You’re missing out on Tomba! Fun game. One of my favorites on PS1.

@Kidfunkadelic83 They’re both very good. My wife and I played them together, and we had a wonderful time with them.

It’s wild that this list has Steins;Gate 0 and not the vastly superior original game. Play that before 0. Or don’t play 0 at all. It’s fine.

Great list otherwise though. The Switch has a solid little VN library, and it’s such a great place to play them.

@RareFan The last rumors about Crazy Taxi and Jet Set Radio is that both revivals would be live service games. I hope that ends up not being true.

@solarwolf07 What Roosader just said is correct - you can now get the app on the official App Store. The same great app without the inconvenience.

I tested it out last night, and I’m really impressed by this emulator. It ran every system great, touch screen controls felt good, and it worked with my backbone controller. I’ll be using this a lot, I think.

Gio Corsi rules. He’s always been one of my favorites in the PlayStation world.

@RodSD64 I haven’t played ARMS too much since I made this comment two years ago, haha. I’m very rusty.

I love that game though. It certainly deserved to be a bigger hit than it was.

@LXP8 I love the Sonic Mania icon. It’s just Sonic’s big ol’ face. The icons that don’t fit the normal “box with logo” style are frequently my favorite ones.

@Asaki The Dragon Ball manga rules. Have fun with that.

@ScalenePowers I would recommend getting a Vita or a PC and playing the ones that aren’t available to you on Switch as well. The series seems to really shine if you play them all.

It’s very surprising the the first trilogy is still not available on current consoles. Maybe one day.

I’ve finally started playing Trails in the Sky on Vita. I’m playing the English patched versions of the trilogy, and it’s off to a great start.

So I’ll get to this new one after I beat that game and like 11 more long RPGs. It’s gonna be awhile.

@StevenH According to Atlus’s website, it is also coming to PS4 and PC.

@Vyacheslav333 Killer7 and the Viewtiful Joe games would be instant-buys for me. Come on, Capcom. Take my money!

I’ll either sell it or mod it. I sold my launch Switch to a local shop when I got my OLED.

@tapdancingtommy I feel like the sentiment of 2023 being among the best years ever for game releases is a very common one at the moment. It’s not just Nintendo Life writers making this claim.

@mlt Honestly I think the second and third Shovel Knight DLCs (Specter of Torment and King of Cards) were just as good as the base game. They added their own unique twists on the Shovel Knight experience in clever ways.

Those both felt like full sequels in many ways. Unless the first DLC, Plague of Shadows. Which was just alright, I thought.

If Yacht Club moved on after the base game, we wouldn’t have gotten these. And that would be a shame.

My Switch collection is 99% digital, so I’d be okay if I had to go 100% next time.

@MysticX I always have the 3D cranked up to 100%. Especially since the New 3DS line, where they just about perfected the effect. It looks great in some games, and it’s barely used in a bunch of others.

I still use my 3DS, and that 3D slider remains at 100% to this day.

@AnnoyingFrenzy So I’ve only played Steins;Gate and S;G Zero. I love Steins;Gate and I think Zero is fine. Are the Chaos; and Robotics; games worth my time?

Dang, those Danganronpa prices are crazy! Too bad I already played them all on Vita. Fantastic games.

Maybe it’s time for me to finally buy the second Somnium Files game. Or maybe one of the Science Adventure games. Hmmm.

@TanukiTrooper Vouchers aren’t new in the US. We had them in 2019, but they were only a limited time offer then. I’m glad they’re back.

@Pineapple_Mohawk A pack of both Picross 3D games on Switch would be awesome. I really liked those games.

But I am also a sucker for regular Picross, and I only played some of the 3DS ones. I’m definitely gonna buy this and lose hundreds of hours in this addictive little puzzles.

Joy Mech Fight is my most played title on the Famicom NSO app by far. Cool to have it on the US app. I didn’t expect that to ever happen.

@sketchturner I agree 100%. It’s a cool game, but definitely not fair.

The trailer really interested me, despite how much I suck at traditional chess.

This is my most anticipated game of the year. I can’t wait, but luckily I don’t have to for much longer.

@the_beaver That’s one of this game’s little magic tricks. I did them in a totally different order - Rito, Gerudo, Zora, then I finished with the Gorons - but nothing about my order felt incorrect or weird.

I didn’t hit this point until like 80 hours in, which is longer than I even played Breath of the Wild total, haha.

I think the riddles leading to the Thunderhead Isles began my favorite chunk of the game. The riddles, the islands, gliding down, rebuilding Mineru, straight through to the finale - all perfection.

I love this game, but I didn’t get the golden route ending. I guess this epilogue isn’t for me, dang.

As for people talking crap on its title ….really? There’s so many actual bad titles out there. At least this one makes sense in context.

Yo, they got Jer/Skatune Network on the soundtrack?? That’s cool.

I’m in the 5-10 hour range, which the poll doesn’t give as an option, haha.

I have a 1 year old, so I game when he’s asleep. Or on break at work. Sometimes I get a day off work when he’s at daycare, but that hasn’t happened yet since the game launched, haha.

I love this game. I played it when it was a Vita exclusive, and it felt so perfect on that screen.

Oh hell yeah, this looks awesome.

$150 for 1TB is mind boggling. I’m gonna sound like an old man here, but I still remember saving $120 for my 1GB card on PSP.
