Great week for old games.

Double Dragon/Kunio collection, DMC3, and the Mega Man Zero Collection are all tempting.

I love Catherine, but I haven’t played Full Body. A Switch release would be an easy buy for me.

Persona 1, 2 (both 2’s), 3, SMT 3, and a bunch of the spinoff titles (Digital Devil Saga!) on Switch would be amazing.

@Ralizah Same, as a 100% digital Switch gamer. I picked up like 6 vouchers, and now I’m all out.

@Olliemar28 I already played the heck out of the series, but I’d love to see those games on Switch. So so good.

@Ralizah I’ve only played the regular Steins;Gate games and watched the animes. The Elite games seem weird to me.

I know the creator called this the “evolution of the visual novel,” or something similar, but I’m not sure reading a little then watching anime scenes is how I’d ever wanna play one of those.

Anyways, I love Steins;Gate. I enjoyed S;G0 far less than the original, but it was still fun.

AI: Somnium Files is one of 2019’s best games, and definitely one of the top visual novel type games on Switch. Check it out, y’all.

I voted for a Nier Automata port, but I’m honestly not so sure the Switch could do that game justice. It ran like crap on my PS4 at some points.

Amazing game though. And that soundtrack is the besssst.

Holy crap, they’re over 100x beyond the Switch goal in 2 hours.

@danielman9 I would love that as an added option. Having access to so many NES/SNES games on the apps is great, but I’d love to buy some to keep forever.

@Octane You can already play Knack while on the toilet using Remote Play on a Vita, a smart phone, or a tablet.

@danielman9 it took a year to get from NES games to SNES games. They’re gonna make us waaaaait.

My Switch is 100% digital, and I know a lot of other people who chose to do the same.

Now whenever I play my 3DS or Vita, I just wish I went fully digital instead of 50/50.

Little Samson should have done so much better when it released. It’s so much better than most of its contemporary NES games, and yet it remains mostly forgotten.

@Noelemahc Holy crap, I didn’t realize it was from 1988. I’ve played Snatcher, but I guess I always assumed the localization happened much quicker.

I just beat that boss and it was definitely my favorite one so far. Not sure why anyone would want to skip it.

They’re not easy to find in the US right now either. At least in the Philly suburbs area. I work at a Target store, and all we have are Lites.

I hacked my NES, SNES, and PlayStation minis. The PlayStation especially needed it, since the initial game selection Isn’t great and the built in emulator is weird.

I got a Genesis Mini for Christmas, and I have no desire to hack it to add games. The selection rules. The few biggest omissions I either own or have on other Genesis collections.

Now excuse me, I have to jump back into Dynamite Headdy.

@Joeynator3000 You, either alone or with a squad of friends, choose your gear then head off into a battle with a large boss. Upon beating the boss, you obtain useful loot. Rinse and repeat this process.

That can describe either Monster Hunter or Super Kirby Clash. I got Monster Hunter vibes immediately when I checked this game out.

Everyone should buy Baba Is You and Slay The Spire.

Demon’s Tilt looks awesome. Definitely grabbing that.

@Paraka I think SkateBIRD is a wonderful name though. It’s simple, catchy, and tells you exactly what you’re getting. And it’s technically a play on words, but a very simple one.

I’ve been looking forward to this for a good long while now. Glad we finally have a release window.

I wish they would add this to Nintendo Online. I love Metal Storm.

I loved this Nindies presentation. Lots of stuff I want.

I even want to play Sports Story, which is surprising because I’m one of the few weirdos who didn’t entirely enjoy Golf Story.

So tomorrow has a Nindies Direct, a Playstation State of Play, AND the final two Shovel Knight expansions? Jeez, tomorrow’s looking pretty good!

I love the original Tail Concerto game, but I never played any of the “spiritual successors,” or whatever this is considered. Tail Concerto rules.

@CharlieGirl I have it on Wii U, then I bought the cross-buy PS4/Vita release, and then I still ended up buying it on Switch.

The triple dip is hard to resist.

I suck sooooooo much at this game, but it’s fun to play regardless. Good stuff.

@retro_player_22 The Messenger was among my favorite games last year. It rules a lot...definitely way too long to beat in one sitting though.

@Joeynator3000 I love Thumper, but that’s pretty long to be beaten in one sitting for most people.

The 2 final expansions and presumably the Amiibo 3-pack. Shovel Knight is easily my favorite game, so I’m pumped.

I have so many Switch games in progress at the moment. Luigi’s Mansion, AI: Somnium Files, Dragon Quest XI, among others.

.....but I can’t stop playing Death Stranding. It’s got me hooked.

@BenAV Weird. I loooove the second one, and I’ve always struggled to get into the original. I plan to try again some day, as I own the 3DS version. I always get a few hours in then stop.
