Re: Talking Point: After Three Months, What's Your Zelda: TOTK Completion Percentage?

ear_wig

0% because one of my third graders (rightfully) convinced me to actually finish Breath of the Wild first, so I’ve been (joyfully) clearing as much of it as possible this summer. Beat Calamity Ganon, and now just wrapping up shrines, leveling up gear, and finding those pesky Koroks. Such a fantastic game! I’d love to say I’ll start Tears of the Kingdom soon, but…
🔥🔥🔥 ARMORED CORE 🔥🔥🔥

Definitely a game that I love reminiscing about, and that lives in my memories as an absolute favorite. Actually playing it these days can be an exercise in tedium, but those memories will always be lovely! A beautiful RPG, and a true SNES favorite! 😍 Right there next to Earthbound and Chrono Trigger for me.

Re: Best Pikmin Games

Pikmin 4 is my first Pikmin game, and I love it SO MUCH. I definitely would like to play 1 and 2 when I’m finished—gotta do my Pikmin history homework! 🌱

Re: Soapbox: Oatchi Is The Star Of Pikmin 4, And He Deserves To Stay For Good

Oatchi is very much a difficulty slider. If you don’t want him to be too OP (*very easy mode), just skip the pup drive upgrades. You can really fine-tune your game with your choice of upgrades and gear. As I play, I see an upgrade (or some gear) pop up, and I say, “Nah, that’s an OP game changer that I’d rather skip.” I really appreciate the dev’s choice to give us options in this game. I can certainly see “no gear/no drive” runs happening in P4’s future.

Re: Blasphemous 2 Is Looking Deliciously Gory In Latest Switch Trailer

ear_wig

Already preordered my physical copy. Blasphemous is one of my favorite modern metroidvaniasoulslikes (yup), such an amazing, weird, creepy, and challenging game. I fully expect this to be more of the same, but that is A-okay when the “the same” is an absolutely incredible experience.
Punish me, baby!! ♟️⚰️💔

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Pikmin 4?

Based on completing the demo, and then restarting with a new character, it’s a 10/10 for me. Such a joyful game, relaxing but also challenging in just the right way. Performance is great, new graphics look awesome, just a fantastic game all around. Special shout-out to the folks naming the treasures…
skateboard = “personal injury device” lol amazing!! 🥰

Re: Capcom Provides A Vague But Mildly Promising Update On Mega Man's Future

ear_wig

It’s definitely time for a new Mega Man game. I’s love to see the series tackle the metroidvania genre, and produce a game where we explore a large, interconnected world, broken into the usual biomes, collecting powers that increase the arsenal, but also add additional movement abilities. It’s a genre that’s currently a bit oversaturated, but we’ve not seen it done Mega Man style before (that I’m aware of), and it could be a truly amazing experience. Hollow Knight, but MEGA MAN!!!

Re: Round Up: Here's What Switch Fans Are Saying About The Pikmin 4 Demo

Pikmin was a game I just never got around too, despite how interesting it always looked to me. Played the demo for 3 and enjoyed it a lot. Just finished the demo for 4 last night, and absolutely loved it. I enjoyed the new gear and upgrade elements, and the dog adds a fun extra layer. The graphics look really nice too, and it performs well overall. I can see everyone’s complaints about the handholding and excessive dialogue, but I’m sure that will drop off once everything is introduced. I already preordered a while ago, but as a first-time Pikmin plugin I am beyond excited. I think I need to play 1 to warm up before July 21!

Haven’t finished the demo, but really enjoyed what I played. I wish the character creator was more robust, but not the end of the world. The new camera is great, and the graphics look gorgeous. Overall I was happy with what I played. Excited to finish the demo later!

PS—you can press + through literally all the dialogue and cutscenes if you so choose, and extend your demo playtime. 😉
