@KimBread Yeah this trailer was to let us know the game is alive and coming along, and will be Metroid Prime firing on all cylinders. They have not truly revealed the game yet. There will be a new gimmick! “Beyond”… beyond the scope of one world? Beyond our expectations?! lol

@asmi8803 Highly recommend Metroid Prime Remastered on Switch. It’s a beautiful, high-performing remaster of a fantastic game. Lots of puzzles (mostly environmental) to solve! The shooting isn’t perfect, but a lock-on feature makes it manageable. It’s one of my favorite games of all time, and I’m not really a big FPS fan, so I think that says something…

Love, LOVE Animal Well so far. It’s so creative and refreshing. Discovering new items and then experimenting to find their various uses feels so rewarding. Love the lack of traditional combat; instead of out-powering the “enemies”, you need to outsmart and outmaneuver. And of course the atmosphere is just phenomenal. Absolutely fantastic game that I just can’t put down. Can’t recommend enough!

Playing on a physical version, and it’s performing well enough, post-patches. Still has a few hitches now and then, and the camera movement when jumping and ascending vertically feels a little choppy. You can also tell certain environments are causing the game to struggle a bit. So not perfect, but totally playable. Looks beautiful on the OLED screen as well!

Despite this, really enjoying it so far. It’s weird, challenging, and packed with nostalgia for Metroid-lovers looking for something new and mysterious. Highly recommended, and totally playable on Switch.

Deep Cuts is a fantastic album by The Knife. Does the Amiibo unlock more tracks? 🤪

Loving the game. Badges are fantastic and my favorite part (other than the wonder seeds)—a “play your way” mechanic which I really appreciate so far. Challenge ebbs and flows, which is… fine (looking forward to tackling all of Special World). It’s definitely too cute, and the story and constant chatter is annoying, but the game is really fun overall. Heading to World 6, hoping for: a) more challenge, b) weird unexpected movement badges, and c) more interesting levels. 8.5/10 right now. ☑️

The Jump! Jump! Jump! Level(s?) are great! Just what I was hoping for. Wonder… I’m warming up to you… 🔥☑️
Also, the Sproing expert badge (or whatever it’s called) where you always jump adds a fun layer of challenge. Great game—score is now 8.5/10 lol

@NeonPizza Snake Eater is absolutely amazing. Nothing comes close to how awesome that game is. Last of Us 2 has moments that almost get there… Anyways, get it on PS5 and ENJOY!!

Enjoying it so far, but something just isn’t resonating with me. Maybe it’s the overly cute design (not vibing with the overall art direction) or the simplicity in some of the levels. Also I really want to ride Yoshi…
I’ve only just got through the first castle, so probably too early to give a full sentiment. Right now, 8/10.

Awful and stupid, but arguably no worse than running around with automatic weapons shooting human beings in the head. This is all emblematic of a larger issue in video games.

Great article. Having started at the OG Gameboy, the Color was a revelation. Very fond memories of playing both old and new games on that machine. I think I had a transparent purple one… was that a thing? Like so many childhood toy stuffs those old systems are gone with the wind… 🥲
