Still waiting to play TotK, so these characters don’t mean much to me. But the Construct looks cool, so might pick that one up when it releases!

I’ve played for about 9 hours, and yeah, it is very daunting. The world is immense, and the systems reflect that as well. Lots to consider, lots to learn, lots to do. Accepting that I’ll be chipping away at this game for months and months, if not years. Fantastic though!

I would buy a Switch 2 day one for Metroid Prime 4… We need a release date!

Instead, buying a Switch 2 day one to finally open Tears of the Kingdom and play in glorious HDR with improved performance! Then on to Echoes of Wisdom!

@ButterySmooth30FPS Didn’t know there was a demo. Sci-fi Breath of the Wild with hoverboarding sounds good to me! Seems like a chill game to play to relax, which is never a bad thing.

Mario Kart World is starting to interest me more and more; the freedom of exploration sounds like a seriously good time! DK Bananaza on the other hand… uh-no thanks

I grew up loving Mario Kart, but bailed after the Nintendo 64. Bought MK8 (or whatever), enjoyed but didn’t play much. All that said, the freedom and discovery that comes with open world design has me, surprisingly, getting pretty excited about Mario Kart World. You’re starting to win me over Nintendo, you cheeky *****!

The true reality is that our world is in some serious trouble right now, and honestly, the price of Nintendo games and services is the absolute least of our worries. But given video games’ role as an escape from all that, there’s a fair bit to be disappointed with here with this new console launch.

Terrible trailer, totally unclear this was a PvP game. That said, I actually subscribe to NSO because it is priced fairly, compared to PlayStation’s extremely overpriced online service, so there is at least a chance that I’d actually play this game. But we need more concrete details ASAP, because I am confused… Love you Miyazaki, but WTF!!!

Edit: Just read the interview with Miyazaki that Nintendo posted… 🤦🏻‍♂️ This actually sounds pretty cool, and like it’s bringing some fun ideas to the table. Willing to give it a shot!

Wasn’t blown away by the footage, but man-oh-man, I am so ready for a new Metroid Prime game! I’m sure there are plenty of surprises in store.

Will be curious how this performs. I played the sh*t out of my PS4 version (on PS5) on release, but never quite finished it, and then never played the DLC. If this performs well, I may go for it… 🤔

Still no info about game boost; will the Switch 2 inherently have the ability to play Switch 1 games with better performance? Looking increasingly like a “no” 🫤

The pop-in in the city is bonkers. Strolling along and then BOOM giant mech appears out of thin air! Hardly a game I’m worried about immersion-breaking, though. Overall I think it’s pretty impressive for the ‘ol Switcheridoo!

Well Nintendo has had lots to say about making enough consoles for everyone with this launch, so here’s hoping we all have a smooth preorder service! 🤞🏼

@Bunkerneath I am honestly shocked that they’re not launching 2 & 3 remastered. I was expecting a shadow drop at this very direct! Alas… nothing!

@RiasGremory Sure but there’s been three games in this series, and it looks like more of the same in a way that, for me personally, is disappointing. Not asking for a fix, just a little more creativity. Coming from a fan since NES Metroid… But we’ll see, it was only one (pretty short) clip!

Looks beautiful, but… I am a bit disappointed. Doesn’t really look like an evolution of the Prime series at all… I love Metroid, so 100% preordering, but was hoping to be WOW’d…

Started playing this afternoon and the game looks great and performs pretty well (docked, haven’t done handheld yet). I would definitely take 60fps though! Hopefully it’s an upgrade that will happen naturally when played on a NSW2…

Prime 4 will be the system seller for me. I know everyone is anxious for the new Mario game—and I totally get that—but as a lifetime Metroid fan, THIS is what has me geeked and ready to preorder!

Already predicted it—pre-orders opening up immediately after the 4/2 event!

Bring back Xenogears!!!

Edit: Played XC1 way back on Wii. Enjoyed it, but wasn’t crazy about the characters or combat. For some reason I bought XC3 on Switch, haven’t even opened it yet. Excited about XCX though; the emphasis on exploration and combat versus tons of story—and those mechs—has me feeling ready to give it a solid go.

Absolutely going to get this, but may opt for PS5 for a better frame rate and load times. Looks bat sh*t crazy and AWESOME!

Depends on a lot of factors: screen type, backwards compatibility (boost mode?), games, price... Likely I will keep my OLED for my 2d pixel-games and the 2 for newer stuff like Metroid Prime 4.

Metroid: Samus Returns Remastered… TAKE ALL MY MONEY!!! This is the one and only Metroid game I haven’t played bc I skipped the DS… Just lock the map to a ‘pause’ like usual—all good!

nOLED will definitely be disappointing. I am just now coming around to OLED as a “must have”, having finally purchased a LG C4 after years of being wowed by my Switch OLED (got at launch). So yeah, grumpy and all that…

I love Symphony of the Night, but there are sooooo many games in that style these days. I’d love to see something different and unexpected!
But then again, given how long it’s been, playing it safe may be the better option…

Demo is really fun; seems like a fantastic game, but… not something I’d play on Switch. I mostly play handheld, and this is something that deserves a big screen, 60fps, and gyro.

I am expecting $449. For a more powerful and feature-packed iteration of a console that is not dropping in price, $100 more seems logical.
$400 would surprise me…

Finally started Reverie (after buying on sale a year ago) and really enjoying it; it’s quirky, casually challenging, and has lots of atmosphere. The sequel sounds like another step up! Glad to see a positive response here; got my physical copy preordered!

Name is boring, but makes sense. Don’t love the logo either, too busy I think. But yeah… it’s what’s under the hood and in the cartridge slot that’s matter in the end!

Gotta try this solely because it was created by the Blasphemous devs. Probably on a sale…

I voted swan song, with some fun surprises and shadow drops hopefully. And honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if Nintendo surprises us all with pre-orders opening for Switch 2 at the end of the direct on April 2nd, especially given the info about making plenty of units for launch. Let the fun begin!
