So many snarky comments in this thread… Yep I have one light scratch on mine, probably from the dock, because I take excellent care of my electronics. Couldn’t believe it when I saw it… Right in the middle of the screen no less. Never bothered with a screen protector for my OLED and had no issues for 4+ years. This thing, however, clearly more sensitive… Lesson learned, screen protector arriving today. Ugh…

Definitely curious to see more of DO; I will be watching. Likely planning to preorder the game anyways, unless they show me something that makes it look worse lol

8 Deluxe is real good; I especially loved the kart building. But World is grabbing me in a way that Mario Kart hasn’t in a long time. It definitely ain’t perfect, but given time and some updates I imagine it’ll be the GOAT. 🏆

Every time I watch the trailer, this game grows on me more and more. But definitely would love to see some unedited gameplay footage.

Yeah Target did a sh*t job packing those consoles, all rattling around in the box.

I’ve only been playing for a day (~3 hours total), but I am loving it so far. It looks and plays fantastic, and just has gobs of personality! I am liking the way they updated Grand Prix, where rather than repeating a track three times, you do three continuous ‘variations’ on the course; keeps me on my toes! Knockout is the standout, for sure, and is INTENSE! Love it! The free roam… is enjoyable, but as others have said, needed more to unlock and enjoy besides getting stickers. Overall though, very happy with the game!

Tried the demo on PS5 and found it enjoyable, but ultimately didn’t buy. Mouse controls make it an enticing buy on S2. I am assuming it plays and looks similarly, as it definitely wasn’t a powerhouse graphically speaking.

Didn’t realize the charging grip had back buttons! That is a really nice inclusion!

Sold, add to cart! $15 is a steal, too.

That’s beyond stupid… Gamestop really sh*t the bed, there. Wow… Also, maybe, just maybe… Nintendo made a poor choice with that packaging and should have either put the screen face-down towards the inside of the box, or just buried it further in. But Gamestop… 🤦🏻‍♂️

Not a fan of this practice whatsoever, for two big reasons:
1) The game is not on the cart, so it is, in effect, just a digital copy. Sure I can sell it, but will I? Probably not; I don’t buy games just to resell them…
2) My hand is being forced to buy more storage, which I do not like. The big advantage of having the game actually on the cart is only needing a small extra amount for a patch or two. Obviously this aligns with PlayStation and Xbox, of having to install a game, but my Pro has 2TB, so…
I will not be supporting game key cards. Nintendo, give publishers more options for card size!!

I remember growing up wanting to make games. I took a different path, but still would have loved to be a game developer. I wonder what kids in the know are thinking these days…? Choosing game developer as a career is becoming a very risky proposition.. 😥

I’ll be dusting off my Wii Prime Trilogy to play 2 and 3 before the release of 4 (holiday?), but I really would prefer a beautiful remastered version like Prime. Sigh…

I sincerely hope you’re right! Nintendo really needs to communicate more about this theoretical game boost for Switch 1 games. Given those high preorder sales numbers though, why would they bother lol

Very surprised to not see frame rate improvements for the two Legend of Zelda games. I hope others are correct, and that it will resolve itself by running natively on S2, but that’s a big IF… 🤞🏼

Definitely waiting to play a few (unopened) Zelda games on S2… Other than that it’s business as usual! Plugging away at XCX on my Switch OLED, and taking my sweet time with Clair Obscur on my PS5 Pro. Life is good (until you open the news app).

Amazing game! If Switch 2 can handle Cyberpunk well, I would bet it can handle Clair Obscur.

Would be nice if we could get a more “Nintendo” cursor, something Nintendo-themed like Mario’s pointing glove or the master sword or something. Hopefully down the road…

I’d love to hear about image quality/fps compared to other systems. I definitely want to buy on Switch 2 in support of putting the whole game on the cart, but finding it hard not to believe it’ll look/perform much better on my PS5 Pro… probably a guarantee, in fact, but would be great to know the specs so we can be informed.

I was able to preorder through Target, so I’m getting one at launch. That said, I’m not losing my marbles in excitement. Looking forward to finally opening my copy of Tears of the Kingdom to play with improved performance and HDR, and will likely get Mario Kart World as soon as I have some extra cash or some end-of-the-school year gift cards from my students lol.

Hmmmm… I don’t know about a remake… I’d prefer the HD-2D remaster with all the fancy lighting and such. This game still holds up SO well, particularly in the art direction department. The visuals and music are just absolutely iconic! Hmmm…

Not a chance! I’ll be keeping my OLED for my large catalog of digital (and physical) retro games. My Switch 2 will be my primary for 3d stuff that gets upgrades, and of course NSW2-only titles. But yeah, absolutely not trading it in to GamePLOP. Not to mention I already pre-ordered from Target…

As a PS5 Pro owner, I would have no reason to buy these ports. Part of the magic of the remakes is, for me at least, playing these games with the best possible graphics and lighting. But for Nintendo-only gamers, I could absolutely see a market for native ports.

Feeling pretty excited for the new Daemon X Machina. Never played the original, but the sequel looks super awesome. This just made preordering a physical copy a certainty!

Target was a struggle bus this time, unlike usual… Managed to get an order through though thank goodness! Just the system for me, gonna spring for the physical Mario kart, figure it’ll hold its value pretty well. Congrats to everyone who got a system!

I play my Switch mostly handheld, but Prime 4 is goin’ up on the OLED 48”. Can’t wait to rock mouse mode on the couch!

@UltimateOtaku91 This is how I’m feeling as well. I’m hoping the open world and exploration elements add significantly to the single-player experience. I’m excited to race others online, but I’ll likely be enjoying solo the most.
