I never played this until last night. Added it to Analogue Pocket. Played through the first tower and I'm hooked. Can't believe it took me 30 years to play this, but I'm glad I am now.
I wish DK Bonanza was on there just so I could here the Zebra song when I want, instead of having the Zebra song stuck in my head all day and all night long.
DK 3 is in my top 5 arcade games of all time. Only because I was pretty good at it when I was a kid, and I held the high score on the cabinet at my local Aladdin's Castle for a few weeks in 1987. haha.
10/10 for me. I like this more than Odyssey, and both Zelda games. I wasn't excited about this at all when it was first announced, but the Direct did its job and sold me on it, and I've never been so happy to be wrong about a game than I am with this. It's the most fun I've had in a long time playing a game.
I wish there was a trophy or some way of showing off you won an online Knockout game. That was probably one of my proudest gaming moments in a long time.
Yakuza is my current favorite franchise. I completed the whole series (to date) in the last year. Is the Switch 2 version better than than PS4 version? I don't mind double buying a game, but I'm curious.
I'm loving the extra power the Swtich 2 has compared to Switch 1. The only upgrade I purchased so far is the Civ 7 upgrade. And man, talk about an improvement in speed. Barely any lag or load times in-game. And everything fits on screen now. The bigger maps are great. Civ 7 was the last game I bought for Switch 1, and have played 100 hours of it, and I thought it played surprisingly well on Switch 1, but it's no contest now.
I have Mario Kart (got the bundle) and I preordered Cyberpunk. I really have been wanting to play this since it was "fixed." Street Fighter 6 is the only other game I may get at launch (sorry, Bravely Default, I love you, but I can't go through that final stage again). Metroid Prime 4 is probably the only other game I'd get this year.
Target's website crashed at midnight, but I was able to get one in my shopping cart on the app, but the app would let me check out. After about 20 minutes the website came back and thankfully it was in my cart still, and after another 10 minutes or so hitting refresh to get to the check out, I was finally able to get the Mario bundle and Pro Controller.
Never played it. After the initial release was plagued with bugs that deterred me from the game. I know all that has been fixed, and people love this game now, so I'm excited to try it on Switch 2.
The only part that I really didn't care about was the section on the chat and camera options. But I know a lot people care for that, but otherwise I thought it was excellent, and hopefully I'll be able to grab a preorder.
I bought this on a whim when it came out on the SNES. I didn't know anything about it at the time. But I wanted a new RPG, and the box art caught my attention, and to this day it is my favorite game I've ever played.
@Lord Unfortunately, I think that's true. It's easier now, more than ever, to play all these games via something like Analouge Pocket or another form or emulation, but none of these other emulation systems can capture the nostalgia of something released by the actual company.
It's a shame that Sega won't embrace their history (like Nintendo) while still making their only relevant titles, Sonic and the Like A Dragon franchise. It's money left on the table. No wonder they lost the console wars.
I beat Echoes, and I liked it, but it was way too easy. If they ever do an BotW style Zelda playable game, I hope it's more in line with BotW and TotK. Zelda can kick as much ass as Link, so let her show it, and don't go back to the Echoes style of gameplay.
I absolutely love this game. Chrono Trigger is my favorite all-time game. I never heard of Radiant Historia until I saw it mentioned as one of the must play games on the 3DS before the eShop closes. I downloaded it, and fell in love it with instantly. I haven't finished it, but it's such an amazing game, and holds up so well today. I'd love to see it get re-released on Switch or Switch 2 in the future.
I still have my WiiU plugged in and connected to my TV just in the hope that I will someday pick up where I left off with this game. That's been since 2016. I doubt I ever will? But I can't see myself finishing it on Switch either. So I'll just keep my WiiU plugged in a little longer. Someday...
@rushiosan I agree. I started with 0, and worked my way through the whole series (spin-offs and all.) 0 does a much better job at setting up the whole Yakuzaverse if the player is new the franchise.
So I was about 50 hours into Balder's Gate 3 when this came out. It's my go to game now when I need to decompress from BG3. It's a nice palette cleanser of a game. haha
Looks like they're only displaying the Nintendo made NES/SNES games. The light gun game looks really fun. Reminds of the old shooting gallery game at Disney.
Octopath 2 for me. I started this before Zelda came out. I put it down, and completed Zelda. Loved Zelda. I picked Octopath back up again, and then Metroid Prime Remastered came out. I loved revisiting that game again! I beat that, and then went back to Octopath until Spider-Man 2 came out. I platinumed Spidey 2. Love it! I picked up Octo again, to hopefully finish it before the end the of the year. As much as I loved Zelda, and Spidey, there wasn't a better story for me, than Octopath 2. Chrono Trigger is my favorite game of all time. Octopath 2 is right behind it.
This was the last game I downloaded, on a whim, before the store closed. I haven't played it yet, but it's nice to know I'll have more content to play when I do get to it.
I just hooked up my N64 the other day and I replayed some of Conker's Bad Fur Day, and man talk about horrible frame rate for the cut scenes. Still fun, but man did it drag.
I know I'm in the minority, but why do we need a movie at all? The games do a pretty good job at telling the stories. Not everything needs to be a movie or a TV show. I know it's all about the money, but I'm fine with just playing a new good game every few years.

Nintendo could've out "Astro Bot'ed" Astro Bot, but there's no way I'd pay for this. I'll figure out how to plug in the charger on my own.
