I'm finishing up my final 3DS purchases today. I really liked my WiiU, but I basically own everything I'd want physically, and even though I still have it hooked up to my TV, I don't play it that often. Now my 3DS on the other hand I'm going to miss the eshop something fierce. It's my 3rd favorite Nintendo system. I'm nostalgic for the NES and SNES, as those are the systems of my childhood, but the 3DS I played for a longer time, and I took EVERYWHERE. Just about every trip I'd take it with me to get street passes. It's the perfect system to play before bed, or take to the bathroom. lol. I put so many hours into it, it's probably the played system I've played. I like the Switch, but to me, it's not a good portable system. I can't put it in my pocket and go. In my opinion, the 3DS is the best portable system ever. I hope a lot of the digital only games find life somewhere else in the future. I can't image the outcry in about 10 years when Nintendo closes the Switch eshop.

I noticed this last night as well. I felt kinda sad. lol Even with the insanely long load time, I still enjoyed playing this whenever I opened my 3ds. I still got a free play from the practice, but that's not always guaranteed.

I absolutely LOVED Splatoon 1, and I really liked Splatoon 2, but I can't get into Splatoon 3 for some reason? And this comparison doesn't make me want to spend money on the expansion. It makes me want to plug in my Wii U again.

I got the special edition at launch, and I've barely played it. Maybe I should give it a second chance?

I have a red SP. I actually bought it off a co-worker maybe 6 years ago? He sold it to me (and 6 games and a case) for $40. One of the best things to happen to me at work. lol

I voted for the New 3DS XL. I think it's the best portable system just for the fact of how many different consoles games you can play on it. Don't get me wrong, but I love GBA SP, and it's my preferred way to play GBA games, for overall game selection and variety, I'll go with the New 3DS XL.

@Bret Sorry if you were confused. This is a thread about Game Boy and GBA games, and when I said I’d like to see all of them ported over, I was referring to said Game Boy, GBA games. Haha

I'm just hoping that with the 3DS eShop going away for good next month, that they port over all the games that are currently on there for sale.

Loving Metroid Prime Remastered, and the Game Boy games. I may even bite the bullet and do the online expansion so I can play the GBA games. But I'll wait to see what games are in the next wave, and as I have most of the ones they announced on my 3DS from the Ambassador program.

I ordered it off of Amazon for $60. Hopefully they won't raise it since it's already locked in at $60.

The banjo playing swamp guy during the Sony presentation will always be my favorite, "huh?" moment at E3. That was the final "jump the shark" moment for the conference, imo.

I would just like to see the game. I still have it pre-ordered.

I'm finishing up with all the Smash ones, and if they make new Zelda or Mario ones I'll get those as well, but I never bought any Splatoon ones, and I only picked up the AC ones when I saw them on sale at 5 Below. I still really like them, but I've never used them in the games. Mine all still boxed and displayed.

Psychical. I'm panicking just knowing that digital only games on the 3DS will be gone in a couple months.

For me it's purely what I grew up with. While the Switch might be the "best" overall console, for me, the NES and SNES will forever be the best. I have every Nintendo system made since the NES, and nostalgia will always shape my opinion on this subject.

This looks and sounds like it hits all the sweet spots I love in JRPG's. I normally would prefer playing a physical copy of the game, but I don't think I can hold out until next summer. This might be my holiday vacation game next week.

I'd like to see remakes of CoD 1 and CoD 2. CoD 2 was one of the first online (dial up!) games I played. I loved the maps, and would love to replay those with updated graphics.

I would like to have a CoD "retro" pack for Switch. I don't need the latest greatest CoD game on Switch, but I would love to play CoD 2 (online) again. That's the game that got me into the franchise.

I received my physical copy on Friday, and I'm loving it! I never tire of playing Tetris. I will say, I've had a hard time finding ranked matches though. I've tried at least a dozen times trying to play someone, and I only found 2 matches so far. Conversely, over the weekend I was 3 for 3 finding matches on Super Smash Bros. 3DS. lol

@RareAir23 Yeah, I would guess it all depends on Punk's contract, and if it's bought out or not before the game comes out? And the terms of the buy out. I'm sure he was included in the plans for marketing and I'm sure he was paid (or would be paid) on his likeness and name since he owns it.

So is CM Punk erased completely from the game, or just the advertising? Honestly, I will never buy a game that Omega had anything to do with. I'd rather get a Fire Pro game on Switch.

I still have issues #1-118, plus the last 3 issues of the Fun Club News. Out of all the games/systems I've had over the years, my favorite gaming memories are waiting each month (every other month in the beginning) for the newest issue of NP to arrive in my mailbox. I was also lucky enough to stumble upon the last issue at a local grocery store when it was released.

@Serpenterror I received my copy from LRG last week, so they're getting there. To be fair, this was one of the shorter waits I've had with them, but still, they need to work on getting these out faster.

Saturn is the one console I've never played, ever. So I'd like to see that. If they did a Dreamcast mini, the console would be smaller than the controller.

As a kid, just about every Friday or Saturday night I would go out to dinner with my grandparents. We usually went to a cafeteria style restaurant in our local mall. After dinner we'd usually go into the KB Toys at the mall, and they'd buy me a GI Joe figure or Transformer toy. Sometimes they'd buy me an NES game. And that's how I got Metroid. I never read about it before, I simply picked it out because of the box art and what I saw on the back of the box. I was hooked. Metroid is my second favorite Nintendo franchise, and whenever I play the original, I always think about my grandparents.

I've been buying up used Wii U games lately. I can't image they'll be as pricey as DS and some 3DS games in the near future, but I just wanted to flesh out my collection a little more. Just in case.

At first I thought this article meant this game was part of Wal-Mart's Rollback pricing.

@dkxcalibur Yeah, I agree. I do think depending on where you live is a factor on how easy it is to find them after the hype dies down. I think the TG16 was an Amazon exclusive, even though I don't recall ever seeing it officially was? That's how I got mine, but they didn't last long on there either. And I agree on the Game & Watch's. I still see them at my local Target sitting to next to the My Aracde Galaga mini.

@dkxcalibur Generally, yes. Unless you get them on day 1 (either pre-ordered) or standing in line (as I did for the NES & SNES mini's) they're pretty much "sold out" after day 1. I will say I think Sega over estimated the first Genesis mini, as I've seen it in the "wild" as recently as a couple months ago, and I've seen it on sale a lot over the years. So maybe this time, they're not overextending themselves with the new mini?

I pre-ordered the Japanese version when it was announced, before there an announcement for the Genesis 2 mini, and I was fully intending on cancelling the Japanese order, but I may just keep that now just in case something happens to my other pre-order.

Good additions announced today. I have both pre-ordered. If all these additions get announced for the US version I'll probably cancel my Japanese order.

I just played Popful Mail for the first time last night, and what a fun game. I can't believe I never heard of it until recently. Hopefully it'll come to the US version.

So weird that it's being handled by Amazon Japan, and not the US. So no free Prime shipping. So odd.

I bought this day 1 on the PS4, and it's amazing how different the game is now compared to then. I still go back to it from time to time on my PS5. It's still one of my favorite "chill vibe" games. I may pick it up for Switch, but I want to see how it runs on it first.
